food was incredibly late and also cold but the time it arrived not to mention the order was incorrect

Good carvery & standard menu for non carvery choices, giant cakes! They have separate area for families with younger children and play area, although recently there have been children in the adult area.

We love going here compared to the Walnut tree in Southampton as it's quieter and more friendler

Went for my wife’s 65 birthday, there were 18 of us, the staff were very friendly and helpful they moved tables around so that we could all sit together. Went to the bar spoke to a very friendly and helpful lady named Mary who took our order, only cost £150 or thereabouts. The food was lovely and hot. We were there until about 10 pm had a really great time, thank Mary and the team for making our night even better.

I've visited this place for several years now and it's always been a good choice for a meal out with myself and my wife. A varied menu although my choice has always been the carvery with a selection of three roasted meats and a good variety of vegetables. And not forgetting their delicious selection of ice cream and large cakes.

We had to chase up missing items from our order. The waitress was very rude and dismissive.

It’s just a brilliant place to have a carvery roast dinner and plenty of other nice food.

Go here frequently for both breakfast and carvery its our go to restaurant, foods good, prices reasonable but can take quite a while for food to get to you if you order from main menu instead of getting carvery at busy times but thats understandable, the staff are just fab too

Decided to try langbrook on Saturday morning whilst passing. Had buffet breakfast. On the menu the buffet picture shows a juice but wasn't an option Food on counter was a mixed bag. Old scrambled egg, old fried eggs. Sausages should be brown on all.sides but due to batch cooking the tops only get the treatment. Mostly white floppy skinned sausages are not the sign of a good buffet.. hotndrinksnextra served out of pre boiled thermos which means was Luke warm. Forn7.49 plus 1.99 for drink. I wouldn't return

As always really enjoyed this 🤤 very reasonable and if you don’t order it on a Sunday (their busiest day of the week) it arrives hot and ready to eat! Will be ordering again

Came from my grandmothers birthday. Was told that apple crumble wasn’t available for the set menu desert so was offered vanilla ice cream or chocolate ice cream. We vanilla ice cream as my grandmother doesn’t like chocolate. We were told we would receive the desert after our main meal so we believed that we ordered was reserved. When we went to get our carvery and there was only carrot, parsnips, red cabbage and cauliflower cheese for the vegetables which is significantly less than normal. The food was really bland and disappointing. When it came to our deserts, we were told that there is now no vanilla ice cream. I stated that this really isn’t acceptable now as we chose that for our desert so it should have been reserved instead of being given to someone else. They should have a ticket system and better control over their stock so they know when something has been accounted for and gone out of stock. I understand that deliveries can be late and stock can go out of stock but there isn’t an excuse for not being aware of what stock you have and taking note of what people have ordered. We are really disappointed with the experience we have had and will think again before visiting. It’s a shame that it was for my grandmothers birthday as it put a bit of a downer on the occasion as she was really looking forward to coming.

Cheap and cheerful! Carvery was decent but veggie meal ordered from the menu, Bean burger, was very hard.

Decent roast. A small wait to get the meat etc. Plenty of veg and spuds but not much green. No brocoli or peas. Great gravy though!

My Neighbour and I go for a carvery once a fortnight and lovely but this time the carvery chief was so rude to us and hostile he was rushing people and beryrude he was abusive as well it wasn't just us he was rude to either when someone pointed out that he usually gets another 2 slices of meet the reply was taken it or leave it when we were at the gravy and said the gravy had run out he was.like a toddler lossing his dummy we complained to the duty manager who was extremely sorry we asked.for an apology from the he member of staff he refused to speak to us we.have been regular customers once a fortnight for at least six months and Never seen anything like it before it was beyond disgusting the older chef in white we can't fault.but this lads attitude was really disgusting to the point of we heard other people saying they won't be back and a care home who staff attend will not be returning sort him out or retrain him please trying to decide weather to continue coming

I have ben a customer of the Langbrook for many many years, food and staff have always been very pleasant and helpful, but today the person who carves the meat was extremely rude to me, the gravy had completely run out, so the young man went and fetched another one, I moved the empty one to the side leaving room for him to put it down, where upon he raised his voice to me "don't do that, now you've put it in the wrong place," then I put the spoon in the gravy, well you'd have thought ww3 had broken out, he put his hands to his head and said "now it's got all onion in it" there was no gravy or onion left, This incident was reported to the manageress, not by me but another customer who like me thought this staff member was very rude and not necessary. The Manageress came over to me to apologise, but I wanted an apology from the young man, he refused point blank, even after the manageress had asked him to a number of times. There is no need for rudeness and kindness doesn't cost anything. It's such a shame when one member of staff can be so rude and unpleasant. This incident won't stop me from going again as the rest of the staff are very accommodating and pleasant.

First time going to Farmhouse Inn. It was really busy. Staff were very friendly. We were so lucky to get seated at huge table. Food was great. Except the broccolis and cauliflowers were a bit too soggy. I think they were frozen ones. It was only 6.99 for a small plate roast. So I can't complain. Would definitely go there again!

My first visit to Langbrook Farm and wow...lovely Sunday carvery, nice atmosphere and staff. I will certainly be going back. highly recommend you try it...but you need to book.

Pie Dinner was good, but my roast was burnt shrivelled up and barely warm I know you can do better, didn't enjoy the roast dinner at all.

The service and staff are absolutely wonderful. Carvery was so tasty and so much choice. Kids play area is perfectly positioned for our meal and to have the kids playing. Great atmosphere and specific thanks to Nicola for the muddy puddle! Quite the experience! Only marked down the food as their dryers weren’t working, otherwise would have been five stars. 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Food Review: A Disappointing Start to the Day I stopped off at the Farmhouse Inn Hayling or what I hoped would be a good breakfast to kickstart a busy Sunday at work, but unfortunately, my visit fell short of expectations. Arriving early, the place wasn’t busy—I was the second customer served. However, the experience started on the wrong foot with a poor attitude from the male staff member who served me, someone I believe to be the manager. His demeanor was less than welcoming and certainly not what you’d expect in hospitality. While I didn’t address it at the time, it left a sour taste before I even reached the buffet. The Farmhouse Inn has always been a lovely venue, but it’s a reminder that staff make or break an experience. A great location is only as good as the people running it, and this encounter spoiled the atmosphere. Moving on to the food, I opted for the buffet breakfast. Unfortunately, it didn’t redeem the visit. Despite being fresh from the kitchen, the food wasn’t particularly hot. The bacon, folded over to save space in the oven, was undercooked and of mediocre quality—I left it on my plate. The sausages, pale and unappealing, were also disappointing, both in appearance and taste. While the breakfast is reasonably priced at £7.49, I would have gladly paid more for better quality food and service. In hindsight, I wish I’d waited and visited The Barley Mow instead. In summary, this was a letdown in both service and food quality. It’s a shame, as the Farmhouse Inn has potential, but today’s experience left me disappointed and unlikely to return anytime soon.

I booked for a group of 10 including three children - one in high chair. When we actually went, two of our party were unable to make it, so I said we could move to a smaller table. Fraser was very helpful and moving us to a smaller table and finding a high chair. The staff were all very couteous and friendly. We had a good time with family and enjoyed our meals. My wife is on a restricted diet following an operation and the menu was suitable for her needs, something we have found difficult in the past. We shall return, as we do come down from Worcestershire fairly often to visit family and don't know why we have'nt been before.

The carvery was poor. The beef was tough, the carrots, brocoli were hard. The potatoes were leathery. It was very dissapointing.

Good food at good prices. Service is excellent - shout out to Fraser who goes about and beyond, and his Harry Potter sidekick! Softplay is a great addition as so few around nowadays, although it’s very tired and half is money operated.

Awesome staff always tak excellent care of Mr and my family. Going the extra mile to ensure I am seated in the best place for my mobility needs. Food quality is n 11 out of 10 every time we go. All staff go above and beyond the cool of duty.

Great meal with the family. Play area kept the kids entertained and meant we could enjoy ourselves. The food was lovely. I had the beef Yorkie wrap and it was the nicest meal out I've had for ages. Great value too. Four of us had food and drinknfor under £40. Our server Fraser was brilliant, efficient and funny. All other staff were friendly and helpful too.

We came here tonight it was really good food came out in literally 10 minutes and my husband absolutely loved his Yorkie wrap we come here quite frequently. Frasier is extremely helpful to us and always has a chat with my husband and me too. we recommend this place.

*UPDATE 2025* Unfortunately, I wouldn't return. We opted to return due to needing an appropriate venue suitable for fussy eaters and young children on NYD but honestly, we now wish we had gone somewhere else. The place looks very tired and is in desperate need of some TLC and some new furniture. It all looks very worn / well used and just grubby. Two of the seats on the table of 8 chairs had sunk in the middle, one chair the pvc was very badly peeling, the upholstery and carpets look like they need wet and dry vaccuming with some strong detergent or just replacing. The hostess/ seater and the chief server (I assume management) were fantastic and friendly. Another older server was downright miserable (I overheard another table moaning about her lack of customer service / genreal presence and unfortunately when I approached the bar area she was ahead of me and didnt realise I was behind her and could overhear her moaning about our dinner party / issues - I quickly returned to my table to avoid any embarrassment without going to the bar / till). There was quite a wait at the till when one of our party initially ordered, It was, however, very busy being NYD and I think only one till is open for food orders as standard, even during busy times. The carvery did look and smelt great and some of our party, said it was very nice. Unfortunately, one of the meals wasn't as described and was very disappointing (Please see image - this was meant to be a chicken combo - it should have been 2 chicken breasts, chicken strips and a salad with nothing other than leaves due to food intolerance/ allergies- as you can see, this is barely 1 barely breast!) - The miserable server very rudely and abruptly outburst "That's just how it comes" before walking off. There was quite frankly more food, on a children's plate. We decided to leave the premises without the children having their included ice cream, so the member of party whom ordered the chicken combo could go somewhere else to eat an appropriate sized meal - by this point he was miserable and hungry. Quite honestly, it ruined our New Year's Day and wasn't a great end to one of the children's birthdays! *Previous / Orginal Review* Previously been several times for breakfast and carvery which we really enjoyed. There were unfortunately a couple of errors with the order on the most recent occasion (we all opted for something off of the menu as opposed to carvery - there may have been some miscommunication at the till - it was quite busy / loud and didn't seem to be that many staff working - it was however during the festive period when we visted, which we all know can be very stressful and busy for hospitality) the food when served was very nice and hot, however due to the error with the order most of the table had finished eating before a guest had even been served. The play area was clean but some of the play equipment was damaged and I couldn't help but notice some damage (a hole) to the wall behind a games machine which my toddler also found very interesting. Overall it was busy, there were a couple of issues, most staff were friendly. Would we go back - maybe, because the food was very good!

We came for Christmas Day. Was very well organised. Staff very helpful and happy. Very smartly dressed also. Loved the little touches of children having a present (a book) and a kids cracker. A Christmas card on each table. carvery was outstanding. Food was cooked to perfection, was full, nothing was empty or waiting around for anything. Very very impressed and most definitely booking again for Christmas 2025

Four of us came in for a buffet breakfast before heading out to do our Christmas food shop. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Buffet had everything available (I had bacon sausage, beans, scrambled egg, hash browns, mushrooms and toast) and all nice and hot! Fuelled up ready to hit the supermarket. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Thank you xx
