Good food polite staff, quick service

Food was banging. Elsie the waitress was really friendly and the bar staff were great. Will defo return.

Myself and my friends meet in The Land Oak every week, I have brought lots of trade since we started using it too. Some of them have a meal and love the food there, the bar staff are lovely too and nothing is too much trouble. Last week unfortunately they now have a sign saying no Vaping which before wasn't a problem, as I am disabled it would be very difficult to keep going outside. At one time they had smoking and no smoking areas for the restaurant so surely this could be arranged for Vaping. Sadly otherwise we will have to look for another venue in future.

Lovely meal, fast service. We sat at the back of the restaurant within the children’s area. Our waitress Grace was very attentive with my daughter providing her with colouring crayons and bringing a teaspoon to help with her dinner. We will definitely be returning.

Hi Paul thought you should be made aware of the quality of our meal yesterday. I ordered Hunters Chicken from the Lunch menue. The amount of chicken on the plate was minimal. It was not the suggested half a chicken breast and the garnish was also of small amount with a small portion of tomato. Also the special offer steaks were dry in texture!! X £13. All 4 x meals disappointing in quality and amount. I did mention the steaks to the lady that served us and she wasn't too bothered. I didn't see the bill but on reflection the total did seem over priced. I'm not sure if our two deserts did qualify as part of the Lunch price @ £2.50. WE paid £87+ which was after our 30% discount.

It is very welcoming for and mutiple places where you sit, each with a different feeling. The food is nice and the meat and fish is what I find nicest and the chips are okay. Service is rather quick and nice.

Lovely lunch today with friends 2 of us roast beef dinner very nice despite a table of 4 next to us of which 2 complained about their beef dinners I felt so sorry for the young lady waitress she offered them everything replace there meal take it off the bill but no they carried on complaining but then went on to have desserts no pleasing some folks . But we'll done to the staff

Absolutely amazing philly cheese steak (I could eat the cheese sauce with a spoon) Their fries and their chips are both smashing, crispy and hot as they should be. Staff was absolutely lovely as always, Hailey in particular was really nice and helpful despite being a new member of staff. Everyone there is always friendly and happy to help ☺️. My new local, highly recommended popping in.

table booked online.on arrival NO ONE to greet us or show us to our table. The lecturn at the entrance did not have the computer switched ON ? We waited and we waited no one came to our assistance . eventually we just walked into the restaurant and found an empty table (of which there were many ) we ordered our food and drink at the bar,my wife had a sirloin steak,when it arrived it was TOUGH as leather ,we sent it back and changed for a chicken burger (the burger was £5 cheaper than the steak ) of which no redress was offered All in all a very disapointing visit !!!

Average pub food, average pub, good service

Last week I arranged for a couple to spend some quality time together at your pub. The husband is in a wheelchair and in a care home . You did us proud and this is to say thank you, especially to Sara ( not sure that is spelt right) Sara went above and beyond with great customer service and made their day . She deserves a mention ⭐️ We shall come again !

Lunch was quite disappointing for all 3 of us. 2 had Hunters chicken....it was very dry, there was hardly any bbq sauce, seemed to be just a dribble on the top, and the chicken itself, was very dry. Mac+ cheese was the other meal, and my friend said that it was the worst she'd ever had. Shame, as I've had lovely meals here in the past. We won't be returning.

We are looking at moving to the area. We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcoming from bar staff Emma & Ellie. The food was very tasty, prices reasonable, great beer, excellent customer service. This will be a fabulous local pub when we move.

Visited here several times for drinks but on Thursday 16 May we decided to eat here. The food was absolutely excellent and the Prosecco (apparently a new brand) was just what the doctor ordered. On previous visits the staff have always been friendly and welcoming and they could not have been more attentive on this day. Unfortunately do not know any staff names. The assistant manager and the lady with the dark hair in particular were extremely welcoming and helpful. All the staff there have been very friendly. Well done.

We needed a quick dinner before going out and booked here because it was close to our destination. We both had the Wednesday night special deal curry. Arrived quickly, tasty and a decent portion. Nice surroundings and helpful staff. We would come again.

I came mainly because of the 30% off. I would normally choose off Pub Classics and I find better choices elsewhere and more competitive.

Ordered a chicken wing dish that was for two people there were only 10 wings this is not enough for two people there's other pubs that do one kilogram of wings for the same price. Very disappointed with your portion size

QR appears to be the way forward, however, this is aimed at a more younger demographic. I think “know your audience” is key. I was possibly the youngest there yesterday (43 years old) I’m tech savvy but loathe ordering this way. Walking in were more elderly and not always steady on their feet. Ordering at the bar I think is fine,but maybe offer table service for those slightly less nimble. I’d also consider a more wide audience friendly playlist. R n B is not everyone’s cuppa tea! On the positives, food was fresh and hot. No complaints and the young team there were very friendly.

Chef Toni and Sara made the whole thing awesome! Learned how to make a pizza, how long it took to cook and had pudding too! Even extras for the adults. Many thanks! A wonderful Sunday afternoon spent celebrating a birthday , the food was delicious ,and the Sunday Roast was good quality, we would definitely have again . Service was good.

The Land Oak, has been a favourite of mine for years. We popped in to take advantage of the Meal Deal at the moment. We were not disappointed. Excellent service from Paul at the Bar.

Good food and atmosphere nice surroundings

I popped in for a bite to eat whilst my little one was napping and I am so pleased I chose here! The staff were awesome - the female member of staff saw me entering with the pram and instantly came to help me with the door. She also offered to bring my drink over, so I didn't have to struggle. I ordered a jacket potato and it came quickly, and was very tasty. I liked the fact that the salad came with some cous cous (though, the salad leaves could have been a little fresher). When I left, the male member of staff had obviously seen me collecting my stuff together, and was already waiting to help me with the door. As a first time mom, going somewhere different with the pram can be quite daunting, but the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere made this an easy and enjoyable lunch. I'll definitely be back.
