One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. I had to make my order 3 times before they even started to make my order. The service was absolutely abysmal

What a lovely, lovely place!! Great atmosphere, yummy food. We have been here several times over the years, albeit this is the first time we review. We have had dinner, or just a cheese platter with some wine, and also drop in for coffee and cake. The clientele can be families, or tourists alike. Everything is above average, it is always a treat to go. The staff could not be friendlier, no fast changing personnel either which is a good sign in itself. We are looking forward to next time. Do not go Sunday too late though, early closing :-)

First review I've ever written. It looked like it would be a lovely experience. One of the first evenings of the year warm enough to dine outside. A table was available on the terrace so on impulse we decided to take our chances. The ambience inside is lovely, likewise this corner spot in Bloomsbury is beautiful. Then it went downhill. I had a thin Bloody Mary that frankly tasted like tomato juice and vodka, not much else. In fairness it does say '25mm measure' on the menu but not being up on my measures didn't realise this was a single measure - far too little for a half decent Bloody Mary. It was served with Tabasco but this couldn't make up for the paucity of ingredients. Also no celery, in its place one tiny gherkin, split in two. I could have let it pass but it cost £12:50. It set the tone for the rest of the meal. For me, a clam and mussel Linguine. Happy to be corrected on this by the restaurant but I counted 3 of each in a rather tasteless sauce that I suspect was made with cheap cherry tomatoes. However I won't be corrected on the fact that at least one of those 3 clams was gritty. It was also a very small portion of pasta, at best a starter. On the positive side it was fresh rather than dried. This for £23. No bread was offered - I didn't dare ask how much it cost. I won't go on other than to say one of my companions had a 'plate pairing' of Piccalilli sauce to accompany her Jambon (itself perfectly fine) which cost £3 for probably little more than a tablespoon of sauce, homemade but judged to be thin and overly sweet. We didn't complain because we're British and the waitress was lovely. We left feeling like we'd be mugged over by a very convincing con artist.

Food and wine were more than ok, but service was really rather slow. Getting a couple of bottles of wine took about 20 minutes, and though they were very busy, it was only wine. I personally would not have gone there if I had known they welcome individuals like B. Johnson, who left soon after we arrived. They can do as they please, but I would stay away,

Excellent- we called in off chance and were accommodated by the lovely staff. Excellent wine and cheese to die for not to mention the homemade limoncello. Left feeling satisfied and with a bag of treats to take home. We will be back (and ordering online!!!!).

What is happening with the customer service at Paul bakery at hampstead? The girl with white robe looks like she hates peoples, I don’t feel to go there anymore to spend my money cause I probably needs to apologize to her if a dare to buy something from you guys !!! I hope the situation changes as I love Paul’s bakery and is a chame customers are treated so unwelcome.

If you're looking for the best crêpes in town, don't miss the original crêpe stand—it's amazing and totally worth the visit! Be careful not to confuse it with the new stand next door run by a local pub; it doesn't match the quality of the original. Stick with the best!

Went there recently after a break of about a year and found it quite disappointing. Seems they are now only doing carboard cups, and paper napkins for plates. Cake range seems to have decreased. I used to quite enjoy visiting this place before lockdown as it had a nice atmosphere and quality service, even if it was a little more expensive, Now its like going into a Starbucks or Costa. I think they had better try to improve things pretty quick or their loyal customers will find somewhere else to go.
