I want to share a non-food-related review about the staff. While I was having lunch outdoors at IKKYU, a worker from Fez Mangal came out and sat beside me to smoke a cigarette (I don't smoke, by the way). I found it inconsiderate for the worker to sit in front of a neighboring business to smoke.

We ate at the restaurant this evening. Excellent welcome and we had two different dishes A kebab Mèze and one with yogurt Very good and good portions. An address to recommend

Can I say it's the best place I've eaten in London? Exquisite food and excellent service. In the end, since it was our first time with Turkish cuisine, they let us try the Baklava. Everything special! Highly recommended.

I came here on a Sunday night for the first time ever, waited in the shop for ages as the staff were busy talking to each other and not focused on taking orders. I ordered a lamb doner - which was the only thing I had eaten that day, to a few hours later puking up non stop and having food poisoning, putting me out of work for the rest of the week

The service is amazing, the food is amazing, there is no need to explain it and I also recommend their wings.

The worst food ever. The meat and their Adana kebabs is full of fat and chewy. This is not authentic Turkish food, It taste awful. They need to improve the quality of their meet , Chechen was good.

Best Turkish in west London. Very authentic, fresh, flavorable food. I highly recommend this place for a great lunch or dinner. I’ve been here several times and never disappointed.

Nice place to have a great dinner but unfortunately the food gets worse every time i visit there. It was amazing at the beggining but now it’s just overpriced

( I would give zero if I can) Unwelcoming environment. Extremely rude and aggressive staff. No respect for families and children. The food is oily average and no authentic Turkish taste. Only one dirty toilet with no toilet paper for the whole restaurant (and about 10 members of staff )which serve many tables and seats . For the price they charge , you would expect good , warm and friendly place but instead I find it well below the expected standard. My main concern is staff attitude, manner, rudeness and aggression toward customers when specially when making a request for service or even asking for toilet roll. For example we make order for small pieces lamb skew and they deliberately ignore our request and instead they make large pieces and when I question it the staff get rude and aggressive and try to intimidate and force us to accept what they serve us. One of their thug and mad chef was telling to come back after closing time for a fight simply because I verbally questioned and challenged his behavior and aggression in front of full restaurant with many children around . I have been coming to this restaurant for a long while but notice the food and service going down hill. Very disappointing. Don’t be fool by the good reviews I have made a complaint and the manager apologized but attitude still the same . I will not return to this place again

As a Turk, I must say I've never had a worse İskender in my life. Normally, I never leave anything on my plate, but this time, I couldn't even manage a second bite—it was that bad. It was utterly disappointing !! and bore no resemblance to the authentic İskender. I will never return to this place.

Favourite place in London for Turkish food. Amazing friendly staff and always huge portions. I'm very fussy but this place has become a regular visit. Credit to staff and management for consistant experience and hospitality.

Food was ok. Service not good at all.we had to ask for things. Only one toilet.

We had the special mixed kebab for 2.tap water and one glass of wine. Came with salad. We asked for feta chesse on salad. Never put on.we had to ask for bread.food was ok.server sorry to say could not understand us .didnt ask if everything was ok. Only one toilet . We asked for mayonise they said never had.the servers looked fed up.not good . Wouldnt go back .

I was pretty happy with the place(eating there once a week) till today. Namely, I am going there because of freshly made bread. This time one staff member lied to me saying "the bread is just made". Actually it was from yesterday(tastes like that) I found out after checking with other person there.I also checked the oven, which was turned off, and the baker told me that they didn't make bread today (they will). I was with kids. And that person who lied to me was making up reasons that it's really bread from today but it seems different because maybe someone else made it blah blah ...1000 reasons... very unprofessional....

A beautiful place. The decoration is stunning and a great dining experience. The staff were lovely, food was delicious too.

Long time fan of the local favourite Fez, should’ve written this review a long while back but I guess you can take it for granted when on your doorstep. Pretty much tried everything and consistently to a good standard. Go hungry and don’t plan too much afterwards;)

This is what Türkiye must taste like! If we lived in west London, this would probably be “our” shop. My daughter and I are always a bit picky when it comes to restaurants, but we both give this one a thumbs up. The food tastes fantastic, is always freshly prepared and served quickly - even when the shop is full. There are professionals at work here, whether in the kitchen or in service. We love! And once you start talking to the staff, you'll find super warm people in front of you and no waiter robots, as is unfortunately all too often the case. Fez Mangal is already planned for our next visit to London.

This is a Turkish restaurant located in Notting Hill area in West London. We dropped by when we arrived this area to visit places filmed in the movie of Notting Hill which was really meaningful to us. Place was cozy and staff was kind with recommendations on the menu and portion. Kebab was ,needless to say, really good and lamb was also very nice along with Turkish salad. (Kebab in London has been almost always good as has been the case in Germany as well)

Best Turkish restaurant in London. It’s a great place with fantastic food and great staff. Always friendly. I would recommend the hummus and the Baba ghanoush. The bread is always amazing. The chicken and the lamb would be my go to order. Great for family’s as well.

OMG, so, so good. Everything is delicious. We've been here twice for dinner, and both times I got too excited about the main dish to take photos. The chefs are amazing - you can watch your meal being created. The wait staff are impeccable. Prices are beyond reasonable. We take home enough food for a second meal. Such a treat.

I got chicken shish as take away and they literally gave 5 pieces of chicken shish for 10pounds which is really disappointing. You can see how small the pieces are in the picture.

We went for finder and we order a chicken Shiah and it was perfectly grilled nice flavour and texture. Highly recommend it

Dissapointing...The staff were rude laughing at my requests no pleases or thank you. When we left 2 members of staff on the door we said thank you...no response. Service was not good. Food was disappointing very dry chicken. One toilet for all customers very dirty, obviously had not been cleaned for a very long time. Used to go here always used to be good. Now very poor.

The mixed lamb Yogurtlu was amazing! Full of flavor and cooked to perfection, with a nice smoky aroma to pair with. Recommend the food here for sure

[I would give zero stars, but this is not an option]. Awful food and terrible service. Ordered falafel and a yogurt drink called Ayran. The falafel was impossible to cut; as hard as stone. My BF commented that trying to cu the falafel was like trying to cut a 2-pound coin! - Lol. The yogurt drink was warm and lacking in flavour. Despite the awful food, I decided to pay the bill in full. The waitress sarcastically commented that "even though we had complained about the food we were still paying".......I would have expected a professional establishment to offer to waive the bill, or at least offer something complementary - (shoulder shrug). I advised that even though I complained, I paid because I had been well brought up. However, I will not be visiting this establishment again, would NOT recommend it and would advise lovers of good food and good service to AVOID this place.

This Lamb shish kebab for take out is the best in all of west London! The closest rivals I tried were in Kingston.

We made a reservation in advance stating that we'd need a high chair for our toddler. We were looking forward to our visit to the restaurant as it was a family celebration. Unfortunately, when we arrived we were told that there was no high chair available. The whole restaurant has only one single highchair which was given to another group who was a walk in! Such a disappointment! We had to leave the restaurant and go back home! It's such a shame, the food is good and we used to be regular customers but we won't be going back after such a terrible customer experience! It's too much to bother when you have young kids!

The food was soooo good! The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauce so tasty! Can’t wait to eat there again.

Whole fish and skewers on the coals next to the satchi where they were baking bread. Extremely tasty and well-cooked meats. We got babaganoush, lamb shish, kaysarli pide, airan. For sweet kunefe that came dry, without enough syrup and tea. I would go again.

Turkish food is one of my favourite and I have tried many places in and around London. This is the best Turkish restaurant in London for me. I go there at least once a week. They have the best Turkish chef. Good quality fresh meat. Very friendly staff. I have taken friends and family to this place. Everyone loved it. I order on the phone and collect almost every Saturday. Food prices are nowhere cheap these days I think you get good value of money here. If you love Turkish food I would highly recommend this place…

Review is for takeaway - we could not have been more pleased with this order. Chicken beyti was so delicious, and my partner loved the chicken shish. I don’t understand the negative takeaway reviews because our portions were very generous, with tons of rice and salad and sauce and an entire bag of bread. Everything was fresh and juicy (chicken) or crisp (salad) and we were extremely satisfied.

Have different feelings and opinions about this place and foods. Lahmacun ve mezes were good. Adana kebab was average but absolutely didn’t like the Iskender. It was literally too oily and meat has lots of uneatable pieces, couldn’t finish and left, the staff did not ask about my meal. It was not first time visit but this time didn’t like it.

Wonderful food early dinner NYE,we had a sharing platter for 2 and 2 excellent side dishes with a bottle of very good Turkish wine. The chefs very kindly let us bring gluten free pitta which they warmed up.Two of our servers were friendly and conversed.The lady who served the wine neither spoke or acknowledged us which we found a bit strange but it may have been an off day.However, the superb food and wine and the portion sizes made for a very good dinner,hence the five stars.

Great food at typical Turkish price point which isn't bad for the area - £17-£20 for mains which come with rice salad bread etc. friendly staff in there and gave us tea on the house! Had the Adana kebab which was really good

Decided to try it after a stroll in Portobello Rd. Perfect! Really enjoyed the food and its quality. Meat tender, tasty and well presented. Salad freshly made and dressed. Hummus was lovely; however, a bit on the runny side. Freshly baked bread. Chicken was also very good. We’ll go back again.

Very good food. Excellent service and nice buzz inside the restaurant. Had a mixed grill and waitress was very flexible and allowed us to switch it up. The Lamb shish was exceptional. Will be back.

What a let down been going there years and I don’t know if new management take over but prices have gone over inflated for less quality u find way better locally. Ashame used to be always full now it’s dead and I see why. £12.50 extra with out service change just eat in is a absolute joke

Food was not very tasty compared to some of the other Turkish spots I’ve eaten in London. Staff were friendly and polite. Atmosphere was ok, was very busy. I have just had far better Turkish in Haringey North London.

But this place… I am a local, and I remember the day this place opened for the first time with the ‘half price food’ sign. I’ve probably eaten here 7/8 times. Every year or so a friend or the reviews trick me into coming back … What a disappointment.. every time. It’s got a great lovely atmosphere… it’s clean and looks good… the food though 👎🏼 Stop supporting bad quality restaurants. Try proper Turkish food

Mercimek çorbası, lahmacun, kuşbaşı pide sipariş verdik. - Çorbanın yanında servis edilen pide çorba bittikten sonra masaya geldi. - Lahmacun eti idare eder ancak kenarları hariç hamur olmuş. Küçük parçalara kesilip üst üste dizilerek servis servis edildi. - Son olarak, hayatımda yediğim en kötü kuşbaşılı pideydi. Et pidedan ayrı olarak pişirilip pide üzerine konulmuştu. Domates yok ve biber olarak salatalık biberleri kullanılmış. 4 kişi paylaşmak üzere sipariş verdiğimiz pideyi etin çok ağır koyun eti kokması nedeniyle sadece 2 kişi yiyebildi, onlarda çok aç oldukları için.

I am Turkish, We recently had adana kebap at Fez Mangal. It was the worst food I had in recent years. Awful. Everything else was good, I strongly recommend the owner needs to taste the adana immediately. Very very dissapointing.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while finishing our Saturday stroll in Portobello, and it turned out to be a great discovery. Turkish cuisine and a family-friendly atmosphere make it a wonderful find.

Food is great and so tasty … but I suggest getting a takeaway so you don’t get disappoint with the service. The two waitresses .. one blonde and one with black hair, have the worst attitude ever. They were so rude, never smiled once, rushed us to leave and to pay .. service was below par and just put us off the whole time. I don’t know what they were thinking hiring them, I have never seen service like that. Never eating in again.

We came as a family of 4 service was slow waitresses don’t seem to be much bothered on a busy evening. Lamb was slightly chewy. Bill came to about £115 which is reasonable for four people. But service not great.

When you go to a typical Middle Eastern place, they are supposed to give bread with sides to have before having the main meal and tea at the end. However, since turks aren't rlly from the Middle East(but they love to say they are) this place didn't even do that bare minimum service. Go to Edgeware Road and go to any other restaurant like Kurdistan restaurant, and you will see true hospitality at half the price too. For some reason, they were rationing the rice too hahahahaahah. Our waiter was very nice, she got along with us very well.

Sadly this is not the first time I have had terrible. Device at Fez I previously stopped coming here, as I felt the service has seriously gone down. Today proved my point, we came on a quiet Sunday afternoon the service was slow, the waitress appeared to not like her job not smoking once. We ordered she stated many of hot drinks were available. We ordered a mixture of drinks hot and cold all cold drink were brought to the table all hot drinks had to be rerequested. The dinner was served then the table bread came. Once we completed the food remained on the table for longtime, not once were we checked on during the meal to ask if we were ok or needed anything else. I finally caught her eye and requested the bill she took all payments then stood away from us with some other waitress talking and gesturing. When one of the other wait staff realised this they moved her off. We left minus tip the service was shocking, we many as well have cooked at home. Suffice to say my sisters birthday lunch had a very dull feel after this encounter! Please do better!

Be careful! They don’t give you an itemised receipt and later you realise they charged you £4 more than the price on their online menu. You contact their contact email address and some anonymous person replies that yes you have been overcharged and they owe you the difference and they will tell the management. Then dead silence and dead silence to a follow up email. I don’t live close by so I can’t just call in. £4 won’t break the bank but if they do that to a lot of customers it all adds up for them.

Not the same. Has been changed. They do charge you for tap water and they bring you bottle but it is tap water. Shame

Unfortunately, the quality of the food has really gone downhill in recent times. You can go to other turkish restaurants for a better price for better quality. Also, to make matters worse, they charge you £3.40 for a bottle of tap water, which they claim to be fresh still water.

Transformative, well rounded, intentional. I’m not the biggest fan of London restaurants, the hype around them usually doesn’t match the on-the-day experience, and frankly, I can count the good meals I’ve had in this city on fingers of my right hand… Fez Mangal is definitely up there, if not the best yet. From the shared started for two with the smoothest hummus and the most flavourful babaganoush, through to fabulous starter salad and cacik that left us seriously considering eating napkins dipped in them once the bread ran out (not that there wasn’t plenty of it to start with), all of the food left us colloquially ‘gobsmacked’. The freshly grilled sea bream was no less spectacular, probably the best one I have had, even when abroad. The food was simple, honest but bursting with flavour.

The service was ridiculous, waiting staff had a sour face. Also asked for bottled water and got a reused bottle of water (cap unsecure), then was told after that is was their own filtered water that we were charged £3.40 for. Food was decent, overpriced - understandable given location.
