Burgers are nice but really expensive for what you get

The best American food anywhere in uk. I had to come back this year on my hols. If you like burgers thus is the place. Shame there's not one to north.

We are regular visitors here at bookoos as we live locally but after our visit today we won’t be returning. Firstly the service was so poor. Took ages for us to be served in the first place. Food comes out and it looks good however was flavourless and dry. The chips were stale and dry also. Feeling disappointed by the meal we went to order our milkshakes and I was confident that as always, these would make up for it but as soon as we had a sip something wasn’t right. They tasted awful, they had an almost buttery taste/gone off milk. Definitely didn’t taste like Kinder bueno and definitely was not up to the normal standard. Very disappointing after spending £70 on two burgers chips and milkshakes, so won’t be returning and will be telling people to try elsewhere.

I celebrated my 60th birthday on Saturday 17th August with family. The server was excellent and very polite and fully understood my allergies and was professional. We gave her some of my birthday cake as we all felt she deserved something. This is the 4th time of eating at Falmouth Boo Koos and never disappoints. Burgers are excellent. Thank you

Myself and my family have been here quite a few times and we’ve always received 5* service and amazing food. All staff are friendly and attentive, we were served by Fin last night who was truly amazing. The manager has also always been lovely everytime we’ve visited, definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good meal in Falmouth

Having eaten at the Helston restaurant last year which was incredible, we visited Falmouth this time for some more milkshakes. A signature of Book Koo's and will be going for more over the coming years, keep up the great work guys!

Great atmosphere and food, extremely welcoming staff, will return when next down! If you can open one in Dorset I'll be in daily!!

Good varied menu but overpriced for very average Tex Mex inspired food. This is nothing you couldn't knock up at home if you have even rudimentary cooking skills. Very hit and miss on service. Sometimes really fast and good other times a long wait. For what you get the prices are a bit high. Overall it's fine for a quick fix burger or similar of very average quality if you're hungry and in the area.

SOOO TASTY AND REALLY NICE SERVICE OMG! We got a bunch of food and all of it was sooo yummy and delicious and very cheesy! Arrived quickly and you just wanna eat everything!!

Found this little beauty whilst on holidays and the food and shakes were absolutely fab! Good vegan options (always a challenge for us with lactose intollerance) and this was aptly catered for and options sought and discussed with staff with no issues. Well worth a visit! Highly recommended

Only gets 2 stars from me for this latest visit. We ate at boo koo twice on our last visit to helston as we fell in love with the red white and blue burger. Mostly because of the oozing mix of cheeses. We are in Falmouth on holiday and rushed in for the red white and blue once again. Very disappointed I'm afraid. Barely any cheese and quite dry. Not one to complain, I merely mentioned it to the waitress as I paid my bill and included a tip. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere is amazing. Tip for the chefs, get some more cheese on the red white and blue please!!! Perhaps don't overcook it either.

Easy to book table via website. Restaurant stylish, clean, tidy. Shenna was our waitress. TOP class. She was friendly, energetic, helpful and went above and beyond. Immediately welcomed with a smile and complimentary tortilla chips + cheese dip. Water for the table in no time. Quick and easy ordering, with no errors. Fast tidy up when eating finished. Couldn’t pick a single fault. The group of 4 were in firm agreement that Shenna was 110% the best waitress we had all experienced in our lives. She is a credit to Boo Koos. Well done and thank you.

Despite a group of 50 school kids arriving, the staff were all smiley and helpful. Great nachos, even better cocktails

A seriously great Tex-Mex experience- -and as a native Texan with Tex-Mex restaurant experience myself, I know it well. We loved the frozen margaritas, jalapeño poppers, nachos, chicken quesadillas and rice and refried beans. We can vouch for the excellent Texas-style service. And the atmosphere is homegrown (literally, since Lisa is from home and brought it all here). It made me homesick. Huge vegetarian menu, BTW. And Dr Pepper. And root beer floats. Just sayin'.

Thought I'd update my review to 5 Stars after a great visit today with amazing service from 'May'. She was brilliant, very efficient and polite with a lovely attitude. She never stopped serving, she was great to all her tables, really impressed, a credit to the establishment👏🏼...Boo Koos Falmouth is a great UK version of a US 'style' eatery, with a plethora of American branded signs & neon lights adorning the walls. An escape from the usual with a great selection of nice, but pricey, beers. Food portion sizes are large & very filling so beware, especially the size of the fries portions, I over order every time I visit, but they always offer a takeaway box, a nice option. Menu isn't for peeps on a diet, and it tastes amazing! As usual with any decent venue in Cornwall, it's sooo much nicer now the sun's out and the tourists haven't properly arrived yet! 😎

Nice American style food ribs were great but they were a big portion which I thought I could handle. The milkshakes were also very nice!

Really average food. The bar had a nice setting etc but the burgers were dry and not anything to write home about. Really disappointed. Service was good.

There was 8 of us plus a toddler. Drinks mains and sides all arrive in descent time. All the food was hot and delicious and brought to the table almost all at once. The staff were fast friendly welcoming hard working professionals. Genuinely truly impressed and could not recommend more highly. Top marks all round. 8 adults left very grateful for a perfect night out. Thankyou

Not a great experience, from front of house to quality of food

Would highly recommend you book this popular American diner restaurant very busy, a true one off with its Wild West themed decor and atmosphere. The food was amazing real meaty tasty burgers that were huge everyone enjoyed their food the waitress was very attentive. Definitely recommend this for everyone wanting an American diner experience.

Always love coming here, specials are always awesome and definitely worth having they seem to put a lot of thought and time into them. The restaurant itself is always clean and spacious and staff are always lovely.

Told server that my daughters chicken was not right, said they would knock it off the bill but didn't. Overall a bit poor.

Falmouth, Cornwall. Gluten free menu, dairy free menu, vegan menu and vegetarian menu…what more could one ask for?! This place is paradise for people both with and without diet restrictions …but especially a treat for those who cannot eat a burger normally. Their alcoholic drinks were good too. The burgers and other things on the menu (chicken quesadilla etc) taste fresh and delicious, service is quick, ambience is warm and friendly, location is right in the town square …fabulous find! We went back twice during our visit. Wish we had them where we live.

Boo koos has to be the world's best burgers. I've travelled a fair bit to the US, Australia, South Africa, UK, India, South East Asia and so have the rest of my family and we all unanimously decided this is the best burger place! The burgers were hand made and so no preserved taste and the meat was so fresh. We wanted to have all our meals for 2cdats there but finally had 2 out of 5 and decided to try other places lol 😆 The best part is they have Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegetarian menus! I was just sooo thrilled to get an awesome #Gluten Free Burger and my sister a # GF and #Dairy Free burger!

Visited Boo Koos as a family of three on Monday 22nd April at 3.30pm after a recommendation. Greeted by a polite lady from behind the bar area who showed us to a table. There were only two couples dining and so after perusing the menu and waiting ten minutes my wife checked with the said lady about ordering drinks. She was informed it was table service. After waiting a further ten minutes we got up to leave informing the table waitress , who had been chatting with friends, that we were fed up with the abysmal service. This is not the first one star review about the dreadful service at Boo Koos and I have no doubt it won't be the last. That is unless somebody in authority takes appropriate action.

Asked if they had space for 3, was told to wait in the window. As we waited for 10 minutes another group of 3 came in without a reservation and was immediately seated. Left and went up the road to spoons and was served immediately

Absolutely shocking. Waited 30 minutes and still notcocktail the first 2 I ordered they had no ingredients. Asked how long they were going to be they were finally getting made 30 mins in . Asked how long our food was going be another 40 minutes. Staff rude and not got a clue how to be polite . Was time

Cornwall is a busy place and the restaurant was full when we got there. I would make a reservation. That being said, the young woman working there was very kind and got us a seat. They bring free nachos. We’re from the United States and so we were blown away by all the Texas memorabilia. Apparently the owner is from Texas. Burgers were amazing. The pulled pork sandwich was great. they have a wide variety of shakes. Fun atmosphere. We were really happy.

Amazing!! If I could eat here for every meal I would, the service is wonderful, the atmosphere is like no where i’ve been before and the food is off the scale! I’m already dreaming about my next visit and my daughter is so excited to come back!

Majority of food 5/5, unfortunately we ordered 2 x the ribs, and ribs seemed over cooked and dry, not as tender as expected. Chicken burger was moist and flavoursome 5/5 Guiness burger ( my choice) was amazing, juicy and so so tasty 10/5 Milkshakes 5/5 Only downfall was ribs..

Shockingly awful service. Came here without a booking. Admittedly on a Saturday night. However despite being 70% full we managed to get a table at the window/stool area. There were approximately 10-13 staff walking around, no one front of house to greet customers. No order of place at all. Chaotic and totally disorganised. We ordered and had our food. The food is good and credit to the kitchen staff. But the experience of dining was poor. Very little acknowledgement of customers. No one ready to take orders despite a plethora of staff behind the counter. No one to check in on you after receiving your order. Staff seem apathetic, vague, disinterested. I complained to the duty manager. No apology. Lots of excuses about training new staff who are all students and how the manager of the Helston restaurant had left so the Falmouth manager was covering. What a load of tosh. The food is good but the service is shockingly poor. Often I see reviews where people slate a restaurant online but seldom raise an issue at the time. Well, I did that. Raised the issue at the time. What did I get? Excuses and no apology. If I'm looking to have a burger again in Falmouth, Bookoos would be a final choice. You get better service at Whetherspoons. Now that's saying something.

Great food. Staff friendly although got overcharged for drinks which got sorted and food was forgotten a couple of times but didn't detract from the evening.

Great food, fantastic service, obviously had to book, but you get a lengthy slot, more than enough time to enjoy your meal without feeling rushed. Our first time and we'll certainly be going again. I highly recommend

We have visited Boo Koos many times and the food is consistently good - unfortunately the service isn't so reliable. The staff have never been rude so-to-speak, but the service is mostly blasé and extremely slow. We're often left feeling like we've been forgotten about... It's a shame because the food really is great.

This is a massive family favourite for us, always get excellent service, really nice selection on drinks and food. Atmosphere is quite mellow but amazingly comfortable, food always served nicely and good temperature, never feel rushed so yes a huge recommendation any day or time of the week.

Lovely American style restaurant, and actual REAL Tex Mex, because the owner is Mexican, from Texas! Great atmosphere, delicious food, generous portions, in true American style, and the decor is lovely. Very friendly and attentive service, and they cater for gluten free. My son is at university in Falmouth, so I will definitely be heading back for some more delicious enchiladas 😋

Perhaps we're not the target audience here but Boo Koos didn't hit the spot. The menu looks good, and I like the concept, but for us the reality was that we received a lot of meat (too much really), which was covered in sauce, but not a whole lot else. So it's not that the meat wasn't tasty, because it was pretty good, and the side dishes like the tater tots and the cornbread were fine. But somehow none of it was quite good enough to finish. Which isn't quite what you want when you go out for a meal. Maybe we were missing something? Still at least the cocktails went down well!

Doesn’t deserve the ratings. Or maybe it’s mostly rated by teenagers who like the ambiance. Vibe is cool and I’m sure the shakes are nice. But the burger was pretty gross and I’m sick now. Probably mild food poisoning. I mean, that’s the only thing I ate today so it can only be that.

Excellent food,drinks, service. Value for money is excellent, 2 cocktails for £8 Mon - Fri 5 - 7.

An all round good experience at Boo Koos in Falmouth. The atmosphere of the restaurant is brilliant with its US diner style decor. The background music was also a bonus. The staff were very friendly and very quick to serve us. The food was good but not perfect. The portions were huge and the sheer choice of drinks was astounding. Sadly I found my burger to be rather dry. Although it came with a sauce this didn’t really help. The flavour was great and they did some incredible onion rings. I’d certainly recommend this US style burger restaurant if you’re in the Falmouth area.

Had a meal for four with drinks for less than £80. 3 of the four meals weren't on plates which I found a bit odd, rather they were served on random trays with grease proof paper on, but I guess that saves on washing up. Food was very tasty though, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lot of background noise though making it hard to hear the family...

Bookoos has been my favourite restaurant for years, biggest and tastiest burgers around. Although pricey you definitely get what you pay for

A vibrant and eclectic space. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Portion sizes are always great! We had the country fried chicken which was really tasty, the peppercorn gravy wasn’t too over powering and added the perfect amount of creaminess to the dish.

Such a gem, stumbled upon this place whilst browsing through Falmouth. The staff were really pleasant and helpful, bringing out a high chair and dog bowl for our toddler and dog. The food was amazing, burgers to die for and milkshakes heavenly.

It's OK, children enjoy it, I have been 5 or 6 times mainly as nagged by the children to go. I have unfortunately on every occasion found the service very lacking. Equally I have not had one order come out in less than 30mins on any occasion. This included what I would call off-peak times as well. The burger are OK, the chilli on the last visit was very salty but this may have been a one-off. It could have been slow cooked with a knorr or such like stock which would concentrate the salt and then seasoned without tasting. The milkshakes are a hit which is why the children want to go and the setting is nice.

Went at a quiet time but think the place would be buzzing when full. The food we had was amazing but bit on the expensive side. Would I return 100% yes 👍

Good restaurant, a lot of choice for vegetarians as there is a vegetarian menu 🙂
