As a local who hasn't visited before I highly recommend this addition to the neighbourhood, it was patently obvious I hadn't a clue how to order a takeaway on their 'kiosk/display ' & instantly the charming 'Antoinette' patiently explained how to search the menu & choose. I did & our dishes appeared promptly & we were gifted additional sauces etc . The food proved to be as delightful as the service . Thank you ..we'll be back .🖖

I've been to other branches of Itsu several times and this had by far the poorest selection across the board. The sushi in particular was limited to just salmon and vegetarian options. If the prices could make you think you were in a high quality restaurant, the atmosphere, cleanliness of the toilets (no soap) and food quality (which was fine but unspectacular) would soon bring you back down to earth. It wasn't bad, but the food quality and variety should be considerably better for what they charge.

Rice in salmon suchi was with wasabi in the middle. It was spicy without warning. First time in my life I see rice in sushi with spice add-ons. There was no warning about it. Normally if you want spicy, you will add yourself, but here you cannot chose. My daughter cannot eat it. So waist of money and spoiled evening.

The one good thing I have to say is that they were willing to remove an ingredient from an order. Service was fine. Other than that the portions were too small and the food was okay at best. You can't blame the staff for bad recipes though, so if I was rating the staff I'd give it four stars.

I took my mother here for lunch as a pick me up after a terrible morning.Firstly we were ignored at the door so sat down and waited to be approached.The waiter was very short with us as if we were inconveniencing them by wanting to order.We got the Chicken Baguette as it used to be a favourite of ours when we used to come here occasionally. When it arrived the chips were cold and there was hardly any chicken in the baguette. I have never complained in a restaurant before but given their rude demeanour and now insulting portion for a hefty £12 you would expect at to have more than a crusty roll dumped on your table.The waiter was outraged that we dared to ask for the chips to be hot and the baguette to be full and got even ruder. The manager came over and was then equally condescending as if we were trying to get a free meal! It was such a horrible experience that we paid and left as quickly as possible. The manager didn’t want a bad review so she scribbled out on our receipt that we could come back for a free dish next time but after that we would never go back. They clearly invest their time in their regulars who given its Hampstead location are good tippers. Such a shame after going here for so many years.My sister did however return a few weeks ago with the voucher I had as I didn’t want to go back and she said that the service was fine and had no problems. She was lucky to get a friendly waitress and a smooth visit.

Popped in for an informal lunch whilst doing the rounds in my village. I know its a chain but the service is still personal and was given a choice of seating on arrival. I always like a window seat looking onto the high street... perfect for star spotting on ;)I am not a massive wine buff but the house red was lovely. Starters and the mains came out quickly and had no complaints. Will certainly be popping back in soon. Great for a quick spot of lunch without having to pay over the odds in an affluent location.

Hoy hemos recibido una comida y un servicio absolutamente asquerosos en Cafe Rouge Hampstead. Primero, mi novio recibió un Champignons A L'ail quemado sin reemplazo, disculpa o descuento. Mi primer plato llegó frío, solo dio una palmada en un plato sin ninguna presentación. Luego tomamos nuestros platos principales que ni siquiera pudimos terminar porque sabían tan frescos y congelados. No nos dieron cubiertos en el momento de la comida, así que ya estaba fría. Hemos esperado tanto tiempo también, 25 minutos antes de que llegara el entrante y no es un restaurante lleno de mesas vacías. Luego el postre, se desmoronan con la salsa y la crema completamente aguadas. La crema no tenía consistencia en absoluto. Muy decepcionados por una comida que pudimos cocinar en casa nosotros mismos para una mejor experiencia. Llegamos a las 13. 30 y la izquierda 15. 40, servicio muy largo para comida fresca. Tenemos los dos calambres en el estómago después de la comida ahora.

He estado en el Café Rouge Hampstead con mi novia un domingo de enero. Esta ha sido una experiencia terrible. Después de haber esperado 35 minutos, mi primer plato, Champignon l'ail (foto) se sirvió quemado. Pedí la Bouillabaisse que estaba asquerosa y simplemente descongelada. No hay valor añadido; Recolectando comida de baja calidad sin congelar en un solo plato. Los precios son excesivamente altos para una comida de tan baja calidad. Me siento enfermo ahora. Yo también soy francés y me sentí insultado de que esto pudiera pretender ser un "restaurante francés". El desmoronamiento fue el último desastre: la crema estaba llena de agua. El servicio tampoco fue pro. Evitar a toda costa.

Mi novio y yo fuimos a comer un bocado un domingo por la tarde y nos sentimos muy decepcionados. El comienzo fue prometedor con mi novio y yo, cada uno de los cuales elegimos una cola de sándwich de flor de saúco, que fue refrescante y deliciosa. En cuanto a la comida, ambos decidimos ir por el menú fijo. Comenzamos con el paté de trucha ahumado, que tuvimos que esperar media hora, pero era bastante sabroso. Luego esperamos al menos otra media hora para nuestros horribles platos principales, mi novio eligió un chausseur de pollo muy normal que no era muy agradable, mientras que los pasteles de pescado apenas calurosos venían con papas frías. Notando de inmediato, la camarera fue a intercambiar las fichas aunque ninguna apareció. Finalmente tuve que llamar la atención de los gerentes, ya que nuestra desatenta camarera había desaparecido. La mayoría de las mesas cercanas estaban igual de disgustadas y sentí pena por el pobre gerente que parecía estar corriendo para limpiar el desorden de las camareras desaparecidas. Final muy decepcionante para un precioso paseo por el brezal. No lo recomendaría.

It was easy for us ... bus 268 stops almost across the road and there is a zebra crossing = excellent!! We were greeted by a friendly waitress and selected a table where we settled down to enjoy Afternoon Tea ... slightly different from other experiences but excellent - instead of the anticipated little sandwiches we had a scrumptious "croque ... mushrooms" - well, I had most oif it because the other half doesn't like mushrooms BUT he had the sublime (he said) chocolate mousse - both ...The croque was scrummy; lots of it and delicious; the truffle oil ensures even the crusts were very tasty!! The scones were a little dark but, again, "the other half"(!) thoroughly enjoyed them both, while we sort of shared the cakes - again, the kind waitress permitted us to exchange the coconut cake for a second carrot slice ... Thus we enjoyed a delicious and leisurely hour or so in very comfortable surroundings and enjoyed chatting with the very friendly staff ... we noted that there is a "Piaf" evening every Wednesday and so, possibly in the New Year we might just indulge ... it was a first visit but we confidently anticipate returning - we could even have (me!) the mushroom croque while my beloved could have the traditional "croque monsieur" ... well, he is a m'sieu!!!

We just had our work Christmas lunch here, party of about 15,where for starters, some had prawn cocktail without the prawns, the chef or cook forgot to put them in, for that we were compensated with a bottle of Prosecco and the prawns were brought on the side to be added; I along some other colleagues had Butternut Squash soup with a dry piece of sourdough bread and another colleague had Duck and Fig Terrine which she enjoyed immensely. For the main the majority of us had the Turkey Ballotine, which I didn’t enjoy at all, the turkey was very dry as well as the vegetables, needless to say most of it went to waste and the rest of the colleagues had smoked cod &spinach; not enjoyable either, needless to say I was highly disappointed and never again

The four of us had a meal here on a Sunday afternoon and the waitress who took our order made numerous mistakes. The shared platter didn't have any olives and when we queried this she said it didn't come with olives - we had to fetch a menu and show her that it said olives in the ingredients. She then went and got us some, without an apology. She didn't clear away any of the starter plates when she brought the main course. She only brought 3 main courses out of 4, and didn't admit that she had forgotten to tell the chef about the 4th meal, instead telling us that the meal would be coming "soon". Twenty five minutes later when the three of us had finished, I said we wanted the bill and we wouldn't be paying for the missing 4th meal. A manageress then came over and apologised and made some fair deductions from our bill. I'm sympathetic to the manageress but really they should train the waiting staff better and explain to them that an apology goes a long way. The meal itself was about average in quality and flavour for a Cafe Rouge meal.

Went for a dinner on a weekday. Waiting staff, this time from Hungary, had of course recently started, hence did not know the dishes nor how to pronounce them in the language they were written in. If only language spoken is broken english, then do not write dishes on the menu in french or italian.

The two of us visited here around 8pm on a Friday night. The waiting staff were great -both friendly and polite. However, the food was disappointing and what was really annoying was that we asked for 10 minutes between first and main course but our main course appeared immediately after our first courses. The main courses had obviously been prepared while we were eating our starters and tasted like reheated food from a school canteen - soggy chips which had obviously been fried in old oil and a croquet madam that had a wonderfully tasty freshly fried egg on toast that had been sitting for 5 or 6 minutes!

Will keep this short and brief (unlike our wait for food, bills etc). Brought my 2 young siblings out for lunch, was sat promptly and given the menus quickly. As soon as I showed the waitress my Wuntu app code for £5 meal, that was the end of the good service! Waited over an hour and a half after the meal for the bill after asking 4/5 times, then the bill came FULL PRICE, even though I showed my code before ordering and before asking for the bill... The cherry on top was not receiving my change and being scoffed at when asking for the change (£1.50), acting entitled to a tip when the service was atrocious! We ended up being 1:30h late to an appointment I had booked thanks to this wait!! Never to return and would suggest if you have a code/coupon/discount not to use this branch because they will act as if you’re not a paying customer entitled to a good experience!!

Had an evening meal. Saturday 7/10. Ordered drinks, wine brought by waiter he poured out 3 glasses even though 2 men had ordered beers. He spilt wine as poured too fast. Beers stayed sat on bar for at least 10 minutes. Had to catch eye of other waiter to bring over. Food good can't fault it. Bill presented without asking but when I said have 25% discount code waiter wanted my phone to show his manager, She should have come to the table. A 'Sharing Plate of Charcuterie' had an old breakfast sausage (as in 'bangers and mash' type sausage) sliced into a few pieces,..there was some curled up celery and carrot sticks. A tiny pot of hummus - some ice cold olives and four grubby radishes. My onion soup had two chunks of bread floating on what tasted like Bovril A salad that was meant to have frisée, walnuts, apple, goat cheese ...had literally two tiny grains of nut, two matchstick slivers of apple and was the size of a side dish- not a main. All this took 45 minutes to appear - not a busy time of day either. The waiter was nice - poor man must be embarrassed to work in such a rip-off of a place. AND it came to £42

Went for lunch at Cafe Rouge Hampstead on a Saturday towards the end of August. It was not particular busy. We were four people, two adults and two children. The waiter got our order wrong twice; my wife ended up having to accept a starter she hadn't ordered simply so we could all eat together. My daughter's dish was wrong. The service was incredibly slow (a 40 minute wait for the main courses). We complained, and while the manageress was apologetic and gave us some money off our bill (explaining they had a lot of staff turnover and were under-resourced in the kitchen), the overall experience was deeply negative. The Gents toilet was also out of order. We weren't the only customers complaining about the slow service. I really cannot see why you would go here given there are plenty of other options close by. I will never be returning to Cafe Rouge.

Come esperienza gastronomica non e' stata particolarmente memorabile, né mi aspettavo che lo fosse, perché, in fin dei conti, questo locale fa parte di una grande catena ; un po' piu' curata di altre, nella scelta e presentazione dei piatti , ma sempre catena e' . Comunque, non ho neanche grossi appunti da fare. La mia crepe aux champignons era un filino troppo cotta e si era leggermente tostata, ma il sapore era buono lo stesso e la porzione abbondante, e accompagnata da ottime frites. Locale bello, arioso, arredato con gusto, nella via principale di Hampstead e vicino alla fermata metro. Quando ci sono andata io ( un sabato a ora di pranzo ) non era molto pieno, quindi servizio piuttosto rapido.

We travelled up to Hampstead as my parents wanted to visit the deepest underground station, so we decided to head up early and find a place for Breakfast. We visited this cafe for breakfast and we were greeted with friendly staff, food was excellent quality and very good value for money. Be prepared for a lack of phone signal in this area though. It is a great place to visit for breakfast if you want to escape the 'business' of zone 1 in London.

Ido cuesta abajo! Fuimos un domingo por la mañana. Bastante tranquila pero se llenaba. Personal y paraba por puerta esperando antes de finalmente ser atendidos. Dijo que sentarse donde yo quería. No es especialmente amable. Menú básico pero suficiente. Pedimos el salmón ahumado, huevos revueltos y tostadas. Tostadas apenas tostado. Huevos revueltos eran sosas y salmón snmoked no sabor fresco. Horrible. Podría haber hecho un mejor trabajo en casa. Le faltaba profundidad de un estándar y presentación. Más como algo que podría hacer yo en casa y tengo un horrible

En primer lugar, debo felicitar a nuestro camarero joven siciliano. Paciente, encantador, servicial. Desayuno. Una preciosa mesa de esquina afuera en un día soleado. He pedido mi café - un gran café con leche desnatada en el lateral. Sólo tienen semi. Tengo una alergia, así que ¿qué más pueden ofrecer? Nada! ! Realmente? Especialmente en Hampstead, donde hay muchas opciones! Me encuentro a Tesco a comprar una pinta de leche desnatada y encontrarse con otro servidor de comprar una mano de plátanos para la cocina!

Café Rouge no es famoso por su comida, pero si quieres una comida sencilla y sin pretensiones es normalmente bien. La sucursal de hampstead es simplemente horrible, su atención al cliente es mala. Fuimos allí en 30 de junio para la cena, el lugar estaba prácticamente vacío. La camarera era inútil y pasó su tiempo ignorando a los clientes y inclinada contra la pared mientras que el camarero era como un pollo corriendo sin cabeza. Les tomó 15 minutos para conseguir la cerveza embotellada y otros 15 minutos al final de mi comida a un pre-postre preparado frío. Cuando finalmente logré mi factura me dijeron 'propina no está incluido. Obviamente, no dejen a uno y no volveremos.

Después de nuestro primer día en Hampstead, no sabíamos dónde ir a comer, así que vimos que había un Café Rouge en la calle alta y decidimos entrar. Lo que nos gusta de ellos es que están abiertos prácticamente todo el tiempo y sabes lo que vas a conseguir con ellos. La comida es comida bastante estándar estilo café pero encaja si no son nada demasiado elaborado. Siempre es bueno si tienes algo de dinero de los cupones, pero ¿alguien en realidad pagar el precio completo para cualquiera de las ofertas de estos días. . . . ?

Cafe Rouge launched in 1989. As a youngster I remember Cafe Rouge being popular with those that didn't want to eat slippers or artery clogging butters and oils with their 'food'. This coupled with not having to pay Avenue Montaigne prices I believe was key to its success. Based on my recent visit only a hint of the magic still remains of the good old days.

Avoid bad service bad food The most unfriendly staff ever worked at this cafe bakery and I do know the place for 20 years. Good used to be much much better. On top of that the prices gone hugely.

If you're looking for the best crêpes in town, don't miss the original crêpe stand—it's amazing and totally worth the visit! Be careful not to confuse it with the new stand next door run by a local pub; it doesn't match the quality of the original. Stick with the best!

nous avons diné chez Pomme de Pain un dimanche et nous avons été très bien accueillies. L'équipe est très professionnelle et parle meme français. Nous avons mangé une galette complète qui était très bonne, comme en Bretagne. Nous y reviendrons bientôt c'est certain. Un grand merci à toute l'équipe pour leur accueil.
