Las Iguanas - Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth

Kelly and Callum were our hosts. We came in on a Monday for my birthday and they were so accommodating and kind. Every need we wanted was met and I even was given a birthday Caipirinha Board which was a lovely surprise. Thank you so much guys you really made my day that little bit better😁

We love it here!! For most special occasions my friends and I will land on booking at Las Iguanas in Pompey, and every time the service bangs - Miguel’s been looking after us this time and so has Eric, and we’ve seen them on other occasions too, they’re both so sweet and unreal at their job x

The Staff worked like Trojan’s to deliver the needs of Customers . Management should be taken to task as not enough Staff to cope with a busy Lunch time on the 30/10

We were served by Ana. She was so lovely and very speedy with our drinks. Throughout the 2 hours for our bottomless brunch she made sure we were settled and sorted and even spoke to us a bit in Spanish! Thank you Ana.

Great food, fantastic service from Brooke. Would definitely recommend the Mexican rice bowl. Will definitely come again.

Great food and service in a lovely, comfortable atmosphere. The Taste of Mexico meat option was really tasty as were the chicken fajitas which my partner chose. Good portion sizes and reasonable prices. Our waiter, Dave, couldn't have been more helpful to the point of turning off the air conditioning vent above our table after noticing how chilly it was himself. We will definitely be back, and thoroughly recommend others to give it a try.

Went there on a Saturday evening as a party of 11 . Seated quickly and everyone ordered on the app - unfortunately the meals didn’t come out together and were spread over an hour! Although we ordered and paid at the table there was a problem with the bill. We paid the extortionate service charge and still they were quibbling over £5! Food was good but wouldn’t go there again due to attitude

Ella made this experience very nice, even though it was busy and she was under pressure she was still very kind and attentive

We booked up for a bottomless brunch. The food was fresh and tasty. Our waiter Dave remembered who ordered which drinks and was always ready to take more drinks orders when needed. We were very well looked after and would recommend.

Dave is the REAL star of the show! He is a bundle of joy and great to have as your waiter if you’re ever coming here ask for Dave!!

Lovely server called ‘Alex’, was so helpful and friendly. Great food, fab vegan and veggie options, as a vegan I don’t often have to variety to choose but here I did. Also ‘Brooke’ was lovely too.

We were lucky enough to have Dave as our waiter, absolute bundle of joy who made us laugh the whole time. He was the real star of the show and was super upbeat and welcoming. The drinks were delicious as well.

A rainy wednesday return to Portsmouth, felt a bit tired after hitting the shops so came for a coffee to perk us up. Sean served us and was bright and friendly. `We like this place, pleased that it hasn't changed and we weren't rushed.

I won’t lie, many of the mains are mediocre but starters are always poor, bland, tiny portions and over priced :( always always regret it. Only thing I never regret buying are the nachos but then again...it’s not hard to make nachos taste good.Had the chicken enchilada today and it had 4/5 small pieces of chicken inside. Deffo would not go again unless my memory serves me incorrect. My waiter was very sweet tho xo

Miserable Friday in April for lunch but we had Charlie serve us who brighten the whole experience. Food was great, cocktails even better. Definitely recommend for lunch/dinner. Just wrap up warm!!

Went out with friends for a girlie bottomless brunch - upgraded to cocktails for free as it was a Sunday. Charlie our waitress was so warm and welcoming, very quick and efficient with taking our orders and serving the cocktails. The cocktails were delicious as per the normal standard of Las Iguanas, food orders were out hot and with reasonable spaces in between to enjoy our drinks and chat without feeling rushed as there was a 1.5hr time limit. Would definitely recommend and 100% going back!!

Due to Lockdown our celebratory holiday to Budapest was cancelled and our daughter suggested we go to Las Iguanas at Gunwharf instead. Despite the blustery weather and cold wind, Our waiter Gui was so friendly and attentive and made sure we had a wonderful time. On arrival we were given a complementary glass of prosecco each so we could toast our special day which was a lovely touch.The food was amazing. We both had burgers which were fantastic. The cocktails were delicious and we certainly will remember our lockdown Pearl Wedding Anniversary for a long time.

We came for bottomless brunch on Sunday 2nd May and at this point you could only dine and drink outdoors.The weather wasn't great but Charlie our server was amazing and was super speedy with topping our drinks up and so helpful and even gave us ponchos each incase it rained.Would 100% recommend and hope we get Charlie serving us on our return visit!

I had a wonderful time out last weekend with my mum for some cocktails, so nice to be out the house again. We had Sean as our waiter and he was really attentive and was so chatty it was a brilliant addition to the evening. Food and drinks were just as good as I remember but it does seem like the servers are overworked and I hope the management are treating them well! Thank you Sean for a wonderful evening you cheered us up massively :) hope to see you again soon!

Booked in advance - came Wednesday evening 6.30pm ish.Vegetarian beetroot burger was really nice and side chips.Zombie cocktail nothing special but decent large size. Possibly the biggest they do.Churros portion for dessert was a little scant for the price, only three..five would have been more generous.When we arrived we were told they were out of mushrooms - slightly surprised as it was early evening and the number of booked tables would have been known. Shop selling mushrooms within 100m.A little trouble getting the bill and ended up walking to the door to pay as staff were huddled inside.Overall a pleasant experience considering the circumstances.

Me & my friend had a bottomless brunch at 3:30 yesterday afternoon and it was the fastest bottomless brunch service I’ve ever had! The woman serving us was amazing, brought our food out so quickly and it was delicious. Made sure that we were served our drinks very quickly and was lovely and easy to talk to. Would highly recommend doing a bottomless brunch there, the cocktails were very aesthetically pleasing & delicious.

Gui was super nice and made my birthday evening so much better! Really attentive and so friendly! I’d 100% recommend going here for an occasion! Loads of veggie options which is fab for picky veggies like me! 10/10

If I was basing this solely on food it would be a 0 and service a 4. Charlie did her upmost to serve us well and she did but could tell that the restaurant was understaffed as everyone seemed a little bit stressed- expected after lock down but made us feel a little bit uncomfortable at some times and not wanting to ask for another drink. Drinks were flowing as best as possible. Food was awful. I took one bite from my burrito and didn’t take another, the plate was then taken away nearly the same as it was put down with no questions asked. The salad looked very sorry for itself and should not have been kept in the kitchen, let alone served. First time going to Las Iguanas and will be my last.

The first night out me and my 2 friends had been able to have since way before the lockdown and it was perfect. We had Gui and Sean as our waiters and they kept our drinks filled and our bellies full with the delicious tapas. I can't wait to come back again and hopefully have the same waiters!!
