Le Grand Cochon - Delicatessen Sandwiches in Brighton and Hove

Great staff. Great rolls and super salad boxes. I’m a regular here. Good food on the go. Recommend to all.

Yesterday I had the £6.50 salad box and it was a taste sensation. You get every salad on offer (about 6 or 7 I think) and I had a taste of the Russian Beetroot dressing which caught my eye. The ingredients for the dressing are secret as all the best recipes usually are and they tell me that this features in the Reuben sandwich. I'm not sure I can cope with the delight that that would be but I might try :D Quick and friendly service to. Tick, tick tick.

Simon. Allana. Sam. You have made lunchtime, a much anticipated event. It is a common thing nowadays to see a Briton chowing down on £3 meal deal. What is not so common is the love and passion and fun that these three put into their craft. I have been to the establishment twice this week for lunch and will definitely be returning. Each day I have had the same wrap, affectionately named The Chairman Mao. This is a duck, sesame seed , hoisin sauce lettuce, spring onion, cucumber filled wrap literally bursting at the seams. ( I can confirm Allana that yours was just as good as Simons, although I reckon the amazing playlist gives you an edge ;) ) It is refreshing to find what is essentially a sandwich shop dealing out flavour and flair with gusto and smiles. If you ever want to know where the devil goes on his lunch break, ask the artists in Hell's Kitchen.

Este es un pequeño establecimiento. La directora Alba es un paquete de energía y de asegurarse el excelente nivel están cada día. Ella es amable y champán y la comida es muy buena. También está impecablemente limpio. No puedo alabar lo suficiente. Sándwiches son al mismo precio que en los supermercados y aunque están mucho más fresca y saludable. El único pequeño inconveniente es que las tartas de aspecto genial, pero son un poco decepcionante, pero no dejes que esto te desanime - los sándwiches y ensaladas son para morirse. No camine por esta gran tienda de bocadillos con su personal super.

La chicas te atienden muy bien, te ofrecen de todo, no es caro, el pan esta buenísimo y la comida es bien casera. Tienen unas mesitas para sentarte si tienes suerte que hay sol.

Fresh quality food, shame the service didn't match. Maybe having a bad day. No welcome smile. Perhaps will try another day as I'm local X

Friendly service and a variety of sandwich fillings on offer. Although it is always busy the staff do a great job and you don't have to spend too much time queuing, however the wait is worth it.

When I worked near by I would always get my lunch from here. They do the best jacket potatoes. Service is always super quick and friendly which is what you want in your lunch break. The specials are always different and lovely.

El mejor sandwich - tuve el dedo sandwich más increíble de pescado - una maravilla de mi infancia. He estado en Le Grand Cochon muchas veces desde la tienda ha sido tomada por los nuevos propietarios. Tienen un nuevo lote maravilloso lleno de deliciosos pasteles y tartas, rellenos de sándwiches. Recomiendo encarecidamente este deli.

It's a very good takeaway and a good choice of sandwich fillings and other foods. Always busy which is a good sign considering there is so much competition in the area,

Después de una hora caminando las calles y callejones en Brighton, al final decidimos ir a comer algo ... Qué suerte tuvimos de encontrar este lugar, el personal era abierta, amable y cortés, un cambio refrescante de más temprano en el día. Y luego la comida, mejor de lo que me esperaba, fresca y bien presentada. ¡Sin duda alguna volveremos otra vez. Le Grand Cochon bien hecho!

Gran servicio, excelentes precios y personal agradable! Unas ensaladas vegetarianas, realmente recomiendo este y parece excelente, ya que se ha hecho. Sin duda, uno para probar, el sandwich de aguacate y tomate gourmet es épica!

This deli is fantastic... the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. My favourite is the salad box and juice deal for £6.00p. The salad is fresh and full of lovely delights like pasta with spicy tomato and black olives. The juice is made fresh with pressed oranges, lemon and ginger and topped off with lots of cold ice cubes. Great value! 10 out of 10!

The food is great! I can't walk past with out grabbing a bite to eat, every time I have been the staff have been very friendly.

I always try and get my lunch from here mainly on Friday when they have hot pork sandwiches which are amazing!!!. Very reasonably priced and its nice to support a local business rather than one of the chains. You will not be dissapointed!!!

I never normally write reviews but feel as if i must share my experience of this superb culinary establishment.After studying the extensive menu for what seemed an eternity, i chose the salt beef and mustard salad roll, and i was not disappointed.The granary roll was huge and was extremely good value.I will definitely be visiting again.

Have never been in here before, but walked passed today and saw that it had been done up. Me and a few friends brought the most delicious sandwiches, cakes and coffees. Staff were lovely and polite. Very good price. Will defiantly be going back. Five stars! *****

Liked everything.Nice cup of tea and a delicious sandwich, friendly lady, its a takeaway but there are a couple of tables if you want to sit in, which we did.

Good variety of ingredients but a bit steep for what you get. Alright every now and then. Not a scratch on Frankie Vaughan's other side of town.

A Le Grand Cochon di Hove abbiamo mangiato dei sandwiches squisiti!!!Gli ingredienti sono esposti in un ricco banco-frigo, salse varie, pomodori, insalate e ovviamente salsicce, uova e bacon cotti sul momento e mixati in base ai gusti del cliente...tutto veramente ottimo, economico e servito con gentilezza e simpatia (cosa che non abbiamo trovato spesso in Inghilterra).Durante il nostro soggiorno a Hove siamo tornati a Le Grand Cochon ben 3 volte...!La mia personale scelta: pane integrale con burro, maionese, uova, salsiccia, bacon e pomodori...ebbene sì! Ma volendo ci si può anche limitare a qualcosa di un po' meno impegnativo!
