La Roche in City of London, Westminster

The coffee and cake were ok but the service is awful. So unfriendly! When we weren't immediately ready to order they seemed disgruntled. Then the manageress came over to take our orders. Her expression was one of complete cold disdain. I really wanted to ask if it would kill her to smile! While we were eating one of the waitresses held the door ajar while chatting to someone in the street on this bitterly cold day. Just a horrible, unwelcoming atmosphere in general and to add insult to injury, service is added to the bill. Avoid.

Overpriced. Went in for a cup of tea, and only after they brought the order did they let me know that drinks was only short stay.

The atmosphere is good for chilling and they have great music taste.

Nice place to visit before the theatre. The lamb moussaka was amazing. They accidentally left items we didn’t get on our bill, and don’t keep the restroom stocked with paper.

Food was shocking, staff were rude I will definitely not be visiting this place again.

I just simply see that atmosphere and communication of the stuff were incredible. The food were super fantastic and tasty. I can't literally describe how was that test, it needs to be practiced there by selft! The next time, my destination is going to be La Roche again.

It’s amazing, the mediterranean feel really hits you right in the guts. The service is actually impeccable, the fact it’s on St. Martins street and the overall vibe of the place is amazing. I’d recommend going here at least once in your life. 10/10.

Pasé por aquí para cenar pensando que un buen resutarant pequeño proporcionaría algo de comida casera. Parecía que cualquier buena comida estaba en el microondas, ninguno de los servidores entendía inglés claramente y los precios eran el equivalente a un restaurante decente. Tuvo que pedir comida para calentarse ya que hacía frío en el medio.

So I went here very hesitant as don’t like to try new things as im very stubborn but I am so glad that I did the pork ribs are amazing and that lemon tart wow absolutely amazing atmosphere the staff are superb just amazing definitely going again very very soon

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to from the outstanding variety menu and prices to the up most friendly and polite service from start to finish. Nothing was to much trouble. I will definitely be going again and resending to family and friends

I ordered crispy battered courgette. I expected thin slices, crisp light batter. What I got was brown, reheated ( in a microwave ) soggy thick slices.

Cuando fuimos a abrir la puerta, uno de los servidores agarró la puerta y nos interrogó sobre por qué estamos entrando! Esa debería haber sido la primera bandera roja. Cuando nos sentamos y ordenamos, las dos chicas jóvenes eran increíblemente groseras, soplando y soplando, poniendo los ojos en blanco y nos hizo el problema de que odian su trabajo! La comida es muy cara y todo el tiempo que estuve comiendo uno estaba mirando a todos hacia abajo y la otra chica estaba sobrevolando a la gente. ¡Nunca más iremos allí! Absolutamente asqueroso.

Came here to drink only, waitress/manager wasn't polite, friendly or anything else. Mojito wasn't that bad, but she said "No Happy Hour" while the Happy Hours sign was displayed in front of the bar. Not even a smile, just putting things under your face, whether it's your drink or the bill... Even refused our friends while there was other seats/tables for them to take. Kinda sad to be like that. Food looked good, and many drink options (didn't see how it was inside tho)

The last time we will walk into a place without looking at the 3.8 stars this place has… it deserves 2 stars if that. The waitress is very pushy and rushed you. We got a 2 lattes, a breakfast sandwich and a yogurt. The breakfast sandwich was two slabs of white bread, 1 scrambled bland egg and burnt sausage. The lattes were awful.

Estaba lloviendo y un amigo sugirió tomar café en La Roche. Solía ir allí hace unos años. Creo que ahora hay una nueva dirección. Con los 50 p extra para la leche de avena mi café era casi £ 5. Estábamos a la mitad de nuestras bebidas cuando una camarera se acercó con la cuenta. Luego acabamos de terminar nuestras bebidas y la camarera nos dijo que teníamos que irnos como nuestro tiempo había terminado! Solo nos habíamos sentado allí unos 20 minutos. Mi amigo lo cuestionó pero la camarera dijo de nuevo que teníamos que irnos! Había tres mesas vacías de dos plazas y una mesa vacía de tres plazas. No había cola ni nadie esperando una mesa. El café no fue terrible, pero no fue el mejor que he tomado. Si no hubiera sido por eso, habría vuelto en otro momento para comer, ya que a menudo estoy en la zona con amigos de un grupo social, pero definitivamente no volveré a ir allí y tampoco lo recomendaré al grupo social! ¡Es tan grosero!

Lovely little café in the heart of Covent Garden. Service was friendly and fast & the food (we had the veggie breakfast) was of great quality. They also have a range of tarts & patisseries that looked fantastic (but unfortunately didn’t have one this time). They do charge 12.5% service charge. Normally I’d tip approximately 10% anyway.

Pequeño café encantador en el corazón de Covent Garden. El servicio era amable y rápido y la comida (tuvimos el desayuno vegetariano) era de gran calidad. También tienen una gama de tartas y pastelerías que se veían fantásticas (pero desafortunadamente no tenía una esta vez). Ellos cobran 12. 5% de cargo por servicio pero si normalmente propina 10% de todos modos.

Fuimos a la parte del café hoy y nos recibieron comprar el Grinch! (No la dama rubia) Estaba vacío y nos sentamos en un asiento y movimos dos mesas para evitar el espacio de la puerta para mi madre anciana. Nos despidieron y nos llevaron a los cuatro asientos de la puerta. Debí haber dicho que no y marcharme... ¡Sin hola ni bienvenida! Sin embargo, el café era agradable y el pastel era bueno, pero a un alto precio y servicio sin una sonrisa, vergüenza. 39 GPB para 3 trozos de pastel y 3 de café, creo que es un poco excesivo!

We stopped to eat at midday. The food wasn't bad but not exceptional! A packet of mayonnaise is out of date. The service is OK but we are refused to close the door even though it is cold in the restaurant. Even the waitress puts on her vest.

Petit restaurant avec un très bon accueil. Deux serveuses extrêmement gentilles et un excellent fichier and chips. Merci pour ce dîner. Trois français,très satisfaits de ce restaurant.
