I don’t understand why it’s so low. The Shish kebab was bang on form in terms of juiciness and the meze was delish. This place should be a 4.6 at minimum for taste and presentation. There was a slight confusion with the tip at the end as we ended up not giving one - apologies for that 😬

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this restaurant. I placed an order and paid in advance, expecting to receive my food on time and in good condition. However, the driver left my order somewhere else without any explanation or proper communication. I tried to reach out to the restaurant, but I was met with silence and complete disregard for my concerns. What hurts the most is the lack of respect and accountability. As a customer, I deserve to be treated with dignity and honesty, especially when I’ve paid for a service. Instead, I was ignored!

I have been to the Fez many times. Usually with friends or my grown children. I have also been several times with my wife when we come to London from NYC. On a recent visit we went with my eldest son. The food is always excellent, the lamb shish is super tender. My son had the Sea Bass. The service was good. Went again this Thursday evening 15th May. The staff were really slow and didn’t care that much. Seemed like we were a hindrance as we came at 9pm. The waitress didn’t come to our table to see if we were ready to order. Food came out fast. The waitress never asked if we wanted water, was hovering over us like she wanted us to hurry out. Very bad service. When we spend £81 on food we except good service. Now I don’t think I will go back. I feel because the restaurant has a good reputation the waitress’s can offer poor service. That is how people will stop going. Service is just as important as the quality of the food.

This was really a great find. I had the mixed mezze and the chicken doner, and both were excellent. Staff was attentive and quick. Wonderful experience!

For me one of the best Turkish restaurants in London, all the time I try a new Turkish restaurant I missing fez mangal, very faster for take away order, little be over price for a Turkish restaurant but always good!!!

If I could put more stars honestly I would and I'm not saying that to create buzz. This Turkish restaurant is the best we have ever tried so far (and yet we have a favorite address in the Paris region). We tried the takeaway chicken doner with hummus and tabbouleh and we enjoyed it so much that we went back the next evening! French and foreign friends, if you are passing through, I really recommend that you go and taste the Turkish grills of Fez Mangal, you will not be disappointed, I guarantee it!

I ordered a takeaway and it was absolutely horrible! I got the mixed meze for 2 and all the meze’s were mixed into one box (baba ganoush, hummus, tabbouleh and cacik all mixed together), not separated as you would expect. It looked like leftovers, I was so put off I couldn’t even eat it. Extremely disappointed. Never ordering from here again.

Nice Turkish restaurant. It was fairly quiet when we were here at 9 pm on Easter Monday, but I'm sure that it's usually pretty busy. Good food, good, friendly service.

I feel this place has been going a bit downhill in terms of meat being too dry and inconsistent bread however, I went yesterday and it seems the quality was back once more. Hopefully it continues as I was put off going here for a while due to the inconsistencies. It is also BYOB which is always a nice touch

We looked for a nice Turkish restaurant in London and realized that we came to the right place. Everything was very delicious. I definitely recommend it.

I ordered to take away. The chicken shish (skewers) was super tender, and the Baba Ganoush flavourful. The restaurant atmosphere is nice, there are a few tables outside and indoors plenty of space.

A place we spontaneously sat down on our way. 👉 The mezeeees were delicious and not too small. 😍 👉 We ate Lahmacun, and although the portion was small, we liked its taste. 👉 They had Tekirdağ rakı made me happy as a person from Tekirdağ. 💕

Smack in the middle of Ladbroke Grove is a location that either makes it or breaks a restaurant. There are so many choices in this area that it had better be good and as this place has been here for years and still looks full most evenings, it's obviously very good. Being a Greek Cypriot living in Berlin (but with 40 odd years in London before that), I have eaten a lot of chicken as shish, doner, kebap, on skewers, in pita etc. and I can say with complete sincerity that the Chicken in Yoghurt was maybe the best Mediterranean chicken dish i have ever had. Atmosphere and service were both reasonable, with the only downsides being that as it was so busy, it was very noisy (so a 4*) and the service could have been vastly improved with more attention at the beginning of the evening. We were left for 45 mins waiting for friends to arrive, and not one waitress came over to ask us if we wanted a drink nor something to nibble on! Really poor, and for that, I take down the service score to a 3. A pity.... If you can live with the lively atmosphere and so so service and you fancy some amazing Mediterranean food in this area of London.....then you must give this a visit. Simply put...fantastic.

As a turkish food lover, food was average. Lahmacun was with a small amount of meat and when i asked if it can be more, i was told it was the standard. I mean in Turkiye, it is easy to have decent lahmacun, i dont know why when Turkish people come here make it worse?! I also asked for parsley only without onion, they told me that they are premade - come on guys, parsley onion okay premixed but how hard to get some parsley konly? We had to ask for flat bread for 3 times as the kebab went cold. Problem is, place is squeezed a lot and poor ladies are trying to serve everyone which made the service unfortunately bad as well. Wish, i could have a pleased kebap experience yet another below average

You are paying high price for some Bad basmati rice that is over cooked? Also everything was out of stock, donner chicken and lamb and a lot of whats on the menu. We received the chicken very raw and they replaced it. Will never recommend this place to anyone. Dry food and not worth the price.

The best Turkish restaurant in West London, and I think it can compete with the legendary spots up north in Green Lanes etc. Get the mixed meze to enjoy their homemade bread, and then the mixed grill between two or three. If you're there alone, the chicken wings are exquisite.

I had the mixed grill, and while the lamb was tender and flavorful, the chicken was unfortunately dry and tasteless. This seemed to be a common issue, as six out of the eight dishes at our table had the same problem with the chicken skewers. However, the person who had the wings said they were good. On a positive note, the complimentary bread and dips were excellent—the bread was toasted with a lovely smoky flavor. The salad and rice were also well-prepared and enjoyable. If we hadn’t been heading to an event, I would have taken the time to raise the issue about the chicken. Overall, some good elements, but the inconsistency in the grill lets it down. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating, but given the issues with the chicken, I can only give it three stars.

Really upset after spending 50 pounds on a delivery for myself after hearing You Tibe reviews. Lamb shish was tough as boots, chicken flavourless. Halloumi rubbery and rice dry. I won’t order from here ever again.

Exceptional food but service could be slow and it was very cold on the ground floor due to the draft from the entrance door which was constantly opening due to delivery drivers picking up orders and customers coming and going. I would still return when it it is warmer outside or ask to be seated upstairs next time. The food was amazing. Flavourful, very big portions. Best chicken shish I had in ages. We also loved the flat bread which is freshly baked on site and served to you whilst still hot.

This our regular haunt for great Turkish food and it never lets you down. However the only downside is that the sitting space can be quite tight and stuffed. Take that away, and you’ll have great experience…

Don't go if it's cold outside. The restaurant is FREEZING due to the entrance door being constantly opened by customers and delivery riders.

So good. My favourite Turkish in London, have their take away once a week! Lamb Shish, lamb combo, tabbouleh, babaganoush and houmous are all simple, fresh and delicious every time. Chilli sauce is great too, really fresh and spicy. Lamb shish and Adana are properly bbq grilled, houmous is one of those really creamy ones, their bread is amazing, like pizza.

We had the misfortune to be served by the tall waitress who was clearly out of her depth last night, conspicuously out of keeping with the amiable vivacious team. Unlike the other waitresses, she was curt, presumptuous and rude, a demeanour and attitude befitting a reckless luggage handler. As a loyal customer who has introduced hundreds of friends and clients to your reputable establishment over the years, I am shocked that someone that clueless should be allowed to join an otherwise courteous, professional and approachable team. The said waitress is just not cut out for customer service.

I usually get there wraps for takeaway which are brilliant this time we tried dine in the food is excellent not the best but very very good went for the mix kebab for two was plenty for us both Turkish tea is always a bonus

The food is fantastic, I love the seabass in the grill, which is perfectly with salad and rice. The dish is huge and delicious. They made their own bread and are delicious! 100% recommended. I'm sorry, but for being honest, only they have one toilet mixed (woman-man) and are not always clean.

It looks nice at first glance but the place is very narrow with too many tables. So we are on top of each other. In terms of service it's the same, they try to send you out quickly to give your table. Regarding the cuisine, certain starters like halloumi are not homemade. The rest is passable without really being tasty. We will never come back again because the atmosphere, the welcome and the place are deplorable.

Good food , but such a let down on the service. The waiter looked like he’s been forced to work, and giving intimidating look if you asked to bring some more water . Ordered couple of dessert but only received one. We requested and paid the bill including the dessert we didn’t receive, And no point we received apology from the waiter , for not delivering what we order, only the attempt to move us on. Shame , as I am sure the owners will value the costumers and would want them to come back again and again, but are being let down but their employers who looked tired and bothered of your presence as a paying costumer .. 🙄

We went for dinner yesterday. Ordered a babaganush, an halloumi and a falafel wrap. Sadly the quality of the food was very low: the babaganush was tasteless. The wraps were heavy and unpleasant. We hope it was just a one off or that we tried the wrong dishes.

Pros It is decorated well. You will struggle to find a kebab shop with a better environment inside. The place is always buzzing as it’s popular in the area and has a strong rep on social media. The food arrives quickly and portion sizes are pretty good. Some of the grilled kebabs are very tasty like the chicken cubes and the kofta. Complimentary salads are great. Cons Being quite busy it can take some time to get the staff attention. They don’t have fries on the menu, fries are not authentic but they are a crowd pleaser. The kebab apart from the chicken and Adana kofte are just ok, the lamb pieces were a little chewy and the doner (both chicken and lamb) lacked power. We used a lot of sauces. All in: Will probably give Fez Mangal another go and try other dishes next time.

Excellent and regular haunt for myself of a working evening, my favourite being the halloumi wrap. If you’re buying a wrap, watch out as you get close to the end of it, the juice tends to drip out the bottom onto your shoes! Very friendly staff. And for all black cab draw drivers out there, you got a free drink with every meal!

Here, my gf and I ordered beyti and lamb döner. Beyti, pieces of bread in the oil lake and some chicken on top. I've never seen such a beyti before. My wife left the beyti as it was on the plate and couldn't eat it. Doner was dry. It was obvious that he had been waiting for a long time. Rice, on the other hand, was basmati and it was oil-free and stale. You can see that it is sticked together in the photo. The cola was good, it was cold and served with a glass :)

It was the worst couplet I have ever eaten in my life. The food was completely oily, and I felt nauseous. It's ridiculous to pay £20 for something that is made almost entirely of oil. I think it was the worst beyti I have ever eaten in my life. I have never eaten such bad meat in a Turkish restaurant. The food was completely swimming in oil. It's ridiculous to have to pay so much for bread and chicken pieces swimming in oil.

I want to share a non-food-related review about the staff. While I was having lunch outdoors at IKKYU, a worker from Fez Mangal came out and sat beside me to smoke a cigarette (I don't smoke, by the way). I found it inconsiderate for the worker to sit in front of a neighboring business to smoke.

We ate at the restaurant this evening. Excellent welcome and we had two different dishes A kebab Mèze and one with yogurt Very good and good portions. An address to recommend

Can I say it's the best place I've eaten in London? Exquisite food and excellent service. In the end, since it was our first time with Turkish cuisine, they let us try the Baklava. Everything special! Highly recommended.

I came here on a Sunday night for the first time ever, waited in the shop for ages as the staff were busy talking to each other and not focused on taking orders. I ordered a lamb doner - which was the only thing I had eaten that day, to a few hours later puking up non stop and having food poisoning, putting me out of work for the rest of the week

The worst food ever. The meat and their Adana kebabs is full of fat and chewy. This is not authentic Turkish food, It taste awful. They need to improve the quality of their meet , Chechen was good.

( I would give zero if I can) Unwelcoming environment. Extremely rude and aggressive staff. No respect for families and children. The food is oily average and no authentic Turkish taste. Only one dirty toilet with no toilet paper for the whole restaurant (and about 10 members of staff )which serve many tables and seats . For the price they charge , you would expect good , warm and friendly place but instead I find it well below the expected standard. My main concern is staff attitude, manner, rudeness and aggression toward customers when specially when making a request for service or even asking for toilet roll. For example we make order for small pieces lamb skew and they deliberately ignore our request and instead they make large pieces and when I question it the staff get rude and aggressive and try to intimidate and force us to accept what they serve us. One of their thug and mad chef was telling to come back after closing time for a fight simply because I verbally questioned and challenged his behavior and aggression in front of full restaurant with many children around . I have been coming to this restaurant for a long while but notice the food and service going down hill. Very disappointing. Don’t be fool by the good reviews I have made a complaint and the manager apologized but attitude still the same . I will not return to this place again

As a Turk, I must say I've never had a worse İskender in my life. Normally, I never leave anything on my plate, but this time, I couldn't even manage a second bite—it was that bad. It was utterly disappointing !! and bore no resemblance to the authentic İskender. I will never return to this place.

Favourite place in London for Turkish food. Amazing friendly staff and always huge portions. I'm very fussy but this place has become a regular visit. Credit to staff and management for consistant experience and hospitality.

I was pretty happy with the place(eating there once a week) till today. Namely, I am going there because of freshly made bread. This time one staff member lied to me saying "the bread is just made". Actually it was from yesterday(tastes like that) I found out after checking with other person there.I also checked the oven, which was turned off, and the baker told me that they didn't make bread today (they will). I was with kids. And that person who lied to me was making up reasons that it's really bread from today but it seems different because maybe someone else made it blah blah ...1000 reasons... very unprofessional....
