Lakeside Bistro in Wyre

Lovely welcoming little cafe serving excellent food ,coffee, cakes, ice cream! Lovely peaceful setting with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outside seating has great view of the lake there and the surrounding lodges where you can stay. The food is of an outstanding standard and uses good quality ingredients too. An excellent stop on a bike ride too! To be highly recommended

Lovely location. Great food. Friendly, relaxed welcome. Service could have been a little more attentive but not a major issue.

This is my third visit and I have never been disappointed. The food is well conceived, plentiful and competitively priced. The ambience is good and the location charming. The pizzas (not Sundays) are great and some of the best I’ve had in the UK.

The food was ok, probably average for the price, but the service was really poor - they had numerous waitresses so you'd expect it to be quite attentive, but they spent most of the time stood together chatting and ignoring customers, one even took our desert order, and served it to us whilst the dirty pots from our main meal that we'd finished 30 minutes earlier were still on our table, she just pushed them to the side so she could fit the deserts on! Pretty brainless. Also the manager is quite obnoxious, she was quite old, so maybe has been in the industry a tad too long and become sour with age - first and last visit

Lovely setting but worst coffee ever and the food wasn't much better. Owner was very rude on this occassion and previous visits. Staff were inefficient and in need of some training. Poor value for money, would not recommend.

Such a shame lovely place but worst breakfast ever only one choice of egg pouch and full of vinegar which in turn ruined my lovely bread coffee very weak such a lovely place and had some nice lunches...

This is a regular meeting place for the Saturday brunch club so it made sense to come and celebrate a birthday here. The room upstairs was used for afternoon tea for all the guests and it was fabulous. The food was tasty plenty of sandwiches. A quiche that i could have happily eaten all day and sausage rolls i have never tasted the likes of before they were so good. All finished with divine desserts. A melt in the mouth fruit and cream meringue, a chocolate pot which was as light as a feather and beautiful scones, jam and clotted cream. All washed down with copious amounts of tea. For the drinkers theres a fabulous selection of alcoholic spirits, wines and beers. For the non drinkers we enjoyed flavoured tonics with a good choice of flavours. The staff are wonderful. So polite and nothing is too much trouble. And you can’t leave a review without mentioning the beautiful lake and wildlife around. It is an absolutely stunning place.

Very good Sunday lunch, nice quality food. Well presented meal,local sourced produce. Lovely vegetables ,Yorkshire pudding and beef.

We visited whilst staying at accommodation locally. One of our group is a wheelchair user so i called in advance to ensure an accessible table was available. There is ample parking and the entrance is fully accessible. The restaurant overlooks a lovely lake area. Staff were really welcoming and had reserved a table as requested. They quickly took our drinks order and returned to take the food order. The meals were all lovely, well presented, ample portions and very tasty. We would definetly recommend a visit if you are local and we would return if we ho back to the area.

Always been here regularly but over the last couple of months, service has declined. Staff are rude and ignore customers. Food is average and not worth the price. Shame as always been a nice place to go.

We arrived at 2:45 for drinks and food. The waitress came to our table with the food menu’s then our drinks came. We then tried to order some food only to be told the kitchen is closed at 3pm. It was actually 2:55. Only option was toasties or nothing else. It’s absolutely shocking attitude. I wouldn’t recommend giving them any business. Maybe they spent too long on furlough !!!!

My wife and I have been visiting this hidden gem every day for coffee and on special monthly themed evenings. We have to say it really is a great place to go, the food is always excellent and the staff are courteous and attentive. A special mention for Catherine the recent manager, she has really made a difference. We'll done all staff! Keep it up!
