We travelled from Norfolk to eat at this amazing restaurant. Food is always lovely and the staff very welcoming We came for the Sunday Buffet and as usual it was freshly made and very tasty

We've been eating reguarly in here for over 16 years and even though we now live 1 hour away, still drive down to eat at the best Indian Restaurant we've ever visited. Highly reccomend the Tuesday Night Banquet to anybody who enjoys the finest Indian Cuisine around. Great service too. 10 out of 10 from me.

Simply the best Indian restaurant in Waltham Abbey. We always use this restaurant for takeaways. No artificial colourings used, the food is delicious. Good prices too. Lovely smiley, friendly staff.

Put simply, consistently the best curry's I've ever had IMO. I travel all over the country with my work so I eat at a lot of places some have come close Cinnamon in Liverpool for example but Le spice is still better.

Love the Sunday buffet! Could eat just the starters, but everything is really tasty, one of my favourites is the vegetarian curry and also the lamb dish is so tender. Staff know us and always laugh at my husband's jokes even they're not that funny.

Went to Le Spice for the Sunday buffet for my birthday. The staff were very friendly and looked after us. The food was also delicious with plenty of choice and topped regularly. My fiancee loved the Chana. Thanks to everyone at Le Spice for a great meal and see you again soon!

Usually get a takeaway from here but this evening decided to eat in. The food is exceptional and the staff are so friendly as well. Definitely a place to visit. Portions are great so be prepared to take some home. See you soon Le Spice.

Food wasn't great, and not very spicy despite the name.

The food is tasteless, the service is worse.. and after it being recommended.. Top tip don’t go and buy a ready meal👌 without doubt it is worse curry I think I’ve ever had to eat👊

Had a lovely evening meal here and we wasn't disappointed. Upon arrival we was meeted and greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our seats. We were promptly served with poppadoms and drinks and didn't have to wait too long for the mains. Very friendly atmosphere with light banter from the waiters. Food was amazing and large portions too. Will definitely be visiting again soon

I honestly cannot fault this restaurant. The food is excellent, the staff are lovely and what I like about it is that the waiting staff leave you alone to get on with your meal rather than keep coming over checking on you and asking if everything is okay, they only really come over to the table if you signal to them. Great place to enjoy an evening and they deliver too.

I love the food here! The music is lovely, definitely come check this place out i highly recommend the Chicken Tikka & the Chicken Shazmin! & the Naga Bhuna! Delicious!

We didn’t eat all day as we knew it was going to be bad. Sometimes when you are hungry anything will do. It was a location of convenience for other family members. When washing my hands on arrival the ladies toilet is horrid. For such a small W.C what would it cost to refurbish? I couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Now to my title comment. £16 for poppadoms/papad and chutneys? Come on! How greedy. All the veg curries were bland. Rice was flattened down with an iron. Nans average. Nothing like curry. Then at the end of the meal to be asked if I would like a drink and for it not to be given? Why ask? Very disingenuous. He knew what he was doing. I also don’t like the way they did the bill. I wouldn’t go back if they offered me a free meal.

We hadn’t been out for a meal since lockdown but we were so glad we chose to eat here on Saturday. The restaurant looked nice and very clean. The staff were lovely. Really made us feel welcome and the man who served us was very funny. We didn’t have to wait too long for the food and it was delicious! We all said how nice it was. There was so much I took a doggy bag home! Ha. To top the night off, we were offered a complimentary drink of our choice. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and I highly recommend the restaurant.

Slightly hidden away on the first floor of a building off Sun Street and Arlington Mews, you could easily miss this place. My first time here and had a great evening. Great food, friendly staff, good value; I'll definitely be returning.

I wonder whether the people of Waltham Abbey know what they have here. This is high quality food. Post lockdown we wanted to stay at a hotel and feel some sense of freedom. We wandered into Le Spice and oh-my-word, this is not your standard Indian. This is high quality food, beautifully presented.

Went in at 9:15, was told we need to leave by 10pm which is fine under the circumstances of Covid, sat and asked for some drinks to start us off, while we look at the menu, and was thrown out by the owner, because he said he didn’t like my attitude, I never had an attitude and I was wearing my mask, I apologise if he took offence and he just flatly refused service. I have never in my life been treated this way by anyone before, will never spend my hard earned money in this place again, he didn’t recognise me due to my face mask, and just goes to show how they value business. Total disrespect, and a clear case of little man syndrome

If I could give 0 stars I would, owner has a dreadful attitude and treated my staff with utter disrespect, I will never send my staff if my clients there again, food is well below par, service is diabolical, and attitudes are just plain wrong, I will be putting this place on my black list for clients and staff, avoid at all costs, please go to Ting Tong Thai instead, they are very welcoming and by far better food quality, wish I had found this place years ago

This restaurant is located in a refurbished upstairs flat. It’s unclear that you have to walk into the ally to get upstairs. There is parking behind the shops and also a car park. We certainly was not socially distanced between tables and we felt quiet uncomfortable here. Although, they did have hand sanitiser on site and were completing track and trace forms. Indian is one of our favourite take always but the starters of onion barjji and meat samosas here were my least favourite. They were small and didn’t taste right. The cucumber wasn’t fresh and was more bending than crunchy. The mains were very nice and I got 5 bits of chicken with my main which were nicely cooked. The waiter accidentally put his finger in my drink when giving us our starters and kindly brought me a new glass refilled with water. I’ve seen in some restaurants they bring you back an empty glass which really annoys me. I think there’s better Indians around but this was the only one we could get a table at last minute so not sure if we would visit again.

Afraid - This is another example of a restaurant whose cuisine is NOT proper Indian. This is BANGLADESHI Food. For people who think its the same subcontinent and same food - WRONG WRONG WRONG. There is a VAST difference. Our fare for the evening 1)...

Everything is mediocre really. The chicken is quite dry. They can arrange special events. Access is via a narrow staircase and it overlooks Sun Street Library/Museum. Convenient location and average prices. Also cater for birthdays which are common here.

Pretty decent on the banquet night which is Tuesday. 11.95 for a naan, a starter, a rice, a main curry, a side and a drink. So great value for money. Place is clean and light and airy compared to other indian cuisine establishments in the Abbey and the house red is palatable. The Lamb Tikka Vindaloo is pokey and of a good sized portion and the mushroom pilau is light and fluffy. However the sag paneer is all cream and cheese and not enough spinach with a strangely sweet and coconuty taste. Staff and service was both polite and prompt and the food was above average. Just a couple of tweaks and this could become the Abbey regular.

My husband, myself and our one year old son went there first time two weeks ago and I have to say that we eat out pretty often for years and rarely find a restaurant that ticks all the boxes. The food was amazing, it looked great and the portions were huge. I even came home regretting not having ordered more to takeaway and dreaming for days after about their nan bread. But also the staff was amazing, the service was great and they were also amazing with our son who was not on his best behavior that evening, we kept apologizing and they were very understanding and even played a bit with him which is something that really touched our heart. Needless to say that we will be back. We definitely found our new favorite local restaurant.

Me and few of my friends wanted to have Indian so a friend recommended Le Spice at Waltham Abbey. There was about 15 of us who went there. The service we received was exceptional and on point the food was delicious and tasty. We had a lovely night out just the boys and the staff members looked after us proper. Excellent place to go dine in will defo go back again and will recommend to everyone.
