Lamb & Flag Inn in Worcester

Nice old style pub with some decent ale and efficient and friendly staff. Very busy with locals on cup final day but still managed to serve us tourists promptly and with a smile. Nice outdoor area and good value. Recommended.

This is a quaint local pub with a great atmosphere. It's also a place that supports real music. We originally simply stopped for a quiet drink having enjoyed an interesting day looking around the town. Sam, the barman couldn't have been more helpful or friendly and having explained about the live music night actually put aside a table for us. The Jameson's were a treat, a fiddle and guitar duo singing everything from Irish folk to seventies Ballards. All in all a real hidden jem.

I’m not vegetarian, but my husband and I have just eaten the best vegan food ever. I had the steak and he had salmon wellington. Everything was piping hot, vegetables were delicious, certainly didn’t need any extras. Couldn’t resist the desserts, which were equally gorgeous. The night was made by the lovely waitress, Amber. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Shall certainly be returning .

We called to book surgo but there now gone. Lovely guy on the phone suggested we give them a chance. I don't regret it at all food was amazing

Excellent food, well presented. Loved the way the tiramisu was served, hot sauce poured over the chocolate case. Server very helpful and knowledgeable. I though the lamb and flag was just a good pub serving good beer but it is so much more than that. Will definitely go back.

Very nice pub with friendly and polite staff. Always impressed about the attention to details and cleanliness of this place. Best Guinness in Worcester and many other Great drinks. I wish I leaved closer :D

We needed a food break and decided to give this a try and we were so impressed with the staff and their customer focus such a lovely team. We had the tapas and was served some really nice dishes, for drinks we had some really nice ales too....we were really inpressed with the service too. Such a lovely little place for a nice bit of food and drink.

Lovely pub with friendly staff and friendly locals! Great deal on the Guinness for Cheltenham week! We didn’t manage to eat here, however we will be on our next visit to Worcester!

Been here a few times now, brilliant pub, friendly staff, always seems to be improving. Great cocktail bar out the back, and the food is on point. Highly recommended.

Understanding times are challenging, but no excuse for forgetting 2/5 rounds on my visit last night. Was not overly busy and staff are more interested in looking after their “mates”. Also 4/8 of Mussels were closed, when pointed out all I got back was “I’ll tell chef” that was it.. not after a red carpet, but perhaps a replacement or a pint with no drama. Sadly after many years of being a regular I think I’ve called last orders.

Tony and his team are incredibly warm, welcoming and hospitable. As well as a nice, relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic range of beers / ales, the food here is a cut above the rest. In addition to the Italian restaurant above the pub, pizzas and a range of tapas are on offer - the salt cod and calamari in particular are great and the authentic pizzas are probably the best in town. Highly recommended!

We had just helped our youngest daughter and partner move to live in Worcester. Looking for a place for a meal after the journey and move and this was in easy walking distance. Excellent restaurant on the first floor up a rather narrow winding staircase, that was 3, 5, 7 or more steps. The Lamb & Flag (apparently with a sister Sugo restaurant) is the real deal without being part of one of the chains that so often corner the market for Italian food. We had dietary needs in our party and the menu was varied and adequately accommodated our requirements. Well priced, superbly prepared authentic Italian food served by a great team led in our case by a delightful young lady who was clearly Italian but perhaps with Asian heritage.

A nice pub offering its own beers (although not brewed on site). It also boasts a great Italian restaurant upstairs.

Called in for a light lunch and had a bar meal from a reasonably extensive bar menu which was really good.A bit of a mixture with an English pub downstairs serving bar meals from a full Italian restaurant upstairs.I had the fish cakes and my wife the vegetarian lasagne. Both were tasty, piping hot and accompanied by a bruschetta made for an appetising light lunch.Only complaint from me was that the portions were just a little on the small side but quality certainly made up for quantity.The quirky bit is that there is a good selection of real ales of the English variety so the best of two worlds.Clean toilets, friendly staff, well worth a visit.

Second visit within a week and if you like your Italian food then this is the place for you. Great pasta dishes, good wine excellent Primitivo at only £23 a bottle and the Prune Tart is to die for. Great atmosphere and excellent service. Only fault is the need to sprinkle icing sugar ( desert course equivalent of greenery on your dinner) over the dessert. Not necessary as suggests lack of confidence on behalf of chef as certainly no creative angle.

3 of us called in for an early meal and some decent beer.The Prosecco was very good my partner said. The HPA and German lagers were excellent.My partner had the lamb kebabs which were excellent.I had the SEDANINI ALLA NORCINA, which was 1st for me and was a great dish.Our colleague had theSEDANINI AI FRUTTI DI MARE, which he really enjoyed

The Lamb and flag is what so many places fail to be its a great pub full of atmosphere friendly staff and great food still with its pub feel.So many pubs try so hard with food that the friendly pub feel is lost not so here.You can go in for a drink and feel perfectly comfortable and if you want to eat the food is brilliant. There is a restaurant upstairs but they serve food downstairs and it is lovely It might be a bit more expensive than some pubs but you really do get what you pay for. I would recommend it to anyone.

This pub serves food, and is also a pleasant and convenient place to meet friends before visiting one of the Indian restaurants in Worcester. The service is pleasant and the atmosphere nice but the drinks are expensive - £8.10 for a 175cc wine and a half pint of beer. For around £8.40, I would get a 250cc wine and a pint of beer at one of my local pubs in a village outside the city.

Six of us enjoyed a lovely meal here on a Saturday evening. We'd booked well in advance and had a table in the upstairs 'conservatory'. Depending on whether the door to the adjoining building is open or closed, it can be a bit draughty so worth bearing in mind during cooler times.A delicious starter of mushrooms on crostini was followed by the seafood pasta. The seabass with crisp fresh green vegetables was enjoyed by several of my friends - I'm tempted to try that next time! The wine prices were very reasonable too.Service was excellent, well-timed and friendly with (predictably) Italian style.This restaurant was recommended to us and it lived up to expectations - we'll certainly visit again. All in all, good value for money, with a great atmosphere!If you're driving, parking is not that easy, but available on the main road outside if you're lucky enough to get a space. It's wise to leave some time in case you have to walk farther than expected.

We visit here quite often, popping in for a drink after work or with wife and friends. Each time we always enjoy the atmosphere, friendliness of staff and good beer and food. Looking forward to our next visit next week.

This is a lovely little cosy little place recommended by a friend. Sat outside due to it being very busy. Thankful it wasn’t to cold or raining. A lovely young lady served us also provide table service which I wasn’t expecting. Great service very friendly. The decor was lovely to. I will revisit.

I'd called in knowing that the pub served ales from the Two Crafty Brewers.I was looking for food too, and expected the same excellent burgers that I'd had at one of their other pubs ion West Bromwich.

Visited on a Saturday lunch time with friends, the weather was lovely so we did manage to sit outside for some time to enjoy the sunshine. Really lovely interior, very modern but still cosy and they had kept some of the lovely original features. I had lamb kebabs as a main and the lamb was unfortunately very fatty which was off putting but everything else was delicious. I would definitely visit again, but not order the lamb!

We only had a few drinks in the bar, but the staff were very attentive, the drinks very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was really quirky but smart and interesting at the same time. Will definitely be going back for a drink and maybe a bar meal, as my partner and myself prefer to eat in a bar and not a restaurant. But maybe we will one day try the restaurant as well. The outside seating area also looked very nice. Keep up the good work as it was so friendly and one more thing the toilets were spotless which is one thing I always look at when visiting public places.

Been eating here for sometime now , never had a bad meal , food is always good , Guinness is best in Worcester .

The recent renovations to the Lamb and Flag Inn have been amazing and hats off to the architects for their vision of this old pub in turning a seventeenth century building into a most up to date and on trend pub. The pub has maintained its ambiance and is a fantastic meeting place for all. In this day and age, when popular pubs are being closed down and forgotten or turned into flats, the Lamb and Flag still waves its flag proudly in these difficult times for pubs and long may it continue!

Having walked past this pub many times I had never thought to go in so decided we would have a look and we were very pleased we did. Lovely decor, polite staff and lovely craft ales to top it off. It had a very relaxed feel and we will certainly return again.
