Leicester Market in Leicester

It was disheartening that we encountered rude behaviour from some fruit and vegetable sellers for no reason.

The new move is rubbish, just about find out where it was. All the stalls are to close together. Peter Selby has a lot to answer for! Want the market to go back to it original place. Lest I could find what I needed.

Massive market. Clothes. Fruit and veg. Traditional goods available. Handbags 👜 and luggage 🧳. Gifts. Too many goodies to mention. Covered.

Rubbish. The worst experience and Meal I`ve ever had at a M'c Donald's.

Lots of building work so market is very small now. Plenty fruit and veg stalls but not alot of anything else. The council have changed the plans for new market what this means God knows

So cheap .any vegetables and fruits.other products like household goods also selling in the market.very reasonable prices

Visiting for the day Leicester is a very nice town centre with everything you need Well worth a visit

Tightly packed market. With plenty of enthusiastic sellers. Just be prepared to consume food quicker than from a supermarket.

One word. Excellent. I was there Saturday afternoon. Cheap as Chips. Lovely people, Great Bargains, and importantly, such a safe place to shop. I used to work in Leicester quite a few years ago. I travelled there everyday from Loughborough, another lovely town. I was based at RNIB Vocational College, Also Loughborough University. I found the people so friendly and helpful to my Visual impairment. And now I can say this: it hasn't changed a bit. Part of the market is being rebuilt. But, all in all it's still a nice way to shop for fresh food item. There is a big. Seafood place in the covered section,

I'm almost 60 years old, almost 🤔,, I first started shopping at Leicester market with my mum and she was never wrong, the very best butcher and fishmongers and deli are situated in the indoor market, p good value and fresh food goes a long way for me and I guess it goes a long way for most people give it a go what have you got to lose. 👍

Fab, but not much there due to renovations

Wasn't aware of how dull and dismal this place to a point I kwt left the city also the east of the Midlands back the west of the Midlands

Great. Very cheap veg. Most of it is great quality but you should a have a close look at it. Huge selection of fresh fish. Check out the polish bakery and the bread at the cheese monger at the entrance. That one has a spectacular British goats log. The other cheesemonger has great aged cheddars. Try the Canadian one!

At least it's been relocated yards away from the original market and still full of life

Do not Leicester Market just yet,has its been demolished, setting way for a brand new one which will take at least 12 months.

Loved the cleanliness. Could've been bigger but hoping once the renovation is completed, the market will be much much bigger than what it is presently.

Indoor market is fantastic. Great value for money butchers and cheese stalls. Outdoor market haven't used for years as not so good value.

Went there to get some juicy oranges got home and they were so dry don't advertise juicy if they are not

The Leicester Market has sadly been declining since the pandemic. The council want to revamp the market so watch this space!

Leicester market it's ok but very small stalls to close together

since moving it down the street to a much smaller area it is now cramped and hard to get around, however the fruit and veggies are good quality for a good price.

Well the old market is being pulled down and there will be a new one in it's place hopefully better than the last one. The market got moved to dragon squire

Can't wait for it to relocate back to it's original place. The stall holders are doing a brilliant job keeping it going and it is good to shop at.

I was there for Christmas in 2012. And I fell in love with this city. Although I was a little cold. But it was fantastic.

Nothing interesting to buy..gone right downhill..not big enough or good enough to be called a market!!!

The place to find fresh vegetables and fruits in good rates. If you want in very good price then visit the place before half an hour of it's closing time, tentatively around 03:30 pm or after.

Bought beautiful tasty salmon fish from our regular fish seller. Very kind and friendly bunch of lads. Definitely recommend you guy go there. Best fresh fish, straight from the sea into your oven

Brilliant meat and fish hall where they are happy to sell just one sausage or rasher of bacon if need be. The outdoor covered market great value fruit and veg with plenty of friendly banter. Who needs soulless supermarkets...

Things are cheaper in Leicester market

You can get fresh fruit and vegetables, birthday and other cards and wrapping paper. There are three cafes, an indoor market where you can buy meat, chops, sausages, cheese, sliced meat for sandwiches, fish and bread and cobs. It is being updated, and the main market has moved to green dragon square

Yes, it was alright, wait and got some fruit and veg. That's only the reason I went down market but the closed the old one down. Let's 2 years to do, but no one. But they seem to be a bit squashed up. So that could do with that new one. Finishing quick blue light is a great day.

Nice place. Plenty of fresh produce and great value compared to any supermarket around. Everyone should try local traders and support small independents businesses. You'll be amazed how cheap and fresh their vegetables are. Go, visit and experience for yourself.

Sin lugar a dudas un sitio mágico para visitar en navidad. Es una plaza con mucho ambiente y que sirve de nexo con muchos puntos de interés (dependiendo de la ubicación de vuestro hotel) hay un mercado curioso navideño. Donde puedes comprar adornos mientras comes/bebes algo dando un paseo.

Wanted a thermal hi vis vest and the stall holder wanted £25!! I think they make up the price depending on what you look like you will pay. Most stuff is cheaply made and not durable.
