It's cheap but the quality of food is bad. Everything in the iftar menu was tasteless, the only decent thing were kebabs. I vomited right after leaving the restaurant

One of the most underrated restaurant in the hub of tooting! On a random visit, we walked In and ordered some starters and mains suggested by Mr. Khalid, he is so experienced in his work that he suggested all the food which we were looking for! Nihari was so awesome that we couldn't resist ourself to order more. Big thanks to Mr Khalid. Great job!

Worst place I’ve ever visit. Spent £26 here just about 20 mins ago and would not recomend this place to anyone. Ordered chicken Karahi which was uncooked. With big slices of tomatoes.😣 Palak paneer which was not fresh. Biryani with zero tast and presentation.

It is one of the best restaurant. I am a foodie person, so I always try different restaurants and specifically small restaurants. I concluded that most of time these kind of restaurants teste is ten times better as compared to the big restaurants. Yesterday I went in this restaurant their tikka fish and chicken biryani taste was amazing specially juicy tikka fish. Everyone for whom sitting and other things doesn't matter they love the taste I will recommend them to go and tried ones.

A delightful ambiance, and the staff is exceptionally courteous. The food is delicious, accompanied by a fresh salad. The owner is incredibly kind and caring.

The food in this restaurant is consistently excellent. Flavours are complex, intense and well balanced. Food is clearly freshly prepared to order and it's totally worth the short wait as good things come to those who wait ;) We also love the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I came to restaurant last Friday and I have ordered Mixed grill and some side dishes Lamb karahi and chicken biryani and Haleem ,We were four people ,We love mixed grill and the fish was outstanding and Don’t ask me about the haleem which was amazing taste

I love the food here. I find the variety of the menu brilliant. I love their samosas in particular. Their are very few Indian restaurants in London that serve authentic Indian food, so you must try this place. I have to agree with one of the reviewers about the food not being good if you get a take away. They take long to deliver. I am giving this place a high rating based on my experience when I have eaten in. The naan bread is the best I have ever had. I do not advise you to get a take away, but go their in person and experience some good authentic Pakistani food.

Really nice, hospitable, generous lady seems to run the place. I was there for a takeaway, she gave me something to eat from the Iftar buffet while waiting for my takeaway and insisted I waited at a table even as customers came in for the buffet. The food is freshly made so can take a while but it's worth the wait. Some mains are a little expensive but much of the menu is cheaper than neighbouring restaurants. I wish the food was more spicy but I'll ask for more chili next time.

The worst restaurant and service I have ever received 😓.I ordered a chicken biryani and the staff didn't even care to serve me the compliments like raita and achar which you'll get from any restaurant who serves biryani. The interesting thing was at that time I was the only customer they had !!! When I went to the counter to pay I wanted to know why they didn't serve me the compliments and I asked the staff and he replied next time when you come in you should ask for that but the interesting thing is that they served the compliments to other customer who came after without even asking them. The way this restaurant cheat people is so funny you'll get compliments only if you are a regular customer If you are first time don't expect them to treat you well

Food tastes ok but way over-priced for this basic little place, many items more expensive than you find in the far larger and busier restaurants on that road.

A bit more quiet but plenty of meals at good prices. Clean toilets 🤪 jovial person and grub cooked quickly.. Very good for students, oaps And NHS staff.. if the other places are packed come here five minutes from each station

Me and my friends visited this restaurant a couple nights ago and we were greeted by lovely, warm customer service and a wide variety of options to choose from. The chicken jalfrezi and lamb biriyani were succulent and full of flavour, especially with the fresh garlic naan. I really recommend this place!!

Really awful place with awful management. Had a horrid time, 8 of us squeezed on to a table for 6 even though we phones and reserved for 8 guests. Food was not great. Would not recommend to anyone.

My husband and I have been eating at this restaurant for the past 5 years so a review is well overdue! We will not eat in or order from any other Indian or Pakistani restaurant in the area because we know it won't be as good as Al Mirage. No matter what we order, it is always delicious, fresh, and good portion sizes. Not at all oily and greasy like some others can be. Our favourites include the steamed masala fish, tandoori lamb chops and lamb kehari. I think the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of food, the staff are always so polite and friendly with us. I've lost count of the amount of times we have eaten here, but we have thoroughly enjoyed it every single time. Highly recommend!!

Terrible food and service No covid measures in place. Staff coughing and shaking hands and then putting plates on table. Food was cold and bland and definitely not worth the money. Stay well clear of this place

charged full amount during eat out to help out scheme and refused to give 50% off and instead asked to come back next time and they will give some discount. Food was served very small portions and after comparing about it Guy works on front counter started using very Foul language. Very very bad customer service.

One of the best restaurants on the High Street. The staff are really friendly, the food is superb and the prices are better. Most importantly, this place is CLEAN!!! Hygiene is really important to me and Al Mirage is very safe.

I have been coming here for roughly around 11 years and can genuinely say this is probably the best restaurant for Pakistani food! The mixed grill is always the showstopper and would highly recommend it!

The place its dirty and the food is not nice at all

Food that served was below a good standard. Place was dirty and the toilet upstairs lacked running water. I was charged for mineral water despite asking for tap water. Onion bhajis were bad and not spicy, meat was not cooked properly and mostly fat. Very bad food would not recommend it to anyone.

I have just read the previous review and can not figure out what this man is talking about. I feel he must have a personal vendetta against this place. My wife and children will not eat anywhere else in tooting apart from this place. Their food is fresh even for a kebab roll the naan and kebabs are made fresh in front of you. Their fish can not be matched by anyone on the high street!!!!!!!! Well done Al Mirage I will always be back with all my family and friends

What a night.most disappointing experience. Where do I start, what a messy interior, I think the place is back dated, bulbs fused, went to wash hands, no hot water and disgusting bathrooms. Now it was time to order food. So many fantastic choices on the menu ,its was so difficult to decide,finally decided on 9 dishes. They all looked the same as if they were pre made, i think left overs from last night,asked for mild tasting , recieved very spicy. The dishes, well what can I say , perhaps you could serve paper plates and paper glasses.Terrible.Ordered 13 roti, got all 13 as if they were from last night dinner left overs.Ordered the fish, recieved bits of left overs, they looked as if the cook left them to over fry, arrived dark brown. Sorry owner...waste of time coming here. No way ever returning What a disappointment. If it wasn't for such great company, I would have left.

A few years back arranged a party, was charged full amount but had to ask several times to serve enough food. Would not recommend at all.

Terrible place, Prices has rised however quality has decreased, the food was not enjoyable, during payment, i was not given my change back properly as they "Had no change," i lost about £4 and the food was not enjoyable at all.

An excellent place to eat in Tooting. The food is well prepared, very tasty and there are many dishes to choose from. The "Auntie" who takes your order is very welcoming and adds to the enjoyment of visiting. One small piece of advice that I would give is to turn down the volume on the wall mounted TV, with all due respect it is not what everyone wants to hear.

Please everyone dont ever visit this place, its disgusting , in ramzan they are serving food which is not even cooked properly and even if its cooked it tastes like an expired one. Very very tasty food at a reasonable price but watch out not to park outside the restaurant. It will cost you 65 pounds 80 dollars because the parking spot is reserved to street merchants and there is a cctv camera watching it...beware....

Have dined here every few months recently and the food is certainly as good as you can get anywhere in Tooting. The service is pleasant and polite. Prices are reasonable and the restaurant is comfortable.It is also more relaxing and less 'noisy' than other restaurants so at least you can have a conversation here without having to shout. The only downside is that the toilets could be cleaner, and perhaps the place overall could do with a redecoration. There are also various kitchen utensils and other things at the back of the restaurant making it look slightly messy and would be good if these were hidden from the view of customers. But overall, this is the best place in Tooting for top quality food and look forward to returning soon.

The lady waitress was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The premises are clean and the food is excellent. We come to Tooting a lot to eat but have never tried this place. Glad we did because it's a new favourite. Updated.... watch the chap who minds the till because they don't provide an itemized bill and he has a habit of overcharging !

Have been to Al-Mirage in Tooting before as well, but couldn't help notice that there were hardly any customers at Lunch. Perhaps too much competition?? Service was quick. We had Masala fish (quite good) , bhunna gosht (which wasn't too good) and naan. This was served with salad, chutney and raita.

Not that impressed at all... quality and service fallen significantly... use to have the best biryani in town... not what if use to be like.... very sad

We just went there to eat today, because we wanted to try something new. The food was okay and when we got the bill, we were surprised to find they charge for salad and onions separately!!!!! Unbelievable!!!

We went hunting for a restaurant and walked in the first thing we noticed was the smell and stench and it was very strong. It was early afternoon around just before 1pm on Saturday afternoon and smell that put me off the food. The entire restaurant smelt like human feces like in a busy men’s lavatory. I would not eat in this place as there is no hygiene standard food was in big trays displayed and when asked would it be cooked reply was they just heat it up. They need to tackle that smell it’s awful the hygiene is extreme poor where are the HSE. I will be reporting them.

Has 5 star for hygiene Good portions Clean place Been here a couple times definitely a safe bet to go to. Also has a lift for those with disability on to the first floor. That's where their toilets are.

We went as a group of three and ordered 2 dishes with chapatis for us. We weren’t even given salad while we waited. When the food came we were stunned. There was hardly enough food for one person never mind three! The two dishes had been served in tiny bowls! Complete rip off. Will not be going there again!

El biryani se calentó En el microondas, el pakora estaba extremadamente seco, el Somosa no estaba cocinado adecuadamente, y cuando se lo mostré dijeron que no se podía cocinar porque lo cocinaban dos veces, lo que significa que no era fresco. también. En general, tuve una experiencia muy mala en este lugar y nunca volvería. Si los propietarios están buscando, por favor obtenga nuevos chefs como los que usted no sabe cómo cocinar en absoluto. Gracias, pero no recomendaría este lugar en absoluto.

Great food and clean! Best Pakistani food on the high street! Samosas, dhal and keema are my favoured masala fish. Not much of an atmosphere to sit and eat in though as they don't well alcohol or permit byob but can't fault the food on a takeaway.

PROS: Food was great and if you are looking for good pakistani taste this is the place. Not over priced and service is quick and friendly. CONS: Parking is a problem here. Plus staff needs to do better job on cleaning before asking guests to sit. I had to go get staff to get tables clean again.
