Cantuccio Pizza Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

I've heard many positive things about this restaurant for some time. We decided to visit on a Sunday afternoon and I must say, their pizza is truly delicious. The starter of burrata with figs was also outstanding. A delightful experience overall.

Best pizzas around at the moment, but prices creeping up sadly.

We had booked a table and had to wait to get the dessert menu after our main course to be told they needed the table back in 10 mins. At this point we had only been in the restaurant an hour. How ridiculous to rush customers out after a little over an hour. If the restaurant wants to learn anything it should be to take less bookings and not to rush its customers out and let them enjoy their night and not just an hour !!

Visited with my boyfriend who loves a decent pizza and we were not disappointed. Great pizzas, friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. Would definitely visit again!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Didn't honour our booking despite booking a week ahead AND paying a £20 deposit. Absolutely unacceptable and despicable customer service.

We booked 4 days in advance paying a £20 deposit for the privilege. It was my wife's birthday and we had looked forward to going out all week. When we arrived we were told that they had double booked the table and there was nothing they could do, they couldn't seat us. We had childcare arranged and so couldn't wait around until after 9pm for them to sort us something out. Utterly devastating, since having children we have barley had a chance to have an evening out together. Maybe twice in three years. This was a really important night and Cantuccio's absolutely ruined it.

The best pizza in Tunbridge Wells. The town is blessed with a few very good, authentic pizza places, but Cantuccio is Number 1. Great ingredients and topping combinations. Also excellent when ordered as a takeaway

Absolutely delicious pepperoni pizza enjoyed in a welcoming atmosphere that's also dog friendly. It was absolutely rammed (a large table let us squeeze into the end of their table) so book in advance

Everything about this place is excellent. The pizza's are the best I've had for a long time, I even think they beat Pizza Pilgrims, which I never thought I'd say. They have a lovely delicious Neapolitan style dough - thin and cripsy base with a chewy, fluffy, crust. My favourite pizza base. The toppings are also top quality, and I love the fact you can get any pizza in the kids size portion - perfect for someone like me who can only eat so much bread in one sitting. The staff are fantastic, and very friendly. And I just love the atmosphere here at night. It's perfect for a date night as it's quite a romantic setting. All in all, forget all the other pizza places on Tunbridge Wells and come here!

The best vegan pizza I have ever eaten

The food is incredible, the atmosphere is super cosy and the service is brilliant, the only thing I would mention is sometimes the service feels a little rushed but the staff are very attentive and nothings a problem. Vegan options are fantastic too!

Purchased a pizza through Deliveroo, made a mistake on the order. Wasn’t able to cancel within 2mins !!!! They said it was my mistake and I had to take the order as they as busy !!!!!! Avoid due to lack of human skills!!!!

Lovely place best pizza in town!

Excellent pizza. An unexpected trip, and a recommendation by a local brought us here. The pizza base was sourdough, and the toppings favoured by the company tend to be mushroom or sausage based. Would go again if I were in the area. Seating is at a rustic bench.

Always a great fan from the start, both eating in and takeaway pizzas are amazing! BUT a recent takeaway was different, they have changed their dough mix, buying in ready made rather than mixing their own dough for takeaways. I guess it is inevitable due to the huge demand that they have to streamline some processes now the business is firmly established but it has now placed them in the average pizza category.

Our favourite local restaurant by far! This place offers the best and most authentic pizza locally and I have never been disappointed! The food is delicious and cooked to perfection and the restaurant is brilliant, always buzzing with really friendly and welcoming staff.

We used Cantuccio for our wedding and we got so many compliments on the pizzas! The process of organising was a little slow on the replies but all was fine in the end. I have also dined in and taken away from here and the pizza is always amazing. I always highly recommend here!

Have been there many times to pick up takeaway pizza because of how good it is. Arrived just on time for collection so our pizza was served nice and warm. Drove back home and ate them freshly made. Ordered three adult ones and one kid one. Delicious food, highly recommended.

Fantastic pizza with superb dough and top quality, super fresh ingredients. Even though this was a delivery, definitely not the ideal way to eat pizza, it really was that good. I have been all over Italy and this was every bit as good as the very best I have eaten there. Can't wait to take my (half Italian) daughter in to see you guys when she's back in the country. Superb Burrata as well & beautiful balance with the figs and pesto. Thanks for reminding me what proper pizza should taste like...I'd almost forgotten!

My partner and I came here for dinner last night for his birthday meal. Everything was exceptional literally couldn’t fault a thing. Cocktails were amazing. I mentioned when paying the bill it was his birthday and they came out with 2 shots, singing happy birthday, which was the cherry on top. Recommend to anyone that loves fresh food, amazing service and a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to the Cantuccios team.

We ordered 25 pizza's for our company event last month, not only did they make these perfectly, cater to our requests, but also had had them all ready and prepared by midday to meet our schedule (not to mention still hot). Our staff LOVED them! Big thank you to the team, wonderful service, and extremely tasty food. Definitely will be back!

We visited along with 30+ others after our friends memorial celebration. Considering we all arrived at the same time the servoce was excellent, the food superb and the staff so efficient. The food and drink just kept coming. When folk can successfully handle this i should think they can handle anything. Thank you to all of you-- and well done x

The worst experience ever. The restaurant was busy and couldn’t fit us in which I accept but the takeaway option also turned us away because they said “they were too busy” and we could expect a 50+ min wait for 1 pizza. How ridiculous that you can’t provide a basic walk in take away service from a walk in take away pizza counter / shop. Stupidly at its best. Won’t be going back.

Horrendous ! My deliveroo order came with no pizza just drinks. The restaurant had allowed the order to leave the restaurant only half complete. I’ve now been waiting 2 hours and still no pizza. Disgraceful service

Best pizza I've had in either tonbridge or tunbridge wells. Service is ok but when paying by card the minimum tip you can select is 15%. That is too much for being served a pizza. West End restaurants charge 12.5%

Great pizza. Great service. Great local. Love having this place nearby. Been here about 20 times with different friends and family members - crowd pleaser every time.

The staff are absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was really nice as well, lovely cocktails, It's such a cute small space but it didn't feel cramped it was just perfect! the food is so delicious! Looking forward to the next visit! We felt really well looked after and the staff were ever so accommodating 10/10

What an amazing find. Mixed anti pasta was delicious followed by an amazing pizza with a wonderful crust. The burrata salad was also delicious and nicely dressed. All washed down with a bottle of very pleasant white wine, Grillo at a very reasonable price. The service was also very good. In fact everything was perfect and we will definitely be returning for more. Essential to book to make sure you are not disappointed.

Sensational! Cantuccio were not only kind enough to cater for an 8 year olds birthday on a Friday night (all adults +kiddo) they just went extra mile with giving the bday boy attention. Food was perfection, service so on point yet relaxed. We had a great night. Thanks all! 🍕❤️

Realy Amazing pizza don’t miss out👌

Great food and the pizzas really are tasty. However, used Deliveroo and the pizzas turned up stone cold despite only being 10-15 min drive away and we were sent a completely wrong pizza that we didn’t order. All the boxes had the same number on so leads me to believe this was a restaurant error. I’m leaving a review as I was quite shocked when attempting to call to discuss with the restaurant about these matters that the number listed in the website rings and tells you their inbox is full and cuts off. I’m very disappointed by this experience.

Small but definitely interesting and informal place. Basic menu but with excellent combinations of starters and fabulous pizzas. Better than in many places in Italy. I'll be back.

Food was ok, the experience was poor - a few things left a very sour taste. On arrival before even being asked how we are, we were told "you've only got your table an hour", a fact our servers repeatedly bought up each time they visited. In fact when we were asked if we wanted desert our server made a point of deliberately checking her watch and going "well you've got 20 minutes so you should be able to squeeze one in!". I get that its a small restaurant and you have limited tables but maybe don't take too many bookings? The other thing i take issue with is how anyone can justify charging more than £3 for a 330ml can of coke/lemonade etc. Perhaps i was already annoyed due to feeling like we had to rush our dinner but i could not believe my eyes when i saw the prices. The pizza itself was very good and the price fair, otherwise this would be a 1 star review. Sorry, just very disappointed and it made our night feel a little less special.

Neapolitan pizza doesn’t get better than this , you can never ever go wrong with this place. Amazing service and food always

I cannot tell you how impressed I was with Cantuccio!! The owner is so warm and generous and my mum and I agreed that the pizza was one of THE BEST pizzas we have had in a very long time. Everything was super high quality and it was very affordable. My mum and I are vegan and I can tell you the vegan cheese was fantastic (this is always something I take note on with vegan pizzas - quality of the vegan cheese). So many options for different dietary requirements. Will 100% be coming back with the rest of the family. Thank you for your hospitality Cantuccio team!

Yet another superb experience at Cantuccio. Took my ten-year-old as we both fancied pizza for dinner. Great experience from start to finish. The pizza is simply superb, and is the reason to go in the first place. I would add that the burrata starter with salad, sourdough garlic bread and pesto is an absolute steal and absolutely delicious.

Overall we really enjoyed it, food was very tasty and surpassed expectations. Our starter order didn't seem to go to the kitchen and tables that arrived after us were on mains before our starters arrived. Luckily we werent in a rush and when we spoke to the wait staff they were very apologetic and comped our wine to make up for it, this really meant a lot. Mistakes happen and its how you deal with them that counts and they handled it really well. The food was fantastic and service was good, will definitely be back again.

As an Italian living abroad it is so difficult to find a pizzeria where the product keeps the same consistency and deliciousness. The staff is lovely and caring. The pizza never disappoints and you can really taste the care that the staff put in every single item sold. Well done guys 👍💪👍

Got to be the best pizza in Tunbridge Wells. Nice chilled Saturday afternoon with perfect music to sit, relax and eat pizza. Piccante padrino was nice with the children's pizza also enjoyed and finished. Will go back!

Driven down from North Yorkshire to surprise our friend on her Birthday which her daughter Holly had arranged. The staff were brilliant with this and went above and beyond to help this all go to plan, even getting us some party balloons as everywhere had been sold out. The service and food were amazing. This is a little gem of a place and the atmosphere is great. Will certainly go again next time we are in the area.

Good food and service, but completely spoiled by the constant disturbance (including the banging of the backs of chairs) from delivery drivers and riders who walk through the centre of the restaurant, between the customers either side. Also be careful of the time you visit, it’s a noisy restaurant and early evening is often full of very noisy families.

Everything about our lunch was exceptional. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The ingredients taste superbly fresh. The touch of a rose for Mother’s Day was very sweet. Will definitely be back.

The pizza here is simply superb. Easily the best in town, and compares very favourably to artisan places in London. Lovely staff too, fair prices and decent selection of beer and wine.

We had a fabulous family meal. Great selection of drinks, craft beer and wine. Food really well executed. Excellent service and plenty of atmosphere. Will definitely return. The only thing I'd change is to add a couple of main meal salads to the menu. I don't eat pizza that often so feel it would be visited more often for us if there were a couple of salads for me too. Goats cheese or salmon or chicken and parma ham.

We had garlic bread with cheese to start and pizza to follow, service very good, reasonably priced and the pizza was the best I have ever had! 10/10

As a massive pizza fan, Cantuccio is by far the best pizza restaurant I have been too, within and outside of tunbridge wells. Every time the pizzas are on point, great service, value for money and food!
