Leinster Arms in City of London, Westminster

It's actually a nice pub. However, I have rarely experienced so much incompetence all at once. One evening we asked for cider and got beer. The waitress didn't seem to know that there was cider either. But the highlight was when we went there a second time. We ordered vegetarian food and got meat instead! The waitress didn't even apologize at first and later only reacted bitchy when we brought it up. It's a shame, because the food there is actually okay and the location is nice.

It is the best pub in London! It has an amazing atmosphere, it feels like home, like coming back to your family house after a long time. Team members are very friendly and chatty. I was welcomed by a friendly man behind the bar. We had a little chat and laugh. Then other team members joined our conversation. It felt like we knew each other for a while. They made me feel very welcome. Usually, I don't eat in bars, but I was tired and it seemed like the best available option. I ordered lasagne and a starter. I was impressed by the quality of food. The portion was very large and it tasted like something from the Michelin restaurant. Well done to the shef! I was served by a young girl who started this job only a few days ago. She was very kind and caring. She kept checking out on me and cheering me up with jokes. Even other visitors were unusually nice, smiling and chatting to me from other tables. It's the best pub I have ever been to! Highly recommend!

Great place to hangout with friends or to just socialize in general. Very nice staff and the atmosphere is quite cosy as well!

Immaculate experience from start to finish. The Leinster Arms has delicious food and a convivial and warm atmosphere. It is a true gem amongst London pubs and was the perfect place to watch Monday night football. Our waitress Sarah was absolutely wonderful and made our evening with her brilliant service and winning smile.

We're often in London but we haven't found a place like this yet - no wonder it's full on Tuesdays too! For once not a chain and excellent food with extremely courteous service, thank you for the recommendation! We'll definitely come back here! Very nice atmosphere!🙂👌

Not usually one to leave reviews but wow this pub delivers on all fronts. The food was delicious and I was not surprised to hear their steak pie had won gold at the British Pie Awards. My friend kept uttering the words "ten out of ten" and "extraordinary" and I have to agree with her on this one. Despite it being a busy night, Sarah was able to make us feel very welcome and provided exceptional service. 10/10 would recommend.

Very nice bar, very good food, very nice waiters. It was right down the street from our hotel and we went several times, we really liked it. It is also a pet friendly place so if you travel with your pet I recommend it 100%

Beef and venison pie. Mashed potatoes too.much salt. No HP. Lamb shank cottage pie. Meat good but insufficient potatoes to.complete.dish. Bar not attended. Had to wait to order .....Several wait staff ignored the fact that we were waiting to order at the bar.

This is such a great cozy little spot off the Main Streets. The fish & chips is fantastic with the light and airy breading and I generally am not a fish eater! Great selection of beers, and they have a lager that my dad really took a liking to which is probably why we came here three times during our 8 day visit. Steph is absolutely wonderful and was so incredibly sweet. She even did a quick search on her phone to see the best way to get to Braintree so we could visit where my grandma was born and raised. I would absolutely come back if I find myself in London again and know I’ll be craving the fish & chips from there in no time.

Lovevy place to eat simple but efficient pub food

This pub is absolutely lovely! Such a fun atmosphere, great food and drinks, and the service staff were all very welcoming and friendly. My family and I had a stop off in London for a few days before heading back to the states after a Europe vacation. We were so fortunate to have this place right on down the street from where we were staying. Funny to say we did end up eating there for the 3 nights we stayed, we enjoyed it that much. We were able to try multiple plates they offered and were not disappointed by any of them. And of course you can’t go to a pub without having a pint, or two. The beer and cocktails did not disappoint either. Steph was an absolute sweetheart, so personable, friendly and attentive! The second night we went in, she had recognized us from the night before. She started talking to us, asking us about our day and our trip. For being “out of towners,” we were never treated or felt as such. Felt right at home! I would highly recommend going here!

Amazing pub with great food and customer service. Staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. We were looked after by Steph and she was so friendly and on top of it all. We had the lamb shank and sausage and mash, both were so delicious! We also had the crumble of the day (plum and ginger) which we really enjoyed. Definitely recommend visiting this pub!

Fully enjoyed our treat of appetizers and midday pints at the Leinster Arms. Glazed sausage and the chicken wings were fantastic and a must have. This was only beat by the exceptional service and smile’s from Rohan our waiter. Well done!!! Cheers

Had planned to watch the Quins match there but it wasn't on, and the place was packed so only stayed for a quick pint on the terrace outside

They came up as a great place to get a Sunday roast dinner near me. They did not have a Sunday roast. We’re from the US and are leaving Wednesday. Guess we don’t get to experience this British tradition. We should have moved on. I had the chicken schnitzel which was tender in the big part of the chicken and completely crisp and over cooked in the thin parts. To be fair, they did come and take our order, the potatoes underneath the chicken shnitzel were perfect and the price wasn’t bad. I was just disappointed I didn’t get the traditional Sunday roast that they advertised.

Steph was so lovely! She made my family feel so welcome. We hope to come again before the end of our trip. Food, beer, and service was perfect.

Great spot just off of Hyde Park. Great selection of beers and food. Friendly service and dog friendly! Lots of locals in there as well!

I recently visited Leinster Arms with a group of 8 for dinner and drinks. We had a blast. The food was excellent and the drinks were fabulous. We enjoyed our interactions with Rohan and Tao. They were there to please! They were attentive and courteous. They made sure that we had an awesome experience! Even though we were only spending three nights in London, we made sure to come back and visit Leinster Arms a second time. Highly recommend! Hopefully you will have the opportunity to run into Rohan and Tao!

A typical English pub. Great beer, great ambience, great food, great service. The prices in England are typically slightly higher than in Germany. But that doesn't detract from anything.

If you’re in the area of Bayswater/ Lancaster Gate. You must visit the Leinster arms. Most friendly old English pub, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Food is good, it really is a must, believe me.

Absolutely fabulous! My mother was English and made marvelous meat pies; I had the Pancetta Chicken pie and it was delicious! The hosts, Rohan and Tad, were fantastic and served our group brilliantly! 5+ stars; cannot recommend highly enough!

I ate here for 2 evenings in a row because I had a great time, the food is delicious and the staff is very kind, the price is in line with the quality and other places in the area. Highly recommended

Rohan & Tad took great care of our group of 6. Excellent Fish & Chips and the Chicken Pancetta pie is spectacular. Highly recommend this place for a pint or 2 and a great meal.

Ruined by the landlord... Everything was nice until the landlord rocked up after I'd been in his pub and spent £60 on a few drinks and food for myself whilst sat out of the way at the small section of bar. I sat in the same seat for over 3 hours with no problems at all until Mr landlord appears with his dog and tells me I can't sit there!! I think you need a lesson in customer service pal. Other than that the staff and food was great. Can't recommend based on that.

During my trip, my mom and I went there because it was the closest to our hotel. It was my first time at a pub and I was having trouble ordering, but a female staff member kindly helped me out. It was crowded with customers and had a great atmosphere. I would definitely like to come back next time I come to the UK.

Must go when in London. Located in a quiet neighborhood you are welcomed in a nice pub style restaurant. Food, drinks and service is amazing and the prices are decent.

Weird pub. Looks and feels properly authentic and the beers were nicely kept. Staff friendly too. Food unfortunately wasn’t up to much and as our server explained to us the mash potatoes were microwaved from frozen!! This made for a pretty boring meal and would definitely not return for food. Also there were 3 screens showing sport with quite a few punters watching but absolutely zero atmosphere from anyone there who all seemed to be surgically attached to their phones. So, an authentic looking pub without any of the atmosphere or good humour you would hope for.

Steph was our waitress for both nights we ate dinner. Mac and cheese was amazing. Falafel was absolutely perfect. Chicken wings were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Even the olive plate was beyond expectations. Most importantly was the outstanding service received by Steph. She was kind, sharp and witty. My wife and I really enjoyed here recommended places to visit in London. She is a gem and deserves much more than the included service charge. To my fellow Americans, tip no less than 20% please.

This was a cool little place to sit and enjoy a pint with my wife and oldest son. The owner was very friendly and so was her dog.

Nice little find tucked away in Paddington area, cost environment with quick & friendly service. The team were very outgoing & chatty which was a nice change for London, Rohan was very talkative at the bar & helped me pick a good local beer, with portobello being his recommendation due to it being a locally sourced beer unique to the area which I appreciated. Great all round.

A perfect place to watch games, have beer, good food and amazing time. Alice and Sandra helped us with our order and their amazing service and we had the luck to meet Barley as well!!

Good place to eat and have a drink. We went out for a walk and found this bar with a very good atmosphere and a staff of 10. Very good food. If we come back here, we will repeat.

The pies were really good but the "buttery mash" had not an ounce of butter in it and the sides of one of the dishes were not the ones written on the menu

Had good ratings and reviews. Made a reservation on open table. Got there 2 guys working and had no clue about reservation but said to find a table. No problem. Then waited 20 min and they never came to serve us. We left. I told him we were sitting waiting there for 20 min and he said “so sorry…we are busy” lol

We came in for appetizers with our teenagers while on vacation from the USA. Loved the neighborhood and comfort of the pub. Steph was a wonderful server and made us feel like family! Highly recommend the sausage appetizer!!! Thank you for having us Steph!!
