Nice and clean coffee show with fresh looking food. However, the 2 cappuccinos we ordered were not quite hot enough for our liking. The staff were friendly enough considering the whole store was freezing cold! We noticed that all the staff (not that there were that many of them there) had coats on, which must be very unpleasant having to work under those conditions. The store has definitely deteriorated since my last visit, which is such a shame, but it certainly wasn’t a nice experience walking around, in the cold, dodging the strategically placed buckets catching the dripping water. C’mon Leekes….you are better than this!!

Early lunch had here on a busy Saturday today. Service was efficient with a great flat white. We had a fish and a pie with chips which was hot and tasty. It was clean and tidy and great for a quick bite to eat. Will be back when in the area.

It's a very pleasant place to meet up with people ,,it clean the staff are very pleasant and very helpful and polite The food is very nice, and the coffee is always hot the way I like it

Called in today with friends for lunch. Food was delicious and staff were amazing.Jill the cook went above and beyond as one of our party had allergies and the lady on the counter was helpful efficient and makes great coffee. Wouldn’t hesitate to call again and after a day of looking at kitchens and bathrooms I needed it

This is the last time I will use this cafe! Appalling behaviour by all staff at the coffee shop! Arrogant and rude! Came for a quiet coffee only for a member of staff to sit close and shout on her loud speaker on her mobile phone placing a food order! She could have easily don’t this in the kitchen or at least at the end of the cafe where no one was sitting! Mentioned it to one of the other staff and she just shrugged her shoulders and did nothing apart from start whispering to the other members of staff about me! Before that whilst having my coffee (which was absolutely cold!!) one of the other staff just came up to my table (which was dirty!!) started to push chairs around me! Absolutely no manners at all!! After moving to another table due to the constant shouting from the member of staff in the phone, the other member of staff decided to start cleaning around me on the other table!! This clearly was done on purpose!! Ended up leaving, and so did a few others who were sitting around the area! Arrogance at the best!! Your staff clearly needs re-training!! Never again will I use this cafe!! Absolutely terrible customer service!!

We had the breakfast my husband had the mezz breakfast. The ssusages were burnt and hard egg was hard bacon looked like streaky. I had poached egg on toast overcooked and looked as if they had been thrown on the toast from great height. The toast undernesth was soggy. Will not be going back there again.

Excellent coffee in a very pleasant environment. The custard slice and the gluten free biscuit were delicious. Well worth a visit.

Called in on a very very busy Saturday afternoon and staff very friendly and happy to help even with how busy it was will definitely be back

We thought we'd grab a quick lunch here as we wanted to take a look around the bathroom displays. What a mistake! I thought you couldn't go wrong with a jacket potato, unfortunately what I received was a really old sprouted potato (see picture!). I sent it back and did receive a refund (although we had to go over to the customer service desk and to the back of the long queue to do this). Won't be going back and I would avoid eating here as who knows what other old ingredients they are hiding in the kitchen.

Met some friends at the restaurant for afternoon coffee and was greeted by a great selection of cakes... something for everyone! The restaurant was clean and tidy, staff were very helpful and also mentioned about the leekes loyalty card, great free coffee for next time. How did we not know about this! We will definitely be back.

Called in with the family for spot to eat lots to choose from on menu and even though it was very busy the girls on the till where happy to help we all picked from the main meals and they came out looking lovely and tasted beautiful will be back soon thanks again

Called in to collect some things from the trade counter and decided to call to the Cafe. Swift and efficiently served by the lovely Jane. Food was tasty and plenty to choose from. Highly recommend a visit.

As ever beautiful food served by friendly and efficient staff. Always smiling always pleasant and chatty. When we were there staff were busy cleaning, which is great to see, can say the restaurant is spotless, tidy and very spacious. The outside patio area was open today, as the weather was nice, which was lovely. Enjoyed sitting outside under the big umbrella they have. It was nice and shady and cool out there. Highly recommend the food & service here. Always a pleasant experience. Thanks, see you again soon

had lunch there 2 day can say it's the worse lunch i have ever had ordered a toasted cheese and pickle couldnt find the cheese coffee came 20 min before I had my sandwich never again

I visited the restaurant in Leekes whilst I was passing. I was surprised at how nice a restaurant in a department store would be and vast the menu was. The covid restrictions in place made me feel at ease but also the atmosphere was really nice. As I sat and ate my food I saw all the staff working very hard as it was rather busy, I think it was a senior member of staff as she was in her own clothes even helping to clear tables. Will be making it one of my regular stops when I’m passing. Thank you for a nice visit.Mr Tanti

Visited Leekes yesterday with a friend. Amazing service in the restaurant, we were seated and given a table number and instructions of how to order. The tables were very well spaced out and all the staff had masks. They were all very busy but we’re so polite. There was a screen at the counter and also everything was brought to our table. Felt very safe! The coffee and sandwich were really nice and menu had plenty of choice also. Will be back soon.

Love Leekes shop here often and always use the restaurant they have a great menu for both breakfast and dinner. I like the fact they often have specials and the carvery is amazing

Stoped at Leekes for a meeting... breakfast was fabulous poached egg on toast, toasted tea cake and full Welsh we all agreed it was amazing and would return again for next months meeting

Highly recommend a visit to the restaurant for lunch, we usually have the Wednesday or Sunday carvery but decided to have the special of the day instead. Plenty of options if you fancy a light lunch though, but would recommend the lasagne if it is on the specials. Staff are always friendly too.

Great place for a coffee and make sure you try one of their delicious cakes. I will be back very soon.

Just great Great food for a reasonable cost carvery style . Staff aren't the best and look like they are at a funeral and give out the meat like they are giving away their own money but again the food is just lovely

This store has a consistantly high service over many years. I sadly had to move away from this area arpound 9 years ago for family reasons. However I wanted to mention the particular high standard of customer service I received from Mathew in 'Bedrooms'. Conducted from a distance from my new home Mathew was able to solve a problem with my wardrobe system 9 years on! We are grateful to Mathew and reccomend this store and it's staff highly. To carry that level of care for your customers living far away and for that long, puts quality customer care by Leekes in a league of their own. Thanks

Often when visiting department store food area the experience is a poor one. As visitors to the area we finished our shopping and arrived as the restaurant was closing. The staff could have rightly turned us away but instead we received a warm invitation to order food and drinks.I would like to commend the staff as a credit to this store, they have left us with positive memories of our visit.

A favourite stop over point during the week. Lovely cafe with extremely friendly staff. Reward card means free filter coffee/tea midweek daily, lovely to have that option to save some pennies. Menu is excellent, lovely variety with some great gluten free options. I’m yet to try a cake but it’s on my list one day to have one!Was delighted today to discover a small play area in the back corner of the cafe!! Limited toys but a safe space for a toddler. We usually bring a few toys anyway just in case. So once we added some of our own toys into the mix the children enjoyed playing in a safe space and we had relaxed coffee.

Lovely coffee, aroma was beautiful around here. Staff very attentive and cakes were mouth watery . I would come again.

Yet another wonderful meal at Leekes on Wednesday. We often call in for the carvery and it’s always lovely. The lemon drizzle cake is also lovely. Just one little note to management - not enough staff to cater for such a large number of diners! The staff you have are fabulous,and work very hard to ensure that diners enjoy.

I visit frequently to the restaurant and the service is second to none. Susan, Louise and Nicola are very helpful and tentative. I enjoy the curry when it is on as a special. The dinner on a Sunday is to die for. The gravy is the best bit. Always a pleasure to call here

Came for a quick visit after a cold walk tried the soup a friend had recommended. Spicy parsnip the day we came . Absolutely beautiful and half a crusty baguette to go with it . It was on a winter warmer offer which was a nice surprise .

Another great visit spent a small fortune in store and then relaxed in the restaurant with a festive roll with pigs in blankets, great value

Visited the restaurant for an organised event (breakfast with Olaf) it was well organised and the whole family were treated like vip’s. The children were spoilt with visits from Olaf, Santa, face painting and a magician. It was a great event and definitely one we will be booking next year again. Well done to all the organisers and staff.

Another business trip in to South Wales and another trip in to Leekes at Crosshands. Coffee and Sandwich all served with a smile, and the recent refit makes for a very warm and friendly atmosphere in the restaurant.

Had a fantastic time at their olaf and friends breakfast today, so much going on for the children, Olaf and Elsa were there, crafts and colouring, great face painting, a magician and a visit from santa with a gift. The food and service was excellent, a lovely quality full cooked breakfast with unlimited tea, coffee and mince pies. The cafe serves great food every day though. Highly recommend *****

Stopped at Leekes to look at the clothing sales and went into the cafe lovely setting great looking menu, had hot chocolate and cake it was lovely. Great service from Anna will 100% visit again.

Excellent cafe. Good choice of food and snacks. Nicely decorated. Especially like the new added on area outside , which is lovely for sitting out in the summer. Also appreciated is the free tea or coffee if you have a loyalty card ( which is also free ) . Friendly service and a chance to meet up with some friends.

I was in the store last weekend for the event and had a Turkey roll. Absolutely delicious, the turkey was very tender and moist, cooked perfectly, lots in the roll, it was served with stuffing and cranberry sauce or gravy, whichever you’d prefer.

We felt welcome, the food and service was great. We had real value for money using our Rewards card. The card was free and can be used everytime we visit. This makes this store just off the M4 a worthwhile stopping point.

Come here once a fortnight for breakfast after a night shift. Place is spotless, food very good and freshly cooked. Nicola who served today was very friendly and polite. A very professional service all round

Stoped in Leekes for some food to split the journey up on my way home. Sarah signed me up for a loyalty card giving me free tea and coffee you don’t often get anything free these days. Lovely meal chicken curry was on special rice chips nan bread chutney excellent value, son had fish and chips all freshly cooked. Will 100% visit again.

Met friends for coffee and we stayed for breakfast so ordered poached eggs they were perfectly cooked, would definitely recommend!

Visited Leekes for the first time in years, very impressed with restaurant. Very busy at lunchtime and I can understand why. Staff were very helpful and kind (the lovely young man on the till carried the tray to the table for the elderly lady in front of me) Food was very nice, cheese and potato pie was the best I've had. Came back later for a drink and cake after some Christmas shopping. Will definitely return.

I came into leekes to look at the xmas decorations and was suprised at how amazing their resaurant is. I choose the winter warmer parsnip soup and it was delicious. This will now be a regular stop for me. Definitely 5 stars.

I am sorry I haven’t been able to review the food as we have always enjoyed it but can only review the once again dreadfully slow service. We visited Leekes just to have Sunday lunch and left due to the massive queue and the slowness of the staff. The system is just not working and after queueing for a while and the queue not moving we decided to leave and have lunch at Cwmcerrig instead, which is slightly more expensive but highly recommended.

Had a family reunion recently and decided to have food here . Fantastic menu. All made to order even the paninis. I decided to have cod chips and peas. Beautiful fresh hand battered cod . Had a bit of a wait but as everything is made fresh to order we didn’t mind and it was busy to be fair to the staff . Will definitely recommend to others

My partner and I came to look at furniture and the smells lured us to the restaurant. We couldn’t decide for ages what to order from the menu, we wanted it all:) We eventually went for a beef roll for myself and a pulled pork for my partner which both came with chips, plenty of meat in the rolls and could tell it was freshly prepared. Will be calling again and looking forward to trying the turkey and stuffing pie which is only done as a special!

Carvery has choice of two meats and a fair selection of veg. Coffee is very variable from good to tasteless

Very nice cafe inside Leekes Department Store, myself and my mum visited last week plenty of choices of meals, staff very helful with my dietary requirements. As leekes members we also beniefit from a free coffee each time we vist the store.

Visited today for a coffee good selection of cakes i choose the jaffa cake one was nice to try somthing diffrent. Staff were helpfull even asking i wanted ice cream with my cake too. Will return to try others soon

Came in to store for a browse and was offered a card by a member of staff for free tea and coffee plus other benifits. Decided to use this yesterday and was suprised by the range and quality of food in the cafe. Will be returning soon for another free tea with my card and to try some more items from the menu.

I visited Leekes Crosshands today and must say the service and atmosphere was lovely. Staff were friendly and service was wonderful. I will definitely be returning before Christmas

Took my mum for a meal in the cafe. She is disabled and the staff were really helpful and patient. The food was lovely and there was a lot of choice. We enjoyed our meal.

I had a very nice lunch at the restaurant during their "Curry week". The portions were extremely generous and the staff were very helpful. Lastly the area was well maintained and clean despite how busy it was. Overall I was very impressed.

Visited with friends for a catch up, we were served very quickly. The wait for food was next to none and the food was great, fresh, hot and very filling. Definitely what you need on a horrible day like today.

Myself and my colleagues visit 'Yr Oriel' regularly on our breaks as we work in the community and they serve a variety of coffees, cakes and food. We have a loyalty card which means we can have a coffee for free. Variety of lunches from burger and chips and sandwiches are always delicious. They have specials on weekly which are excellent and a superb price.

Lovely little restaurant with plenty of choice.Always kept clean and tidy.Very child friendly with a fantastic children's corner,plenty of activities for the little ones.

Being as it was curry week I thought id sample what they had to offer on the day. I had the beef Rogan Josh with alllll the trimmings. The beef was melt in your mouth.It came half rice and half chips with a huge amount of extremely tasty curry. Naan bread, onion bargees and even samosa's! oh and I cant forget the chutney on the side. Id definitely recommend eating here!

Called into Leekes Crosshands on Saturday with my nephew and friend. Wanted to say a special Thank you to the kitchen staff who were extremely accommodating despite how busy it was. My nephew wanted something that was not available at the time as it was late in the afternoon (scrambled egg on toast) - Anna the Manager went ABOVE AND BEYOND and actually went to make this for him herself, resulting in a very happy 3 year old. Excellent service.

This place never gets any better.. where have they gone wrong it used to be so good..

Popped in to look at sofas for my new house , but followed the crowd to the Wednesday carvery . I had turkey and beef with all the veg , stunning gravy for under £10!! We will be back !!

Stoped at Leekes to my surprise they now have a lovely outside play area with sever pick nick tables and the restaurant do take away food to eat outside. Stoped with the grandchildren great food, kids meals and and a lovely setting in the garden centre well worth a visit.

We visited last week as we hadn't been there or a while, we regretted it. The meat was just sitting, uncovered, on the counter and the vegetables looked so overcooked, we just had a slice of sponge, which was dry and tasteless. The food looked really unappetising. The staff were just standing around talking, not attempting to serve the waiting customers. This place has certainly gone downhill. The staff need training, and shouldn't be discussing how many drinks they had the night before !!! DON'T use the toilets they are filthy and stink to high heaven. We will not be returning.

The quality of the food is very good, and at a reasonable price. Choice of beef or turkey with a great selection of veg. However, although staff are very friendly, the service is very slow at the till, which means long queues and luke warm food - which is why I’ve awarded 3 stars.

Called into cafe for quick snack whilst furniture shopping, we all had a variety of pannini's, we also ordered two buckets of chips expecting a small portion, the buckets were crammed full of chips, one bucket would have been sufficient for us. After ordering food even though it was busy we didn't have a long wait for food. Staff were pleasantly and helpful. If in area again and wanted food would definitely call in again

Food here is always fresh and freshly prepared, understandably things do run out which just goes to show how fresh everything is. I always see the same faces here which has to be a good sign surely?

I recently visited Leekes,Cross Hands with the wife and whilst she sought out what bargains to buy I sought the refuge of the cafeteria!
