Incredible fresh sandwich, coronations chicken on freshly baked brown bread. 😍. The cakes and deserts are at a ridiculously cheap price, but taste amazing. All baked and served by a lovely husband and wife. Support these lovely people. ❤️

An amazing choice of sandwiches, generous fillings, freshest bread, plus an array of homemade cake and lots of other yummy stuff. Great value, not expensive. Highly recommend the Great Dane if you’re feeling hungry!!

We last bought sandwiches here 18 months ago on a visit from Wirral to family. Forget the family, all that way just for a ‘Great Dane’! (Ham, salami (thick cut) cheese, mayo and salad). Can you open your mouth wide enough?! All sandwiches include salad. Really we need to stay 3 weeks to try the whole menu. Want an extra, try the range of cakes, quiche, wraps sausage rolls, pastries etc. Staff very friendly and approachable. Prices not expensive and exceedingly good value

Popped in with my Mum yesterday for a quick bite to eat, was not disappointed!! The prices of everything were incredibly reasonable, the menu for sandwich fillings was so vast it took us ages to choose! When the sandwiches arrived we were aghast! Such huge, delicious sandwiches that we thoroughly enjoyed. Took cake home for later- very competitively priced and beautifully made. Thank you so much, can't wait to return!! 👌😁

Stopped for lunchtime sandwich and really pleased I did. Very wide choice of made to order sandwiches, plus loads and loads of other options. Terrific and friendly service. Very much worth the minor detour from the A303. And there's free parking around the corner, too!

My wife and I fancied stopping off for a coffee and bite to eat, straight away we entered on a negative note being told if we want to sit in we have to pay extra, I'm still quite shocked to even be informed of this as a takeaway menu can speak for itself. All in all terrible service we asked for a bacon sandwich and the lady said if we want more go up the road to the other cafe as they do full breakfasts... in my opinion possibly the worst way to build customer rapport.. we then received bacon baps I was sure I ordered a sandwich, maybe the staff need to learn the difference between a bap and a sandwich. I don't mean to be harsh but customers are no.1 and unless you great them with a happy face and do all you can then what's the point in having a business cause they won't return and it's a small town, I would like to thing the member of staff was just having a bad day but I'm not so sure. We won't be returning to find out.. will probably check out the cafe up the road though as it sounds good.

It was worth battling up Wincanton Hill through dangerous ice and slush to wait in the queue for one of these yummy sausage rolls. All tables were filled with people enjoying hot food and drinks. Waiting in line it is very easy to be tempted by numerous other delicious savoury and sweet delights... truly a deli. (Try the brownie with hidden pecan.)

We enjoyed a great, lavish ham and somerset brie panini here recently . The place is small, only three tables so we were lucky to get one but they do take away. There seemed to be just one extremely efficient, extremely calm and helpful, member of staff coping well with a huge queue of people. We do hope she isn't too over worked! The food and the ambience were lovely.

What can I say other than this is the very best place to get your lunch from, sandwiches, wraps, pies and pasties, not forgetting healthy salads and jackets but of course the wonderful range of cakes can tempt a saint.

The coffee is served from a vending machine (unbelievable but true) and tastes just awful. The service is lousy and begrudging. I left after 2 mouthfuls... more than enough pain for one day.

The Lemon Tree is really a very good bakery which also serves other good things to eat. All of their baked goods are make on site and everything I have eaten from there has been exceptional. On Saturday we dropped in and I had a chilli-beef pasty which as expected was tasty and had the right proportion of pastry to filling: no great air gap either. the chilli heat built as I ate to a very pleasant crescendo of warmth. The orange and cranberry cake was good too. It is always worth a visit as the food is so good and the proprietors are so friendly.

A place though small large in character sweet and savoury cakes and pastries produced on the premises and not from a prebaked or frozen mass produced source. The service is warm and friendly and there is a good crowd of what I suppose you would call more mature regulars. Also a very nice selection of quality jams etc. to purchase and take home. Maybe I am old fashioned but I like this non shiny plastic and garish coloured approach to a café

Having neglected to eat for over 24 hours, I had arrived in Wincanton to visit a friend starving hungry. It was initially chance that brought me to the Lemon Tree Delicatessen, and I can only say that in hindsight it was good fortune, as the homemade, fresh and really high quality food I ordered was really great. So great that I continued to deliver rave reviews to my friends throughout my visit!Highly recommended, and will be visiting when in the area again.

A small deli parked on the high street in Wincanton with 3 tables for sit-down food and drink.Upon arrival I waited patiently in line behind 2 other customers then I decided to sit at a vacant table thinking that once the assistant had finished serving her last customer she would come over to the table to ask for the order, instead, I got left sitting at the table for 3 or 4 minutes in her full site. Then she shouted over the counter asking me what I wanted, I shouted back my order and then she shouted back to me that I must come to the counter and pay as she was far too busy to collect money once people had finished and everything had to be paid up front.Once the coffee came it, it made me wish I hadn't bothered. It was horrible. Weak, too much milk and with no coffee flavour...just a very granular taste in my mouth and a slight bitterness. It wasn't until another customer came in and ordered a take-away coffee that I realised what was going on...the coffee is served from a vending machine!!Once I realised what was going on I got up and left, leaving behind an un-drunk cup of coffee never to darken their doors again.
