La Friends Pizzeria in Canterbury

Hands down the worst, overcooked, dry flavourless pizza I have ever had. The one star is for the swift delivery. The cardboard pizza box tastes better. The ingredients are 2nd rate cash and carry junk. The owner should be ashamed letting this stuff go out when there is so much competition around for pizza. Shame on you.

At first the food looked okie (chicken wings and chip ) the chicken isn’t there and it’s like biting tree bark the chip look crispy however chewier then a gummy and omg the burger looking like it was straight out of Argos it was terrible will never be getting it again and to top it off half the menu want there and taken off ( they took off food from the menu because it too popular) can someone help my brain with that one

Omg eaten here for a long but tonight 1hr and 30mins to deliver when said 20mins Then for the food to finally turn up onion ring burnt, cheesy chip so dry. That was one thing then to eat the pizza and found hair in 3 pieces of pizza total disgrace. We did call and they said no one has hair that works here.

Normally get a pizza here every month. Last pizza had pineapple that had turned and smell bad. Got told that it's only fresh. Time to change pizza takeaway.

The pizza was greasy, soggy & not thin even though we selected thin crust. The toppings were sparse and the cheesy chips which we received instead of the mozzarella sticks we ordered and onion rings were also soggy and horrible.

They have some strange rules, you can order 2 pizzas with 3 toppings each, but they seemingly put these topping on at random. Because of this I had a sausage and anchovy pizza, which wasn't what I wanted. Upon complaining that the pizza was wrong I was told that I was the one in the wrong. Instead of putting down 6 toppings in the order that you want them, they should give you the choice of picking which pizza you would like to have what topping. This is not hard to do and would save a lot of agro. I was refused when I asked to replace my pizzas, no refund or exchange was given and they hung up on me. Very disappointing.

A really nice pizzeria, they have lots of topping, so unlike some didn't throw away a large amount of the crust with nothing on we especially like the Diy pizza where you chose your own topping, really impressed and have decided this is where we will get our pizzas, from now on

Food was excellent….Only reason for 4stars instead of 5 was unfortunately it did take 1 ½ hours to be delivered. Advised 55 mins . But in their defence it was a Saturday night .

Highly recommend La friends Pizza's, This is always my go to for pizza's. Very tasty, good service and I cannot recommend the 24 in pizza, such good value for money 😀

Ordered then waited over 2 an half hours for the food even after multiple calls saying it was 15mins away. Even tho at place of order it said 55 minutes. Then the food turned up wrong and cold and not answering the phone now to us

Walked into the shop with my son for our dinner ordered a kids pizza meal, then went to order pasta and was told abruptly no pasta. So I then ordered a quarter pounder tower with no chips. I was told that would be nearly £14 so questioned the price and they had changed me just eat prices and for a half pounder burger. This didn't match the price on the board. So after it was corrected but begrudgingly, I paid and we left when it was ready to find I had a chicken burger with burger sauce and 2 burnt hash browns. It gets 1 stars as my son was happy with his pizza.

First order tonight. Loved the pizza and chicken and chips. Massive portions and good prices as well. Delivery was on time. My new go to for pizza.

Pizza was ok…. Bit sloppy but was happy to eat it. Wouldn’t order it again but wouldn’t turn it down either.

First time ordering from the shop and last time no flavour in good at all only taste from the food is pure oil cheese has no flavour and stuffed crust is more watery then the sea even dogs turned it down

Menu is a bit confusing when you look at it first time. For example, from the top in pizzas menu it has choice of pizza base, but doesn't have prices written there for different options, so you get the impression that the price is same for all. Then you have a list of set options for toppings and prices for them. You order one, and they ask for a bit more than what you think you will pay. You pay thinking that you must have made a mistake. Then you look at the menu again to find out where you went wrong reading the menu. It's same, no mention of price difference for bases, just price for different size pizzas by toppings. Then you look further down, and there is another menu for stuffed crust pizzas, which has same format level as pizzas menu - red background showing start of a new menu, and same font as a top level menu, giving the impression that it is not a sub menu of pizzas menu. This sub menu, that looks like a main menu section has the prices of different bases at the bottom of the toppings list. It feels like you didn't read the small print for a contract before signing it. Menu could be a bit clearer, separating the two steps, on the top, a section to choose a pizza base and know its price, then follow the next step to add the price of toppings.

I didn't really enjoy my pizza, however I know a lot of people who do enjoy La Friends. I'm afraid I found the topping rather stringy & therefore the taste bland. Sorry not impressed!

Ordered food from here on just eat whilst at the beach, they delivered to the beach for us, was lovely food, great service and really helpful staff. Will be ordering again for sure 👍

Pizza toppings just fall off the pizza, base remains intact. Very greasy. Chicken wings were clearly recooked as tasted very dry and overdone

Omg this place is the best!!! They make the biggest pizza in Kent, its by far the eat I've ever tastes too!

As my title says this is certainly not the best pizza in herne bay but also not the worse, was nice and hot and arrived on time but not the greatest flavour. The problem was the marinara sauce on the pizza was far to strong and overpowered the other toppings on it and was literally all you could taste. On the plus the sides were good (delicious mozzarella sticks) and the dough on the pizza also had a nice "snap" when bitten. Nearly there, if they can tweak that marinana then the other pizza places in the Bay may have some competition.

As a pizza lover with all my lucidity I can say that this was hands down the best pizza I’ve ever tried! Juicy but with crispy thick edges Only looking at it makes your mouth water! Don’t miss this place in case you’re in Herne Bay!

Ordered a chicken and mushroom pizza and a pasta salad for the first time from La Friends and I was very impressed with both the quality of the food and the prompt and courteous service! I will certainly use Friends Pizzeria again and will recommend them to my friends....!

I was reccomended the la friends pizza shop by a friend. We Ordered 2 12inch takeaway pizzas for myself and my partner, the order arrived piping hot and on time (we live around 10mins away) . The pizza was very fresh and much more authentic than some of the franchised pizza companies in the town.I highly reccomend this company for a takeaway and am very please with how good the pizza was and am very happy with it as I'd much rather give my money to a local business."We begin with the first bite. Very good - the pizzas arrived exactly on time and the delivery driver was friendly and polite. The pizzas were hot, and very tasty! Lots of flavour, nice cheese and tomato sauce - can recommend the Vegetarian Hot - great taste with the fresh green chillies!! Great price too, 2 x 12" pizzas for £17, great service - couldn't ask for more!

After the disappointment of Dominos and Papa Johns recently we had given up on takeaway pizza, decided last minute to give this place a go and really glad we did. The Formaggi Pizza was delicious, Meat and BBQ ones went down well too! none of the pizza were greasy and I would recommend this place to friends.

We as a family use is friends as a treat each month. Quick delivery an food is always perfect.. the delivery driver didnt have change this evening but returned promptly with our change very polite young man. One of the best in our local town.

Food wasn't great pizza base need to be crispier, chips were disgusting and the delivery guy forgot the drink and never returned with it AFTER we had all ready paid for it not happy at all.

Price looked good but you certainly get what you pay for. Pizza was greasy and floppy. Chips were soft and limp. Delivery guy forgot the drink too. Won't order from again.

Ordered food (pizza and garlic bread) for delivery to a local hotel cos we were feeling especially lazy.Food was fresh and hot.The delivery driver phoned when he was in reception so we were able to meet him immediately and not leave him hanging around.Great service and tasty food.

Not their usual good quality pizza. This time it seemed rushed and undercooked. The cheese was not melted properly and was undercooked to the point that the base was still floppy and fell apart.

I always order from here..but over the last month, the food has not been as good., as it has been in the past..the salad in the burgers, is now virtually non existent, and garlic bread very soggy....such a shame, that this has gone downhill..

cheesy chips were a chunk of mess. just a big chunk of yellow rubber on chips. pineapple was left off the pizza - we even paid extra for it! we ordered one thin and one deep pan pizza and they both came the same... I can’t even tell you which was which or if they were both medium pan?... overall pretty low quality food... I guess they’re trying to make up for it in quantity?...
