Rude staff. From the moment we arrived. Day one.. Someone opened our locked door on multiple occasions, once whilst we were getting dressed and ready for dinner. We complained and were told “it was a guest from a nearby room who made a mistake” I said: “But why does their key open our room??” They couldn’t answer. I believe it was one of the staff members. The electronic DO NOT DISTURB sign does not work, and we told the staff this morning not to disturb our room. We assume they believed we were out and wanted to see in our room. Now we are stuck in our room as our possessions are not safe and secure with the door being opened multiple times whilst we have been in the room. My wife also does not feel safe if the staff or other guests can just unlock the door at any moment. Disgusting… oh and the cockroaches in the bathroom are also pretty disgusting!

I recently stayed at La Suite West Hotel London and still their for the next 2 days, and was disappointed. We have booked me and my brother two double superior rooms, my brother was given superior room but they gave me a standard room and they call it superior with totally different size and layout (( my brother room is big and my room is very small )) (( picture’s are provided )) I stopped by the reception and the duty manager and showed them the big differences with no action from their side, they only responded with (( it is superior )) and IT IS NOT, that were significantly different from what I had reserved. The room I received lacked the sofa bed that was supposed to be included with my booking which is included in my brother room (( funny difference from their side ))This was a major inconvenience, as we had planned for these amenities to accommodate our group. The staff did not offer a satisfactory resolution, and overall, the experience did not meet our expectations. I would not recommend this hotel based on our stay. Also, the reception and the duty manager was rude.

Awful hotel for the price! Staff have no experience in handling a situation just like robots don't use they disaggregation to just make a decision and make customer happy. So after paying £140 for one night no breakfast included, try to put us in basement, said wasn't happy then said pay extra £30 for different room and £20 extra for dog to stay. Even though on website say nothing about charge but understand that so wasn't fussed. So extra charge for room the £170 still not breakfast so I asked could add it should been £10. Breakfast isn't worth £10 anyways was no hot food. Just all cold stuff and abit of toast. Rooms are very small and noise is awful as can hear the tube as right underneath. This hotel shouldn't be charging these prices for hotel can't sleep in and breakfast is so basic.

Stayed here with 2 adults, 1 toddler in May 2024 for 4 nights. It was an unusually warm time in London and we quickly learned that the hotel's airflow is centrally controlled, so there's no way to turn on the AC in your individual rooms, so it was a lot warmer than we would've liked. We booked a Junior Suite, which was very spacious for the 3 of us. Shower was excellent, however prone to flood easily. The bed was very comfortable. Our stay included daily breakfast, which was a great option in a fairly expensive city, however the breakfast was very limited and the same thing every morning. In terms of noise outside, it was extremely loud. The hotel is right across from a hostel and their guests and you can easily hear conversations they are having from their courtyard. Location was great. Lots of restaurants, pubs, souvenir shops and grocery stores nearby. Also very close to 2 tube stations and walking distance from Paddington for the Heathrow Express. Walking distance to the Princess Diana Memorial Playground, which was such a joy to bring our daughter to. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but may consider a different location next time we're in London.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at La Suite West London Hotel, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is nothing short of perfect, especially for a family traveling with small children. Nestled in a vibrant neighborhood, it is surrounded by a plethora of Muslim-friendly restaurants, offering a variety of delicious halal cuisine. This made dining out incredibly convenient and enjoyable for us, as we were able to try different dishes without any worries. Moreover, the proximity to multiple tube stations was a major highlight. Being just a short walk away from Bayswater & Queensway station, we found it extremely easy to navigate the city. Whether we were heading to popular tourist attractions or simply exploring the local area, the accessibility of public transportation was a significant advantage. It made our travel stress-free and allowed us to make the most of our time in the city. The hotel itself is a haven of comfort and hospitality. The staff (Jihan & Sajad & another lady whom ive forgotten her name) were incredibly friendly and polite, always greeting us with warm smiles and going out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any queries or requests made our stay even more pleasant. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of sightseeing. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep for everyone, and the room was impeccably clean. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring modern fixtures and a refreshing shower, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. The only cons i had for this hotel was that it doesnt have a microwave, else it’s a perfect one! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city, especially those traveling with young children, as it provides both convenience and a welcoming environment that truly enhances the travel experience.

Hotel Staff SCAMMED guests out of tips. The room is alright but the staff over there asked for tips when my parents were checking out of there. They paid the tips out of the impression that it is common to leave tips in the UK as they are new to this country. They only realised that the tip is unneccessary until they brought this up to me. Bad service A pair of pajama bottoms (totally different colour than the sheets) went missing on the 24th of December after the housekeeping service. The main issue would be how they mishandled the whole situation. The staff kept postponing us when asked and never followed up. When we checked out, they only agreed to deduct the price of the pajama bottom from the price of breakfast that was due to be paid by us. Moreover, the hotel has a 12.5% service fee for each day that is mandatory to be paid (weird to me) and a NON mandatory fee, that we would have paid if I didn't asked the receptionist what each item is from our final receipt. And also they changed the towels everyday so no sustainability points for that. P.S.: after the first day the housekeeper put the pajamas on the SUITCASE, and on the second day in the night stand. P.P.S.: the rooms were pretty small for Superior. BUT the people serving breakfast were really nice.

The communication was great from start to finish as I was coming from overseas so had lots of questions, about the location, checking in time and needing to leave luggage for the afternoon. The location was perfect and the rooms were lovely. I did find the bath a bit high to get in and out of which could be hazard for less abled people and when other people shut their bedroom doors it did make everything shake in our room but that’s just because we’re in old buildings so if you’re a light sleeper just bear that in mind and bring ear plugs.

We booked to stay via a Virgin Experience as online, the hotel looks great. Virgin upgraded due to not specifying this was a vegan hotel at the time of booking, so we were moved to a junior suite. There were multiple large stains on the carpet (see photos) and the room needed bringing up to date as a bit tired, the real issue was that the sink in the bathroom was blocked, leaving debris in the sink and a significant smell of raw sewage. This really disappointed us as we booked this trip for a special occasion, and when we advised the front desk, were told that because we had been upgraded, there was nothing they could do or offer. Would have expected much better service from any hotel and strongly recommend you think again before booking.

First of all. Remember booking through the hotel website, they offer you a better price. Location is wonderful. You won't miss a thing!. Tube is really 2 minutes away and there's a bus stop in front of the building. Staff is not very friendly, at least the one who checked us in. There is another access to the building avoiding the reception, so you don't have to see them until the check out time. We spent the week in a junior suite, which is not as spacious as it seems in the pictures, although it was enough. Otherwise, it is as dark as usually hotel rooms are. Terrace is antique, but nice. The chamber has several European sockets and six mirrors. Wi-Fi runs ok. The cupboard is small for a week and the hangers are not enough. Ipad conection is the old one. Bed is really comfortable. There are two pillow's pair and also pads. TV has a ingenious way of hiding itself inside the table, saving lot of space. The bathroom is huge and hot (underfloor heating) but, take care with the roof's shower, it splashs the whole room. Features are correct. Hair dryer is powerful (Babyliss), towels are nice and, moreover, there are bathrobes and slipers and, of course, gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower cup, cotton, tissues, etc. Continental breakfast is free but not worthy. Coffee is nasty. We preferred buying our own stuff and use the kitchenette. The fridge is large enough. The hotel serves you two free spring water's bottles everyday. You can rent a cab in the nearby corner to Gatwick airport for 62 pounds. There is also a Greek Restaurant behind the hotel, named Kalamaras, really wonderful (open until midnight). Enjoy London!

Overall a good experience, we found a very nice hotel near Hyde Park, two tube stations in a beautiful neighborhood. Our room (314) was spacious, very clean (a part for stains on the carpet). Nice view of the chimneys that I found quite romantic and typical. The service was always ready to help us with little problems we had, especially when I forgot MONEY and very important bank cards in the drawer the day we left. The honesty of the staff has been very appreciated. Unfortunately I'm afraid to book with you again because I came with my girlfriend and two other couples who spent the same money as me, but they were not so lucky with the room. In fact we were on the third floor differently from them that happened on the first floor and on the lower ground. Last thing: we made the reservation on booking.com and I believe that if restaurant is VEGAN, this should be highlighted. We found this info a small info box in that site only after the check in.

Booked to have vegan afternoon tea as an anniversary treat. The food was very disappointing. The bread in the sandwiches was dry and stale. The fillings were ok. The scones were nice with coconut cream. The cakes were not good. Two of the selection were sponges which were dry. The macaroon tasted nice but not fresh. The pumpkin roll was heavy. It was not the French patisserie that we had expected. There are much tastier vegan cakes available in London and cheaper.

I was given vouchers for two for my birthday and so was excited to try this place being a vegan myself. Four of us (2 whom are vegan and had the cream tea) visited yesterday and it was very disappointing. The service, although the staff were very apologetic and friendly) was slow and forgetful. We had to keep asking at least twice for things we needed because the first time around you knew it would be forgotten. The place is dark and unassuming and the cost of the cream tea for 2 £70. I was, therefore, expecting a high standard but the cakes and sandwiches were awful. The cakes were dry (I have tasted lovely vegan cakes) and the sandwiches stake tasting and bland. My tea first time round was fine. I asked for another pot and it seemed like they had just added hot water to my old tea leaves as it was the weakest tea I had ever seen and tasted like old weak tea when I poured it. The staff did apologise for bad service as they stated their was only one chef on for everyone but this doesn't excuse the bad quality of the food. I would never return to this place. They really need to up their game if they want lots of vegans to return.

We had high expectations for our lunch. However, there were quite a few issues on the day. There was a slight delay to be seated to start with. The room was very dark and could have done with some candles or additional lighting. It was rather disappointing that it had not been made clearer on the website that the restaurants serves no alcohol. Our soft drinks were placed on the table including a bottle of sparkling water. I poured the water by myself. My husband and I both ordered the mushroom bourguignon pie. Unfortunately both of out dishes were stone cold and the food had to be sent back. Our hot replacement pies were extremely tasty and satisfying. We also sampled couple of desserts. My husband loved these but I found them too sweet. Service was overall attentive and I understand there had been some staffing issues on the day which would likely explain our experience. There was an offer to take some items off the bill at the end but by this point we had already paid. This could have been a great lunch but due to multiple issues I am hesitant to return.

Came because the tea had good reviews when it was first offered two years ago. The tea comes with a flute of non-alcoholic bubbly which reminded me of cough syrup. Of the cakes and sweets, one was edible -a little date and nut ball. The scones were dry on the outside and under baked in the centre. Cakes crumbled like powder at the touch. Coconut cream was liquid, rather than whipped and dripped off the scone. Sandwiches could have been filled more generously. The tea selection was average and the staff didn't know the difference between the choices. There were a few other diners there before us and they all left food on their plates. Utter disappointment for how much it costs.

The photos present this as a modern hotel with a minimalist design; that literally only applies to the reception. The rooms are tiny; the social space is drab. Badly needs a refurbishment to bring it into line with how it presents itself.

I came here as a birthday treat on a weekday. The hotel is fairly easy to find. After entering the receptionist showed us into the restaurant. There was one other couple in there eating their meal. We waited for 10 minutes and no one came. I got up and notified the receptionist, shortly afterwards someone came from the kitchen. She showed us the menus and asked about drinks. The drinks came, we also ordered coffees and there were not very nice. The quality of the meal is horrendous and no where near worth £30. The white bread sandwiches were stale and there was hardly any filling in them. They give you 3 triangles (1/2 sandwiches) and that’s it. Next there was the scone with coconut cream. THE WORST SCONE EVER. Brittle, hard, dry...disgusting. Dipping it in the tea would not have made it more moist. The cakes were a brownie, carrot cake and a ball made from nuts and fruit. The brownie was doughy and powdery. The carrot cake had the same consistency and was super sweet. The ball wasn’t too bad. There were hardly any staff walking by. We weren’t asked by anyone how the tea was or the food. We were the only people in the restaurant and the only member of staff in there at the end couldn’t speak English well. Looking at the other reviews they must intentionally do this so no one can complain. Again she didn’t ask how things were because she couldn’t understand English. She asked whether we were paying card or cash - we said cash and she came with a card machine. This was a horrendous experience. Do not waste your money here - bad food and bad service.

Extremely disappointing vegan afternoon tea. Like one of the other reviewers, I can only assume something must have gone wrong. The wait staff were disinterested and rude from the moment we arrived. They gave us the unused cups from an already eaten meal from the next door table (which had crumbs on the saucers). We were brought the lukewarm non-alcoholic fizz, which we later found out was a decision made for us over the mocktails included in our voucher. The coconut cream was so watery that it was redundant as an accompaniment to the scone (although worked better in the tea that the supposed to the curdled almond milk we were given), and the deserts were so dry they were difficult to digest. The sandwiches were decent, but there were just three half size pieces -really as the only tasty thing on the single slate we were provided, these should have been the feature of an otherwise disappointing meal. It is very hard to believe that this was £29 per person.

I had bought a £50 voucher for my husband's birthday. When we arrived at 6pm there were several diners who were complaining about their Afternoon Tea. As they left the waitresses did not clear their tables so we were surrounded by half eaten food. We ordered and waited 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. By this time we were the only diners left in the restaurant. We had ordered nibbles and these had not arrived so I asked where they were and was told that there was a 'problem' in the kitchen. 15 minutes later we were brought a tiny dish of nuts and olive and some inedibly salty Kale. The starters took 15 minutes more (so arrived a full hour after we ordered) The food was ok although the salad was full of grit. The main courses took a further 20 minutes. The burgers were ok but the salad was also gritty and there were no fries -we had been told this but no substitute was offered so we were both hungry. I asked how long dessert would take and was told there would be a long wait so we declined. I was then asked to pay more than the £50 voucher which I refused to do as the food and drink was not worth anything like that much and,in any event ,the service was appalling. They should have given us some sort of explanation and ,at very least, offered us free drinks. Strangely breakfast the next morning was really nice although empty jam and marmalade pots had been left on the table from the previous diners.

I was so pleased to come to this calm restaurant to take a break and enjoy a vegan lunch/tea for an hour. Kristina took great care of me and was so nice. I enjoyed talking to the staff. The chef came and introduced himself. The vegan high tea meal was filling. I had to take some of the desserts home. They offer to bring you more of items you have finished. The fizzy drink had a delicious flavor. I especially enjoyed being able to have scones with coconut cream and berries. I've tried to get vegan high teas in other cities (like Atlanta where I live) but it never works out. So this was a rare treat. When I was there leisurely eating and writing postcards, I saw a lady come in and get a gift certificate for a high tea for a newly engaged couple. That's a great gift to treat yourself.

I had an extremely disappointing experience here - for a surprise vegan afternoon tea on Easter Sunday. I can only assume something must have gone wrong on this day because other reviews are so positive. The tea I received was tiny and served in one go, rather than in courses, on a single slate (unlike other images/reviews I've seen). The sandwiches were slightly stale round the edges, which I tried to ignore... but when I got to the 2 tiny scones, it was impossible to ignore. They were rock solid and crumbled when I tried to cut into them. I tasted a tiny bit, it was hard, dry and very salty. I couldn't believe it after reading the reviews on here of the tastiest scones ever. At this point, I asked the waitress if there were any fresh scones but she said no. I then asked to speak with a manager, but there were none present. At this stage we decided to leave. It was such a disappointment and after waiting all day and walking a long way to get there, to leave hungry was not great! The worst part is that since then, I have written to La Suite West with my feedback and despite prompting them for a reply, have heard nothing back - no explanation or apology. Terrible customer service - I'm still a bit in disbelief about the whole thing!

My husband took me to have my first ever afternoon tea, back in December 2016. It was fully vegan and it was delicious. We arrived and were seated straight away. Our waiter was extremely helpful and caring, so much so it felt like the whole place was his. He exuded a sense of calm, and we felt like we could sit there all day long and take as much time as we wanted. The vegan afternoon tea was absolutely amazing! We started with some savoury amuse bouche, which were nothing like I tasted before! These were followed by sandwiches and small scones with jam, whipped coconut cream and mince pies. Finally we were served some amazing desserts, and I couldn't finish all of them as I was so stuffed (which is a rarity for me!).We both had tea, I had Jasmine Sword tea and my husband had Peppermint, both really nice and refreshing. On top of that, we were served hot chocolate, which our waiter said, we could have refilled as many times as we wanted! My hubby was in vegan heaven!I see that some previous reviews mentioned that the place is badly lit. It didn't affect us, but I can see how some people could be affected by not seeing very well. The whole place was spotless, and very well maintained, with lots of pretty ambient light. I felt really spoiled and looked after! Will definitely go back, in fact we're planning a wedding anniversary trip back there, with a potential overnight stay!Thank you very much!

We ordered the vegan afternoon tea and we had a fantastic meal. The friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff were able to advise us on every part of the menu including the various teas. The teas themselves were imaginative and unusual and every one tasted fantastic. We were able to have as many teas and coffees as we liked. On to the food- we both traditionally have very large appetites but we left feeling absolutely stuffed from the excellent food. The sandwiches were a good size and very tasty. We particularly liked the tempeh and the cashew nut and sundried tomato. The warm scones were very tasty, served with a coconut cream (which we felt could have been a little bit thicker), strawberries and jam. The trio of cakes at the end were each fantastic. Firstly a warm apple pie, followed by a chocolate and beetrot brownie and finally a very tasty carrot cake.Would definitely recommend and will visit again soon.

We had a lovely evening vegan high tea! We were both so happy with the quality, service, and experience, and it is easily worth every penny. We were lucky to experience the Valentines menu- starting off with Virgin Rossinto, then a selection of 5 different delicious finger sandwiches each. The most interesting and surprisingly delicious one being BBQ tempeh and rocket salad. We both got a pot of 'Winter warmer' tea each, which consisted of black tea, ginger, cinnamon, and clove spices. After the sandwiches came warm homemade scones, strawberry jam, coconut whipped cream, and fresh strawberries. These were very yummy and filling. To finish off the evening we enjoyed another pot of tea, and heart shaped pomegranite cashew cheesecake with chocolate dipped strawberries. The service was outstanding and we were made to feel so welcome. The atmosphere was relaxing and the restaurant is very nicely decorated and fresh feeling. At the end of the meal we recieved a 10% off voucher for our next high tea. Thank you to La Suite West, their wonderful chef, and friendly staff for such a great night.

Mocktails were great but the first course of Sandwiches were a mixed bag. The scrambled tofu sandwich was great, but the cashew cheese sandwich almost made me gag - maybe just a personal dislike. From that disappointment, the scones with coconut cream and strawberries were to die for. My girlfriend who has been to many afternoon teas claimed that the scones were the best she has tried. I wouldn't know, but they tasted great and it was a bonus that they were vegan! The coconut cream made the whole thing even better though, it was amazing! The final course of 3 cakes was even better. The raw carrot cake was nice, but the baked carrot cake and the chocolate cake were so so good. All in all, a great experience and a must try!

My daughter and I ate at Raw last night and we were well attended to, being served a delicious Vegan evening meal outside, on a lovely warm London evening. Our starter was shared olives, hummus and pitta - can't really go wrong there and it was well presented and yummy. Our main courses were the gnocchi for my daughter and I had the spiralised courgettes with power balls (I think that was the name). Again both dishes were enjoyed. It was approaching 9:30pm and toward the end of our main course the waiter rushed out to advise that the chef wanted to go and could we pick our desert - we did so.Unfortunately we were then joined at the end of our long table by a lady, perhaps from the hotel, who proceeded to smoke. This was accepted by the servers but significantly detracted from our enjoyment of the remainder of our meal. Additionally we had now ordered our desert.I am perplexed why the hotel provides a Vegan Restaurant and yet accepts smoking at the outside tables - it appears somewhat contrary to me and will make us think twice about returning.

Krisztina was very helpful beforehand and she and her staff were friendly and attentive and we had great fun choosing the smoothies. The restaurant is quite small and made for an enjoyable atmosphere for our group. I'm almost converted to vegan food (and only a few things were really 'raw' - many were cooked lightly. For me, highlights were the sandwiches, which have such creative and flavourful fillings, especially compared with the usual boring tomato/lettuce leaf combinations at other much higher priced vegan teas in London. I also loved the amazing coconut cream that accompanied the scones - the flavour was actually only a hint of coconut, and it tasted to me similar to dairy whipped cream. Will definitely go back.

Planned a once in a lifetime 5 week roadtrip to Southern Italy. On our way back, we routed a layover in London to experience this hot spot with such history and stellar reviews. Had 8 pm reservations and was offered a tiny table squashed into a corner where we'd barely fit. They accommodated our wishes to sit at a better, more ample, spaced table. Only to be told 5 minutes after being seated that we had to move to the table we already disclosed was too tiny. Haven't experienced this rudeness ever. Removed ourselves and had dinner at Sawyer's Arms. An unexpected glitch in a outstanding Italian adventure. Not an outstanding experience at the Victoria unfortunately. Could have been handled differently.
