Lean To Coffee in Highland

So simple..a decorated container on a beautiful spot. Good coffee, lovely staff and delicious cakes and cookies. With a smile and cortado on our way back again.

Adorable little place with parking . Very friendly owners. We arrived not long before they were due to close. This wasn't a problem. We ordered a toastie each and two hot drinks. All were really good. We loved the concept.. Very rustic and very open air (there is a roof over one seating area). Yes it's cold on a chilly day.. And it was damp and cold when we visited. However there are IR heaters which kept us warm enough as were right underneath one. There is no toilet, there are no doors or windows, it has a small menu, all genuinely homemade . If that's not for you there are plenty of other places where you can have the other comforts, but you will miss a treat. We'd definitely recommend it.

If you’re looking for a place to have breakfast nearby, you must come here! The cappuccinos are amazing & the pastries taste very good. It does take away, but you can also sit in this old building which is such a unique & lovely setting. It is an open ambience, but there are heating lamps, so you won’t be cold. Staff is kind. The only downside is that there are no bathrooms, but we didn’t really need them, so it was fine.

Unusual location, but we really enjoyed our stay. The baristas have been kind to us and served us very fast. The cappuccinos were good and even the latte art surprised us positively. We definitely recommend eating their muffins!

Un posto bellissimo dove vale, assolutamente la pena, fermarsi. La metterei cone tappa obbligata nel tour dell'isola di Skye. Qui ho mangiato il miglior muffin della mia vita!!! Assolutamente fantastica anche la location ed il personale del coffee bar.

Had to come all the way north to Skye for this Aussie-style coffee experience!Great team, friendly service and genuine top quality coffee and cakes. Cool outside seating area. Totally worth crossing the bridge for.

Great spot for a coffee and cake ,staff very friendly and helpful. Recommended… but note no toilets ! They do take away as well.

Top quality and quirky place...stopped for coffee on our motorbike ride around skye. Service was good...all staff pleasant...coffee...tea and hot chocolate all excellent...highly recomended five star.

This is the best coffee on Skye without doubt. We’ve been coming since they opened and it’s as good as ever. Birch in Portree is a close second!

The guys are so friendly and the the atmosphere they have created is fantastic, that couple with the rustic vibe they have going on this place is a must when visiting the island 💙

Went back there for a second time. Love their bakery items, delicious toasties and drinks. They are so lovely, made sure everyone on our family is good. We all well looked after. Thank you. Will be back when we visit Skye again. I normally visit in every season.

The power of social media led us to Lean To Coffee on our first and recent trip to Skye. Honestly the best coffee we’ve tasted in a long time. And the cakes and bakes are an added bonus. My fave was the banana bread, hubby loved the pear and honey cake. A must visit if your visiting Skye.

What a gem and a “must do” on your visit to Isle of Skye! Quaint rustic place and an experience to have a fantastic professionally Barista made coffee and absolutely delicious cake/cookie. Highly recommend the cinnamon and cardamom bun. Lovely people who deserve to do well. We will be visiting again before we leave.

Brilliant coffee and cake stop off just over Skye bridge. Unique setting lovely couple serving and just a great vibe …. Even in dreadful weather was still busy with customers. Well done.

Nous sommes de gros mangeurs et on préfère les petits déjeuners plus copieux, surtout au vu du prix affiché et avant une journée de randonnée ou d'activités sur l'île de Skye. Absolument rien à dire sur la qualité en revanche, les toasts et les pâtisseries sont vraiment savoureuses. Le rapport qualité-prix est bon mais la quantité pourrait être un peu plus généreuse. À tester !

Ozzie couple have nailed this funky coffee experience! After weeks enduring UK ho hum coffee this place is a serious oasis for coffee lovers!!! And wow, what a location! You must stop here!

Het lijkt een beetje raar, een plek langs de weg naar de brug van Skye. Maar wat ontzettend leuk gemaakt, met oude delen van een gebouw en een container. Het geeft een beetje een hippie-strandgevoel. En een prachtig uitzicht met heerlijke koffie!

A must stop of you way onto or off of Skye. Amazing coffee and genuinely the best toastie I have ever had (had the Barefooter). Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and such a great location with both sheltered and open seating. Would recommend as a must visit when on syke!

This cafe is worth a break on your tour on Skye. Very nice location with friendly staff and very good food . Probably not on rainy days. Would we go again? Yes

A great find, a little quirky gem. Worth a visit. We had a really tasty mushroom toastie but were a little disappoint by the focaccia, which was very thin and flat.

This place is such a wonderful gem - and the perfect stop on your way out of (or onto) Isle of Skye. Just off the main highway! We each ordered the toastie with venison salami....insanely delicious. I believe it came with Scottish cheddar + pickled...

Fantastic wee stop off…… very quirky Had the barefoot toastie was delicious, vegan & unusual. Great selection of hot & cold drinks & bakes. Staff super friendly, would recommend. We will definitely stop off again

I visited Lean to Coffee for an early morning coffee. The cappuccino was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. I will certainly revisit Lean to Coffee next time I'm in the Isle of Skye.

This is such a wonderful place to stop for coffee. Its just on the side of the road when you’re driving into Skye so no detour required, with a really quirky outdoor seating area. We got flat whites (which were spot on) and a freshly...

Fabulous spot and great coffee in thoughtfully adapted old house, transformed into modern nooks with great views. Range of baking to go with coffee, great service and very popular with locals. A goat watched as I sipped an oat milk latte and the kids played...

Stumbled on this cafe on our trip to Skye. The cafe is in a derelict building, but don't let this put anyone off. There is a roof on! Coffee was excellent and muffins were delicious. Well worth stopping at.

You find this great wee coffee shop just as you enter the 40mph zone travelling from the Skye Bridge towards Broadford. They have converted an old stone cottage into a sheltered outside coffee shop with everthing prepared onsite in beautifully designed kitchen. We had tasty...

Went here today with a friend. Really lovely vegan sandwich (onion jam, mushroom, spinach and aoili) and a greta cuppa. Friendly staff an dinteresting outside seating (which I loved). Give it a go!
