In an old mill building with some other shops and a courtyard. Had coffee which was well made and tasted good. Was a bit empty when we went.

We had specials board soups served with white or brown bread. Hot & nourishing. Very popular place with visitors to the surrounding mills. Clean & with cheerful staff who seem to love their work. We also had a homemade sausage roll & a millionaire shortbread with a lovely pot of tea. All at reasonable cost. Thank you.

Terrible experience which actually left me feeling rather upset. She literally shouted at me for trying place an order when she was “already too busy”. I can’t imagine the place will be busy for much longer if that’s how customers get treated.

Four of us called in for lunch about 2pm on the 4th January. We asked if they were serving sandwiches to be told they hadn’t much left. ( didn’t offer to tell us what they had on offer) Then asked if they could do an omelette, they couldn’t as the microwave had been cleaned. We were left standing in the doorway. It seemed that the two ladies were more interested in taking the Christmas decorations down. We have never been made to feel so unwelcome. We left and went over the road to Morrisons cafe.

Not the friendliest welcome. In fact the woman serving needs a fortnights training how to interact with customers. Smile with a grimace. Told we needed to wait 20mins a for coffee and cake because they operate on 2 staff….not my problem to be honest Drinks arrived…one in a very dirty glass which was sent straight back. The lemon drizzle cake was lovely and the cheese and Biscuit’s was beautifully presented and delicious. The latte coffee was very hot…much better than costa. What a shame the experience was spoilt by an obnoxious server. Shame on you

This exquisite little gem 💎 is worth a visit and time of anyone in the area the decor and ambiance of a lovely relaxing eatery. Parking available and delicious items on the menu to tempt anyone. We ordered the special of BLT and a coffee or tea ! What a delightful surprise, good portion size presentation was great and the best tasting sarnie for a long time. £4.25 what a bargain They also offer cake and drink specials after 3pm in the day £3.50 coffee and tea and slice of cake. That’s not all the staff are super friendly and just delightful to talk with. Will definitely be back for the cake at some point. Looking forward to seeing the 2 ladies who both had time to talk whilst serving us and keeping things clean and tidy. Trust me you wont be disappointed the prices are brilliant. Brilliant place to visit and check out the antique centre at the side.

We found the cafe by chance on a visit to the antiques emporium. I had a toasted panini with side salad. The salad was massive. Excellent value. My tea was free as an offer of the day. China cup and saucer, with a teapot! The decor was very modern in an old mill sort of way. Settees, cushions as well as proper tables and chairs. We keep going back, even though we live about 12 miles away. Staff are very friendly and cheerful.

Not the most friendly or welcoming of staff to be honest, never understand why some staff make customers feel like they’re a burden visiting their shops. However, the coffee was nice and the after 3pm deals for a hot drink and a slice of cake for £3.50 was good. It was ok, but probably wouldn’t return.

Nice quiet little place despite being right near big supermarkets. I note some other customers have said the staff are not very friendly; I've had that experience here a while ago but today they were grand. A decent coffee and a very nice chocolate orange slice, which is not something I've seen elsewhere. Well worth a visit rather than going off to the busy streets to yet another identical chain place!

I ordered a cup of tea with a cake, there was a red lipstick mark on the cup and when brought to attention of the person who served me there was no apology and I was made to feel very uncomfortable. The person who served me was very impolite and had no regard for the fact that I was given an unwashed cup. I will not be returning to this establishment nor would I recommend to any of my friends or family as this is clearly below hygiene standards.

Tucked away with friendly staff and made to order food. Very reasonably priced too :) Personal favourite: the cheesy beans on toast - lovely!

Pleasant enough well laid out and clean coffee shop, service was okay but a bit of a smile would not go amiss, coffee and scone were fine.

Shopping is hard work, so instantly available refreshments do always help, don't they? This courtyard cafe is at ground level, immediately adjacent to the mill complex's courtyard. Imagine having your coffee, gazing out to the original flag-stones of the courtyard - you can almost see the men, women and children of history making their way across this area during their working day.Friendly and helpful staff greet you on arrival, menus on the wall boards and tables offer a wide range of foods, from jackets, panninis, sandwiches, soup, to salads and omelettes too. Then choose your fillings for the relevant items above - it will take several visits to work through these. We chose goats cheese and onion relish omelette and boy it was good. Came with a big, freshly cut salad. The pot of tea did arrive a little earlier which is standard form. The assistants were both cheerful and keen to provide good service. All went smoothly today and I look forward to going again. It would achieve 5* for me if the tables were wiped down thoroughly after each customer. I would also ask that the forks are stored tines down for better hygiene purposes - less handling as they are collected by the customers.Do make sure you pay enough here - we were almost undercharged by one whole meal due to sticking buttons on the till. Everything is very reasonably priced. All good - all lovely. Serves the surrounding shopping complex more than adequately.Toilets are on the first floor of the main retail outlet, lift access available.

Warm, welcoming and popular pub. We had the lamb's liver dish from the new menu, which was delicious. Followed by sticky toffee pudding, and a dark chocolate Basque cheesecake. Fantastic value menu for the quality of the food, not to mention the first rate service. Highly recommended.

First visit to the Jug and Glass under new ownership and wow what a difference. The pub still has its old charm inside, traditional bar, log fires with a facelift outside. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive and it was lovely to see Jake the owner helping out too. We all enjoyed a proper traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings, extra gravy and stuffing. We couldn’t fault any of it. All freshly cooked and served. Family and dog friendly with a good mix of locals and new customers. We will definitely visit again.

Don't be fooled by the dog friendly tag on the board at the front. With the minimum of at least water for a dog unfortunately there is no sign of. Coupled with sharp flint on the floor means any dog not comfortable. Call me picky but Bank Holiday would see most of the pumps available. Sadly the opposite applies here. Most pumps have a sad glass covering them indicating "that ones off". Could be really nice with a little thought. Better pubs closer that are actually dog friendly & you stand a chance of actually drinking a beer that you want.
