Great food and a friendly and efficient service at very reasonable prices. The Bombay aloo and chicken ginger Karachi were particularly good. Thank you!

We came to visit Tooting, my girlfriend mentioned this restaurant to me many times and told me wonderful things about this place. The decoration of the restaurant looks nice and the atmosphere is good. Food was delicious, my favourite dish was the sag paner. We were served by a lady named Nadia, she was very informative and knowledgeable, always attentive, she was so friendly, so social and recommended us very nice dishes, the service was 5 stars. For these type of food and these type of service we will definitely come back.

Superb Pakistani food + BYOB; lovely atmosphere with charming Indian/Pakistani families: no noisy brats from English buggy mums! The 'services' are a little difficult to reach (up steep stairs) when using a walking stick. I have lunched there at least fifty times.

We have been ordering takeaway from Lahore Karahi for over a year and its our go to spot for a good curry. We recently hosted a family event there and I was immensely impressed by the care they took of us. The Venue was beautifully decorated and very clean, the food as usual was simply spectacular, our guests were raving, the two gentllemen (Arslan and Attaullah) who helped us with the event on the day were attentive and great to deal with, they made sure that all our guests and our needs were looked after. Also a special shout out to the manager Rizwaan who was amazing to deal with from the beginning for organising the event to picking the menu items and putting us at ease. The event was a roaring success and absolutely stress free. A big thanks to the Lahore Karahi team, we will definitely be hosting our next event here!

Lahore… Lahore has to be one of the worst places i’ve ever ordered from. Naan was cold and there was a hair in my samosa. If you want to be disappointed then this is the place to be. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN!!

Authentic food with generous portions

I was a medical student in tooting 14 years ago. I was worried that my fond memories of Lahore were fuelled by nostalgia and an unsophisticated taste. Well I revisited and the food at Lahore Karahi and the experience was top notch. Lovely food, amazing staff. Thank you Lahore!

Was in town so went in for a curry in a hurry. Ordered chicken shish, chana masala and pilau. All delicious!!! Spicing, salt, texture all 10/10, sizzling hot, service attentive and quick. All allergens clearly marked including gluten. Well recommended.

Loved thier charsi lamb karahi and butter chicken

Poor hygiene rating, 2 star out of 5!! 🤢🤮. Shame that the local council lets these fllthy places run with impunity, endangering public health. Avoid until they sort out their hygiene.

We tried the Halwa puri, which was authentic, the semolina was tasty and the puri were not oily.

The place hasn't changed I. Terms of atmosphere but the food is notnlike before. Went after mañy years but the dal roti has changed.

Very friendly Puri and paratha were light and fluffy, and not very oily. Nihari hot but not over powering. Everything balanced and well spiced.

If you want to wait a very long time 30-45 mins once booked and packed like a sardine this place is for you, the food is very good and very quick, it’s a great concept of bring your own booze, however it needs managed a lot better or expanded to cope with the amount of people wanting to eat here, fantastic place and staff were good, the meat has a taste Iv never experienced before in a curry was delicious! Would still recommend.

This place has changed a lot it used to be our favourite before. Prices went up and portions are way too small now comparing to before. Staff are miserable and when we complained that the rice is not cooked and crunchy they gave us half portion instead of replacing the whole portion. Very cheap behaviour. Also the meat Karahi was full of fat and chewy. And the chicken karahi only 3 pieces inside that big sauce. And on top their soft drinks are hot and when u ask for ice imagine they charge u. And now they charge £1.50 for the sauce that comes with starters which we didn’t even ask for. Very disappointed

Not impressed on visit this week, food was dry, could tell my biriani was heated up in the microwave some bits hot some cold. My wife’s chicken very dry. No flavour in the pickles.

I want to review Nadia, the only woman staff. She was absolutely brilliant. Very helpful. She really spent time helping us navigate the menu! Her service was so different from her male colleagues who slammed the dishes carelessly down onto table regardless of who ordered. Restaurant very busy and crowded. Food was basic but good. Oh it was Ramadan. Nadia explained she was fasting - and working in a restaurant and managing the extra hour due to the clocks changing! A delightful woman and a star shining above the rest of the staff. Thank you Nadia.

A tourist trap for locals. Food not bad but service the absolute minimum - they are so desperate to get you out before you even finish eating that it spoils the experience. There are many better options just along the road.

3.5 STARS I loved this place the first time I had it. The chicken karahi and tandoori roti were so delicious. But every time I went back I felt the taste was not the same. Also when it’s busy (and it usually is) the service is really slow and you have to call the staff multiple times before they actually come to you. After 4 times, I might think twice about going back again, maybe on a weekday when it’s quieter.

Some places are hyped but live up to the expectations. This is not one of them. When your mango lassi is the highlight of a meal, something isn’t right. It wasn’t bad, but definitely disappointing compared to the reputation. We walked in to see a big queue of helmeted Uber Eats drivers lined up at the counter like curry-seeking aliens. Didn’t bode well. Kitchens that get too busy with deliveries seem to lose focus on the in-house customers. But we stuck with it. Service was s…l…o…w. They didn’t even bother bringing us water. Lamb charsi karahi was mostly bone. When we did get a chunk of meat it was pretty tasty, but it did feel like looking for the golden ticket. The chicken karahi was oily and had clearly been sitting there for a while, as had the chana daal, since we had to stir the dishes up to see any kind of steam rising from them. The Peshwari naan was gleaming with oil and wet to the touch. Way too greasy. Their mango lassi was very nice, to be fair. Really hoped for more from this place.

Enjoyable restaurant and tasty food

Read and seen so many reviews about how amazing this place is so thought we must try it. Booked a table well in advance and when we got there we found a queue down the street! No one was walking the queue to take people out of it with reservations so we ended up waiting 25 minutes in a queue, outside in the rain that we didn't need to because it's so badly organised. Only got seated because I went up and spoke to a staff member who took us straight away or we'd still be waiting now. The food was nice but nothing amazing. It was all cooked nice and had good flavour but we were a bit underwhelmed by it. Also, because it's so busy, everyone is crammed in so it's definitely not the place to go for a romantic date or if you want a quiet meal, etc. Finally, staff are run off their feet quite literally so service is a bit slow.

They have great food and the fact that they are not selling coca cola makes me go eat and take food with myself every week.

Best curry in London! Book ahead or queue. BYOB. Staff are friendly and food is delicious. The atmosphere has a real hustle to it although that does mean they like to keep tables moving when it's super busy.

Really enjoyed our visit here, we had booked and it's recommended that you do as queues can get pretty long for a table. A lot of people seem to complain about the atmosphere but I honestly had no problem with it. Yes it's busy and yes it's quite a small space to try and fit the demand in but I wasn't looking for a place where I’d be dining alone. I found the food to be tasty and good vale for money. The bring your own for the alcohol was different for me but nice.

Prawn Karahi, Butter Chicken and Lamb chops are definitely the best! Great service too!

We were cold, wet, and tired from a day of traveling. With three kids, this can be a deadly combination. But when we walked into Lahore Karahi, our blues disappeared as we ordered and then received delicious food within minutes. Our server Farhan may as well have been on roller skates, he was going so fast. They do a really refreshing mango lassi here. If you're with a group, do everyone a favor and order the jug. The vegetable biryani was spicy and bright. The kids gobbled the butter chicken. The saag paneer was earthily rich. And I loved the chutney flight. The restaurant was full of all kinds of people -- families, older couples, young people out after work -- but everyone received the same gracious treatment and yummy food for a very reasonable price. It was just the welcome to London that we needed.

Went for meal out with my boyfriend this evening. We Ate our meal quite quickly as we were hungry but as soon as we had our last bite eaten, we were handed our bill and the table was cleared and the waiter asked us to leave because there was a queue. I understand this but we weren’t even given 5mins to digest, we were sat & out within 30mins after queuing for 20. Extremely bizarre since we still had drink in our glasses & everyone around us had been sat for 20mins before us but still had some food out so they weren’t moved. Extremely rude service from the staff, really cut our “nice” meal out short.

nicest curry in London, we have been twice now! we had two curries, shared a naan and rice, two drinks and it came to just over £30, thought some things were a bit too expensive but I guess that's just London. The butter paneer was the best paneer I've ever had! The staff are nice but took a while to bring over tap water and they don't seem too attentive but it's fine. One thing I did notice was the salt and pepper shakers were dirty. But would highly recommend!!

Went to Lahore Karahi today, have been before about 4/5 times. Sadly the quality of food and service has dropped so much. Started off with my order. I ordered a chicken charsi Karahi, and the waiter duly noted that. When the food arrived I had a bite only to find out that it was lamb!! When I called the waiter back to let him know about his mistake he kept insisting that I ordered lamb, but truth is I don’t even eat lamb so wouldn’t order it in the first place! He offered to change the dish but when the food arrived i realised it was microwaved, it was so obvious. The chicken was literally floating in oil. So disappointed!! Such a shame considering how good this place used to be. Don’t really recommend this place for Pakistani cuisine anymore. There are definitely better places in tooting and over London. Save your time and money folks !!

We came and our table was not available/ ready. We were after waiting shown upstairs where a 30 year d birthday party was going on! We were served plastic cups… which we complained about and after 30min we got glasses. We then waited over an hour and a half and we had not ordered our mains yet…

Amazing Pakistani food. Me and a bunch of South Indian folks came here because we were missing home food and enjoyed every bite! Apparently this place is a huge hit. It was so crowded. Luckily we had reservations so that would be recommended before coming. The queues are quite long and sometimes service can take a lot of time! Also this place is BYOB so don't forget to bring you drink of choice if you want alcohol with your food ALSO they support 🍉 and do not own any coca cola products - I was so impressed. They were selling something called Barr cola instead. So all people who wish to support businesses who support the BDS, I recommend this place to you :) Stuff we had that we enjoyed: samosa Chaat, papdi Chaat, the meat and veg samosas, Sindhi biriyani, mughlai biriyani, mango lassi

Good Pakistani food, lamb vindaloo was too hot for me but this kind of food and hotness varies from restaurant to restaurant, although they warn you it's very hot. Chicken biryani was good as well, had this zing which I like. Keema Naan could have been slight bigger for that price. I would recommend. Mine was takeaway order and can't review other thing than food.

Been here after a while, but food quality is not the same, looks like grill items is cooked from supermarket packets specially the kebab,small bottle of water cost £2.50 which is overpriced I guess.

ORACULAR SPECTACULAR The food is so nice that I was almost crying and not just cause was spicy but cause was so good my gooness the food was simply delicious just make sure you book a table cause is full packed all the time . ENJOY IT 😊

Considering how busy this Pakistani restaurant is it was a remarkably underwhelming experience. The tables and seats are tightly packed in, with much of the food pre-prepared and on display canteen style. Being so crowded and large glass windows only echoing the noise, it’s frequently as loud as rowdy pub at 9pm on a Friday night. Staff are very quick and keen to turn over the table as quickly as possible, so expect them to be cleaning your table down the moment you’ve paid, to prep for the next guests. When asked which of our dishes was which, we received a near indecipherable two second blast of “thatistikkamasakatharisbutterchicken” before he dashed off. So paradoxically service is both bad and very fast at the same time. But the biggest issue of all? The food just wasn’t that tasty. From poppadoms to naan, it was serviceable but uninspiring and inconsistent. The tikka masala was not too bad, but the butter chicken terrible. Lahore Karahi is definitely edible, especially if you like loud and lovely venues, but otherwise you’ve got plenty of better curry options along the High Street. The place is great. We had a HAJJ Dhawath Masha Allah and the food was absolutely amazing. I seriously enjoyed it. Staff was very good. Excellent 40th Birthday party. Staff are great, Nadia baji Arsalan bai Aytola bai. Food for my 40th Birthday was very nice, kheer was nice, Lohore Karahi is near our house.

Went on a Monday night and the food was lovely. However service was a bit slow and missing orders initially ( when we reminded they eventually came). We ordered drinks and also tap water, but the water took a few prompts to arrive! Hopefully just caught them on a bad night as food was good!! Would recommend the king prawn curry

Went with a group of 5 - we pre booked, which I’d definitely recommend as it was extremely busy and we went at 6.30. The food was really nice and everyone enjoyed their meal but the service really let it down. It felt like they couldn’t get us out fast enough once we had finished our mains, one guest was still eating and they were clearing away all our plates. It felt like we were just numbers to them. Overall, despite the food being lovely, I probably wouldn’t go again.

This has been my favorite restaurant for years. The food is amazing and never disappoints. However in last few years, after the refurbishment, it became so popular and overcrowded that it just lost its cosy atmosphere. It feels like there's too many tables, it's too loud, you can't really have a nice conversation while enjoying the great food anymore. Unfortunately, It feels a bit like a fast food place on a busy train station. Maybe the upstairs tables could be available as well?

Worst food ever, not even near to Lahori cuisine

Not good option if you want authentic desi breakfast. Literally warm the premade food in microwave and just serve Infront of you in poor manner. Went on recommendation but it wasn't a good experience. Tried dawat earlier, which was surely a better choice. Anyways, you never find good food places if you don't try new places.

This food variety is a mix of Pakistani and Indian. But the taste is certainly not Lahori.We tried nihari which was average, the mutton karahi was more curry then karahi and the biryani was just a variation of curry rice. So the taste is average and its just another restaurant. The service charges are just a way to steal as the service was poor.

I have been attending this restaurant for over 20 years, the food still tastes amazing ! The spicy is there and they can adjust to your taste buds. My personal favorites are lamb biryani and chicken biryani. There lamb haleem is mouth wateringly good I like mine spicy with lemon and yogurt. The tika fish is really nice crispy on the outside soft and flaky in the inside. The somosas are also really nice both types Punjabi and normal somosas. The staff are really nice friendly they are always happy to help you choose a dish and talk you through what's in the dish (new customers) I travel from my home to tooting once a month just to grab a takeaway! The nanas are also delicious 😋 The prices are not too high I manage to feed a family of 5 for roughly £37-40

Absolutely Disgusting!! How did they get a 5 star hygiene rating???? Ordered lamb kebab and the guy taking orders and handling my food also was taking cash off me and other customers!! No sanitation whatsoever. Avoid at all costs and just go across the road where much cheaper and cleaner.

Food was ok. Service was ok. Paneer was nice, mutton vindaloo was nice, chicken korma was not- tasted more like a staff curry with too much cardamom. Expensive for tooting broadway prices.

Super easy to book online and change our booking as we were running late. Super nice service and good (but loud) atmosphere. Imagine you are in in a bustling south asia market. Food was worth a go, we don't have the stongest spice tollorance and even there mild food had a kick.

If I could give this zero stars I honestly would. Just had the most tasteless takeaway of all time. The chicken tikka masala (a classic I didn’t think it was possible to mess up) was essentially orange tinged dishwater - it has absolutely no texture and had the consistency of water. You could see the stark whiteness of the chicken as the liquid slid off it. I wouldn’t mind so much if it tasted nice. It tasted of absolutely NOTHING at all. No coconut, no tomato (the two basic ingredients). I’ve honestly never had food like it. Do not order here it was absolutely vile.

We didn’t have a reservation but were seated pretty quickly… this place gets busy! They maximise for tables, so you are pretty crammed in, takes away from the atmosphere a bit but I understand why they do it. Food here is really good, the menu is varied and has a lot of options for veggie and meat lovers alike. Good flavours and decent portions.

4 out of 5. If you like PAKISTANI food you need to order from Lahore karahi. I found it the best in terms of taste, quality and prices as well..

🛑AVOID EVEN IF YOU ARE STARVING. Worst food ever, old meet and extremely bad taste of all the kebabs, only the bread was nice but the rest of thier dishes are probably the worst. It’s not recommended at all at unless you want to throw your money and time in the garbage.Try if you want to embarrass yourself in front of your guests. From Outside it looks decent but the food is terrible.

I had the king prawn tikka massala off the specials list and it was just 6 (six!) prawns in what looked like greasy Heinz tomato soup. It was lightly seasoned but I wouldn't ever recommend it or ever order it again. We went on a Friday night at 8pm, it was so busy we didn't have our order taken until 9pm and food arrived at 9.55pm. Overall not good for me at all, but the place has such a good reputation I'm guessing it isn't like this for everyone.

Lahore karahi has been our favourite for over 25 years,the food is authentic in taste and has never disappointed. It is a gem in Tooting and has never failed in its consistency. We have also enjoyed entertaining family functions, the catering is amazing as we recently got my wife’s birthday party food yesterday, supervised by the professional and accommodating Rizwan who oversaw the process. It was enjoyed by all our guests. Thank you Rizwan 〽️

Friday night - very popular so we had to take a 6.30pm booking. First time there and it's like being in a very upmarket fast food place which I wasn't expecting, so it felt a bit rushed although we weren't pressured by the staff to leave at all. The staff are constantly on the go and the place is buzzing with a lively atmosphere. The food is excellent and the staff knowledgeable and will help you choose. Take your own alcohol and pay £2.00per person for corkage. It's not the place for a quiet meal and you'll feel well fed and energized by the time you leave.

The food is sooo tasty and affordable! Everytime I go to Tooting, I make sure to eat at Lahore Karahi or get an on-the-go box. It is hard to beat!

I used to live in Tooting and loved this place so much so this review hurts me. We arrived ten minutes early- as we were a large group. We were then told to stand outside in the cold for 30 minutes. No acknowledgement as groups walked past us. We were shoved eventually into a seat meant for 8, elbows bashing. I asked for a larger seat which was beside us. Was told it was for another group which was larger- a group of 3 sat there. At dinner, our non drinkers weren’t served, we had to flag down service for the basics like ordering dinner. There was a hair in my food- I worked in hospitality, I get it. It happens- I got no apologies and then had to chase up staff to get a new plate and ‘new staff’. Service was rude and brusque throughout. So so disappointed and not sure I’ll be whack

Tables are too close together.. really hard to be comfortable/ relaxed, especially when the queue/ delivery chaps are staring at you constantly, there needs to be a screen. Noise level is ridiculous... needs some soft furnishings to soften it. Maybe there are too many people in too small a space. We had a table of 6 and couldn't have a conversation. We hadn't even finished, and our plates were being cleared. We had to stop them clearing glasses that still had drink in. We requested water and then had to request it again when it hasn't arrived. The Mughlai Biryani was not correct it was without fruit and nuts etc. and so hot it was inedible with no sauce.. Prawn Biryani the same.. way too hot and really dry. Neither had any flavours. Really hoping we don't have to eat here again.

Took the paya and charsi chicken karahi. Hashir served us and really well. I had a bad experience earlier but today they made it right. Very nice taste and good quantity and right price charged . 5 stars to Hashir .

I ordered through Uber eats. The absolute worst curry and separately takeaway I've ever had. Bits of chicken that fell apart before you even touched them and the "sauce" was just oil, absolutely no flavour either. My partner had the samosa and said it was passable, but neither of us could eat more than 2 bites of our curry. Garlic naan is the only thing that had strong flavour and it was off-putting. I don't know where the other reviews ate, because it wasn't from Lahore Karachi Tooting.

Went there for an old work Xmas party in December 2023. Was running late so asked my colleagues to order a chilli paneer for me and aloo paratha. They did not have aloo paratha then so asked for the Tawa Chapathi. When I got there, it was very crowded and loud. We were sat upstairs and the food came fairly quickly. I got my chilli paneer but had they didn't bring the chapathi. When i asked the waiter, he said he will look into it but went and asked for other customers for their orders. I had to ask 2-3 times for my chapathi. He then went to ask the kitchen and came back to say it will take 2 mins to prepare. After 5 mins, he came and said it will actually take time to prepare the chapathi and if i can have rice instead. I had to agree to that and they brought me pulao rice which was more expensive! No apology given whatsoever. Their chilli paneer was odd, most places have peppers etc but this was just paneer with some sauce that was spicy. Wasn't as tasty. Overall, good food if you're British white and would like to try Pakistani food but as a brown person, this was not even remotely close to Asian food I've had in the past! Staff need more customer service training. Also overpriced.

I haven't been here for over ten years, the chicke charsi karahi was excellent, chicken on the bone , tender and cooked in a very flavourful spicy sauce , lots of aromatics. Roti was a wonderful accompaniment. Mango lasso was super fresh and tasty. Tooting is a destination for good Pakistani curry. Don't miss out
