Spacious and dare I mention the amazing kids corner...I feel like it's a best kept secret kinda thing! Nice coffee, great selection of cakes. I've not eaten here but everything looked great. Prompt service. My toddler loves it there!

A fabulous cafe/restaurant serving fresh produce and great portion size, first class friendly service always welcome with a smile ,great to sit outside in the summer enjoying a glass of wine.

I'd never been there before, we were 12 in number and we needed a venue for coffee and lunch that could handle the number of bods, with ages from 12 months to 70 years old... it was pouring with rain and we all arrived and set ourselves around a table and all sat on large chesterfield type sofas, informal and relaxed, perfect for the moment. The coffee, from Drury, was perfect, well crafted and hot, some had teas with various milks, all very satisfied. After that, a broad range of orders for lunch, from a delicious French style jambon et fromage baguette, to an English breakfast in a bun, everyone very happy. We rounded our visit off with a round of tea, that was great too! They have these great individual tea pots, get one, you'll see what I mean. Thank you team for looking after us so well, we will return as soon as possible!

I frequently come here with my (mostly well behaved) baby and cannot praise the staff and venue enough. They consistently go out of their way to be extra helpful and friendly. The food is delicious (especially the French toast) and suitably strong coffee.

Great spod for lunch great food and drinks and nice selection. It's a nice quiet spot during weekdays so perfect for work or creative time.

This is the third time I've visited The Old Auction House and I think it might be my new favourite spot in Tunbridge Wells! Really love the whole vibe of the place with it's stylish glass roof, industrial style beams and a cool balcony where the office is. Food and coffee are great and so are the people who work there. It really does have a great atmosphere and I would highly recommend if you're looking for a spot to catch up with good friends, have a meeting, or chill in your own company with a book (all of which I've done!!!)

I have visited Old Auction House many times over the past year for many a lunch meeting, events, drinks and more. I've gone through a journey from Vegan to Carnivore and have been served with beautiful food every visit. Recently enjoyed their delicious Madame Croque and the Veal wrap! Their homemade Taziki is everything. Service is so professional and friendly, with attention to detail. The toilets are lovely and clean! Spacious, both luxury sofas and dining tables available. Ample parking beneath, beautiful sun trap garden too!!!

Hidden gem tucked away in The Pantiles. Optimum space for an event, intimate dance floor, great vibes and state of the art lights and special effects. Amazing service and professional bar tenders. Just a brilliant team who are lovely to deal with and genuinely care about the guest experience. Superb. 10/10

The slow service, only one waiter was due to staff sickness, so I've revisited my review and with that in mind they did a good job with the limited staff they had.

Absolutely fantastic spot. The staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. The food is delicious (the French toast with berries and bacon is scrumptious - the halloumi fries also a triumph). The cocktails and coffees are always perfectly made. I’ve been countless times with buggy in tow (and with other moms with their buggies). Every time the welcome has been warm, the service exemplary, and the food and drink perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend and will be back time and time again myself. Thank you to the lovely team at the Old Auction House.

We had a fantastic party night at The Old Auction House last weekend. Everyone said that it was a really amazing venue, great drinks and party food! The team were all excellent with the pre-planning and on the night. Would highly recommend this venue for a special occasion and party.

Went to a 50th party on Saturday evening and this is a great space for entertaining. The DJs got everyone on the dance floor and the chef had made delicious canapés. I have been before for a gig and again great sound and space. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Need to come for lunch as pics of food look great!

We went for Sunday breakfast. I ordered a smoothie and we both had vegetarian breakfast. After a short time we were told we couldn’t have the smoothie as they didn’t have any berries which was mildly disappointing. The breakfast arrived and looked appetising, consisting of smashed avocado, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, scrambled eggs, baked beans and mushrooms with 1 small piece of barely toasted bread. My husband took a bite of what he thought was scrambled egg but it was actually a dollop of butter to spread on the toast, it was placed right next to the eggs so you would not have known it was butter because it was the exact same colour and shape, not a good start. We both took a mouthful of mushrooms and they were stone cold so it was sent back when we sent it back we asked for extra toast. The food came back with in a few minutes and was hot but no extra toast this arrived when we were taking our last mouthful of breakfast. So we asked for marmalade to go with it but they only had jam, no plates were give with the extra toast or butter knives so we scraped our butter and jam on with a steak knife, again the toast was really just warm bread not a trace of actual toasting. The waitress was lovely but whoever is working in the kitchen perhaps needs to have a few lessons in presentation of food and serving it hot. We have been to the auction house before with no problem but we will not be returning for a “cooked” breakfast, maybe just stick to a pastry and coffee.

As a celiac it’s rare to find somewhere that really does offer a proper GF version of a main menu. Food was delicious and staff so kind and explained that all GF meals are prepared and cooked in a specific area of the kitchen to avoid cross contamination…… fantastic food and a great atmosphere as well!

Google reviews rated this highly and I am surprised there are not many reviews on Trip Advisor! This place is an absolute gem - great service and breakfast cooked to perfection. Of the 3 of us eating we all thoroughly enjoyed it - fantastic. If it was closer we would certainly go back. A lovely laid out quirky place. Thank you

We called in for a light lunch, and chose the ham and cheese sandwich. The establishment has a menu with a French theme, and the sandwich arrived in the form of a baguette, lovely bread, and good ham with comte cheese. A very good size portion. Vegetable based crisps on the plate which did not really enhance ( or detract from ) the experience to any great extent. A good cup of coffee. Not very busy, considering it was 1pm. As we don't live locally, unlikely to visit again, but would do so if we did. 10% service charge added without it being drawn to our attention, although immediately realised as I had already mentally calculated what we had spent. (Ex banker). I daresay it is mentioned somewhere on the menu. Overall good value. Pleasant friendly service from the lady waiting on the table. Slight downsides, no hot water in the cloakroom, and a man who I perceived was the owner seen eating behind the bar. I think better done behind the scenes.

Recommended by a friend . Certainly did not disappoint. Lovely atmosphere. Great service . Not hurried . We both had a savoury Crepe . Absolutely delicious . Couple of nice glasses of Rose . Perfect . Will certainly be back

We had my fiancé’s 40th birthday party here on Saturday night. It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff were incredible considering how hot it was too! The event ran so smoothly and everyone had an amazing time.

We popped in here after looking around Tunbridge Wells as we’d never been! We finally decided on here because it was really pretty and welcoming from the outside with its outdoor seating although it was super hot on Thursday so we sat inside. The food...

Really nice place, food let’s it down Both our table (4 x poached eggs) and table next to us had poached eggs that where several minutes over, not nice. The French toast had a burnt taste to it where it was over on one side, and the maple syrup was very short in supply. Toast wasn’t buttered either which with over done eggs made it very dry dish

Great hidden eatery, had a full English breakfast with coffee. The drinks were great, I didn't really enjoy the watery cherry tomatoes with my full English, liked to have one large tomato, in half, fried or grilled Definitely recommend for weekdays eating and drinking. Staff made us very welcome.

The salads were absolutely excellent and the service was second to none! Really enjoy the terrace area in the sun. Would highly recommend

They do the most amazing steak salad and have lovely staff who go above and beyond. Also a beautiful venue to hold functions.

My husband and I hosted our joint birthday party last week and it was fantastic. The managers were so accommodating with our requests, right down to going out to buy small vases for the flowers we wanted on the tables. The food was delicious and the chef(s) provided vegetarian, fish or meat options. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We highly recommend this place for a quick bite or private party

This is a great venue to meet for lunch and coffees. Great array or cakes and also serves alcohol. Not so keen on their pasta menu but luckily we were early enough to delve into the breakfast menu which has the classics. Apparently they also...

Healthy, clean and a completely free space. Suits anybody and anytime. The staff are great, the food is even better and it’s a great space for personal projects and meetings. Love this place! VB 🌹

Relaxed, accessible and welcoming venue with lovely servers and a menu offering fresh, tasty options to suit most needs. And their pastries are to die for!

Best place on the Pantiles! Good choice of food and drinks, hot, cold and alcoholic! French wine list must be the best in South East! Selection is varied, cakes on display to tempt you, tapas, baguettes, crepes, breakfast and lunch options on the menu. Plenty of space inside with sofas, easy chairs, as well as tables and chairs for eating and drinking. Background music, atmospheric screens depicting warm fires in winter, tropical seas in summer. Great suntrap garden too. Hannah, Kayleigh, Aubrey, Gus, to name just a few of the friendly people who work there, always greet every one with a smile, and make sure you enjoy your visit.

What a lovely place to while away some time. It is bathed with light through the 'glass' roof and it feels light and spacious. We were served by a friendly and attentive person, but the visit was let down by the food. In particular, the salad, which at around £15 for a plate of greenery (some of which was wilting), cucumber, tomato, goat's cheese and lavender honey dressing (tasteless), left us extremely disappointed. The baguette with saucisson and emmental, with a few leaves at around £7 was far better value. All-in-all rather disappointing. The venue, though, fabulous.

Lovely little spot for breakfast/brunch. Everything we ate was of a really high quality, particularly the eggs Benedict that was on really thick, fluffy bread with a perfect hollandaise. The chef walked into the bar area and I was tempted to give him a hug it was so good. Because it's such a high ceiling, the atmosphere was lacking a little bit, could do with some background noise, but other than that, super friendly and a new favourite to add to the list.

Had tea and cakes there this morning. Delicious cake and best croissant we have tasted for years! Very reasonably priced. Lovely venue, warm and airy plus extremely spacious and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Very nice looking breakfast menu so will be back to try that out. Great place for larger groups or families as so much space, but also lovely for couples with cosy sofas. Thoroughly recommend.

We used the Old Auction House as a private reception venue this evening for an event. It was absolutely perfect- the food delicious, the service attentive, the lighting, music and atmosphere all fantastic. Many thanks to Kayleigh and the team there on a great job 🙏🏻

Food was absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious!! It's totally handy when you're around National Museum area. Staff were so friendly, happily accommodated us even though they were very busy - they managed to squeeze us in. The service was great and the food was quick! It was the highlight of our day trip to London! It was interesting to see the history and creative illustration of their signature ramen on the wall as well! Would definitely recommend to those who love the authentic taste of Japanese ramen and to those who would like to explore the world of ramens!

Poor service. Placed an order for take away. They took my order and they charged me twice for it. Took the Money out of my account twice !! Then sent me a message saying the order can not be taken because they are too busy. I called them and they were saying the order hadn't been placed and would t give me a refund nearly £150 !!!! Still waiting for a refund Call them before you place an order. Absolute shocking

Randomly found this, as a keen working-from-home person i often take my laptop and work in some coffee shops, this is perfect, but some other local cafes can be too noisy, generally, it has a super relaxed feel. Coffee is a good price and the service is great have a good garden area with nice furniture Breakfast is SO good Always v friendly and polite service Dog friendly Ticks all the box, the atmosphere is great

We found this lovely little restaurant the other week. Food sevice was, quick and staff very friendly. And good selection of food and if you are luck parking spaces, are there next to the auction house if not a short distance to go to the underground carpark

Found this little oasis while walking the back streets, just behind the Pantiles. Worth a visit, relaxing, great coffee in a mug, will be visiting again.

We popped in to see what it was like and left feeling like we had had a real treat. Great bottle of Cremant Rose, a delicious hash for my husband and scrambled egg for me, a very tasty brunch. Would we go back, hell yes 😁👍

Lovely decorated place. Friendly staff. However they brought out cheese, charcuterie and further vegetables tapas without ordering it. We ended paying 30£ per head for this simple food. We were stunned!

Lovely meal with my partner, service was excellent and the food was amazing. I was expecting good food for the location in the pantiles but this was far beyond what I had in mind. Great use of the place, I’ve only ever parked there to go to the Sussex before but good to see somewhere else in the area.

Great venue, charming building with a great selection of cheese, meats, coffee sandwiches and wine as well as a small store. Happened upon it as wouldn't know its there but certainly a little gem that I would recommend a short trip off the beaten path for if your in and around thr Pantiles

Two young lads giving it a go and all on my doorstep. Much to be lauded in difficult times. Great concept and modern design blended well. Fantastic coffee, so good in fact that two cups per day is all that is required for those of us on a reduced 12 hour shift in the Pantiles Arcade.

A great new bright and airy addition to food and drink places in Tunbridge Wells. Lovely fare ...French saucisson and cheeses, lots of interesting food products for sale, as well as coffee, tea and snacks. I wish you well as you develop the business.
