I’ve had a few breakfasts from here during the lockdown period; all been good, but this is the first time we did the share box between the 3 of us, my sons of 10 and 8 and me. It worked really well, and was suggested by the lady with whom I spoke. I rang through the order and breakfast arrived 20 minutes later – I live in Aber so free delivery; don’t know what the score is if you live in the surrounding villages. Lovely large pizza style box containing the main items: eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausages, toast; separate to this were: mushrooms, tomatoes and beans all in their own containers. Everything was well wrapped. We also ordered some extra toast. Everything nicely cooked, with very little going to waste. It was nice just placing the food in the middle of the table, and everybody helping themselves. Lovely treat to have during the Easter hols.

I recently visited for breakfast, had a large legend breakfast, however I asked for the bacon to be well cooked as I hate fatty bacon, what do I get.. Fatty salty bacon.. Yukk, eggs were greasy, a whole tin of baked beans, way too much, the sausages were not very nice, the only things nice were the mushrooms and the black pudding, therefore I wasn't impressed and I will not be visiting again 2.5 out of 10 and I'm being generous

Seeking a hearty breakfast in Abergavenny whilst traveling to Brecon for another day as a cricket umpire, trip advisor suggested Legends Cafe. Plenty of parking nearby and a charming cosy but small cafe . The breakfast of Poached eggs on Toast with bacon and coffee was of a high standard not expected and served with a smile . Having asked for a couple of eggs I was really pleased to find three small ones rather than the usual two tiny ones. The bacon was not the usual wafer thin mass produced variety but very tasty and what many would see as local butcher produced and of a good depth and well trimmed. The coffee was not bitter but really enjoyable. I suspect that this must be seen as a little Gem and a great find. I was encouraged by the level of take away food being collected by locals they clearly know the quality and value of Legends Cafe.

I popped in here for breakfast as I was staying locally for a few days. I thought it was wonderful! Good sized menu on the wall so you could easily choose what you want. Super breakfast at a great price. Staff were attentive and friendly. Seems very popular and noticed that there were lots of regulars who were welcomed by name by staff in there which was nice to see. You won’t be disappointed and I have no hesitation in recommending this place.

My last visit to Abergavenny was a year ago and then I had a very good meal in the Market Cafe. Today it was closed and so, looking in close proximity to it, I found Legends Cafe. Well! Am I glad I did! I ordered ham, egg and chips with a cup of tea. The portion size was impressive and the quality was second to none, the tea tasted great and was in a decent sized mug and the customer service was brilliant. And all at a very reasonable price! It was certainly a place with a welcoming atmosphere which, as a single customer, was appreciated. What particularly struck me was the care exhibited by the waitress to an elderly gentleman in the corner. It's not often you see such an exemplary standard. I am definitely going to return.

We have been planning on going in for a while, usually stick to what we know but glad that yesterday we finally went in. Had a lovely breakfast all fresh, local produce. Great service and at a good price. We hadn't sat down for long before some local builders came in who chatted away to us and others in the cafe making us feel most welcome. It was lovely for my Grandad whose 88 he loved the chat. We will definitely visit again. Thank you

Have passed Legends many a time thinking we must call in one day and yesterday was the day! Really friendly welcome from staff and other customers on a really hot busy day when there was several festivals and events being held in the town. Menu was varied and seemed to cater for all tastes. Each of had different snacks and everything was freshly prepared and well presented. I would thoroughly recommend this place for all ages and appetites.

This cafe does not look much from the outside but don’t let that put you off. The breakfasts for vegetarians and meat eaters were both tasty and freshly cooked with our requests for eggs to be cooked a certain way accommodated with a smile. Staff were very friendly and chatty and the place was full of a good mix of tourists and locals alike.

I visited with my Grandfather this morning and had the Full Legend as pictured below; I walked away stuffed from eating this hearty and tasty breakfast. It costs £8.50 but I am happy to pay this as it is a lovely and quaint little cafe. Hidden under the eggs are 3 thick pieces of bacon and some mushrooms. There could have been more black pudding! Will definitely visit again in the near future.

This cafe serves a good hot breakfast, as well as offer good value for money. Staff and service excellent, with parking easy if you use the Morrison’s car park. Small and friendly would return if in the area again.

Always go here the breakfasts are amazing they are HUGE. I normally get defeated by the large legand but not without a fight. One thing I think could be improved is the coffee it’s very weak I think the machine needs to be replaced. Other than that, fab!

Having not been to The Greyhound for a year or so, I was thrilled with our choice. Nothing had changed, everything was as good as before. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Despite the restaurant being busy, Service was prompt and friendly and the food ( Steak & Kidney Pie / Fruity Chicken Curry ) was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended. We certainly won't leave it so long till we return

Beautiful location and beer garden is beautiful next to the river, however the barmaid was very snappy with my boyfriend and it seemed very clicky. A shame as it would be beautiful in the summer months

Another enjoyable visit to the Holland Arms. Usual friendly welcome and great service. We shared a duck starter from the specials board, amazing, especially the sauce. We then had lamb and steak as our mains. Both meats were delicious as were the accompanying vegetables. Good choice of wine (I enjoyed the Malbec). Couldn’t resist a bread and butter pudding for dessert - even though full. Look forward to our next visit - probably one of the Christmas meals now being advertised. Very reasonable bill.
