Last Shift Inn in South Lanarkshire

Visited today for the first which is a suprise as we don’t live far away but have just never thought of going, big mistake!!! Great experience firstly a very welcoming couple greeted us and we were shown to our seats it quickly became apparent nothing was a problem here , very willing to please you with anything required . The food was great we had the satay starter and my friend a soup , delicious and cooked fresh ! I had fish & chips for main and my friend the veggie curry . They offered to alter meal for my friend as she was on a diet and done the same with her cheese board adding extra fruit instead of crackers super accommodating !!!! We then had coffee which again I like weak my friend liked strong we were given a cafeteria each to our taste !!! My friend and I stayed the full afternoon and we were made welcome not told to go at any point and we had a terrific catch up !! Over all 10/10 customer service hard to find these days !!! I’ll be back shortly !!!! Thank you the last Shift !

What a find! Very welcoming and a friendly atmosphere adds to the experience. The background music was fantastic. Not too loud that it hindered conversation but added to the ambiance. Now for the food…perfect. Good sized portions, good choice on the menu and cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend and will most certainly be returning

This is our local and we visit at least twice a month. Marcus is always friendly and welcoming and knows the food/bar menu very well. Jenny produces tasty and filling dishes and will adapt them for any allergies/ intolerances etc. The food is always cooked and presented really nicely and the atmosphere is modern but has lovely old stonework and beams. Great supply of keg beers and other alcohol drinks and the homemade lemonade is my favourite. Menu is varied and there’s something for everyone and changes with the seasons. There’s also a special board and Sunday roast which is very filling. Well worth a visit but make sure you book as it’s a small kitchen.

Had a lovely meal here with my husband. I Had breaded chicken with mushroom sauce. My husband had haggis puff rolls to start then gnocchi following by plumb & apple crumble. Staff were lovely and service good. Will definitely return .

As now a local in the area found the last shift to be the ideal spot for high quality food at a reasonable price with good friendly service and a nice enviroment to go for a drink especially if you like very, very, loud "head banging" music from a unmonitored playlist of someones personal choice!!! Aswell as a feature fire in the bar which is in no way welcoming. What a waste of a superb environment with as stated great food and friendly service. Obviously thats what they focussed on and not customers comfort levels. Will keep going due to our convenience but visits will be brief!!!

Brilliant food and drink and customer care was second to none. Great pub atmosphere and an altogether brilliant night out. Had the fishcake starter and Mediterranean chicken special. My wife and myself dined at the Last Shift last night,there were a good few people dinning,The waitress started off with getting our drinks order wrong not once but twice,My wife's starter was the spicy Prawns they arrived just warm,I had the mushrooms they were fine,Our main courses were I had the stake pie,plenty of it and it was fine nice and hot,my wife had roast of the day plenty of it but it was tasteless,I did try it,the meat was look warm but covered in gravy which made it feel hot.When asked how our meal was my wife said it was ok. I asked for the bill when it arrived I take it that the lady was the owner/manager,she asked what was wrong my wife told her and she said she would check,When I was about to pay the Manager I thought we would get something off our bill but all she said was she had tasted the beef and it was fine,I disagreed with her but all she said was we agreed to differ that's not what we wanted to hear.We will not be back!!!! No apology nothing not even a sorry.

Would highly recommend you dining here, food was excellent and the service was great, they had rather a large party on Saturday night and still they managed to keep everyone else happy, I would recommend the macaroni cheese yum yum. You won't be disappointed.

This is a cute little restaurant & pub in the small town of Brae Head. The food is good, service fair, but the clientele great (really friendly). The owners will make certain that you are comfortable and will try to meet your needs. Make certain to call for a reservation because they can get fairly busy!

Confirm ahead re opening times as setting is in rural Lanarkshire,and is not open every night. Lovely atmospheric restaurant, good food, affordable prices. If this was in the city centre it would be fully booked every night.Very enjoyable night!
