Le Keux in Birmingham

Myself and my sister visited the new Leamington Spa shop together after receiving a buy a gift voucher for a birthday. There is plenty of parking around the shop however we went on a Saturday and it was very busy which made us 15 minutes late as we could not find a space. We rang the shop and they were so kind and advised us not to worry. We had the afternoon tea. We paid £8 extra for sandwiches and some quiches (I think this is only because we had a voucher). I believe it’s £18.95 normally for an adult and £8.95 for a child. You have to book in advance for the afternoon tea. It’s quiet a small venue with 4 tables but it’s very quaint and a great atmosphere with brilliant decoration. We absolutely loved the afternoon tea, it had a huge selection of sandwiches and loads of cakes and of course, a scone each with jam and cream. It didn’t seem handmade but never the less the food was amazing. We were also given a goodie bag to take home anything we didn’t eat. You could choose from a range of hot drinks and cold drinks. The two ladies who served us were absolutely amazing. One of the ladies took loads of photos of us around the site which was great to keep as memories. They have all different types of events that they do and have a 1950s style salon where you can have your hair and make up done. Overall this was an amazing experience! I would 100% recommend it.

I went to Le Keux Leamington Spa for afternoon tea. Lovely place, cakes were lovely especially the scones. Lovely friendly lady serving. Not a very large place, great atmosphere had fun having my pictures took. Great for all age groups

This little salon was a real find. I didn't book for an amazing vintage make over on offer but my sister had booked us afternoon tea at short notice and we also took my nephew and Eldest who ordered from the main menu. The food isn't home made as such but the location really was the appeal. Overall we loved the time we spent together, the service was lovely. The mis match crockery adorable and the create your own options on the menu led to my nephew going crazy with his waffle and milkshake choices. I can't be sure if he ingested a whole packet of oreos but quite possibly. A great place, Afternoon tea food probably needs some work to be great but was good value for money overall.

After years of wanting to try out Le Keux (and remembering when it opened), my friends and I booked afternoon tea to scope out the place for a potential bigger get together for a special birthday. Lynsey and Shona were excellent hostesses, taking payment in advance and even adding on an extra person at short notice - I can't fault the staff, they love what they do and it shows. Getting there, we were seated with a short delay, but the waitress did explain they were running behind and was very apologetic. It gave us a chance to absorb the atmosphere - the Custard Factory can look a bit soulless, but Le Keux is very nicely decorated with some cheery 50s music adding to the ambience. It is small, but Le Keux's main business is the salon, so of course that will take priority. The food was quite nice; but there was some confusion over quantities. Between the five of us, two had ordered just the sweet and the other three went for savoury as well as sweet; we sorted it out amongst ourselves but there were a lot of sandwiches there for just three, and perhaps not enough cake for five. The tea was limitless though and while there isn't a huge tea menu, there's all the old favourites. All in all I'd come to Le Keux again with a couple of friends and make a day of it with the salon; it's their main attraction after all, but perhaps not with a lot of folks.

The milkshake here is excellent, really excellent, and although quite pricey, you do get plenty for your money and they are very well put together. The service was also very good. The only downside was I felt the place lacked atmosphere, the decor and music were brilliant, but as we were the only customers the 50s diner buzz just wasn't quite there. Hopefully you're busier at different times of day?

Always head here if I'm heading to an event and want to impress with a standout retro hair look. These time traveller magicians take my straggly birds nest and turn me into a pin up retro dream. In other salons, I spend the majority - if not all - of the appointment staring at my phone of blankly at the ceiling and the time seems to drag by. However, here the experience is a dream. You spend your appointment constantly in awe of the gorgeous decor and the retro trinkets that surround you. Chatting away to the hilarious and lovely staff and feeling like you've been taken back in time to a 1950s movie scene. Every time I have had my hair done here I've been showered in compliments - I can never take the credit because its 100% down to the retro hair magicians at Le Keux. I've gone for 1920s-1950s Old Hollywood looks and really recommend them but have also watched other clients get gorgeous victory rolls and 60s looks. Can't go wrong if you go to this salon!

We booked Rachel to do hair for the bride, two bridesmaids and a guest for a wedding. She was really friendly and created a fun atmosphere while we were all getting ready. All of our hair looked amazing and we would definitely recommend Le Keux for hair styling for weddings!

This isn't a restaurant, despite the options asking me about brunch and lunch etc. It is a day out experience where you can book for a birthday or hen party and have your hair done like they had in the 50's and take photos of you and your friends on their many different props/backdrops. It was incredibly fun and the ladies who do the hair are fantastic. I didn't want to take mine out!!!!

Attended 'Le Keux' as part of a hen party, spending an afternoon each having a vintage makeover (hair and make-up) and afternoon tea which consisted of a variety of sandwiches, cakes and scones. A wonderful experience overall as all the staff were professional and made sure we enjoyed ourselves, each choosing a different 1950's hairstyle and trying new make-up looks for that era. The salon is very well decorated as a step back to the past and the afternoon tea was beautifully presented and delicious, again attention to detail with the individually patterned teapots, cups and saucers. Certainly a unique experience, thank-you 'Le Keux' for making the afternoon memorable and special!

Went for a hen party for a vintage makeover and afternoon tea. Our hair and make up looked amazing after; lots of styles to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tea was lovely too.

Great place for pin up photo shoots, afternoon teas, milk shakes, hen parties, parties, hair styles, make up, tutorials and loads more. Lovely place great staff, very clean, friendly, helpful, amazing photo shoot. I was very nervous before hand but Rachel did my hair and make up exactly how I wanted it and I really enjoyed my photo shoot in all their vintage settings. Will be back. *******

So glad I found this place, I had a birthday makeover and photoshoot. I loved having my make up and hair done vintage style and choosing the outfits to wear The sets for the photos were fab, it was a great treat and I am really happy with how the photos turned out

The team done an amazing job on my outfit makeup and hair to fit my needs, jake the new boy was fantastic really good laugh and easy to speak too! Done my hair absolutely beautiful couldn’t of asked for any better style! The girls were so good at the makeup everyone was very pleased thanks for making this the best day ever xxxx

Most vintage diners are just an attempt to recreate the era. This place however is the real thing even down to the quality of the old fashioned milk shakes. This place is a real find.

Had a birthday pin up makeover with my mum n daughter it was really fun. We loved it. The photos were sent to us strait away so we could choose the ones we wanted to order. Lovely girls working there.

batidos servidos en mesas con manteles 50's Diner con pastelitos y batidos, etc. Sí son 4.50 libras pero son como una comida en sí mismos. Los sabores son más allá de la fresa, chocolate y vainilla habitual. Están hechas con helado y contienen 2 vasos completos vale la pena. Puedo recomendar las tartas. El personal es en 50 equipo y me hubiera gustado que mi foto tomada en el Cadillac sofá. Café ( con recambios gratuitos) y té también está disponible. Y lo mejor de todo, no algunos florecientes gran cadena de café con un ojo en lo que parece un dominio del mundo.

Una pequeña cena dentro de un salón de estilo de los 50's. En general muy bien, el personal es muy amable y servicial, todos vestidos de como se puede esperar. Muy bien decorado por personas con una minuciosa atención por los detalles. batidos caro en 4.50 libras pero la jarra contiene 2 vasos vale la pena. Su promoción de Shake y un pastel por £5 total hace más soportable, y el bollo de té de crema bien merece la pena. El hueso de la discordia era el único la discordancia de la música en el salón principal es lo suficientemente ruidoso para coinciden con la música independiente parecía que insisten en jugando en la cena, cuando no había necesidad.
