La Viva in Preston

We've never been to Preston before the cafe looked nice and inviting from the kerb, inside was nice, staff curtious.its a shame food was below standard. The pie was so hard and stale, the gravy was a thick tasteless gloom. The burger was one you would get in a Pizza shop. Not good at all.

We called in for a coffee but ended up ordering food too. Great service, brilliant prices, centrally located and we will be back soon!

Awful experience here yesterday. The manager was rude - kept shouting orders from one side to the other. He yelled at one of his waitresses at one point. If I was her, I’d have got my coat and bag and left. Food - poor. We waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive while other tables had got their food before us even though they’d ordered well after us. Eggs were hard, toast was barely toasted and cold bacon and sausages. We won’t be returning.

A relaxing and clean bistro. The food was very nice. The menu has plenty of choice. I can recommend the halloumi and houmous wrap. All in all, it's a super place to eat.

Ordered a Fillet Burger with chips You get better chips in Iceland and chicken fillet was also some frozen product. It had no taste

Wow, what a fabulous breakfast. We found this place randomly after walking by. It was very busy, so presuming a good reputation. We both ordered a cooked breakfast. Both different both lovely. A big breakfast, delicious and great value.

Service prompt and polite. Had breakfast which was served quickly. Everything was cooked properly, and nice hot tea. Would definitely visit again to try an evening meal.

The place is beautiful but we felt super uncomfortable because they don't let you enjoy the food or the drink. The place wasn't that full and as soon as we finished eating they immediately brought the bill. We couldn't even digest the food. We felt from the beginning that they were kicking us out of the place.

My husband and I have visited this restaurant lots of times and enjoyed the food. But now I have an assistant dog. We wasn't allowed in side. They said we could sit outside. This isn't terrible. Any person who has a disability should be allowed to enter with there dog. Ie assistant for blind, service, or assistant dog. It's disgusting and embarrassing to be turned away. It really upset me.

Lovely staff and happy atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and made sure everything was okay. The hashbrowns were made amazingly. Bacon was a bit dry for my liking but overall it was pretty decent.

Came on Saturday 17th August with my Husband. Been a few occasions,but this time the smoke smell was worse than ever. We were sat in the middle,I really couldn't enjoy my meal without smelling smoke. I know people have the right to smoke outside,but I have the right to breath clean air in a restaurant while eating my meal. Move the smokers to the front outside and not on top of the door. Hopefully next time if I do go it will have been soughted,I wasn't the only person to smell it. My friend told them last time about the smell and she got a dirty look of a young girl.

The best breakfast in town. We had breakfast here twice while in town and both times we enjoyed it tremendously. Owner and the staff are super friendly and a very clean establishment. Highly recommended.

Service was OK, but the steak pie was mostly inedible as the pastry was rock hard, they use frozen chips, mentioned to the waitress when she was collecting our plates, she didn't apologise or anything

Lovely food and great friendly service.

Breakfast was absolutely incredible, I had the breakfast no.4 and it was cooked to perfection. My partner had the vegetarian omelette which was also cooked beautifully and full of flavour. Very reasonable prices for the level of quality and service is also brilliant, very welcoming staff and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

All the staff were very inviting and friendly, and the food could not be faulted. I had coffee and an omelette which were both perfectly made. All the food I saw going to other tables looked fantastic too considering the wide range of choices on the menu. Would highly recommend for simple food made well.

Went at about noon and had a No 4 breakfast with a sahlep drink. The food was hot and tasty and the drink was fabulous

This time I went with my son's. They had milk shakes and I had a coke and a hot drink called Sahlep. We also had a Turkish Bagel which we shared, although my son's weren't keen at first, they both enjoyed it

Sat outside with five others. Excellent service and great breakfasts. Poached and fried eggs and coffee are especially nice and importantly, the bacon was crispy.. We were in a rush for a train and didn't leave much time but food arrived quickly.

I had a fried breakfast. Customer service was good and the cafe seemed clean but the ingredients of the food was a let down. looked and tasted very cheap which ruined the meal. They really need to invest in better quality food before they cook it. Prices were above average considering how much they must be paying for the ingredients. I won’t be back until I know they’ve improved the ingredients they cook with…

Called in for a quick snack we were seated wrinkly and efficiently the staff were friendly and courteous and for £8.50 my tuna melt panini was tasty plus there were chips included I would definitely call in again

Me and my boyfriend come here every weekend, it’s our favourite place, I’ve tried several different dishes and the food is always perfect and of a high standard and quality. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and always provide such a high quality service and never let us down. They even make a meal for my partner which isn’t on the menu! I would recommend this to everyone and anyone!!

We stumbled on La Viva by accident on a wet bank holiday Monday looking for a place for lunch. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were offered drinks straight away. We ordered a toastie and a wrap, and both were excellent and good value for money. The music was 80's which suited me just fine! We will definitely be going back and would recommend La Viva to everyone. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed 👍

We received a warm welcome as we entered. The food was lovely, we had a chicken and avocado salad and panini for lunch. The toilets were clean, too!

Meeting family during a short time window for their train travel. They managed to accommodate 8 at short notice. Food served was first class, all enjoyed it. Service was excellent.

A warm friendly welcome is always a good start. We were warmly greeted and swiftly shown to a table. The menu is quite comprehensive so I’m sure that there’s something to suit all tastes. As the restaurant is of Turkish nationality we decided to try their Turkish dishes. Their service was polite and swift, the food was delicious and freshly made to order. All at reasonable prices, what’s not to like?

Tried La Viva for the first time yesterday for lunch and glad we did. Very friendly staff and nice décor. We tries a hot mezes which was Turkish sausage, chicken wings and grilled halloumi with a salad and pitta bread followed by apple pie and custard. This was delicious and we will definitely visit again.

Absolutely authentic genuine Italian pasta, with a small portion of delicious cheese given to add to the dish, great for a good view of Preston city center, and quality service.

Came here as a last second decision for a quick lunch whilst Xmas shopping. Amazing hospitality, very attentive and friendly. Food was great, the soup and fresh bread was beautiful alongside toasties and omlettes. Highly recommend 😀

My daughter, granddaughter and sister go for lunch every Saturday. The food is 5 star and very friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble .

This is a lovely cafe with a generous menu at competitive prices. Staff were very thoughtful and courteous. Would definitely go back again as I have been in there twice before.

Stopped here for lunch as we had a 3 hour break between trains. We'd walked along the street and looked at a few places before going in here. Staff were quick and very attentive and they all worked together. There seemed to be both tourists (like us) and locals and all generations, nice atmosphere and you could sit inside or outside. Hubby had the turkish breakfast which he enjoyed and I had the spaghetti bolangaise which had a wee spicy kick in it which I wasn't expecting (I don't 'do' spicy food) but it was very nice and a generous portion which I couldn't finish! We'd go back if every passing through Preston again :)

Bad head on beer and the pasta had very little flavour but the staff are friendly and the price is great

A really nice place for a lunch time break.Went on a recommendation from a friend.Well worth it.Lovely food and reasonable price.Good choice,English, Turkish/Greek.Service a bit slow due to nearly all tables full.Service from the staff above and beyond,placed wife's scooter in side area,served a deaf couple used bsl well and escorted and helped an old couple to table moving other tables to help.These little things show good customer service.Will go again when in Preston.

The friendliest staff ever - they even made sure to let us know how they cook the food to keep our meal halal (they even brought it up themselves!)The food was also really healthy and delicious. The whole experience makes me want to go back again soon. Thank you again ☺️

Absolutely love this Cafe/Restaurant. Service is great, as is the Food. Prices are reasonable & the place is spotlessly clean. Nice friendly atmosphere & definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants great food in a relaxing & casual environment.

I tried this cafe because it looked different. A Turkish cafe that sells your standard coffees plus Turkish coffee, I tried the Turkish inspired coffee and a Turkish snack, which was not dissimilar to a bagel in texture. Really friendly staff and food excellent. You can sit in or out. Toilet on the same floor, which was clean. Prices are reasonable too

We visited on Monday just gone. The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were great. I'd have extra bacon and no sausage next time as the sausage wasn't really to my taste. Really enjoyed the option of sitting outside in the nice weather too!

Ordered a sausage barm, barm was ripped apart from being buttered and sausages were over cooked. Overall below standard food and over priced for what you get. Won't go back.

Called in today for Brunch in a 3 generation group of 5 out for a Father's Day meal. Everybody was impressed by the food, service and value. I had a breakfast and liked how you could opt for different items from the menu. The food was cooked well and came on a hot plate which was perfect as we ate outside. The other 3 adults had wraps with my daughter asking for a runny fried egg on top of her's which got a smile from the owner but it came exactly as she had ordered. They were all pleased with their choices and my 6 year old Grandson tackled the adult cheese and ham omlette and only left a few chips. With coffees and a juice the bill was under £60 and the whole time we were there the staff were smiling and attentive.

wouldn’t recommend going here. the food is average, if not slightly below average, and quite over priced. the turkish breakfast is definitely not worth how much they charge, for how little you get. paid for beans on the breakfast, £1.20, a literally got a table spoon of them. the staff are lovely but chefs do not know how to even boil an egg, which is surely basic

I have visited la viva before when i was on a visit to Preston,very friendly staff,excellent food ,i went for breakfast everything was cooked perfect especially the bacon because i like it well done,and it was spot on everything was cooked perfect,i also visited for lunch and ordered the soup,this was homemade lentil soup,the moans coming from my mouth should have let the whole street know i was enjoying the good bowl of delicious soup,the warm crispy bread with it was also superb,great value for money great surroudings,and very caring staff.please pop into la Viva if your in Preston you wont be disappointed.

Friendly team and great Turkish breakfast!

Popped for brunch with my hubby, on his recommendation. He raves about the cooked breakfast. I had a baked potato with chilli, which was great. It came with a salad and coleslaw. Very tasty!

Very efficient staff and definitely a customer focused approach to their service. I had a English breakfast, coffee and a milkshake. The food was good, milkshake was very good and the coffee was okay as well. I was just passing through but was aware of the rapport the staff and management had with their local customers, which added to the friendly feel of the place. I'd pop back in again if I was passing again for sure.

I had lasagne which looked like it came out of a packet and chips, the chips were and not homemade a came on a chipped plate, sorry didnt take a picture of that the apple pie was burnt and the custard was made with water. Not good.

Great cafe! We had toasties & they come with chips for just over a fiver! They had Soya milk also to make my latte. Really tasty food & good prices. The staff were very friendly- greeting us as soon as we arrived. It has comfy cushioned seats/ back benches & a quirky but simplistic decor which looked great. Lovely atmosphere.
