Slow service and an odd atmosphere

Think some of these reviews and photos are from the seven dials location. This new bar has opened quite recently (July 2023 I think?) and was good! Cocktails very tasty, liking the 1920s prohibition vibe. It was quiet when I was there (very early in the evening) but imagine it would be pretty awesome and full of life when it is busy! Will be returning.

Such a good vibe! Loads of comfy armchairs and prohibition decor. L'Atelier Du Vin Seven Dials also has a picturesque private garden out the back with tables and chairs. It mostly serves cocktails and wines. I'm not a big fan of the cocktails on their menu, but the barman told me you can order practically anything and they'll make it!

Had a great wine tasting here. We were a group of 12 and it worked really well and it was really fun. To be honest half of the 6 wines we tried were not that great but we did buy some after the tasting that were delicious! But 5 stars for the venue, nice vibe and the chap who did our tasting 👌

Gorgeous little vintage wine and gin bar. Staff were super helpful and friendly, cocktails are delicious, as was the buffet. Great job guys and gals! Thank you!

A well furnished establishment which is great for a cozy snack or meal. Not cheap so don't go there if looking for a basic drink, but it has a nice atmosphere. The music they played was not to my taste, it was all 1940's, but it would appeal to others probably.

Cosy with a great atmosphere. Didn't fancy anything on the menu so the bartender made me a custom cocktail!

Great selection of wine but no real descriptions, food is okay. We would have stayed longer but it was really tough to catch anyone's attention to order.

This was the first restaurant I chose to visit during lockdown #3 (outdoor dining allowed). I visited with my parents for a nice sunny lunch and we enjoyed delicious wine, tasty food (including a flavourful vegan sharing platter) and an overall nice experience. We brought our dog with us and she loved the treats she was given and all the attention! Food was great. Wine was tasty. Atmosphere was relaxed. Service was very good. Not much I more I could ask for! I will be visiting again for some champagne with my partner soon.

I had a lovely Monday catch up with a good friend which was delightfully lubricated with champagne, wine and Sazerac cocktails, all of which were delicious and made us very merry. I would recommend L'Atelier Du Vin to anyone that enjoys excellent wine and excellent service in an attractive, comfortable setting. I consider myself very lucky that it is my local!

Booked in advance for a moderately large party putting down a deposit. Half of which turned up late so only a 6 person group ended up ordering food - mostly being bread and cheese. We then all starved for over an hour, despite the waitor pro-actively letting me know it was nearly ready atleast twice. Wine I picked out was okay. Food, once it came, was superb but was hungrily forced down as we were late for the next reservation. Waitor let the manager know I wasn't pleased about the wait. They knocked £15 off the bill - which is less then the presumably discretionary & added to the bill, tip. And gave me a choice for a complimentary liquer for my bday - I suggested it might be an idea to let the few remaining guests also have one, as they went hungry alongside me, "can't do that". They'd forgotten, and I didn't notice, the deposit wasn't knocked off the bill. They rang me promptly after I left & resolved. Only 3 stars as I cannot understand why bread & cheese took over an hour for a pre-booked group and starving wasn't part of my Birthday plans. But I would still give it a second go!

A really lovely bar to spend a happy evening (or a happy lunchtime, or, if you're still furloughed - why not do both?) Great decor and atmosphere, lovely helpful staff and of course an excellent selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. The food platters round things off nicely. Two extra bonuses - a great 'hidden' garden to sit out in, and the location: the Seven Dials area of Brighton has got a lovely 'village' feel (if you see what I mean) and is full of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants.

Great cocktails and a vast collection of wines. The food offerings could be greatly improved with a wider menu and that would markedly increase the attraction of this place. A French bar not offering bread with meat/cheese for example is a bit of an odd one.

Lovely intimate new wine/cocktail bar with small but well chosen food menu with a range of platters to share plus the odd more hearty dish : Boeuf Bourguignon. This has to be the best place in Seven dials for a conversation with friends, comfy cosy chairs and low key music mean you can settle in for a chat. Huge wine list - they clearly have a very good cellar - with decent house wine from £23. Cocktails also a speciality - great addition to the area!
