Came with friends for afternoon tea and had a great time. Lovely ambiance in the room with the table cloths, tea pots and the fact that nothing matches makes it quaint. You can only choose 1 sandwich type each, so as there were 5 of us we all chose different fillings and then we had a choice. Scones were lovely with jam and cream and we had 2 each followed by a piece of cake- again just one cake each but it was a massive slice and we all needed to take ours home as we couldn't manage to eat it! Beware that if you ask for a top up of the tea/ coffee you are charged extra. We had a discount flyer but after using it , it appeared that we were all charged individually for our afternoon tea and the discount price for 2 people wasn't applied making the voucher pointless but we'd had a nice time so didnt question it. Would I return- yes I would.

First visit ....so a bit reluctant to jump to conclusions.Clean and tidy place. Had booked for Sunday Lunch . We sat for quite a while and no one approached us to ask if we wanted drinks. We eventually made our meal decisions and called over a waitress. The food arrived in good time but it was unfortunately tepid to cold. Hardly a Sunday "Roast", The beef was so tough we just left it on the plate. No one asked why... or if the meals were OK. The sauces, mustard etc were supplied in little dishes. No spoons. You presumably were expected to slop it out with your knife. To be fair I think this is probably a comfortable afternoon cafe for tea and cakes. The overwhelming majority of reviews are about afternoon teas. And they seem very satisfied with their experiences. Maybe we picked a bad day, but I feel this place is not suited to midday roasts and hot cooked meals. They do seem very popular and comfortable with tea, sandwiches and cakes. I wish them well.

We were greeted and led to the large room upstairs, afternoon tea was served, excellent service wonderful happy people, nothing was too much trouble. The choice of sandwiches was good and very fresh tasty bread with lots of filling. The scones were served warm tasted very fresh with lots of jam and cream, the choice of cakes was very good and very large slices. We were offered boxes to take cake home that was not eaten. Having a room to ourselves was good as we were in a works meeting so nice and private. The tea was serviced in a traditional way. The worst bit was having to leave, my colleagues were very impressed with the cost of the afternoon tea, no one else has such good offer or service.

I visited here with a friend for afternoon tea on 28 Aug. It’s a quaint little place -coloured tablecloth-we were offered a menu -afternoon tea was £14.50 for 2 or £8 per person The gentleman serving advise of the choices for sandwiches on the menu -Tuna, Ham, Egg Mayo, Cheese, Coronation Chicken & Roasted chicken -a good choice however you only get one of these with your a/tea -also only one scone & one piece of cake -there were only 2 cakes in the cabinet to choose a slice from ☹️To add to our tea we ordered another 2 sandwiches (4 rounds) -roasted chicken & egg mayo -on the a/noon tea we had chosen tuna & ham We chose Earl Grey tea as our drink When the stand arrived with sandwiches there were the tuna & ham cut into very nice finger sandwiches. We had asked for white bread for the egg mayo & granary for all the other sandwiches The gentleman brought 2 plates of triangle cut sandwiches with a side salad -cut into quarters -crusts still attached. The bread was lovely however we were expecting them to be delicate finger sandwiches The scones were very flat -they tasted ok As we chose not to have the cake the pieces were put it into 2 separate boxes & bags For the cost of the tea it was good value & the quality was also good. The two gentlemen waiting on were obliging. It was just strange when we had to choose sandwiches out of a good selection but you were only able to choose one filling-not what one expects for an afternoon tea. Other food was being served whilst we were there & it all looked & smelled delicious

Popped to cannock for lunch with family. Headed for Taylors which had closed so used trip advisor to find us somewhere local. This place looked good and with help from a local postman ended up in langans. The entrance was a little confusing but was greeted by a neet polite gentleman who showed us to a table clothed table and we ordered drinks which were of good quality and presented in fine China cups with crock teapot. Selected food from the menu which is all home cooked from fresh. Pie was amazing. Yes its only a pie but tasted so good which came with home made proper chips. And veg. A nice selection of tempting cakes on offer but had to go

We hired Langan’s for my dad’s (surprise) 80th birthday afternoon tea yesterday and it was perfect! The food was top class, an assortment of fresh finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, a slice of cake from the chiller and unlimited tea and coffee. Amy and the rest of the staff were professional and service was excellent. Would highly recommend-please give it a try-you won’t be disappointed.

We had lunch here yesterday. The service was excellent and the food came quickly and was delicious. There is a decent choice of foods, including sandwiches. My partner had a chicken sandwich which had a generous helping of chicken.

It's a lovely cosy place, tucked away from the bustle of the high street. I can see myself returning a number of times to enjoy a slice of cake. The hot chocolate, in particular, is lovely, without needing a touch of sugar.

I visited this absolutely charming cafe with friends for a late breakfast. I had an all day breakfast which was delicious. (The cake stand was mouth-wateringly tempting so I bought one to take home and we shared one at the table. Huge portions and very tasty. The service was excellent, the food was excellent and the price was excellent. I will most definitely be back. Thank you and I wish this cafe all the luck in the world xx.

On arrival here we was warmly welcomed and we found ourselves in a charming homely quant tea room. We had already previously decided that we was going to have the afternoon tea but looking at the menu I was surprised that Langan's also served a variety of freshly cooked meals and snacks which I have every intention of returning to realish these. The afternoon tea was delicious and heavenly and exceptional value for money. I noticed a vegetarian, lactose, gluten free cake and was told that they try to accommodate all. The staff was fabulous and a great time was had by my whole family. I am looking forward to returning to Langan's as soon as possible.

This place is certainly worth a visit. Just out of the centre of Cannock and could be easily missed, which is a shame. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, nothing seems too much trouble. Felt very comfortable visiting alone. Food is all home fresh cooked and beautiful. A good variety of snacks, lightbites, mains as well as Sunday lunch and the cakes are to die for. Afternoon tea looked beautiful too. A quaint little tea room and well worth a visit. You can even buy gift vouchers to treat someone special.

Visited with a friend for afternoon tea. Have to say it’s the first time I was asked to choose what sandwiches we would like and we could only have 1 choice each. Coffee was served in a mug not a china cup. Scones were nice and warm and cake choice was 1 slice from a display rather than multiple small ones.

We live quite locally and had seen this place lots of times before we went in - I wish we'd gone in sooner, it was lovely! The restaurant / tea rooms was very welcoming and the staff were fantastic. We had great food and excellent coffees, presented very nicely and it was piping hot. I was surprised at how full we both were, especially as the bill was £11. We'll be back soon!!

I gave Langan's a second chance after they messed my Mother's 80th birthday up in November. We had requested a room upstairs as one of our party was hard of hearing. The day before someone rang from the restaurant to confirm details which he seemed totally confused about. On arrival we found they had put us downstairs in the main restaurant. After about half an hour they decided to move us upstairs. This meant we had to carry teapots, jugs of milk and half drunk cups of tea upstairs. They hadn't even put the tables out so we had to stand there holding teapots and cups while they sorted the room out. After another half an hour we had to remind them they hadn't taken our order. 40 minutes later we still hadn't been served. The room was also cold with no heating that we could see. I was about to leave when they eventually brought the meals upstairs. My meal of eggs Benedict was barely warm. I felt really sick for several hours after the meal. I cannot recommend this place at all. I've now had 2 bad experiences there and I will never set foot in the place again. There are much better places to eat in the town

I booked lunch at Langan's for my mother's 80th birthday. They had all my contact details but when we got there they were closed! Not so much as a phone call or text message to let us know. To be fair the manager from the head office in Burton was very apologetic when I rang the following date to make a complaint. They've offered us a free lunch but it's not the same . We can't recreate my mother's 80th birthday. I'm giving them another chance with a group of friends later this month so I'll see how it goes......

It's been a while since I've explored Rugeley properly, but I had some free time during a garage appointment so after a quick walk around the town centre I stopped at Savannah's for refreshments. It's only a five minute walk away from many amenities and Kwikfit was only around the corner so it's very conveniently located. The place was quite busy when I came in which is almost always a good sign - it's large too, so it was also easy to find a space. Orders are taken at the counter and handed over to customers, but there were plenty of staff on duty in case you aren't too mobile or you needed assistance. The ladies on the counter were polite and friendly. I went for a pot of tea (two full cups) and a piece of Milkybar cake for just over a fiver which is very reasonable. The cake slice was humongous and I couldn't finish it (not for want of trying!) but it was pleasantly presented with chocolate drizzle and strawberries, plus it was delicious. Tea was good quality. The decor is quite minimalist, but the chairs are comfy and as mentioned before, there's plenty of space and the food was great - these are the main things you'd want from a caff. I'm back in Rugeley in a few weeks' time, if I have some spare time and a space in my belly I'd be happy to drop by again.
