A friend of mine recommended trying out the Sunday Roast and we were extremely surprised how good it was. The restaurant bar area looks fantastic, the food was delicious and the staff were great and so friendly. They have themed nights so will be booking again soon.

We chose Lakeside for both our wedding ceremony and reception. Everything went along seamlessly with all staff involved showing courtesy and respect along with being prepared to go that ‘extra yard’ to make our day so, so special. Every guest praised the food which was served promptly and to schedule. It was a truly memorable experience and we would unhesitatingly recommend this venue to other couples planning their day.

Over 30 golfers stayed here for a weekend of golf. From the moment we walked in till the moment we left,we received outstanding service from the reception,bar staff,chef and club pro shop staff,they couldn’t be more helpful if they tried. Sarah,Hannah and Sam who looked after us in the bar and dining area literally made our stay a memorable one and will 100% be back. Lodges are set out brilliant and absolutely immaculate. The cleaning staff are great.

We came here today as a massive group of 10 children and 10 adults. We came for the bowling side of it but to also have lunch. Big shout out to Jackie and Rachel who dealt with our group. Nothing was too much trouble for them considering the size of the group. Bowling was so much fun and the perfect size alley for our group . We then had lunch which was really delicious all fresh and great portion sizes. Thank you so much highly recommend xx

We visited for a family meal for 5. We were seated quickly and served by a lovely waitress (who I think was called Hannah). Having viewed the menu online beforehand, the menu being served wasn’t as extensive as advertised, with some items missing. The food arrived fairly swiftly, the portions here are huge! Lovely presentation too. We had a major issue with flies swarming our table. All the windows were closed, and there were no visible fly catchers around the room, so these are obviously regulars. I’d understand a little more in the summer but it’s now late autumn so they shouldn’t really be a problem. It made for a difficult meal with us all constantly swatting them away from our food. My 14 year old son swallowed a fish bone, and found a few more in the fish on his plate, which put him off eating any more. I know this is a risk with fish, but they obviously aren’t deboning thoroughly enough. The staff were all seated round a table in the restaurant with some of their friends, drinking and laughing, only getting up when someone approached the bar. We weren’t checked upon during the meal, or we would have conveyed our issues with the flies. Desserts or more drinks weren’t offered at any point. Another point to take into consideration, the open plan bar/restaurant looks lovely, but even with only a few tables in the noise level rises quite high, meaning we couldn’t really hear our own conversations. Not a negative unless you have people who are of harder hearing.

We held our Sons Christening here and it was brilliant our family and guests had a wonderful time. Staff were amazing, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble, the food was brilliant, so many great comments from our guests. Really recommend for any party or gathering, we will definitely be back for future parties!

Only walked to here for an afternoon drink. Was ok at first but when the golfers were coming back to the outside area [ quite a few of them ] we felt very uncomfortable by the lack of social distancing and them hovering over us, so drank up quickly and left.

37 of us played the course this weekend and had are evening meal and breakfast in this restaurant The food was wonderful and the service excellent would recommend to an6one who likes their food

Out for Sunday Roast today, my partner and I have to say the Lakeside Lodge now serve the best Roast in the area. The chocolate Brownie is to die for. That Bar and restaurant now is a potential goldmine. I'm a foodie, I love cooking so going out and enjoying food is a big ask. I could not fault their new improved classy roast since the new Chef arrived he's turned it from Olde Worlde to affordable class. The view from the balcony on a Sunday in the sun eating cannot be beaten whilst watching the chef cooking BBQ food made to order and the golfers finishing off their round. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. We will be back with friends next time and this is most definitely going to be a regular haunt for us now.

We booked the Courtyard for a baby shower at lakeside lodge Bar and Restaurant The staff couldnt have been more helpful. In light of the current Covid 19 guidelines they ensured that we had adequate space for all the guests to adhere to the guidelines. The venue was lovely and clean with allocated area for us to set up some decorations and banners. The food was all served to our area and our guests with special dietary requirements were also catered for. Thank you to the team - we had a very pleasant event

In contrast to the connected hotel, I cannot fault the staff and kitchen crew here. Lovely light batter on my fish and chips, friendly bar team and nothing was too much trouble. I’d heartily recommend their baked Camembert too!

What wonderful staff and a great atmosphere we held my parents 60th wedding anniversary here. We had around 80 - 100 guests and chose hot and cold buffets our guests commented how good the food was and how helpful and amazing the staff were they really helped make the day so special. We also hired a soft play area for the children which easily went into the side room and was excellent. With the balcony adding to a great photo call, with the golf course in the distance, it catered for all our needs. As I have mentioned the staff were amazing and a great day was had by all highly recommended 😄

Nice selection of meals. The restaurant is out of town and has to be reached by car but well worth the drive.

set in beautiful surroundings with a health centre, beauticians, hairdresser (oh and Golf) is a lovely little retaurant. Open all day serving light lunches, bar snacks to full evening meals with a specials board. We ate on a Sunday night and were really surprised by how good the food was - the special of Lamb Kebabs, Veg Balti, Rice, Naan and dips was totally delicious - never seen him tuck into a veg curry before and you could tell by the colour of the Lamb cubes on the kebabs that they were going to be good. The tomato and onion confit with my pork schnitzel was sweet and the cider red cabbage a lovely balance of sweet and sour. Not sure when we will ever find ourselves in the area again - but if we did the selection of cakes looked delicious!

Really lovely food, I had two nights here, tried a Chinese pork on the special board which was amazing! The bacon mushroom bruschetta for starters is lovely. The standard burgers and meals on the menu all looked lovely, all home made, nothing looked or tasted microwaved - looking forward to going back. The prices are very reasonable. There is a good range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks too

I stay here for work on occasion and it’s a well set up place, lots of accommodation, food all year round, nice golf course, driving range.It’s very popular too judging by how busy it gets, seemingly always people staying. I am a golfer myself and would recommend to friends to have a trip here and stay over definitely. Decent menu and nice clubhouse to enjoy food and drinks in. Breakfast is a big selection it’s a really good way to start a day. Food is pretty good, decent sized portions, fair prices. Rooms are good, everything you could ask for.

Escondido hacia el final de la carretera, Pidley Fen, Lakeside Lodge tiene muy acogedor personal y un buen bar y restaurante. El bar tiene una gran variedad de bebidas, pero la comida es donde sobresale. El menú es una agradable combinación de comida de pub inglés y otros interesantes platos a precios razonables, los cuales eran de alta calidad. Versatilidad es evidente como el restaurante con jugadores, necesitaban una copa, otros sólo necesitan un bocadillo tostado o una chaqueta de patata para tener una comida de tres comensales restaurante. Nada parecía demasiado. Con un amplio espacio para sentarse afuera o incluso jugar 10 pin bowling es un gran lugar para familias y amigos a reunirse para disfrutar de unacomida muy buena que se adapta a todos los gustos y necesidades.

I chose the Chef's Special.......Grilled Seabass Fillet, with Thai Seafood Cakes,Beetroot Potatoes and Summer Vegetables in a lovely dressing. It was an excellent choice, so tasty and so enjoyable. It was beautifully cooked, and the presentation of the meal was so appetizing.
