I have been here several times and have always had good food and the setting makes for a delightful relaxing evening with friends. Having lived and worked in Morocco (many moons ago) I just love being taken back to what was a wonderful country - don't know what it s like now! As soon as you enter the restaurant the aroma takes me straight back there, and the food is authentic, beautifully cooked and served. I guarantee you will find it difficult to eat everything as there is so much food.

We went with friends 8 of us in all and at £35 per head thought it a bit pricy basically you get pita bread cut in strips (cheap at supermarkets) humous and then I realised NO £35 it WAS WORTH IT we had a lovely evening , home mde dips , I haven't eaten couscous for15 years as it was badly cooked and putme off , changed my mind now! The couscous with moist chicken was yummy I had more, I'm allergic to fish but those that had the monkfish said it was superb, I loved the rose meringues and baklava . And YES check out the loo it's cute ,saving to go again prob next year

Four of us visited on the 21st December 2014 as a treat before Christmas... And it certainly was! We used SAT Nav to find the restaurant, and were a little confused to find a large house with a double drive and no huge lit up restaurant sign? I got out of the car and soon saw the name plate on the gate post... Then spotted a series of lit lanterns which took us down the side of the house, garage and through the gardens. (Wondered where it was leading and a slight panic came over me... And then it became clear!) The restaurant is hidden and quite magical. The dining room is authentically decorated in Moroccan artefacts and patterns, lit beautifully with candles, tea lights and scented with rose petals and incense. The ceiling is draped with fabrics making the room feel very different to any restaurant I've been to before. The dining area is cosy and intimate. There was only four of us and we felt privileged to have the experience to ourselves. The table was beautifully decorated and included luxury Christmas crackers. On arrival Sharon (the chef, owner, hostess etc) greated us making us feel very relaxed and welcome. We were guided to the conservatory attached to the dinning room, that had comfy sofas, and more Morocan atmosphere. (You soon forget you're sat in a modern double glazed room!) We were then treated to complimentary Buck's Fizz and left to relax and chat. With the help from Sharon's daughter the starters were brought in, and we were called to the table. After cleansing our hands with rose water we began to explore the many traditional delights, including homemade bread. I can honestly say that everyone enjoyed the huge array of taste experiences. You are left to enjoy the food by yourselves and then Sharon reappears as if by magic to clear and set up the next course. We liked this. The mains were again authentic and homemade. The first - moist, tender lamb slowly cooked in a tagine was cooked with many spices - yet I found to be quite subtle. The second - chicken breast with apricots - also in a tagine and melt in the mouth. This was spicier with the addition of cayenne pepper and actually my favourite (despite not usually enjoying apricots! But they way they were soaked and cooked made them very different). Desserts were a mix of Morocan kisses (rose meringues, cream and pomegranate) and the most gorgeous lemon posset - sweet yet sharp. Also shortbread, strawberry, dates, Turkish delight and other traditional sweets were served alongside the desserts and a freshly brewed mint tea. The attention to detail in the food and surroundings really made this a special, unique occasion. Even the water was served from perfectly chilled glass Morocan bottles continuing the theme. We were all contented (very full) and had the most interesting evening/night. At £35 a head it was really worth the money. (Cash or cheque only). We will definitely return sometime and try a different selection of food. It is rare to find someone as passionate as Sharon who creates food from scratch and not from a freezer! I would recommend anyone to try out this truly unique dining experience. (Also I'd recommend trying the toilet out... Yep I did say that! Another unique and quaint experience) Thank you to Sharon and her daughter for our first taste of Morocan food.

Let me start by telling any readers that I was suffering a cold and maybe this put my taste buds off. The place itself is a well set out room, made to conjure pictures in the mind of Morocco, to which I've never been. Our host was welcoming and helpful and I hope my thoughts are taken positively. The starters were very good. I've never tried this cuisine before and a friend of mine from Sheffield had told me I would enjoy the subtle flavours. The starters didn't disappoint at all and all 11 of the group enjoyed them so off to a good start. The service was laid back and we weren't rushed at all with the host explaining each dish we were trying. Most of us had opted for the feast at £35 a head. This consisted of 4 starters, 3 mains and a selection of sweets. Unfortunately the mains didn't live up to expectation. The first meat dish I found very bland and over cooked, as if kept hot too long. As I had a cold I double checked with my wife and friend next to me who felt the same, along with others. The next dish was a chicken and apricot which was better but still not as tasty as expected. One of our group did say that Moroccan food was not meant to be spicy which I accept but couldn't help contrasting the experience of the starters over the mains. We didn't have the monkfish which could have been an oversight on their part. The sweets were ok along with the small individual sweets to help ourselves to and the mint tea which I found refreshing. I don't know if cooking for a group caused an issue for the kitchen but I feel that they weren't quite at their best. It's the first time I've posted a review and hope it's not too critical and maybe we should have said something on the night, but having feedback can only help improve things in my opinion.

What a little gem, which we found by chance! This is not your normal restaurant but a small and intimate Moroccan eating experience. The food is really well presented and the taste is great, the atmosphere of the place is authentic and cosy. Booking can be restricted so don't be put off if you can't get in exactly when you want but it is worth waiting for. The host , Sharon, looks after you from the moment you get there to when you leave. Thoroughly recommended and we will visit again.

Ok tried once never again iam not saying the cod and chips wasn't good Because they was! But the hygiene 🤮 how he hasn't been shut down I don't know you can see years of yellow fat grease he also keeps wiping his hands on a dirty cloth that even a tramp wouldn't use instead of washing his hands and using paper towels, I felt quite dirty waiting for chips and cod Shame because other than a dirty run down shop and hygiene the chips and cod was lovely
