Some of the best fish and chips you will find in Cornwall!! This is a small chip shop that does not offer a dine in experience but it.most certainly offers the best quality fish and chips around. Chips cooked in beef dripping and the fish is always fresh. Very friendly staff. Great prices Great food

With 2 lunchtime specials on the wall I ordered the 'small cod & medium chips' option at £5.30 which I considered good value. Whilst the portion of chips was a generous size, the cod was the smallest that I've ever had anywhere and not much larger than a big fish finger, small fish means very small. The fish was cooked well with a slight crisp to the batter, whilst the chips were a bit limp but tasted fine. In an area where there are some outstanding chippies this is by far not the best but it is fine and I would use again if hungry & passing by. My only small grievance is that the staff insist on putting 'salt & vinegar' on which is very individual on taste. I think that I may have enjoyed my meal more if I was able to apply it myself.

Cod and chips from here this evening and it was fantastic. It was very busy when I visited but the staff here were efficient and attentive and considering how many orders they were preparing, the wait was not too bad. I ordered four lots of fish and chips which, due to how busy they were, we're all freshly cooked. We took the food back to our campsite and it didn't take long to polish it off, despite a generous (but not too big) portion size. Quality of both fish and chips was excellent. The curry sauce was dark and thick, with a nice sweet and spicy taste. Price was reasonable (you don't get cheap fish and chips anywhere these days!) Overall, highly recommend and worthy of 5 stars.

The Cod is excelent, the sausages are lovely, chips are amazing and tasty. The personel is very friendly and approachable. Since we discovered this fish and chips shop, we come back every week. Delicious take away and highly recommended!

First time I used this chip shop, staff are friendly so gave two stars , I ordered fish and chips , must have been smallest fish in the sea and asked for large portion of chips which again were definately not large based on other local chip shops. Wont be returning. Dissapointed.

Fish wasn't as nice as before it tasted dry

Really disappointed. Actually I feel ripped off. We have these normally good fish and chips about once every 2 months. Today 2 September at 1800, we've eaten dried up, tough, soggy battered cod. Probably lunchtime or even last night's leftovers. It's a 10 mile round trip so there was nothing I could do. The birds can have it. What is now a bit of a treat is too expensive to chuck away. I'm not going again and will stop recommending it. Very insulted, they took the P*SS. We'll have to cook something else now! I'll try Supermarket fish.

Fantastic fish & chip shop. Everything is fresh, cooked perfectly and in our opinion the best chippy around. Andy and the team are brilliant. After 20 years in Lanner we’re moving, but definitely will be back for the odd fix of Lanner chippy and a pea fritter. 😃

Had these chips this evening, probably the best chip shop we have been to in a long time! Very fairly priced, lovely size portions and tasted absolutely fantastic would highly recommend.

I've been driving past this place for years when I'm on route to Redruth from Falmouth, and I never seem to be passing when they're open. Last week I actually passed while they were open so I popped in quickly for a portion of chips. They were absolutely gorgeous, well cooked & the taste was amazing. Today I made sure I was passing when they were open at lunchtime & had saveloy & chips, again, it was lovely. I can't wait to try some fish. Staff are very friendly, a highly recommended fish 'n' chip shop!

Such a shame!! The chips are absolutely the best around but I can't believe the tiny portion of roe I've just picked up. It is tasty but as thin as a pancake. It's a pretty cheap ingredient and for it to be such a skinny slice is a real disappointment.

Hands down worse place ive ever had heard nothing but good things for years so I give it ago get jumbo cod and it was 2 small pieces of soggy cod and chips were soaked with grease and forgot my curry sauce what I paid for and my partner got a chicken burger and it was soggy it genuinely was tge worse food I've had in a long time wont ever be coming back.

Very nice fish & chips....Fish is lightly buttered and has very nice flavour. Chips are not oily. You can come anytime fish is always fresh and cooked to order.

Serves reheated chips. Potatoes are so cheap that no chippy should ever serve reheats. I would rather wait for fresh ones to be cooked than have reheated ones. This is second time it's happened here so I won't come back.
