we arrived there after12pm . but it was closed very disappointed as my 3yr old grandson was looking forward to playing on the slide . so I can't tell you anything else I give it a 0 as it wasn't open when it should have been or as the sign out side said it would be 👎

Dropped in for a Sunday dinner. Very good value for money. Two adult roasts for £12 each and children’s were £5 each. All nice homemade ingredients, excellent thick gravy and a lovely pint too. Garden is nice for kids too with a climbing frame and trampoline.

Lovely mother and son run pub, friendly, working to build and improve their offering, a great stop on a long drive. Didn't eat, but had a nice chat and loved the enthusiasm for their pub and the future

Large park outside to keep the kids occupied including slides, cars, climbing frame and a trampoline. Kiddies loved it. Pool table outside aswell. Draught soft drinks are turned off so only cans of pop available. When we arrived outside was busy we sat on a table by the park and the entire time we was there it wasn't cleaned by staff. Food did look nice as was coming out but we didn't order food.

Looked on the Web site on Sunday 3rd March, and said open till 11pm had a walk at 5pm it was closed. on the door it saying 12 till 7 but it was closed, need to update website.

Rooms in the old part in need of updating. Everywhere else is excellent

Dropped in on way back from few days in Tenby with my wife and son, first time here, had a nice pint of Hobgoblin ale, 3 cobs and a glass of coke. Can reccomend this pub, good ale and quality ingredients in cobs.

Nice place to go if weather is good if you have kids. Nice play area

Fantastic pub, made very welcome by the locals and lady behind the bar was also very friendly and made my disabled Wife and disabled Mom in law so welcome. Will be visiting again very soon.

Nothing special. It is one of those places that make you feel like a stranger when you walk in. Helpful staff that were willing to get a special bottle from the cellar.

Drove past the pub and it looked lovely so me and my partner popped in for a few. Lovely staff felt very welcomed. We sat and spoke to them for a while and they said they’ve recently took on the pub. Child friends with Plenty of board games with a cosy feel. We loved our visit we will 100% be returning.

They have a brilliant little food shed outside here to get your breakfast sandwiches and baps and there also doing bake spuds now as well and fish finger sandwiches.... highly recommended for good honest food ....at a reasonable price

Came here today to ride mountain bike in the forest with some local (ish) lads. Really friendly landlord, excellent beer and today there were fresh rolls on the menu after ride. Really nice atmosphere. Def recommend.

Brilliant pub , great location, only popped in for a few beers, down to earth staff an the play area was great to keep the little 1 entertained, food from the van was very good too.

Awaiting my new cooker, good excuse to eat out, came here and wasnt dissapointed. Had had a pint here before but not eaten. Lovely selection, great portion size and value for money. There are even slushys on offer for the kids, or adults! The garden area is well maintained and gets the sun all day. Great pub, welcoming staff its a winner! - June 22.. still a fab pub, fantastic breakfast cobs from the snack hut out front. Beautiful garden, play area and lovely friendly team...

Great people and very welcoming

Dropped in for a drink as garden looked child friendly. Charged twice for round of drinks, queried this at the bar who claimed it had only gone through once despite showing bank statement showing otherwise. left my name and number at the bar for manager to check at end of day for refund.. received no call no refund. A pint, a pint of coke and a j20 ended up costing £18.80.pub and garden seemed a nice family friendly venue so it’s a shame. Won’t be returning unless issue is resolved.

Great place good food would recommend

This review is for the snack van on the car park of the pub. Wanted a bacon ,egg and egg sandwich but they don't do bread 😒. However the cob was really fresh and tasty good cooked filling and a reasonable cost. Love the buzzer while you wait the buzzer goes off when your food is ready 😋. Carl

When ever we pass we call in for a sandwich from the outside catering team as the sandwiches are the best we have and are always full

Parked there cause no room in wyre forest and we only had cash to pay instead of a card. Nice to be able to have a cuppa pr a bite to eat

Well organised Public House, very covid friendly. Did notice that some of the obvious locals shortcut the their safe system of movement through the premises though.

We were sat outside due to social distancing, which they have done brilliantly. You order your drinks through the hatch at the side. On the car park they have a burger van, the chips are lovely!

Brilliant little country pub, before the new owners who are running it now took over it was dire. But now we go there at least twice a week for a meal, food is cooked fresh and is tasty and prices are very reasonable. Staff are friendly and pleasant. What more could you ask for.

stopped by at lunch time , served by a young lady called Chloe ( very nice and polite) myself and wife ordered two meals of the menu. we dint have to wait to long but the wait was worth it we both ate well OR AS THEY SAY FED AND WATERED. THANKYOU CHLOE.

Met here with a friend for cheeky Christmas drink & lunch... love it, great atmosphere, friendly staff who take the time to chat with you & make you feel welcome... not just serve you.. warm cosy traditional feeling to the place, been back several times including Sunday lunch .. another great HOME COOKED meal... great car park & if needed children’s area outside...

Great for a quiet beer, only locals use this pub it seems. Good park for the kids in the summer and have bouncy castles then but can be packed with campers.The food isn’t very good at all but Friendly bar staff.

Five stars for ongoing improvement. We live nearby so pop in from time to time and noticed, since the change of chef, quality of the food is much better (no sophisticated dishes but wholesome meals, good value for money). New well-made equipment for children, hopefully first of few. And the staff is nice and efficient but not overbearing.

We needed lunch after going to the Wyre forest, just over the road was the Duke William. The staff were very welcoming and helpful as soon as we went in, and continued throughout to go out of their way to be helpful. As parents with two young children I must say this is always extremely welcome behaviour as it helps both parents and children feel at ease immediately. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all, and what’s more a child’s meal is free with each main meal ordered, always an excellent result. They have a children’s play area outside which is well set up and maintained, and on the day we went there was also a bouncy castle, which the kids loved. Can’t recommend going to the Duke William enough, a fantastic visit.

Geat little pub, friendly bar staff and a good selection of drinks. Food looked nice but I didnt order any. They sell a small section of sandwiches and chocolates behind the bar. Also had a slushy machine for the kids.

Our second visit to the Duke William for lunch. Nine of us dined here and the general consensus was that all our meals were most enjoyable. Good menu choice and prices to match. Very friendly owner, nothing too much trouble. The owners appear to have some plans in place to make for enjoyable visits to the DW during the summer. We wish them well in their endeavours to make the DW a good place to dine..

We had the surf and turf which was plentiful and nice tasting.

I was there at The weekend with my family and friends we ordered some food my Daughter ordered a cod and prawn curry which was advertised on the menu but when it was delivered the person who brought the food over said this is your green Thai curry but it did not state this on the menu My daughter said to me I can’t eat this as she was expecting a standard curry so her sister said I will have it and you can have my Burger.My friend ordered soup for starters but his main meal came out first when he told the lady She said okay I’ll take your main meal back keep it warm for you and I’ll bring your soup out .

Great beer garden and a cracking bbq

A group of of us dined here for lunch this week, our first visit to the Duke William. Pleasant welcome from the lady behind the bar. Good choice of menu, all at reasonable prices. Seniors lunch menu Tuesday - Thursday. All of our meals were served without any undue delay and all were hot and nicely presented by the chef of the day. A most pleasant lady. A bit disappointed by the small choice of real ales on offer. Most of the beers were lagers. But hopefully this may change. All in all a most pleasant visit for lunch and all our party agreed that we would most definitely pay a return visit in the near future.

Real nice pub, good food and drink will return

We visited yesterday for Sunday lunch. We sat in the dedicated restaurant room (there is a separate bar), which was pleasant enough once we had turned down the volume on the radio which was tuned into a radio station (not normally what you expect in a restaurant!) Subsequently, three ladies came in from the bar, with their drinks (they didn't order food). Throughout the time we were eating they spoke very loudly (occasionally swearing) and made and took phone calls. We heard about everything from their grand children to whose turn it was to peel the ****** potatoes when they got home! This really spoilt our experience of a relaxing lunch. Maybe the management could insist that the restaurant is used for only people who are eating; people who are having a drink, in any pub, tend to behave differently to those having meals. The food: all starters were fine; on the main meals the Yorkshire pudding was a little small and there was no stuffing with the chicken. It would've been nice to have some mash and just a couple of roast potatoes rather than only roast potatoes; the small portion of mixed veg was just ok. However, the roast beef melted in the mouth and the chicken was very tasty. The young girls serving were pleasant. This place is fine for those who enjoy listening to the radio whilst eating and who enjoy a basic reasonably priced Sunday lunch (with delicious meat).

Thought we would give it a try as there is new management. So glad we did. The food was smashing. Really enjoyed it. And very reasonable price too. The new decor is also much better now. Compliments to the chef and the rest of the staff.

Now under new management, its a fantastic friendly pub with a great atmosphere and good food and beer, highly recommended

Recently had a meal here. Awful frozen fish and chips only 1choise of beer ,cramped seats barman trying to serve 2bars don't go there

Popped in after a long walk in the wyre forest over the road, dog was welcome and a large outside grassed beer garden with plenty room for the kids to run around, and play on the slide. food was available but we were to late in the day to order but menu seemed reasonably priced. inside seemed a bit dark and in need of a bit of tlc but all in all ok for a quick pint after a long walk.
