Las Iguanas Basingstoke in Basingstoke and Deane

Returned today as a couple, in the past a group of 5 or more. I was disappointed with the chicken fajita stack. 4 small tortillas in the dish but only used 3 as there was minimal chicken meat and loads of peppers which I didn’t use. I had more in my Brazillian chicken starter. Myself and friends have been using Las Iguanas for a few years- this food portioning was very disappointing. Service was good .

A group of 4 of us came for bottomless brunch and we had a brilliant evening. David was so attentive and friendly, and the food and drinks were lovely!

Waiter very friendly and only marked as 2 star because of that. Floor seem to work very hard. Food arrived cold, tasteless and very disappointing. Meals are not value for money Very poor experience.

me and my friend came here for bottomless brunch, they have a great selection of drinks and really nice food, our servers gabriel and artur were so kind to us and were super attentive

Great food here, for takeaway you just need to do better and take more care. We always seem to have some issue with our order, examples: - missing items (most common) - not packaged properly - dips spilling into food - very small portion sizes, picture attached of a recent chilli that was half the normal size and not good enough for £15

Food was great and service was very good and nothing was to much when asking them to do something. Highly recommend this place.

were asked if this was our first visit replied yes shown to a table lady explained what they offered to eat and drink. Young man to the drinks order, came back five minutes later took the food order. Twenty mins later no drinks had be given to us i spotted one of our drinks had been sitting on the bar for some time then the soft drink i ordered was put on the bar only for the lad who had taken our order to put a straw in the drink and took himself and the drink out the back. Another twenty mins or so lapsed no sign or food or drinks i went to the counter and spoke to the lady who showed us to our table said we hadnt had any drinks let alone food had been in the premises for 45 mins she asked me what table i said we were leaving no apology strange way to treat 1st time customers in the hospitality business we wont be returning and i woulnt recommend the service, wouldnt know about the food as we were never served anything all in all an awful experience.

Such a great experience! Jess was fantastic and exceptionally attentive throughout. A brilliant variety, would highly recommend.

Went for a meal for my wife’s birthday. Was greeted and seated without any fuss. Then had to wait 45 min before anyone came and asked if we wanted drinks never mind food. We did order food at the same time as drinks. Drinks took another 20 mins to arrive. The starter arrived another 15 minutes later so almost an hour and a half after we were seated. When the mains arrived my main was lukewarm but tasted ok. Wife said hers was very tasty and was hot. Son had a burger which he enjoyed. Once I asked for the bill it took another 15-20 minutes to get that. Now I never like to be rushed when eating out but to be sat for 45 minutes without even a drink or being asked if you want a drink is far too long.

Was really looking forward to dinner tonight but not only was there puke all over the front door to the restaurant but no one who worked there seemed to care.

Food service and drinks were great, had a nice dinner out and can’t thank the staff enough, they are lovely. Great for a meal or just some cocktails. It was quite busy for a week night so it was a nice atmosphere too

Food was good, tasty. Portion sizes were pretty good too. Service was rubbish, so slow. In fact kids wanted desert however it took that long to get someone back to the table after taking our plates. I just asked for the bill. Then the only waitress that engaged in any half decent conversation was the one that took my card.

The drinks were half full, we also couldnt keep our table longer than 2hrs even thought we were willing to buy more drinks and there wasnt going to be anyone else coming in as the restaurant was half full

Reception as we walked in was a little cold, upstairs as we were getting served the 2 staff memebers were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable (Sean and sinead were the 2 welcoming workers)

Visited las igunas tonight was a bit worried about eating out due to Covid but felt safe and received amazing service from Tamara who recommended us tapas to start which were excellent. Fast service and polite helpful staff, will defiantly be visiting again.

I was under the illusion that we can only eat in an indoor setting with people from our own household. Well I have to say that the big groups of young lads and the many young girl couples are highly unlikely to be living together. For those of us following the rules, it was very disheartening that the rules didn’t seem important.

Excellent food, very slow service. We were told when we arrived we had 1 1/2 hours at our table which we were fine with but taking our order and then serving each course took forever... it took over 15 minutes from finishing to payment!! I was very glad to be asked “are you from the same household?” at the door. Hygiene and spacing seemed to be good but we were served by multiple servers. Food was really tasty, lots to choose from for GF and veggie options. Absolutely love this place, just wish they could speed up the service!

Tamara gave us great service, she was always there when we needed her and she was more than happy to help! We enjoyed all our food especially the banana sticky toffee pudding!!

Very impressed for our first time! Chilli con carne was lovely and the churros were brilliant. Paid 75p for an extra pot of sauce to go with them as well which was incredible. The staff were lovely and welcoming also. We will be back again!

Las Iguanas is our favourite restaurant and this one is always great! The staff are always super friendly and the food is amazing. Today we had Tamara and she was lovely and made sure we were taken care of.

We visited for a birthday meal and received brilliant table service from Tamara, she was very welcoming and soon realised we was celebrating a birthday and brought the birthday girl over a free drink. Glad to see that they're following procedures to ensure safety of customers during this crazy time. Cocktails and food were enjoyable. Our waitress was friendly, however kept coming over, so we felt a bit rushed and didn't have time to decide on what we wanted. Towards the end we wanted to order more drinks, at this time the restaurant was quiet and there were plenty of empty tables, but our waitress said we could only stay for a maximum amount of time? Surely you wouldn't want to turn away more income from customers wanting to purchase more, especially with all the companies going bust! This was the only minor thing, otherwise everything was enjoyable. Just something to think about.

A great selection of Latin American food, from Argentine style steaks to Brazilian spiced chicken, all delivered with amazing service from Sofia. Well worth visiting for lunch or an evening out, and if you have the fortune to have Sofia you’ll be well looked after.

I cannot praise Mikey highly enough, he was very courteous and beyond friendly, making us all feel very welcome. If something wasn’t available on the menu he knew alternatives and made a wonderful suggestion for a starter. My other half’s fajitas didn’t come with much chicken on and upon us raising this with him the issue was immediately dealt with and rectified. Thank you Mikey, you made our night so much more enjoyable. We hope to see you again!

We were served by Zoe who was very friendly and accommodating. We did the chicas' cocktail club. Tapas and cocktails were very nice - would recommend the Amarillo chilli and garlic chicken wings and vanilla mai tai, but would avoid the pornstar martini.

Amazing night! Me and my boyfriend came here for our late 2 year anniversary celebration, the cocktails were on point and the food was delicious as always! Not only that there was two stunning waitresses, Sinead and Tamara who were so welcoming and very quick to attend! The manager, Johanna was very sweet and kind and ran the place perfectly! Defiantly coming back! Love you Tamara and Sinead!

Sinead our server was lovely and helpful. Although a reduced menu there was plenty for us all to choose from (2 of our group are vegetarian) and all the food was lovely. We had plenty of cocktails and these were all delicious and tasted fresh with a good alcohol content

Outstanding service and excellent attention to the safety of customer’s. I saw the manager and staff cleaning surfaces and washing their hands regularly. Very impressive!! The food was excellent as well. Really great to get back in there after being locked in at home for so long. Top marks to this place and to the manager.
