The food & coffee was lovely. Small but quaint. You know a place is good when the locals eat in it. Howard & Debbie were very welcoming. Loved Debbie in her Christmas lights. She made the best strawberry milkshake with ice cream and lol I slurped to the last little drop. Delicious!!

Visited Lazy Days on our way into Port Issac for a cream tea. The cafe was very clean and well presented and the staff attentive and friendly. The scones that came with the cream tea were delicious and very light, they were presented with the usual clotted cream and strawberry jam (a very nice jam with pieces of fruit) and garnished with fresh strawberries. I would highly recommend visiting if you decided to have a trip to Port Issac

My wife and I visited on separate occasions one Saturday morning. I had left my wife to return to the car while my wife continued to take some last minute photos of beautiful Port Issac. I popped into this cafe to get a milkshake. The service from the young girl was as if I was an annoyance - no welcoming smile, no eye contact and very short with me. The lady behind the counter that made the milkshake and gave it to me was exactly the same. Ironically after my wife met me at the car she said that she had been into a cafe up the road and that they were extremely rude to her as well. I asked if it was Lazy Days and she said yes. 2 separate accounts in 30 minutes of really really poor service. The staff have no customer facing standards - a requirement of the tourist industry unfortunately for them. Prices are also extortionate.

Absolutely loved Lazy Days. The best vegan cinnamon bun we have ever had....and I am a lover of cakes so have tried a few. The blueberry bakewell was also delicious...stocked up on them both for the journey home! Debbie and Howard were very welcoming to me and Erik...our very large German Shepherd...after our morning walk he made a beeline to the cafe being treated to a biscuit each visit while I enjoyed my oat latte and bun! Cannot wait to return next year.

I visited here with my fella and we had a cream tea. It is one of the best cream teas I have had. The cream was delicious and the scones (you get 2) were just the right size (sometimes they are too big). It was just under £12 for 2 of us, so not a bad price either.

We really enjoyed our cheese and onion pasties at Lazy Days today - friendly service and such a tasty lunch :-) We asked, and the cheese in the pasties is Davidstow, made very locally. Later on, after having been down to the harbour and walked back up the steep hill on our way back to the car park, we stopped off again and enjoyed Callestick ice creams there - delicious! Can definitely recommend.

We wandered around Port Issac not realising quite how touristy it would be before we got there. Silly, I know. Anyway, we decided to get out of the hustle of the seafront and walk back up to the top and saw the words 'VEGAN PASTIES' in the front window. I genuingly couldn't have been happier with my order as it tasted bloody lovely and so flavoursome. Then they also had oat milk (vegans know this is the ultimate milk in hot drinks.. much better than soya, which is what loads of cafes normally have)! My little eyes lit up much to the owner's amusement as I looked like a cat who had got the cream. A really lovely vegan pastry which tastes homemade and a vegan mocha with oat milk. My partner, a carnivore, also loved his food and wished we had found it earlier on our trip to Cornwall! We would both really recommend here for the food, service and just warm atmosphere!

The owners couldn’t be more passionate about the cafe, they are always happy to see us in the mornings and every day it is an enjoyable experience. Also, as it is 2020 and Covid is affecting us all, it is well worth mentioning that Lazy Days is very Covid safe and they take all the precautions seriously. So to sum it up.. the food, the staff, the service and the prices couldn’t be better! I look forward to many more daily visits

first I have to tell you all how great it was to return to lazy days again, its been twelve long months since we first discovered this little gem.Absolutely proud of the couple that own the cafe, yes it may now be take out service and a smaller menu, but look, they are still making fabulous cakes and are still smiling. We had sausage baps for breakfast and in the afternoon we had afternoon tea for two on the nearly romantic bistro table and even next to the road it was perfect to us.The lazy days menu has been on tour with us for the past year because the emblem on the front simply puts a smile on your face and lets face facts,at this moment in time its a shot in the arm for a lot of people.Well done you guys, please stay safe and your heads held as high as they were when we spoke.my last revue titled lazy days for us was pre covid and apart from the fact your not sitting inside the attitude of customers was great to see and hear,we also took our breakfast down to the port and enjoyed teasing dogs a lot and the looks on peoples faces as we tucked into our baps was laughable

The Victoria sponge cake was really amazing , and such a generous portion. The staff were so friendly, and made us feel very welcome even though it was ten minutes before closing time when we walked in! They are so relaxed and we didn't feel rushed to leave at all . We have been to so many places where you feel like an inconvenience to the staff if you turn up near closing time so it was really refreshing to have such a nice experience at lazy days!!

Stopped at this little cafe which is in a great location at the top of Port Isaac before you walk down to the harbour. Perfect for a coffee & cake stop.

so easy to stumble across this restaurant, its the very first the first thing you see as you enter the village and is right next to the car park and bus stop.we were determined to get here early so decided we would have breakfast when we got there.Really pleasant looking place with inner and outside tables.Window seat for us with the sun beaming through the window.Place was already busy early in the morning. The menu is so easy, because there isn't hundreds of options to choose from, its breakfasts and lunches.I had sausage barm which was huge and hot, wife had the best eggs benedict she had tasted in a long time.tea and coffee served steaming hot.We simply demolished the breakfast. The staff made a point of greeting everyone that walked through the door,So we paid a fare price and set off for the village.Walking around for hours and dodging dogs and their leashes made us peckish again and after reading the menu on offer at a couple of the other eateries we decided that five pounds for a tiny basket of frozen chips was not for us.So back to the lazy days we went, and it was so worth the uphill trek.Again it was busy but soon found another window table. The staff remembered us from earlier which was nice.We had the traditional cream tea.Absolutely perfect and plenty of it.Even though it was busy the staff still stopped for a chat with us we were told that all the cakes and scones were home baked and you could see the pride on the mans face as he chatted about their pride and joy.It was so pleasing for us to hear how they had given up their lives in the city to relocate here, taking on other jobs before taking the plunge and introducing the world of tourism to the fare of lazy days. This is a tastefully decorated place, spotlessly clean and besides two really small photographs there was not a single doc martin relic for sale. Its great that the restaurant is being seen for its good food and fare prices rather than jumping on the bandwagon of so many other places making money from the tv series.A little tip if you fancy a visit, the cafe next door is very close and easily confusing as they both appear to be the same place.Cannot rate lazy days, the food, service or the people concerned with running it highly enough.Try it,you'll like it,especially the homemade scones and cakes.

We stopped off for a sandwich and a coffee. Everything was made fresh and presentation is superb. The homemade cakes looked amazing. Owners very friendly and the cafe is dog friendly. Definitely worth a visit but you may have to wait as the cafe is always very busy but you’ll be pleased you did.

Oh my days, Lazy Days, this place is wonderful. We had the open smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel... they toasted the bagel, they added on lovely cream cheese and then some beautiful smoked salmon, served with a lovely side salad that came dressed AND then we shared the cream tea..... now as a tour driver / guide here in Cornwall, I’ve had my share of Cornish cream teas, but this one, the lightness of the scone, the little added touch of a quartered strawberry in and around the jam and cream.... THIS RANKS RIGHT UP THERE WITH THE VERY BEST. Oh and if we didn’t mention it before, the staff and owners are great. In the words of ‘Arnie’ I’ll be back.

Had a great, good value breakfast at this excellent little cafe. The owners and staff are absolutely delightful, making us very welcome. Whilst we had breakfast, which was scrummy, the homemade cakes looked glorious and definitely call for a revisit.
