I often call here on a circular trip around Salisbury plain. Generous portions, freshly cooked and friendly staff. I reacommend.

A real village pub. Fabulous atmosphere, friendly staff and fantastically managed. Located in the heart of the very pretty village of Ashton Keynes. The food is absolutely delicious, good serving size. A meal here will not dissapoint!

Website showed great promise. Kerbside appeal good, car parking good, service very good ( very helpful and friendly). Strange layout inside as its old building, dining room has no bar. Garden not used to its full potential, only very old tired play equipment for children. Food reasonable, 2 out of 3 meals okay. Third meal of chicken disappointing, either poor quality meat or overcooked or possibly both !!!!! Empty on a nice sunny lunchtime !!! Sorry but would not rush back.

We visited here for a family 80th party. We had the marquee next to the play area which was perfect for the children. The food, service and venue were fantastic and made the birthday so special. Thanks team. Would recommend this to anybody 😊

Won’t be back - coffee ok but woeful miserable staff. A smile, a bit of engagement, even eye contact makes a difference - you want to feel welcome rather than an intruder. Surely when money is tight places realise they might have to go that bit extra to encourage people to go back.

Smashing atmosphere and friendly staff. Tasty veggie burger with fries. I eat there every couple of weeks and always enjoy the experience. Jo McCombe
