Don’t go here unless you want to be ill Had takeaway week ago and felt sick next day. Just read this week that il Lee Garden has been closed down twice already by local authority and fined 20k this week for filthy hygiene standards. It’s in the paper. Now I know why I was sick!! AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH

Ordered around 5pm. Crispy duck inedible. Duck too dried out to chew, cucumber had a white slimy substance on it and was jelly like. Egg fried rice nice but barely warm. Spring rolls good.

I’ve alway never considered this restaurant due to previous reviews but heard recently that it has changed. Had a lovely meal, delivered within the hour, and must say now the best Chinese locally we have experienced. An extensive menu and good value for money. Thank you

Paid £35 for a take away, the crispy duck was ok, but the pancake roll was under cooked and raw inside, chicken chow mein, was so tastless, beef in black bean sauce, the beef had no taste and had a weird texture, and the black bean sauce so strong, all in all not a good meal, never again, food except the duck went in the bin

Food was ok but just warm but the order missed the curry sauce and veg spring rolls and took 1hr 40minutes to arrive when I was told 45min to an hour don’t answer the phone so how do I get my money back for the missing items won’t be ordering again that’s for sure

3 stars which could so easily be 5 stars! The food is always fresh and super tasty...the reason for the 3 stars? They always forget something, always allow for 2-3hours for your food to arrive and very occasionally....they forget altogether...but fact is, it’s still the best Chinese food around this area. Just wish they could get organised and more than 1 delivery driver might help...

Wrong food sent, rude woman NO APOLOGY and no replacement food sent and ofc no refund! Avoid.avoid avoid

ordered at 18 30 called at 20.00 hours to chase and complain they said we are busy and to wait for another 10 mins then hung up on me food turned up 40 mins later this take away is not worth the effort the attitude is like they are doing you a favour

Used this take away while visiting Lingfield. Excellent food, no complaints on any of the dishes ordered. Staff were friendly. Highly recommended

Called at 5pm to order Chinese as a family birthday treat, person taking call was taking my order and shouting at someone else at the same time in the back ground. Re-confirmed my order and requested a menu as first time using them. Was told delivery will take approx 45 mins, was happy to wait. Called several times after 1 hour 15 mins wait as order had not arrived and was cut off twice when calling, left a voice mail and no response. Eventually got through and was told order on way. Food arrived and it was COLD and 2 DISHES WERE MISSING, called again to advise them of this to be told never added to list whilst shouting at someone else again in the back ground. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHAT SO EVER GIVEN, would not recomend this take away to anyone, happy to pay for good food and good service but not this type of service or food that was served up. Have had to order food else where due to this spoiling birthday meal.

Always easy to order from here. We usually collect. Food is always fresh and hot. Great choice on the ,enu, recomend the aromatic pancakes or lamb... yummy !

Just had one of the best Chinese ever family run business and looking after their customers safety. Fully recommend this business the only place to go in Horley

Since it reopened with a new chef it’s very good and well worth a visit waiting time is quite long in busy periods

Whether late or early, if requested to deliver or collect....the food in here is always amazing! Best flavours and amazing portions. Definitely recommend!!!

We have not used Lee Garden for a couple of years so thought we would give them a try,we ordered on line for collect at a specific time,when we collected the food was ready and pipping hot, got home and it was top notch, good value and plenty of it, will defiantly be back there soon.

They messed the order up last time so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. However, I paid for the order tonight and when I got home it’s not all correct. Food is good but my dinner was missing. I won’t be back

What a shambles! Ordered on line, said it would take 45-60 minutes which is a long time to wait for a delivery anyway. After 75 minutes without turning up and 10 times of trying to get through by phone trying to find out where it was. Finally answered and said when driver comes back we would be 1st delivery! Another 15 minutes! After they had a row between themselves I cancelled! Left hungry and not impressed!

Waiting area dirty and like a kids classroom,with the owner doing work with her child.did not seem to want to understand a change to a set meal.Only wanted boiled rice instead of egg fried rice,but this was to much hassle .Had set meal for four and all the dishes were the same,total crap food and not worth a fiver.Won't be visiting again .Blue lake a much better option at least it tastes like chinese.unfortunately it was closed on August Bank holiday.

Great takeaway only thing could make it better if they delivered. Food is alway hot and tastes as good as it smells.

Decent Chinese takeaway. Noodles can be a bit dry so need to order extra sauce, but overall its pretty good!

Not had a takeaway for a couple of years from Lee Garden and it’s still not very good in our opinion their are much better tastier Chinese takeaways in Horley shame as we did get a free packet of prawn crackers

We ordered a takeaway in the afternoon to be delivered at 7pm, as we had a few friends over. At 6.45pm our Oder arrived, all very fresh and hot

Best Chinese takeaway and the only one I’ll use locally. Food is always hot, tasty and plenty of it. Have always found the delivery service to be prompt. Only time it wasn’t was Chinese New Year but that’s understandable as they were very busy. Can’t fault the food at all.

I love the food here I’ve never had a bad meal from there. But the last few times we have been the order has been wrong. Being a local for many years I now live 10 miles away but still drive there as I’ve not found one better, so to drive there and back to find out the whole order was wrong is very disappointing. This is not the 1st time this has happened. I shouldn’t have to check my order every time I get a takeaway. The place could so with a good paint and a decoration there is book cases overflowing with junk and the flooring is badly laid AstroTurf. Also if you like plants then this place doubles as a garden centre as there is more room for plants than seating in the waiting area with just 2 scabby chairs for customers. And the poor little girl that is always stuck sitting behind the counter when she should clearly be in bed for a bright and early start at school but she is sat there at all hours in front of a tv. With some organisation and a lick of paint this place could easily be a wonderful place but it lets it’s self down with its only fools and horses style takeaway (scabby grubby Chinese takeaway)

I just love this little takeaway, and have something from it at least once a month. I've never once had a bad meal, and I've found that they are happy to go off menu, if you want something different.

The food from Lee Garden is always excellent, if they could get their delivery timings as good as the food they would get 5stars!

Been using Lee garden for a while, last night had family over and placed a large order. Food was again excellent and all the family thought it was great value for money. Can comment on delivery as always collect.

Esta noche a las 18:pedimos 18 y me dijeron que no iba a ser de 40 minutos, la comida llegó a las 19:25. No decepcionó ya que es viernes, luego nos dimos cuenta de que la orden era incorrecta y la mitad de ella estaba fría. Llamamos y nos dijeron que podíamos haber los elementos faltantes a la hora y no pudo ser frío como estaba caliente cuando lo cocinado. Pedimos que el reembolso de los objetos perdidos, ya que no quiero esperar, le dijeron que no se podría hacer un reembolso. después de que nos dijeron lo mismo por diez minutos nos rendimos. Es una pena, ya que la comida era bastante buena, incluso después de que se ponen en el microondas.

Bien durante los últimos 4 años hemos usado el jardín lee, sólo una vez me decepcionó cuando me dijeron que la comida sería de 45 minutos y tomó 46 minutos llegar.

Have had several take away meal from here, food always hot, very tasty and good value, so far no issues with delivery.

Placed an order and was told an hour delivery time. An hour and 40 mins later received incomplete delivery, had to wait a further 30 mins for the rest of food. Discusting customer service. Rude.

Great take away. We've never had a bad meal or delivery service from here! Food is always piping hot when received and the quality is exceptional. Great to see Dim Sum on the menu x

The food is great but unfortunately is really let down by its delivery time, we ordered and were told an hour wait, after it not arriving and being told it was out for the delivery we called again, it hasn't even been cooked, it finally arrived 2 hours after ordering, no apologies.

Not had takeaway from this Chinese for awhile still just average there better takeaways close by but delivery was spot on and the chicken and sweet corn soup was tasty but that's about it so won't be getting another takeaway from here for awhile

Ordered a take away on the phone, told 40 minutes - arrived on time and order not ready. One hour later and still not ready - big bust up in the kitchen in front of customers. When asked how much longer it would be were told that the chef was not prepared to talk to the front of house member of staff?!?! Still waiting as I write this.... still no takeaway. First and last time at this dump.

Have a delivery most Fridays. Always hot and good size portions. Especially recommend the prawn rice. Really great food across the range and good size portions.

Ordered at 7.35 on Saturday evening, was told it would be 1 hour 10mins delivery, which we were ok with. 1hr 40mins, I called and was told that it would probably be another 20-30mins, and was asked if I could collect, but both my friend and I had a drink by this time. we waited another 40mins, I called again & this time was told that they had been very busy!! A little tip here, don't take so many delivery orders if you are not organised in that department. At 10.20pm our takeaway finally arrived. The food was not worth the wait and most went in the bin. Needless to say we will not be using this takeaway ever again. Definitely nicer ones in Horley.

Hands down, the best Chinese I have tried in Horley. Very generous portioning, everything cooked well, speedy service and definitely value for money.

We have had food from here many times it is very good well cooked and good size portions and last weeks was no exception.

Love this Chinese always great way to finish after few beers. Not had bad food yet. Will return again and again

What more can I say. We love the food from here and have never had bad food from here. The food is hot and freshly prepared. A mixture of the traditional British Chinese dishes together with more modern dishes.

We order from this Chinese all the time. It is extremely consistent and the delivery time is always under 30 minutes. Fantastic food always delivered hot. There is no point looking elsewhere, order from this Chinese ☺️

This was our first time using Lee Garden & after reading the reviews - we were a little nervous about the delivery time. They said it would be delivered in 40 minutes - it was with us in 30. The food was so good! Big portions and piping hot. We will definitely be using here again!!

We ordered from here a while back and the delivery time was poor, however the food was excellent.We decided to order again and this time the food was promised an hour later and it turned up about 5 minutes before it was due. Really pleased and the food was really good, hot and tasty.Really good value. I hope the delivery time is as good next time we order.

Lee Garden is easily my favourite local Chinese takeaway - in fact; it's probably my favourite from anywhere I've tried! The food is always good quality and tasty, and as a local I can pop in to collect no problem! I highly recommend ordering here, you wot be disappointed!

Just moved to Horley and this was the second take away we tried. -We since have not gone to another chinese.The service is great and the food is reasonably priced (and always arrives hot and tasty).Great selection of starters and refreshing to have a delivery service that does Dim Sum.Timings have always been within the advised scales if not sooner - before I have even got a plate in the oven!

Ordered at just gone 7pm for a delivery, was told 30 minutes, 30 minutes still nothing. Called after 45 minutes couldn't get through, tried again was told on way, 30 minutes later still no delivery! After numerous calls and the lady saying on its way it arrived at 9:45pm!! Took over 10 calls for my food to arrive over 2.5 hours late than the original 30 minutes that was told!Food was awful, and we just threw in the bin! Shocking service and food, on my final call i actually said they were shocking, the lady on the phone actually said 'I know' this is coming from the owner! Don't know how they manage to still run a takeaway service! My evening was ruined, and i ended up with a sandwich! Bad service, bad food, and shocking communication (lack of)

Ordered a meal at 7.30 for delivery, was told it would take 45 mins. At 8.30, called them again....was advised it was on its way and would be only 20 mins away. Called again at 9.00, once more told it was on its way and would be with us soon. Gave them a 9.30 deadline to deliver it by. We weren't really surprised when the food failed to arrive, so gave up and went elsewhere. The food turned up at 10.30, and was sent away as it was three hours after ordering. I'm sure the food itself is great....just the delivery operation sucks.

I've lived near this establishment for two years, after having a dreadful Chinese from another restaurant close by we always an had indian when we had a take away! Until a few months ago I though I'd try Lee Garden out as I noticed it was always busy! So glad I did. The family who own it are so lovely and being a lover of Chinese food I can honestly say it's lovely. Food is really fresh when you open it all up. Eaten here four times now and tried a variety of dishes, all delicious! My partner is not a fan of Chinese food but even he likes Lee Garden! The only time I've ever had a long wait was on New Year's Eve but I think that is to be expected on peak nights and didn't bother me!

The quality of the food at this place is substandard. The food lacked flavour. My spouse and I are vegetarians and they gave us meat spring rolls. However they delivered the spring rolls later. This place is a must avoid. If you want an oriental meal from this area try the Mali Thai Restaurant 16, Victoria Road, Horley RH6 7AR, England. At least you get a meal you enjoy.

Really disappointing. After waiting over an hour and a half for delivery, the lady answering the phone just said, 'on way, its on the way. bye bye, bye bye' and hung up on us! We have been ordering regularly but recently moved to Fortune Garden, which is unfortunately closed tonight. We will be staying with their rival! Disgusting! When the food did finally arrive it was very greasy.

This is my favourite Chinese by far. Portions are massive and value for money is great. Always hot and tasty. Everything you need in a good Chinese takeaway.

I've ordered takeaways from this place for 5 years the last 7 takeways I've had to chase.. Over 1hr 45 mins on one order.They are always late since changing hand the only reason I order is that they r 5 mins up the road I've now decided to pick up every order cos they are incapable of getting here on time!! Joke

Great food as always even tho the place seems to change hands very oftern! The food with the new owners is great as always and good sized portions but it's slightly more expensive than before.

Not to be recommended unless your overriding priority is price. I ordered King prawns in batter and special fried rice and it was almost inedible. The rice was way oversalted (how can you get this wrong?) and the prawns were tiny but coated with a very thick layer of batter. i paid under £10but would rather have paid more and got a reasonable meal.Fast service, but is that really important?

This little gem of Chinese take-away is well worth a phone call or visit to pick up your Chinese food. The food is always top notch (we've been ordering from them for about 2 years now!) and the delivery is usually rather quick. It can be busy on Saturday evenings, but well worth the wait for the food. The portions are always generous and the price is very competitive.
