Nice fresh Italian food, friendly staff and good location for central Tunbridge Wells. Would recommend for a casual evening dinner.

Walking around Tunbridge Wells and this restaurant caught both mine and my partners eye! As we walked in we kindly greeted and made to feel welcome instantly. Staff were attentive and polite, always refilling our wine for us, asking if there is anything we need etc. The food was excellent! To start me and my partner had the fried calamari! Absolutely delicious and definitely worth the try. Then me and my partner moved onto our mains. He ordered a Lamb Dish, which tasted unbelievable! I then ordered the Smoked Salmon and Courgette Tagliatelle, this was honestly one of my favourite pasta dishes i ever tasted. The flavours of this were unreal and my partner was trying to eat some of mine after he had finished his dish. For deserts I ordered the Chocolate Lava Cake and my Partner ordered the Panna Cotta. I must say although the Lava Cake was excellent… the Panna Cotta was exceptional! Both me and my partner were blown away by how amazing it was. Ive never known a Panna Cotta to be so well made and light and creamy… if i went there again i would definitely be ordering the Panna Cotta for myself and i would recommend it to anyone else! Although at point service was a bit slow, who could blame them, to no surprise the restaurant was packed full of people waiting to try their outstanding food! I would recommend this place without a doubt if you love amazing food and perfect hospitality!

Can recommend this wonderful restaurant. I had a lovely steak,my partner had lovely italian sausage and my mum had lovely fish. Wonderful food,friendly staff. Nice atmosphere can recommend.

11 of us ate at LogodiComo last might to celebrate my husband’s birthday and Mateo and his team made it a special evening from start to finish. When I booked a few weeks in advance the communication via email with Mateo was always quick and easy. On the night all the staff made us very welcome and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. I would thoroughly recommend.

We came here last week for mid week dinner after seeing great reviews (never been to this area before) nice location and interior very nice looking lit up romantically and just a nice looking small spot, greeted warmly by staff which was very nice felt very comfortable. Had a bit of banter with the waiter which was nice, he was very friendly however he did swear which I don’t mind but other people may not like also made one comment I thought ooo ok, all tongue and cheek though! But having said that maybe I’m just uptight and he really did make us feel welcome and would rather that than someone that isn’t friendly. I had this king prawn pasta, the food came out so fast as in 10/15 minutes after we ordered which I was shocked about because the restaurant was fairly busy which was a bit strange,I get 4 prawns they were nice, pasta was a little cold I was going to send it back but didn’t want to make a scene. I had chocolate mouse for desert, again ok. An issue I do have is adding service charges I always tip but I believe you should tip what you think the service is worth, I guess every restaurant does it now or most, however adding a 12.5% service charge on top is steep and that left a sour taste in my mouth. Overall nice little spot for a date, food okay nothing memorable, friendly staff. Might return…wouldn’t run back it was just ok.

Having heard some great reviews, we have been meaning to try Lago for ages…have visited the premises many times over it various guises, but not in its current form. So when looking for a Valentines venue I thought let’s give it a go. And I’m really glad that we did. It is a great venue for a restaurant, and it looked really lovely. The staff were very friendly and very attentive, despite it being very busy and most tables turned. The food was wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed our lunch - a traditional Italian. Beautifully presented food, , a wide choice including gluten free options. Lovely touch at end of meal when jar of jelly beans arrived to take a few! Staff were excellent- efficient and friendly. Would return. Thank you!

I can’t recommend this place enough! The food is just amazing. The best Italian I’ve had since eating in Italy! I wish I found it sooner but I’m already planning another visit. It’s a lovely atmosphere and staff are very friendly. I look forward to another visit trying some different food from the menu. Oh and great selection of wine.

We were visiting Tunbridge for one night and after reading the reviews for Lago we decided we need to go here and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was fantastic and Matteo was warm and welcoming the food and wine were excellent and at the end of the night we were pleasantly surprised by the bill. Thoroughly recommend this lovely Italian 🇮🇹

This is simply the best Italian I have been to in recent memory. It’s tricky to find a top-notch Italian that’s not run-of-the-mill bog standard dishes as you find in chains. This is delicious, real Italian food with wonderful staff. Great, friendly service and certainly the best Italian in Tunbridge Wells, perhaps even Kent.

My birthday dinner. Such a find, "proper italian food" and friendly efficient service. Pasta is beautifully cooked, varied menu. Will definitely be going again. Loved the wine by the glass as well. They phoned us the next day as they had found a gold bracelet under the table and remembered we had sat there. I hadn't even noticed I had lost it but was so grateful as it had sentimental value. Everything an independent restaurant should be, we both loved it.

'Italian Cuisine' actually does not exist. It is a term of convenience rarely used by Italians. The cooking of Italy is really the cooking of its regions and each region and often cities within the same region are autonomous on so many levels - language, geography, climate, temperament, appearance of the people - but especially the food. It is so refreshing to have a restaurant that celebrates the food of northern Italy. Not exclusively, but predominantly. Slow cooked meat dishes, lamb, veal and pork, the use of butter, cream, polenta, porcini, sausages, rice, beans feature strongly and proudly and long may it continue. In my opinion, this is the best 'Italian' restaurant in Kent. Matteo and Paula are clearly passionate about preparing, serving and showcasing a homecooked authentic style of food that I only ever remember having in the province of Parma, Liguria and Milano. We had a Sunday lunch birthday party for my daughter and son with 22 family and friends aged from 10 months to 77. The organisation before and during was excellent with a great choice of food and fabulous cocktails. Everyone raved about their meals. The atmosphere was terrific and Matteo and his staff could not have done more to make it a smooth and enjoyable experience.

A great find. We stayed one night in Tunbridge Wells and given the Five Star reviews, we booked this fabulous place for dinner. It was a Saturday evening so we could only get a later table but it was worth it. Food, wine and service were superb. Staff were a joy. And the atmosphere buzzy and welcoming. What a find. We unexpectedly ended up in Royal Tunbridge Wells on a Thursday night and stumbled across this buzzing, full Italian restaurant. Amber glow through the window, customers laughing, eating and drinking - we had to be part of this vibe. The host waitress was charming and gave us their last table upstairs ( a table for 5 but immediately cleared to accommodate the 2 of us) we had one of the best nights for a long time. We sampled some delicious and well executed dishes, plenty of good red wine, cosy comfortable surroundings ( we were the last to leave 😬) and excellent service. Our upstairs waitress ( with the marathon running boyfriend) was first rate and absolute joy. We met the charming owner, born and bred in Lake Como. He runs a happy tight ship and we wish them all well.

We can to my favourite Italian Restaurant to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We were not disappointed the food was great. Service with a smile. We were just visiting Tunbridge Wells, walking around looking for somewhere for an early dinner. We were very fortunate that we chose Lago. A friendly welcome and a jug of water was brought with the menus. We ordered a glass of wine each and olives whilst deciding. The olives were juicy and delicious. My partner chose Nduja and mascarpone pasta, he found tasty, it would have been too hot for me. My seafood linguine was delicious, a good mixture and amount of seafood; usually such a dish is tomato sauce with some seafood, this was seafood mainly, with some fresh tomatoes and other seasoning. We shared a rocket, tomato and Parmesan side salad, which was very fresh and complemented our dishes. We don’t normally have dessert but he couldn’t resist the Pistachio soufflé which was absolutely amazing, I chose panna cotta with ‘fruits of the wood’; it was absolutely sublime, so light and creamy. It’s the best meal we’ve had, anywhere, in a very long time and extremely good value for money. I wish we lived near Tunbridge Wells; we’d go regularly.

Stopped at this excellent Italian restaurant for lunch today. Really friendly staff and attentive service. The food was of top of the range quality. It was even possible to sit outside on the patio as it is sheltered from the wind.
