Leinster Arms in City of London, Westminster

This place must do so much harm to the UK's reputation. It's always full of tourists eating the worst looking food money can buy. The lager is sour too. That said, the staff are always great and the it's a great looking pub. But when you hear tourists slag off England's food, this is definitely what they mean. It could easily offer much better food and beer.

My experience was fantastic. The staff was very kind and I did not have to wait a long time to receive my order. The food was delightful specially the Sausage and Mash. Furthermore, I was served by a bartender called Cecilia and she was such a lovely person to me. I would definitely recommend Leinster Arms to a friend and I will be coming back very soon. This was definitely a 5 star experience

Nice atmosphere in the pub. A table was arranged for us in a relatively full pub and we were able to eat. The food was really delicious and the service very friendly.

Quiet unpretentious pub perfect for a drink but would not recommend the food. Prices very reasonable for the area and friendly quick service. Kitchen open non stop but again not gastro pub, more quick microwave...

Nice little quiet boozer to catch a match in on a whim..was on a work break so only had a lime and soda...but seemed like the regular selection of beers available. Was told by colleagues in business near by that the food is decent so will try on my next visit.

Popped in to this lovely pub on our way to our hotel. We just wanted something quick for lunch and chose the lasagne. The food was really tasty and the service was excellent. Would pop in again if we are in the area.

The dessert was delicious! The fried fish was good too, but the fries could have used more seasoning, as they were a bit bland. But everything else was delicious.

Excellent classic pub set in the back streets between Lancaster Gate and Bayswater (W2)…A good selection of beers and spirits… Steph was an exceptional host and unusually knowledgeable about cheese!!!… Look forward to returning soon…..

An old style pub serving a selection of cask and keg beers. It has a number of tv's showing various sports. The tables are shoehorned to maximise numbers, which is a sensible thing to do. Unfortunately, the food, I would guess, is pre- prepared and heated up on demand. Due to this, the minted peas (why, shoukd always be mushy peas) were cold and not very appealing. They were reheated but still not up to an acceptable standard. The fish and chips were fine, and so was my wife's chicken. Please work on this as it spoilt the occasion.

We stayed a few doors down from the leinster arms and whilst out exploring we came across this little pub. We decided to take a look and stayed for drinks. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next night to have dinner and some more drinks. We were served by Gagan and he was so kind and very well mannered. We are visiting from Ireland and will be going home soon, but we will definitely be back the next time we are in London!

Cuisine très bonne, typique anglaise. Compréhension difficile avec les serveurs qui ne font pas plus d'effort quand tu ne parles pas bien la langue.

We stumbled across the pub whilst waiting for our hotel room. As soon as we entered the pub, we had a friendly greeting and offered a table. Drinks order taken, really friendly staff asking where we were from, offering advice on drinks. Food was really good and very reasonably priced for London. Would definitely go again if in the area, thoroughly recommend!

Very nice place to stay. You have the Chance to See some Sports If you want to. The waiters are nice but seems not so used the do Their Jobs. Steph seems Like the Most competent waiter and ist very nice, but i dont Like that she wants to get some recommodations from every costomers with her Name on it. Long Story Short. A good place to visit !

Gagan fue majísimo con nosotros. La comida pues normalita. El fish and cheaps rico y con buena cantidad. Los calamares vaya… un poco escasos. Y la fondue con pedir una para dos sirve.

It was lovely and we just had one of our best nights thanks to all waiters and our waiter Steph who was just sweet and amazing And do not forget the food it was all homemade and fantastic I had the Fish and chips and I am not to keen on Fish normally but it was just amazing and I almost ate it all. I would recommend the hartridge as it is really god if you like a bit sour drinks.

This is one of my favourite hideaways when in London. You feel like you've escaped the rat race the minute you walk though the door. Food is good and the staff are very friendly & helpful. Mind you on one day I dropped in it took a good 5-8 minutes to find someone to serve me. It was at a quiet time but not great when you call out for service and there is no answer.

From a tourists perspective it's a stereotypical pub and that makes it a fun place to go! Conveniently located next to a few hotels and has sports and beer.

Went back to have dinner and the food was very good! Great place anytime I came back to London.

A little shambolic the day that we were there - maybe they were just having a bad day? Half the items that were on the menu weren't actually on the menu, we waited ages for all our food and then when it came out, it was all cold. Looks like it might be ok if you were looking for a sports match because there were tellies everywhere and at least they have dogs!

Had nachos which were pretty good and the steak and venison pie. The pie was good, the sides were a let down.Broccoli Rabe was not edible. Mash made from a box. Come on people, lets not get cheap and lazy, England is full of potatoes, lets use 'em.

Worst service ever! We wanted to order more drinks and waited 30 minutes until a waitress showed up. No one asked how the food was. And the salad had almost no sauce on it.

Came across this quaint little spot by accident and so glad we did.We were starving, and the food here did not disappoint good unpretentious food at a decent price,atmosphere was lovely we ended up staying longer than we thought it was cosy,relaxed and the staff where all so lovely,polite and smiling which can be hard to find nowadays the young girl ( I think her name was steff) sorry if its wrong was brilliant, she was so kind and warm made us feel really welcome and at ease . Prices were good for the area, too. Definitely worth a visit.

On an overnight stay in London I was unable to get food in my hotel so looked for a pub close by and stumbled on the Leinster Arms and I am do glad that I did. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, there was a good selection of draught drinks and the menu gave a good choice. I had the lamb shank but changed the mash for thick cut chips and it was fantastic. The meat literally just fell off the bone. Aside of all of that I really loved the choice of music playing at just the right level of noise to not be over powering whilst being able to watch the football. When in the area again I'll certainly come and visit this pub again. Oh and key Point....its dog friendly!!

This is a nice place to go if you’re eating alone. Friendly atmosphere. Good choice of dishes all at a reasonable price and efficient, thoughtful service.

In November 2023 we were back in London for some sightseeing and shopping. As usual, we visited the Leinster Arms as we have done so many times before. Always a pleasure to come here. The service is very nice (especially Robert) and courteous. The atmopshere is very informal. You feel right at home. We'll definitely be back on our next holiday.

The atmosphere was nice but the service was not the best, i was waiting for 15-20mins to pick my order up but they did not, so I had to go to the bar to order. The fish and chips was not too bad but unsalty.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner on Saturday evening as its close to our hotel and had quite good reviews. My pasta was lovely, my boyfriends pie was also great, but his vegetables were sparse and rubbery sadly. When we asked for the bill, the staff member bought the card payment to the table on the 'add gratuity' screen. There was no amount visible so we had no idea how much we were being charged, and he didn't bring the bill either! I asked to see the bill again and he pressed 'no' to gratuity so I could see the amount being charged, but thats not the same as seeing the bill. So I went to the bar to ask yet again for the bill. Finally they printed off the bill so I could see the breakdown of our order and check it was correct. It was correct, but they had added a service charge already, so frankly it was deceitful to try and get me to add a gratuity when one was already added to the bill. Very disappointed

Must visit for an authentic experience. Had chicken wings and couple of beers. Waiter Robert was the kindest guy ever.

This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool. One of their staff (Gagan) is really friendly and professional. They know what they’re doing and how to keep customers happy. Food is pretty good and it’s 100% worth it.
