I visited Lisa’s tonight and this spot never fails to wow me. I’ve never met nicer staff (especially the blonde one kasia and one of the owners Adi) and I feel like part of the family. The food is so incredible and the montanara in particular is a must try! I will never not recommend Lisa’s to all of my family and friends!

Delicious food and friendly staff. Beef tagliata with rocket and parmesan is a must try. I would also recommend the tiramisú. All cocktails are good, but margarita is definitely my favourite. I'll be back!

Absolutely fantastic evening at Lisa’s! I came here with my cousins for dinner and had an incredible time from start to finish. The place has such a warm and lively atmosphere—cozy and charming early in the evening, then seamlessly transitioning into a vibrant bar with great music as the night goes on. The food was delicious, full of authentic Italian flavors, and the drinks were top-notch. But what really made the night special was the service—Jericho took care of us brilliantly, making sure we had everything we needed with such warmth and attention to detail. You can tell she genuinely cares about making guests feel welcome. Lisa’s is an Italian restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and amazing vibe. The pizzas were delicious, the service exceptional, especially thanks to Jerico. I celebrated my birthday there and they surprised me with a dessert and a special congratulations. Starting at 11, the place transforms into a bar with great energy, which made the night even more special. I will definitely return!

Dropped in for late lunch. Warm welcome, buzzy environment but a bit too noisy for our liking. The barman decided randomly off his own back to turn the music up - which was too high. My thoughts were ‘is this a bar or restaurant’ . First impressions weren’t amazing. Decided on food, starter and main. Prices a tad high but was hoping for good quality and enjoyable meals. Sat for 10 min looking around as the lady serving was too busy with other ‘friends’ and customers taking pictures, I had to flag down the barman who took our order. Food arrived in good timeframe, but I was genuinely shocked at what I received. I ordered a main meal - Chicken & mushroom with reduced wine sauce. Well literally that was it. £22 for couple thin pieces of chicken, soaked in a oily sauce with some mushrooms ontop. No garnish, no veg, rice, nothing. Iv eat in thousands of restaurants and Italian is one of my favourite meals. This was the most disappointing dish I have ever received in an Italian restaurant and in many years in general. I was shocked. The lady offered to ‘add some veg’ if I wanted, but I shouldn’t have to ask. I mean. Wow. I personally would not go back. I started eating some and then thought I’ll take a picture and share. Because genuinely, for those portions and slow, dull service , it’s not value for money. Even charging £9 service charge when the service was crap is an insult. (I had genuinely only eaten a few mouthfuls of the chicken) but that’s exactly how it came. Oily, boring, dull and small. Sorry, but I must be honest. £78 for 2 and we left disappointed.

As a local in Notting Hill, I’ve given Lisa’s multiple chances over the years, but my last visit was by far the worst dining experience I’ve had in London in five years. The staff are consistently rude and visibly stressed, but this time, their behavior was beyond unacceptable. One of the waitresses was incredibly short in tone, rushed us throughout the entire meal, and even told us we had to leave in 10 minutes—before our main course had even arrived. The moment we finished eating, they practically pushed us out, insisting we finish our drinks outside, despite the freezing 3°C weather. To make matters worse, the food was below average, certainly not worth the hassle. Lisa’s is nothing more than an overpriced tourist trap with the worst service I’ve encountered in London. Save yourself the disappointment and go elsewhere.

I only give 1 star because 0 is not at option. They were really rude, rejected us because our friend brought a baby and didn’t let us stay even though they told us they would let us stay on a smaller table. We even ordered 3 meals and a bottle of wine. It’s the worst experience I had in London. So I genuinely don’t recommend this place.

It is summer time over here in Notting Hill. Popped in this amazing Italian dreamland and went for some tagliatelle burrata and pomodorini, a simple but absolutely delicious dish which is perfect for the warm weather. I sat outside, enjoying the delightful atmosphere which recalls me Italian trattorias. Anyone is so nice and welcoming. Well done! Definitely recommended.

Truly a gem in Notting Hill. Food and service are top notch but the VIBE is the best in there. Run by its owners and real Italian staff in the kitchen. Great Live music on the weekends too and great cocktails. You don't find this kind of places in London that easily anymore.

Don’t understand how this restaurant got such good reviews. The “Greek salad” came with wilted lettuce! The waitress said it was soggy and brown looking because of the balsamic vinegar which shouldn’t be used in a Greek salad. There was no bruschetta available as there was no bread. Also no WiFI as the password wasn’t working! Not a great experience at all.

BEYOND rude. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like we were a burden. We had been told on the phone when we made the booking that we could stay for longer than the 2h allocated time seeing as this was our 4th time. When we sat down the waitress made us out to be liars which instantly put a sour taste in our mouths. The food was average, staff ignorant and we will not be returning nor would I recommend this restaurant to anyone! ONLY positive was that the singer was amazing.

A great Italian restaurant in the bustling Portbello Road district. The food was exceptional and the restaurant really vibrant. The pizzas and pastas were great. Perhaps I went on a busy day, but they struggled to manage the orders and people were complaining about waiting a long time for simple drink and food orders. I guess this happens when a place is bustling. I will definitely go back but on a quieter mid week day.

Uteserveringen var full så vi fick sitta inomhus, lite tråkigt då det var fint väder, men ganska skönt ändå. Solen tittade in på oss genom glasfönstret. Bra service och en god pastarätt.

I'm writing this review as the whole experience of booking a table is a joke! It took several phone calls and several emails which went unanswered for almost 3 weeks to book a table for a group of 9. After finally receiving confirmation, the restaurant called me a month later to cancel my booking as they 'forgot' they had already reserved the whole restaurant for a private booking. When I challenged the manager about the process and asked if it was standard practice to answer customers after 2 1/2 weeks she simply said 'we get a lot of emails'. We are now having to find somewhere fun to eat just before Christmas which is proving a challenge!

Over priced for a very basic Italian restaurant. Food acceptable but the restaurant lacks any atmosphere. We had bread and olive starters and no alcohol, no dessert and bill still came to £125 for 4 every ordinary pasta dishes. I came here before when it was a Swedish restaurant (was better then). It feels like they just stuck the "Italian" on the end of the name as the demand for Swedish food clearly less than Italian but the food needs to be better and cheaper or I don't see this place hanging around very long. So much rubbish food on Portobello nowadays. trying to attract the tourists, can't believe I fell for it being a local.

Location is perfect and the hostess and security guard were a delight. They owner or manager was so personable and helpful. Our server brought the wrong meal, and then fixed it. No problem. But at the end we waited 30 minutes for one dessert and watched as the restaurant morphed from a restaurant to a club. I think she forgot we were there? As people were lining up to get in we were subjected to them standing all around our table and smoking, which quickly switched the vibe from a romantic dinner to hurrying to leave. Food: bread was not fresh, pasta was! Ceviche was perfect. Never got that dessert :(

Underwhelming describes our experience of Lisa’s food and service. Neither were awful but likewise neither were anything special. A busy Saturday lunchtime in Ladbroke Grove saw our adult family venture into Lisa’s Italian restaurant. Given a high-table by the window, the first challenge was to scale the banquet seating… could have done with a leg up … and I’m average height! The restaurant filled around us and the atmosphere was nice. Our waiters were attentive, drinks arrived promptly (although the carafe of table water needed a quick reminder). Not a complicated order - gnocchi, 3 pizzas and a quinoa salad but for some bizarre reason every table around us, all of whom came in after us, received their order before we did - normally we wouldn’t notice but we were irrationally hungry. And to add to our despair, the hangriest of our party didn’t received his pizza until we had all finished our food! Pizzas - okay but I’m not going to write home about them. Gnocchi ditto. And here is where this review takes the tumble from an average 3 to an underwhelming 2 - weighing in at £14 the quinoa salad was at best paltry and I would even go so far as describing as pathetic in size and content. I only wish I’d taken a picture of the side-salad sized offering … preferably next to a pound coin for scale!!! You’ll have to make do with this close up and take my word for it! I think the recipe went like this… Take one small bowl Add 1) a teacup of quinoa 2) a piccola misura of rocket 3) ditto cherry tomatoes, olives & cucumber 4) and finally a suggestion of cubed feta. 5) and a sneeze of balsamic dressing! Having inhaled the salad in a few mouthful, it was decided that the food stalls outside would be our next port of call! So all in all, pizzas were… okay. Gnocchi was … okay. Quinoa salad was pathetic. Service was efficient. Timing was not great. £120 for 5 people including a bottle of house white (including a charge for service which is a pet hate of mine but I didn’t have the energy to ask them to take it off!) would have been fine if the food had been value for money - which in this day and age is key. Will we return…. No but it’s a tourist trap so I’m sure they won’t go out of business

Lisa’s is one of those inconspicuous slightly hidden restaurant gems where nothing on the menu seems over the top, yet every dish is done with love, care and attention to finshing details. And if you’re lucky enough to come in the live music evenings, you’re in for a treat. Probably the most endearing place in Portobello Road.

Food was OK, pasta and fish were good, meat wasn't good. Service was average. Shop seemed closed from the outside with a black closed curtain at the door. Music was very good. Very expensive for the experience.

Proper Italian, starter+main menu for a tenner! And they served gluten free pasta, too. I found this place by searching for gluten free restaurants and thanks to other reviews I found the perfect one.

Was really looking forward to this place as it's one of my friend's favourites - but was ultimately disappointed by the very loud live music which was overpowering as soon as I walked in and throughout our time there. My friend and I had to lean forward and shout to each other, and repeatedly ask what the other said as it made it so hard to have a conversation! For a small, intimate space the volume should be adjusted accordingly...it was distracting rather than enjoyable or relaxing. Quite dark, could've benefited from candles on tables perhaps. Lacked warmth. Moving onto the food, I was just disappointed. When we ordered the bread I assumed it would arrive hot/toasted or at least a little warm, but it was cold (I should've asked, in hindsight) and when my pasta came out it was cold on the outside and lukewarm towards the middle, and quite chewy, as if it'd been sitting for a while. I didn't want to raise an issue and wait for a replacement as I was so very hungry. However the service was lovely and the drinks were well made. Had high standards as a few other restaurants I've been to in the area were amazing. Would like to come back and try something else as maybe it was a one off, but will not be rushing to.

A very rude waiter, who obviously thought he was the greatest person since sliced bread, furthermore had the personality of a cardboard box. After having our refreshments he pranced up and down waiting for payment, looked us up and down and was generally a very unpleasant waiter.

Ate here at tables outside;during the week they do a set lunch for £10 Monday to Friday. It’s a simple set lunch of salad or bruschetta followed by chicken or pasta of the day which was gnocchi with tomato and cheese sauce and was the best gnocchi I’d eaten ever. Friendly service -very relaxed -would highly recommend.

We visited Lisa's on Portobello Road for a Friday lunch. Very friendly staff team and the service was excellent. We chose seating outside under the canopy. We ordered dishes from the antipasto and mains menu - and the food was amazing. Will definitely be returning soon! Highly recommended.
