Laxmi in Kingston upon Thames

One of the worst Indian/Sri Lankan restaurants ever. Terrible food...clear signs of the food was prepared long back (at-least a day back). What a bad experience for the money paid...Please avoid at any cost. Those who rated more than "Terrible" probably never had a Indian/Sri Lankan food before. Never going to visit this again.

Dropped in for a take away lunch. Fresh hot crispy vegetable samosas and a vegetable biriyani packed with flavours and spices. Thank you.

I had bad experiences on my last visit. Food wasnt great, Service wasnt that great, they dont know what is on the Food Menu. I been refused to do Take away due to shop was busy. But i seen others were doing. Final thing is been charged £43 extra on my bill. Terible experience and will not go again.

I can't work out what to make of Laxmi; the food is cheap, the flavours reasonable, but it looks and feels like a bar rather than a restaurant. I wonder if it's trying to be all things to all people. It doesn't feel instantly welcoming, but if you're after a quick fill, the £6 lunchtime takeaway is very good value.

A place where you literally get everything at a reasonable price. The place is quiet and nice, the food are absolutely awesome, authentic indian and sri lankan dishes! And beers are surprisingly cheap! Plus, the staff are friendly and attentive. Very kind staff they got which make it even better. Love this place. They have eat all you can buffet every weekend with options from curries and vegetarian. I highly recommend this place. (Was too overwhelmed by the food that I didn’t take photos before I ate🤣)

Terrible food. Found a non veg piece in a veg biryani , looks like they added left over of other food. Also there was a small piece of stone in the food. Avoid this place as it is very unhygienic and not reliable at all.

Brillant and excellent food my family and we all enjoyed the evening very much. The staff all friendly,

me and my friend went there for lunch, we ordered chilli fish as starter and its never came came and its came with the main course and the main course divellledl lamb and the starter are the same ingredients and filled with tomato sauce. Biriyani was just a dish nothing more than any thing! I had a 3 days stomach upset after the food and my friend had the same. never go to this place even I have a free meal! .

All I can say is what a painful experience of such slow service and they claimed they were busy- 5 tables !!!! I really cannot believe how slow the service was. Over an hour and we still had not received the main course and even over half an hour to take our order. We really should have walked out but we were so hungry.

My daughter, son in law & myself were visiting the area & came upon this good restaurant, in fact we went twice. The first time I had paneer masala & the second time paneer biryani, both delicious.my daughter had chilli paneer & chicken & lamb biryani, my son in law had mutton curry. They both said it was very good. Quite a good atmosphere as well & the staff very friendly. All these meals were very reasonably priced.

Friendly service and nice food, very good bar and I love the bright ambiance. Good food but little expensive then other south indian restaurant around that area. Highly recommended

Clean and modern much needed venue in Tolworth. Great food and well presented. Had the chicken curry which was quite spicy from the get go! Would definitely visit again

Dropped by for lunch alone, had a starter and main and 1 drink. The food was tasty. The naan was plentiful!

I stayed in the Tolworth Travelodge recently on a business trip. Central London is far too expensive during peak summer months and this area represented much better value with good transport connections. When on business, all I need is a good place to eat and drink in order to break up the tedium associated with travelling and staying in hotels when on my own. The Laxmi Bar and Restaurant was perfect in this regard! The food was delicious (I particularly liked the Vegetable Thali) and the service and general ambiance was very good. It certainly made my stay in Tolworth that much more enjoyable and will be a factor in determining my future hotel bookings. Tolworth is indeed fortunate to have this establishment on the Broadway.
