LEON Milton Keynes (Midsummer Place) in Milton Keynes

Quite an expensive place to buy from however the taste is somewhat aligned with the price so I have bought from them on a couple of occasions. I wont be coming back though and the 1* review is to draw attention to the fact they have for some perplexing reason, removed the container they store the goods in and now just have everything out and open right where people are walking past. No doubt getting flies and spit from people talking over them. Wont be coming back until they bring back a more hygienic storage/presentation method.

Bought a piece of pistachio brownie for £4.20. Incredibly stale, bone dry. I think it was baked a month ago.

First time visit. Super cakes for a treat in the hols, and really lovely lady running the place.

Fabulously tasty Victoria Sponge cake , about £4.50.

I’ve never been here before but I tried a few cakes and omg the brownie with caramel and ricecrispies are heaven! I also had the wagon wheel which was also so delicious, I was going that little dance you do when something is so good! Will deffo return for more, shame about the location though

Everything I've tried from here - brownies, scones, cookies - has been disappointing for the price. It often doesn't even resemble what it claims to be. They've fixed the issue with prices not being clearly marked, but the pay point still doesn't show the price on the customer side.

The cake went down well with my colleagues when I brought them into the office and then again when I took some to a family gathering. Updating as they now focus more on the donuts - they are amazing. The old cakes used to be way too sickly imo but the donuts are perfect👌

Bakes are always nice and priced reasonably fairly. Paper bags can leave some of the toppings being smeared on the inside of the bag. But otherwise nothing to fault!

Had a lemon poppyseed doughnut - just a slice of vegan heaven 😋

Really brightened our day to have had such great service from Dale. Have allergies and struggled with the ordering on the tablets which cancelled our orders twice. Dale was however great- took the order, double checked everything, was v apologetic and attentive- had been hungry and irritable but he made it so much better. Great value breakfast too.

Received a delivery of doughnuts that were placed in paper bags. Most of the topping had been pulled off. Had ordered a mixed box but they all turned up in bags. They were for a birthday celebration and we couldn’t use them. Icing all over the bags. Didn’t want to “complain” on the delivery app wanted to speak to butterwick directly, sent a Facebook message which wasn’t replied to. Sent an email which also wasn’t replied to. Commented on their Facebook page 3 times again with no reply. Extremely disappointed and frustrated.

The food was poor. The waffle fries were rock hard and inedible. The burger was lukewarm with brown salad. Although it wasn’t busy every table was filthy and the staff were just milling around the counter rather than cleaning down. Not been to Leon for a long time and it’s a shame that it’s gone downhill as it used to offer something a little different. Now it’s a very low end fast food offer.

The cakes from this bakery kiosk in Midsummer Place in Milton Keynes are just divine!! Can’t recommend highly enough. Superb value and lovely friendly staff.

Incredibly great tasting treats! And above all customer service is 10/10!! Definitely worth the trip to come and try this place!!

Excellent cakes fantastic service

Nuggets were good, waffle fries tasted nice but lukewarm. Chicken burger meat looked a bit pink and lukewarm same with the rice box - considering we ate in I would’ve expected it to be hot. Underwhelmed.

Cinnamon fritter is 10/10, lovely friendly service ❤️

i went to butterwicks for the first time to grab a quick coffee on my way to work, i had a great chat with a member of staff Jessie, she was very friendly and convinced me to try a lovely vegan donut! What a great start to my day thanks to butterwicks :) will definitely be visiting again!

Food was not edible. Chicken in salad was brown rock solid and when cut full of stringy fat, salad and dressing had no flavour. Chips were tasteless and stone cold. Chicken nuggets the chicken was brown and full of gristle and fat…. Cookie tasted of saw dust. Everything went in the bin a wasted £22 and will never visit a Leon again

Four staff on and clearly bored. No welcoming smiles - very grumpy. Felt like being here was an inconvenience for them as we wanted to sit in not takeaway. High chair was dirty, table was dirty. No offer to clean them for us, we had to do it ourselves. Sourdough breakfast muffins, avocado and halloumi, and coffees were nice. Hash browns very dry and room temp on arrival.
