I had to ask for my order, the toasts were brought to me, I had to ask for the rest, the scones were finally brought.....while other customers who arrived well after me were finishing their meals!! ! The tea ordered only arrived after asking for the bill and pointing out that I didn't get it....bad experience, spending my time Le Bras en l'air to question the waiters, all for reasons avocados on toast, nothing too complicated.

Overall, very average. The staff made it better when I visited.

I stumbled onto this place as a happy accident. What a wonderful experience. There was no line, I was seated right away. The waiters/waitresses were all so friendly and clearly knew many of the customers. As a person who was eating alone, they made me feel comfortable and happy to just enjoy the ambiance. Not to mention the inside of the place was absolutely beautiful. I loved that the doors were wide open too. There is nothing that could make this place better. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Sat down. Wasn't told that kitchen was closing in 15 mins, nor was my sister who arrived earlier and she was given menus. Upon eventually flagging the maitre D she said ' There is no food'. Just exceptional. Isn't it unusual to shut a kitchen in the middle of the day whilst still handing out menus? Maybe my mistake. Man at front of house apologised. Won't be coming again. Go to South Ken one instead - impeccable service every time.

Had lunch here today. Very good service. Food was excellent. Tasty and filling. I had the special - Lamb Tajine. Yummy.

Awful service staff. Anna/hanna particularly abominable. Above odds prices for average food and awful service. Manager in blue sweater indifferent. Your money better spent elsewhere. --- UPDATE: their non-reply reply tells you what a disinterested corporate nothing this place is. Again, spend your money elsewhere.

We have been there for our breakfast each morning of our stay in London, as from.the first day we found good things to eat but mainly a great service as Ana served us very professionally, always smiling and beeing very kind.

I love the store in Canary Wharf, so when I came across this one I decided to go in for breakfast. Staff was mean and “very french”, the food, especially the pastries were dry and crusty, the place was super noisy and in spite of having a FULL ground floor, the second floor was closed off. I literally had to share a table with someone I didn’t know. They asked if they could sit and I felt terrible for saying no, so I had breakfast with a stranger. In the next table, there were 4 adults with 4 small children crying and throwing tantrums. Absolute nightmare. If only the food was worth it… but it was really not. If anything it was overpriced. Cannot recommend.

Worst Costomer service ever . We came for breakfast, we stood in line for 15 mins by the sign to be seated and no one came . Once we asked what’s going on, instead of saying sorry we are busy or something like that, a guy came from behind the counter and said while raising his voice rudely “if you don’t want to wait you can leave !“

We came in to get some brunch in hopes of having enough food for the day. We got the pain perdu as well as the scrambelled eggs with salmon and some smashed avocado. None of the hot food was hot nor was it seasoned, even the smashed avocado, for its price, was not even above average, no salt and pepper for the least. The salmon was not of good quality either and the bread that accompanied the eggs was un toasted but surprisingly was the best part! Now for the pain perdu, the strawberries and bananas were hard meaning they weren’t fresh fruits as promised by the menu. The pain perdu was dry in taste and felt more of a brioche rather than an egg fried bread (definition of pain perdu) and the yogurt that was on top was more of a downgrade than a help for more moisture as it was acid. For the drinks we got a concentrated bad whisked matcha latte and a shot of apple and banana and some raspberry smoothie instead of a matcha latte and raspberry apple and banana smoothie. Overall we payed £41 for a total of £17 in tesco’s for food we could’ve EASILY made at home and better. On top of it all, the service quality was not up to the standards reflected by the bill as the server messed up our order and brought back the right one cold.

Went there a few months ago. I was waiting such a long for order even though there were only two customers and the girl barista service was a nightmare.

I came today and i was so pleased with the service, galia really took care of us and explained the menu for us! We are a French family and this restaurant was our best experience in london during our holiday. Excellent place for brunch

Dreadful service. Aggressively turned away when they had lots of tables but couldn’t deal with orders. Counted 6 staff yet turning lots of people away. This is not the first time it happened

I've always loved Le Pain Quotidian. My local and more regularly visited one is off Marlyebone High Street. But I recently visited this one with a friend and enjoyed a buttery delicious and warm scone with clotted cream and jam, and a matcha latte. Delicious! I also like how much seating there is here.

Below average food for the price

Super slow service! There were so many staff members walking around the tables but the food arrived very slowly! I ordered a lamb tagine with couscous and a hot croissant with ham and cheese for my 4 years old son. I had to remind about myself few times until they finally brought the croissant and my lamb. The lamb was luke warm and couscous was cold if if it was just out of the fridge. Then I realised that my son was finishing his croissant with cold cheese and cold ham!! The manager brought a pack of little muffins while we waited for food as a good gesture. It was nice but did not help me to change my mind about the place! What I wanted is to leave with no argument and never come back! Never!

Prices are meh, but the wait staff is amazing! Very patient people.

Super bad service. We arrive at almost closing time apparently and instead of let us know they let us order, had us waiting for so long and when they served us they told us they closed in 5 min. Also they wanted to charge us double coffes.

I used to love Le Pain Quotidien but what has happened to it? I went to Notting Hill branch fir breakfast with a friend instead of French style scrambled eggs I got flabby, rubbery and cold scrambled in the frying pan eggs and toast that was not toast but warm bread. When I asked for the bread to be toasted, it came back more or less the same, Staff were sullen, the manageress unhelpful. Not going there again.

Sadly our experience did not mirror some of the more positive reviews shared recently. We went for brunch on Sunday (two people). The tables are all rather crammed in so we sat at the large central table. Whilst a nice idea, it really is too wide to be able to have a decent conversation when sat opposite. The food arrived before the drinks. The juice was the best part of the meal, hence 3* vs 2*. One meal was the avo on toast with extra poached eggs. The toast was very thin and extremely hard. The avo was too cold - probbaly straight out of the fridge (vs room temp) and under seasoned. The poached eggs were very disappointing; pre cooked and barely heated up with one soft yolked and the other hard and rubbery. The second meal was scrambled eggs on toast - same situ with the toast (hard and brittle). Eggs v anaemic and rubbery consistency. Service was average at best. Perhaps we were outliers, however with so much competition in this area, we will not be returning.

Nettes Cafe/Restaurant mit gutem Kaffee und leckerem Frühstück. Der Service war bei meinen Besuchen immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Man bekommt auch als einzel Person einen guten Tisch und guten Service ( leider in London nach meiner Erfahrung nicht immer der Fall) gerne wieder

I love the food at LPQ, especially the autumn season, so I can't wait to go back. Bread here is always amazing and it's a nice spot to enjoy a nourishing and delicious food and spend some time here. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

I ordered the French toast, was incredibly dry and disappointing, would not recommend. Otherwise they had fresh juice which tasted good and everything was reasonably priced.

Normally comes here for brunch. staff is really helpful and polite. Great food and well maintained service. Definitely to go place.

MATT IS EXCELLENT!!! LOVE THE NOTTING HILL BRANCH, Epic Location... ...staff are all excellent, except the new manager is “off” - you have to be kind, courteous and polite to customers, this new guy is truly the opposite, I wish him well, however I unfortunately won’t be returning anytime soon. I trust the staff remain happy. They are truly wonderful.

Great breakfast with vegan options

Beautiful environment just next to Notting hill gate station. Been here a couple times and every time I get the best service and coffee. Not to mention their beautiful food and pastries selection. Will definitely keep coming!

Das Frühstück sowie die selbstgemachte Limonade war wirklich sehr lecker. Leider hat uns der Kellner die Teller direkt nach dem letzten Bissen weggenommen. Wir hatten noch volle Münder. Das gehört sich meiner Meinung nach nicht. Man kann auch ein paar Minuten warten, bis der Gast aufgegessen hat.

so today i went in for a coffee but upon looking at the menu, i decided to get the mini breakfast as well. the food was beautiful, the coffee was amazing and the service was really good as well, Isabel is an amazing waitress, so helpful with what to recommend me, and so kind as well. i do recommend going here, and if you get isabel as your waitress, leave her a tip

Loved the brunch deal where I got eggs and toast, a croissant of choice, juice of choice and hot drink of choice for about £13!! Great atmosphere and service too.

This place was recommended by a friend. Overall the place was nice. Seating was a bit unorganized. As for the food: eggs were good but the French toast was below average. Try coffee was just terrible. Ordered a flat white which was no where close to a flat white

The eggs were hard and cold, the drinks were watery and tasteless. The baguette on the other hand was great but you only get one slice with a normal breakfast/brunch. The waiters are quite nice. The taste of the food is good, but not great, wich makes me wonder how the prices are so high.

Been going to the Notting Hill Gate branch fairly regularly for the past year. Food is usually good, and coffee is excellent, but service is astonishingly variable. Young (Scandinavian, German, Polish?) man, for example, is excellent: efficient, friendly, professional. Some of the other staff don't seem to be up to the job. The waiter today hadn't taken my order 15 minutes after seating me. When I asked why not, she said, with no apology, that they were busy. When I came in, I was the fourth cover I could see in the front room. Maybe the back room was packed... Assuming she's new to the job, why wasn't someone checking she was coping - serving customers in order, for example? I've checked a spend of £10-20 below because that's my usual bill, but I had to leave without eating today because I couldn't waste any more time.

Coming in on Sunday afternoon and being told the kitchen is closed is annoying, but ok. But being told after we order that the bathroom has been closed without any announcement really is unacceptable for a place like LPQ

I was going to sit in but seeing how busy it was and how dirty some of the tables were, I decided to get the cranberry and oat cookie as a takeaway instead. It was nice, a much needed treat but service was slow. Staff were pleasant but I had to stand there waiting a good few minutes before getting served. They did see me but chose to do other tasks!

Our breakfast was disappointing. The service was correct but the food was nothing special. Especially the baked eggs that were overcooked, watery and tasteless. The rest was average food for a less expensive chain.

The food here is good but the service should be better. We waited 50 minutes for a boiled egg brunch and a croque monsieur because, we were later told, an oven had broken down. We were in a rush and would have been happy to choose another dish.

Tasteless salads would definitely not order the niçoise and Caesar salads. Water glasses were not very clean either. Love the brand as a whole and have gone to branches in Belgium and France but this branch ruins the brand name as a total.

Il n'y a que du yaourt dans le granola, les fruits = juste 2 fraises, portion très faible, croque monsieur passable... Serveur froid, je ne recommande pas vu l'ambiance.

Rude staff - can't cope with pressure or running a full house. They just take all their frustration and attitude out on customers. After two hours having breakfast and multiple coffees, I asked to move a table with an electricity socket - they responded with 'we're a restaurant and priorities those eating'.

And this is one of my favourite go to restaurants in Notting Hill Gate, they do an amazing Macha latte and decent breakfast. But the past three times. I’ve had a badly broken black pepper shaker, to the point where the entire bottle of pepper dumped out on my plate. The waitress took it and put the bottle on another table and didn’t remove the broken one. Horrible service. This same waitress was obviously annoyed when I asked for an extra plate, she left it on the very edge of the table about to fall off, it appeared to be a huge inconvenience for her to put it properly on the table. The food has remained good but the portions seem to be less. I will carry on coming here, but I’m hoping to see some improvement in the weeks / months to come.

We visited Le Pain per usual for our Brunch Sunday, arrived pretty reasonable time, whilst upstairs was pretty empty they were rather queue up people on the entrance,…We were seated and ordered brunch with Bacon and Avocado after 20 minutes wait the waitress informed us that they ran out avocado 🥑 !!! We were not bothered said ok cool, food arrived after 30 minutes we ordered. Surprisingly 10 minutes later table near us who arrived after us got their breakfast and guess what?! Surprise Surprise everyone were getting their breakfast and we could see avocado 🥑 in most plates flying around! Unbelievable service and surely we WONT come back ever again! Disappointed.

We wanted a snack and ordered cappuccinos, almond croissant and a fruit and nut flute. Unfortunately, the cappuccinos came first and so were cool before the other things arrived. My flute was extremely hard, but I was told it was supposed to be like that. Disabled toilet not nice!

It is a shame to witness racism in a place that I have visited for many years and the staff has always been amazing except today. I witnessed a young couple being treated rudely and badly for no obvious reason other than wearing a headscarf. A staff member with curly red hair was incredibly rude and intimidating towards the couple which forced the couple to pay and leave. Even when she gave them the bill she threw it on the table. I witnessed all of this sitting nearby. It is sickening and upsetting. There also seemed to be a bald short man approving of her behaviour, which I assume is the manager. It is a shame to see this behaviour coming also from the management. A great place spoiled for now

Very disappointed by the quality of one of the dishes served: overpriced and a tiny portion, and different to that advertised on the website. While Le Pain Quotidien does offer some nice dishes, it is expensive compared with similar outlets.

The coffees were decent but the cakes not so great. We ordered a strawberry tart and the strawberries looked like they had been frozen, defrosted and left to sit for a while, they tasted somewhat alcoholic so not something that should be served!

Bad customer experience. Rude behaviour from the guy who looked like a manager as he was dressed differently , not generous at all.when entered we were not welcomed well. We entered the shop and they asked to wait for 20 mins in a very rude way as if they don't care if we sit or not. We felt bad and while leaving said you lost a customer and they replied it's fine.this shows they are not having quality of customer obsession and they just want selected people in the cafe. Le pain quotidien can do better while hiring people like this because it spoils brand name because of one single person. Not recommend at all.

The Notting Hill branch is as usual - tasty and hearty meal (saffron chicken in a pot), good smiley service, comfortable atmosphere. Thank you.

3 of us ordered the chocolate and caramel cake and when it arrived it was small, dry and stale. It cost £6.50 each plus service I ended up playing £7.50 for possibly the worst cake I have had in a cafe. They didn’t even bother to warm it up or attempt to present it nicely. Our other friend got the brownie and left half of it as it was also dry and tasteless. Shocking price, terrible quality, we will never be back.

Updated - 2 stars: Wow what a difference 2/3 years makes, the drinks are fine. The food isn’t good anymore. The “restaurant” bread is pretty poor quality (never get the bakers basket) and for a place with bread in its name is even worse. It’s cheap bread don’t order bread at the restaurant. The food was overcooked or must have been sat under a lamp for 10 mins my scrambled egg was dry and may as-well been an omelette. You’d get better and fresher food from Wetherspoons. Original Review - 5 stars. Very fast service, very pleasant staff. Food was delicious, it was expensive-ish but what do you expect being so close to Notting Hill gate? It's spans over 2 floors and you must be seated by the waiters as it is table service only. I would go again.

Good wifi to work from here. There’s a calm space at the back with less noise. Food was ok, but could be better for the price you pay.

The atmosphere is like any other LPQ restaurant. The food was okay, although the waffle with mushrooms had a big portion, it felt like it didn’t really work. The minestrone soup was also okay. The sandwich was a bit slow but tasted good. Overall, this is a good resting place with okay food.

I came for brunch yesterday with my family and it was absolutely amazing, ghalya served us she was very friendly and very helpful and she explained everything on the menu, we had a great time everything was delicious we will be back for sure

We were looking for a good lunch spot while visiting Notting Hill and came across this place and we're exited to try it as it had a lot of vegan+gluten free options which are hard to find elsewhere. Two of the dishes we chose were not as described in the menu. The sandwich was missing 3 ingredients - vegan cheese, vegan mayo and tempeh was supposed to be "marinated" but it was absolutely tasteless. The other sandwich was lacking truffle oil and cheese. I don't know what happened in the kitchen! Fairly disappointing expensive experience. Coffe and chai latte was lovely tho.

Went today, ordered a juice and a tartine sandwich. Juice came and 40mins later asked about the sandwich…order was never taken…paid for the juice and left.
