A fantastic cheese salad crusty cob with proper cut cheese, not the bloody messy grated stuff. Wife had cheese and onion and said the same

I have found the staff at this shop to be incredibly rude and unhelpful on multiple occasions. Every request feels like I am being an inconvenience to them. Each visit has left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Due to the consistently poor customer service, I now avoid this shop entirely. I strongly advise others to consider alternative options where customer service is valued.

Total rip off! No filling Rock hard £1.50 per cake not worth 5p each At least the ducks had a treat Should be ashamed selling to people who support local businesses

I went to collect a loaf of gi bread large this morning.I noticed it was rather small so I asked for another loaf on the shelf. The woman with glasses and round face made a squeaking noise and said do you squeak when you walk and kept on calling me darling I found her very rude, condescending and unprofessional.

I ordered 6 cottage rolls on Tuesday 18th July to be collected on 22nd July, to my disappointment I was told that they hadn’t arrived, the lady serving me was very apologetic but that didn’t help because I was entertaining that night hence ordering the rolls for this occasion, what’s the point I ordering these. I bought a loaf of bread while a was there & the bread was expensive but a decent lovely tasting loaf. I’d go back & get my bread from them but definitely unsure about ordering as you don’t get what you’ve ordered

I queued outside for ages whilst the lady inside was gossiping away with a customer ignoring the people outside ( I was first in the queue so I could see and hear ) chat and pass the time of day by all means but don't ignore customers queueing outside ... rude and ignorant !

I was standing in the doorway because the shop was full so I was in the queue. A woman from behind the counter burst out and shouted “move from in the doorway I need to get in and out”! No please can you move or anything! So I said if that is how you talk to your customers you can stick your bread! The most rude person I have have met in a shop! I would have spent my money in that shop but I will never step foot in there again! As a local to Bewdley there are other shops I would rather give my money too! Disgusting service! If that is how you talk to the customers I am surprised you have any!

Popped in to check out the bakery on the way to the museum. Saw a basket of jam-filled sugar doughnuts near the window and bought a couple to share with my buddy. Tasty and just the thing for a welcome bite. The service was pleasant and the price reasonable. Love going into local bakeries around the world to try the offerings. Happy to have stopped into Ashley's.

Visited Bewdley on the weekend just gone and popped in here to buy something sweet. We chose the shortbread biscuits and assumed they were homemade. You get about 5/6 in a pack for £3.25. For this price you'd probably expect some lovely biscuits! How wrong we were... they were completly tastleless and didn't taste anything like shortbread. It was like eating a plain slightly buttery biscuit with no flavour. Went in the bin after trying the first 2 (hoping the first biscuit was just a bad one).

Who charges 8 pounds for a double shot espresso with 2 extra shots? That's an absolute rip off. When you can get the same 4 shots at every other decent place for less than 4 pounds, it's ludicrous! I sent my husband to get 2 coffees and he came back paying 16 pounds for such a teeny tiny quantity as well. Never ever going to a place that literally charges you the sky for a cup of Joe. Terrible!!!

We popped in on a rainy Saturday lunchtime for a sandwich. The shop is quaint and small, with 3 members of staff almost falling over each other. I ordered 2 filled rolls and 2 cakes. The rolls were made to order. Couple of concerns - no tongs and staff handled money and food items alternately. Also, a staff member was cleaning the cake cabinet by brushing the crumbs off one shelf onto the cakes below. Probably wouldn't go back......

Ashley's is a small and lovely little bakery in Bewdley. Every Saturday I get my ham salad cob, with the choice of a soft or crusty cob. It is the best cob I have had and I love to have it as my routine at work. It's made freshly for you and they're very reasonably priced. The cob is big with lots of ingredients on, making it good value for money. If they're not busy they will even deliver it to our store for us. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to both visitors and locals alike.

I was in Blackpool recently for the weekend and the lager in most pubs we went in was well under £3 a pint. I do not expect to pay premium prices in a brewery owned pub, especially when pubs such as Wetherspoons can undercut them by a considerable amount and other non brewery owned pubs as well. The Wetherspoons pub in Stourbridge is full most days, which reflects the reasonable pricing for food and beer. The food prices in Marston's pubs are also on the high side, but the food was mostly quite good and the service was good. If pubs are to survive they need to be competitive with regards to pricing and not charge through the nose....£3.10 for half a coke is very expensive in my view and the beer is too expensive...well over £5 per pint for Guinness is crazy. It's a nice enough pub, but well overpriced.
