“Starters” Was an assortment of what seemed like Iceland party food. The main courses were bland and also likely frozen. The pizzas are pre made and oven-cooked. The restaurant itself looked more like a bingo hall and was also roasting, it was a hot week but the heat inside was unbearable with not a single fan or window. Overall, waited 45+ minutes for food I could’ve bought in the supermarket and cooked quicker myself.

One of the first out of lockdown, we had half board and were well fed all week and had a good selection of meals to choose from, and catered for the social distancing. Chef Chris and multi tasking Ryan kept us happy.

Dined several times in the restaurant at Landscove Holiday Park. There was a variety of dishes to choose from, service and staff were excellent as well. "Freebies" were offered, a different one for each day which was very welcome.

Visited twice during our weeks stay. On Sunday we had the Carvery which was delicious and good value. On the 2nd visit i had the gammon steak meal which was lovely and a good sized portion, my husband had the Curry which he thoroughly enjoyed. But on both occasions we were kept waiting at the beginning even though the restaurant was nearly empty, that was the only letdown ,when we were served the staff were pleasant.

While staying on the holiday park at landscove we decided to try out the on site restaurant/cafe. If you like high quality fancy food this isn't the place but for what you would expect on a holiday site designed for family's the food is good and a reasonable price we had the burger and sweet potato curry both of which were very enjoyable and got.

Comically terrible. A mixture of FaultyTowers, Bottom and Men in Black (because of the cockroaches, not the entertainment). Rainy day, or saving petrol, the by all means go and take insect repellant.

Same as most people, didn't fancy driving anywhere so decided to eat here. The meal was average, nothing special, not the best value for money

Over priced! £6.00 for 1 sausage, 1 egg, 1 bacon, beans and tomatoes, with a slice of toast and a cup of tea. Then to finish it off it tasted disgusting!

I can't believe how good the food was for a Holiday Resort. I was expecting a poor quality takeaway but instead a fantastic comfortable restraunt that serves hot lovely food. The service was fantastic. The restraunt was homely and welcoming. Would definitely visit again.

On our first evening we decided to try out the restaurant. Room is fairly small and snug, but that didn't detract from the positive experience. Staff were really friendly on arrival, showed us to our table and chatted to the children. The menu options were varied and lengthy - it took us a while to choose! Food was quick to arrive, freshly prepared and hot. Starters and main courses great - pizza too much for my husband and the kids couldn't finish the 'chocolate fudge sharer' dessert between them! Staff were attentive throughout and the evening was great. Only one comment - please, please remove the plastic table cloths! Appreciate that they help with cleaning up, but they pull the restaurant quality down.

Random stop at this cafe - amazing Cornish pasty’s (And we’ve tried a few in the last 2 weeks lol) - decided to go full on and followed up with their cream tea, it didn’t disappoint with a huge portion of jam and cream. Highly Recommended.

Returned after a couple of years to fine a beatifully refurbished bistro overlooking Torbay (ok it was misty) with a extensive menu. My confit duck leg was the best meal I've had for years and the seafood platter was equally good.

We were on an overnight stay and looking for a place to eat. We popped in on the off chance. Staff were very friendly and were able to accommodate us. My husband had the scallops starter and would highly recommend. I had the pate which was very nice. The prawn Thai curry was very nice. Would recommend but advise you book

Came away bitterly disappointed. This was to be a 'milestone ' birthday treat. We were looking forward to a beautiful afternoon tea with a table covered with a crisp, white tablecloth, laidened with delicious teatime treats overlooking Torbay. The experience was nothing like we had hoped for. No one to meet and greet us upon arrival. We were initially ignored then directed, not shown, to a cracked brown formica table 'set' for us with two paper napkins, knives and forks and two glass tumblers, in a corner, away from the main dining area and the window. Eventually, we were approached by Heidi, whom we assumed to be restaurant manager. We asked to be reseated and a table was cleared for us. We were served a pot of tea for two and awaited our food. An hour later, we were still waiting. During that time we witnessed several disgruntled customers complaining. Although there were three waiters present, we did not receive any service or attention from them. After an hour, Heidi reappeared and was very apologetic. She offered us a complimentary glass of Prosecco. Our booking had been for 3pm. By now it was 4.30. The food arrived and like the tea table, was nothing like we were led to expect. The sandwiches were not as described on the menu. Some of the fillings were spread so thinly that they were difficult to identify. The pastries were missing. The cakes were not the patisserie style fancies shown in the promotional pictures, but more like traybakes cut into different sized chunks and didn't seem particularly fresh. Our teapot was refreshed and we were given new cups and "saucers", which turned out to be side plates. Heidi did try to make us comfortable, but by that time, all hope of enjoying our afternoon was lost. We did ask a waiter for a box to take our cakes away but were told "We don't do boxes" and we're directed to a pile of paper napkins and told to help ourselves. The three saving graces are; At £25, it wasn't the most expensive afternoon tea. I would have paid more for a first class experience. Heidi did her best to keep customers happy, with what appeared to be very little support from her colleagues. Whatever the Imperial are paying her, it's not enough. The one thing that the hotel did deliver on was the magnificent view, but I give the Imperial no credit for that whatsoever. Lastly, I sent an email to the Imperial later that day, and to add insult to injury, now, almost a week later, have had no response. NB. Pictured - what the Imperial's advertising led us to expect. NOT what we got !

Went in here tonight for a few drinks before going to the local Indian restaurant. My wife and daughter sat down and i went to the bar where there was no one waiting to be served, I waited whilst the staff continued talking to other customers sat drinking at the bar but was ignored. A couple came in behind me and they must have been regulars as the bar staff went to serve them, only when I stated I was next the attitude I received was not that of good customer service. There are far better pubs in Paignton, give this one a wide birth
