Wagamama in Wandsworth

Visited Wagamama today, and I must say the manager was incredibly supportive with our family order and very accommodating. The food wasn't quite up to par today, but the service made up for it.

Great place to eat, quick service, food always perfect, lovely noisy atmosphere

Avoid. Ve a la sucursal de la central eléctrica de Battersea, que es genial. Hemos visitado ambas sucursales varias veces en los últimos años y no volveré aquí. Al llegar a la mitad - sucursal completa del lado sur, espera junto a la puerta mirando mesas libres y personal aburrido tratando desesperadamente de evitar el contacto visual y esconderse / parecer ocupado. Cuando finalmente alguien te saluda, no tienes idea de lo que dijeron mientras se alejan para fingir que hacen otra cosa. Alguien más eventualmente viene y el ciclo se repite. Eventualmente te sientas: el banco y la mesa están untados de grasa. La comida se pone caliente, en el mejor de los casos, y el servidor simplemente la mantiene en el aire en medio de su grupo hasta que alguien la toma. Lo mismo con las bebidas. Esto es incluso cuando queda una persona y es cegadoramente obvio para quién es la bebida / comida. Silencio hosco y sin sonrisa. Servidores diferentes. Siempre el mismo trato. Los niños no reciben un trato diferente. Y de alguna manera los mismos platos saben muy, muy poco bien... una experiencia completamente diferente a la otra sucursal cercana. Literalmente no hay razón para venir aquí. No es agradable.

My partner and I dined at Wagamama Wandsworth yesterday and the food in partocular the new honey chicken was amazing. What was even better was their staff in particular a lovely lady named Gill or Jill (not sure of the spelling) but she was particularly friendly, helpful and had a great personality, very cheerful and funny.

Latest Review 27/12/24 Birthday dinner for my 15yr old. Busy but not packed. Attentive staff. Tama Squid available this time :) enjoyed shitake udon , salmon teriyaki, veg goyza and a couple kids meals. All excellent. Finished off nicely with a very tasty meringue fruit desert. Very happy :) Somewhat regular visitor of this and other branches. This time I was with two kids (pre-teen & teen). Disappointingly no Tama Squid today, offered ebi katsu (tasty but small portion for the price). Kids menu good as usual. Spicy miso mackerel was nice (was hoping it would fill me up more), more kimchi and sweet potato would have been nice. The Salmon Teriyaki was good as usual. Atmosphere 3/5 as there was a Very Loud kids party (unexpected for a Sunday night).

Consistently good experience at Wagamama restaurants. This was my first visit to this branch and it didn't disappoint.

Came in, wasn’t allowed to sit at the table until they took me there even with loads of people waiting and complaining as free tables were visible. Once sat at the table I was told to order on table 121 but when I typed that into the website there was already an order there to be paid. Asked the person what is happening and I was told I can just pay for it… not my order tho… a second staff member came and advised it was number 141 actually and when I typed that in the website it said the table didn’t exist. The staff member than walked away LOL after a few minutes a polite staff member came to take our order finally. Faith in humanity restored.

Jill and the rest of the staff were absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious as always. Highly recommend the gyoza - chicken, and pork ramen.

The food is not always cooked well, sometimes the rice noddles will be over cooked and smashed as one piece. Other times the food will arrive so cold or sauce spilled. It depends on the team in the kitchen on that day and the delivery man.

I am very impressed with the food ... delicious, warm and nicely served. Very good and large selection of Asian dishes. Nice service and the team preparing the food, especially the chefs Grzegorz and Adam. I highly recommend it and will definitely go back there.

Calm atmosphere. Good service and food

I would give 0 star if possible. Chicken Yakatori and Chicken Gochujang Rice Bowl were both flavourless, stone cold and were presented with a small portion of meat. The Chicken Gochujang Rice Bowl was comparable to cooked and sliced supermarket chicken that had been boiled. Portion of this meat was incredibly small. No spicy gochujang flavour. The veg was miserable looking and wilted horribly. Received £12 refund for a £52 order in total from Deliveroo. Just disgraceful. Everyone's food stone cold and flavourless.

Ordered a wagamamas from Wandsworth on Deliveroo. Came missing salad, and the cutlery we’d requested. The mushroom bao buns were disappointing. Due to my missing salad, I paid £14 for a katsu curry which was just chicken sauce and rice. Felt absolutely ripped off. Deliveroo would not automatically credit me so I had to waste time making a complaint with them. As a relatively expensive takeaway option this was very disappointing.

Dee! Has the best customer service!! What a delight.. an asset to wagamama and deserves a raise.. polite! Takes initiative and is considerate and kind. Perfect customer service!! Will be bringing all my friends here so they can get served by the Dee-lightful! Dee! :D

Staff was very patient and kind! Unfortunately a couple of things ran out, but the food and drinks we were able to get were still super tasty! Hooray!

Gill was an amazing manager! I have allergies and she was great in helping pick the best option as well as helping my mother in law when she wasn’t a big fan of her food choice. 10/10, she’s the reason I’d come again!

We recently dined at Wagamama at Wandsworth on our wedding anniversary and had the pleasure of being served by Gabriel knows as Gabi. The experience was outstanding, largely due to her exceptional service. From the moment we were seated, Gabi was attentive and welcoming. Gabi provided excellent recommendations, clearly knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure we had the best dining experience. Gabi friendly demeanor and positive attitude made us feel right at home. Throughout our meal, Gabi checked in with us just the right amount, ensuring our drinks were refilled and that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Gabi handled special requests with ease and accommodated dietary preferences with a smile. The highlight was when Gabi noticed our indecision about main meal and offered a detailed description of each option, helping us choose the perfect ending to our meal. Overall, Gabi demonstrated what excellent customer service looks like, making our visit to Wagamama truly memorable. I highly recommend Gabi service to anyone dining there and hope to be served by her again in the future.

Visito Wagamamas en varias partes del sur y sureste y esta fue la primera vez en Wandsworth. Nunca más. El personal era encantador y atento por lo tanto las dos estrellas sin embargo la comida era muy decepcionante. ¡Tenía la ensalada de pollo Katsu, que era la ensalada de hojas de lechuga más cara que he probado! ¡Fue un poco como un chapuzón muy poco afortunado en hojas de lechuga! El cuenco estaba lleno de ellos, pero poco de nada más. Encontré 4 o 5 judías Edamame, 2 rodajas finas de manzana, pepino y pepinillo, sin brotes de guisante y 4 rodajas muy finas de pollo. Cambié el chile por jengibre por el que me cobraron. El camarero amablemente me trajo una tarifa más frijoles edamame y tomó el jengibre de la cuenta sin embargo, sintiéndose un poco estafado pagando £ 13. 50 por un tazón de hojas de lechuga!

This was my first time here and it was a good time. The food options are good - one of our party is vegan and was able to order easily. My rice bowl with chicken was good and the portions are healthy sized. I would go back.

My local Wagamama. Great restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. Modern importantly food is great! Couple times I've had to send food back as it was overcooked but staff assisted without quibble and in professional manner. Highly recommended

Always good option for a quick bite or a catchup! Food arrives whenever it is ready but haven’t had to wait too long between everyone’s food coming out. Their menu has just updated with alot of new stuff! Their appetizers are the best.

I love coming to Wagamama. I felt particularly adventurous this day and went on my own. The way the tables are set up, I didn’t feel awkward and enjoyed my meal

I like Wagamama but tonight the food and service was not good. My gf ordered a dish that's supposed to come with a fried egg. They brought the dish and only then informed us they don't have eggs at 8pm on a Friday night.... The dish was returned and nobody came over to take a replacement order. My own raiskuree was bland but i eat it without complaining. I will vote with my wallet instead. Disappointed

My experience was the best, I had the nicest and warmest welcome I was served by a nice and sweet staff and I love every bit of it and the food was fantastic.

Was very hungry and decided to try local Wagamama based near Southside shopping centre. It was busy with lots of families and kids. Did get a nice table at the back, and the lady who sat me was very friendly and attentive. Service was quick, and my rammen dish with grilled chicken was delicious. Thank you to the staff and cheff.

Wagamama is a great restaurant in general, but the one in wansworth is vibrant and spacious. The staff work very efficiently, are friendly and accommodating. I was served by a woman called Colleen and had great banter with a server called Aslam. I went for dinner with a friend and we ordered a Vegatsu & Chicken Ramen. It was delicious. This place is beautiful with amazing lighting and good seating. A prefect place for an intimate gathering. There are a vast array of good vegan options and allergies are taken very seriously. During my most recent visit (2024), I went again with my cousin and it was lovely. Darlyn the manager at the time was phenomenal. Well-versed in the best food options on the menu, good vibe and hardworking. Darlyn is a darlinggggg. Love her. She ensured we got our food on time, was very engaging and exuberant. AJ our server was also very friendly. We ordered the Chicken hotpot and the Tofu hopot....absolutely delicious. Lovely flavours and the steamed rice cakes were the best. (I had never had them before and they are soft)

Had an amazing experience in wagas today was served by Jake and he recommended the steak teriyaki soba and it was divine!

Was there early, so pretty empty. First time having the veggie ramen. Superb!

This restaurant always delivers and never disappoint. It’s a great place to share a meal with the whole familyService is efficient , food is ready quickly and quality is great , even for takeaway they’re much better than other wagamama I have tried.

The quality of the food is definitely a 5. Unfortunately, I had a ramen and the amount of food was poor. Too much water and not so much content. However, I had another option and it was excellent.

Food lacked flavour, needed more seasoning, I dunno I expected tastier dishes. however the service was spot on, couldn't fault the waiting team.

We held a children's birthday party here. The staff went above and beyond, especially Nelson who made huge efforts to ensure the children all had a great time and enjoyed their meal, and that everything went smoothly. Food came very promptly. Thank you!

I today visited Wagamamas with my family and had a disappointing encounter with the manager (Viv). When we arrived, we were seated on high bar stools, which were not suitable for our young children. I politely asked if we could sit at a different table that would be more comfortable for our family, but instead of accommodating our request, the manager rolled her eyes and sent us back to the queue. It was a frustrating experience, and it seemed like the manager was not interested in providing good customer service. It was nothing like the communication and a more customer-centric approach we are used to from a Wagamamas managers.

Really amazing food, average-ish prices.

Had a good time as we dropped in sometime between lunch and dinner. Food quantity and quality is always up to their standard. All the dishes we had were great, except for the veg gyoza- hard pass. It didn’t have much taste at all. The Cherry blossom mocktail is now my absolute favourite!!! Very good service and the overall relaxed and open ambience adds to the experience. Will definitely return!

Delicious freshly cooked wagamama dishes. Opens early for lunch, ie 11 am so great for those who need to eat early. Service could be better. Tend to be ignored once seated.

Wagamama has always been a stable option to choose if you want a good lunch or dinner, great pan-asian/Japanese food with loads of vegan/vegetarian options. Great service too.

Terribly noisy environment with medium quality food (not bad in terms of spices or flavour, freshness etc but it could be way better). People pay for the brand here and not necessarily for quality.. remember this before you chose wmama. If you are planning to have long conversations with your friend, your partner go someplace else.. As I mentioned: Noisy! Staff is helpful but slightly repetitive at times. For this amount of money I believe you will easily find a better place.

The best wagamama of London! I always go with my children and they always make me feel comfortable and do whatever they can to please us! And the food is amazing, lots of vegan options!

Everything about the food was 10/10, including the range of food for vegans.

Nelson (store manager) has a disgusting attitude and can't speak in a formal and respectful manner to his colleagues and customers. There are other workers that should have his spot like Sarah who does her job perfectly. Anyways the katsu curry with noodles was fresh and tasty.

1st time visiting this branch in Wandsworth as our local in Wimbledon was closed. The extra journey was worth it - we all ordered a variety of starters and mains all of which tasted amazing - thank you to the chef!! Restaurant was busy but as a group of 5 we were seated as soon as they could find us a table. Staff were really cheerful & worked hard but special mention to Dee (Dionne) who despite being so busy took great care of us with a lovely smile - Thank you!

Just passed by 9:40pm kitchen is closed, shouldnt really be advertising that it closes at 10pm if your kitchen closes at 9:30pm. I leave in the area left home quickly just to grab a bit. Will be avoiding this place now.

Awful place, poor service, waiters that sit down at you table to take an order... That is if you are lucky enough to be served and showed to your table in a first place because 3 members of staff were struggling with servicing 9 tables, This is not the first time l have a poor experience in wagamama wandsworth, it must be the worst branch of it l have ever been to

한국인 입맛에 딱맞는 퓨전일식집입니다. 야키우동(£13.5) 추천합니다!! 돈부리도 맛있어요. 그치만 조금 소스가 많아서 짠,, 체리블로썸레몬에이드는 아쉬웠어요ㅠㅠ 매장 분위기도 좋고 깔끔합니다! 완전 추천!

I recently went to Wagamama on Southside, it was cold and I was starving. I was kindly greeted and served by the lovely lady, Sarah. She was so nice and patient. She gave great care when I asked for a dish recommendation, turns out it was delicious! I was impressed by the level of her service and would happily come back to be served by her again. The manager was so rude . By his mistake, we all had our foods but my daughter had to wait for half an hour more . I shared my dinner with her as she was so hungry and when I complained he said mistakes always happen. And then he said don't talk to me like that as your daughter's dish gonna be from house and he left before I finish my words .

I only leave reviews when I really appreciated the time I had, special thanks to Darlyn for taking care of us. Yes we waited quite a while for ramen but they compensated sympathetically and took it off the bill without us asking. Not a lot of places do which shows how much they care. So five stars to the food and service

As always professional and extremely tasty food. Clean and tidy, staff are very friendly and efficient. This particular branch is local to us so we do visit it regularly. Kids also love it.

The most important, the food was very tasty and yummy. Not busy. No welcomes. Few smiles.

I came in on Saturday with a friend that hadn’t been to Wagamama’s before. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door by my lovely host, Lex. She was very welcoming and helpful, and managed to provide us with a table within five minutes, maybe less. Her customer service was excellent and she was incredibly helpful! I would love to be served by her again on my next visit.

Had absolutely no clue what I was going to order, until Lex came and helped me out. I ordered what she recommended and it was absolutely amazing. Great customer service and a great vibe overall :))

Disappointed! Normally, service would be fine. However, I had to 5 min to be seated ( it was not busy) then had to at least 10 min for my order to be taken! The staff were more concerned with tidying tables, a member of staff walked pass my table to attend to other customers or had already been served, again they were not busy. When I brought the situation to their attention, a staff even admitted to 'not seeing me!' What makes it situation even worse - I was hungry!!!!

Not my first choice, but food was OK. Not exactly tasty that I wanted to return, but tasty that I was able to eat all. Lychee drink lacked lychee and was £4.50 for a glass of tonic water in my opinion. I can't say I was impressed. Although others in the group have been several times and enjoyed the experience. It wasn't for me.

I guess expecting a noodle bar to serve hot side dishes was too much. My dish was not freshly made and had been partially warmed up and then served. The rest of my party enjoyed their curry but the gyozu was charred.

I came this this place yesterday 30 minute before the closing cause they let us know before ordering . The food was nasty We didn’t finish our plate we ordered ramen soup and rice The noodle was overcook ??! Overcook noodle Feel like the noodle was seating inside the noodle since the morning .. The rice came with LOT of sauce and small portion of rice and the sauce was very bitter . . I think the chef was upset cause the we can near the closing time or whatever I know how is work in the kitchen when you come in certain time and I wasn’t lucky !

Delivered quickly but the extremely bland, oily, small and cold portions of Pad Thai (I had 4 bits of tofu in mine) were really disappointing. Really not worth the £36!

I have Read the reviews most of which are fantastic however my experience did not match to one of those reviews. My husband and I ordered our meals at Wagamama Wandsworth. I’m gluten free so had a menu with very limited choice. I opted for the pad Thai and he a curry. The pad Thai arrived and was not much bigger than a starter portion. The rice noodles were broken into tiny bits and felt too soft. I did not enjoy the texture of this dish although the flavour was nice. As for my husbands dish. Well can’t comment because it did not turn up although we had been waiting for 45 minutes. On mentioning this to one of the staff she was surprised but not apologetic. Our waitress saw us get up and leave knowing my husband had not been brought his meal and also did not apologise to us. We will not be visiting again instead will go to the wonderful, Vietnamese opposite Wandsworth Town station called Viet Town, great food, great prices and a vast gluten free choice , freshly made and totally authentic.
