Lovely place, great atmosphere food and staff. Nice little seating area outside and ts dog friendly.

Family meal and we thought we'd give them a try . The food was good and well prepared , the staff were mostly sociable and pleasant . The Halloween decorations were well done and some of the staff got into the spirit . The deserts were plentiful and tasty . Reasonably priced . Toilets well used but clean for the most part . Nice . We shall return , once I can do my belt up .

Massively overpriced with very average food and DIY “service”. The food isn’t bad, just not worth the 2-3x the price you would pay elsewhere. Ignore the sign near the door saying “wait here to be seated”. You will wait forever while being ignored. Just find a table, it’s the usual order with an app, zero service anyway so what’s the point in making people wait to be seated?

Staff are lovely. Food took longer than expected, but the staff made up for this. Vegan bacon butty is very small for the price. Fries are delicious but are served in small portions.

I give this RESTAURANT A MASSIVE ZERO If you are looking forward to having there pasta dish then you will be disappointed as it comes looking like watered down Couscous!! And to make matters worse the service from the Manager on my feedback was borderline rude and offensive! No apology and actually said that she wasn’t bothered about how I felt and continued to respond in a text book corporate statement…. No understanding no empathy simply NOT bothered. I’d never recommend this hell hole! Worst meal and evening I’ve ever had

I was brought here with a friend. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere is lovely. The staff are polite and engage in conversation at the bar. I have not tried the food yet, but I did look at the menu, it looks reasonably priced with lots of choice, I will be returning to try the food.

Me and my husband tried this restaurant and were very happy. We had tapas dishes and they were delicious. All seemed freshly cooked and piping hot and good portion sizes. The staff were friendly too

We went there for breakfast. Service was quick and friendly and the food was good!

It was lovely to try something different. My son saw that on a Monday after 5pm you get a free glass of wine or dessert. He returned that evening with his girlfriend. They both really enjoyed there meal. Also there dessert.

Really disappointing service today. Raised an issue re food which happened on previous visit as same thing happened today. Waitress/manager was very rude and dismissive of this. Did not come back and check if everything was alright later after food was changed, as is usual. We won't come back again. I suspect this will please this particular staff as all we got throughout our meal were stares and she made the whole meal really uncomfortable.

Fabulous place, moderately busy on a Wednesday evening for tea. The menu is outstanding, "pub" classics like burger and chips to exotic salads like the budda bowl. Which is a *must* for anyone who enjoys a bit of quinoa, roasted veg and whipped feta ❤️ They also do Tapas Tuesdays where you can get 3 tapas items and a glass of wine (or alternative non alcohol drink) for £14! Definitely trying that next time. I put 3 for the service as we weren't greeted at the door/shown to a table (have been before) and there was no table service. We didn't mind ordering through the app, it just seemed a bit odd that there was such little staff engagement. A tip for ND folk.... bring your Loops/Flares as it can get quite noisy 👍

We like the overall food, some suggestions. The vegetables in the bang noodles should be blanched and mushrooms must be cooked, I didn't think so, anyone who likes raw mushrooms. Drinks - juice we ordered was in kids carten size, I like drinks and juices served in glasses even though they were from Aldi.

Went here for food and drink, plenty to choose from in drink and food choices. Service was slow and wasn't overly busy, ordered steak which was under cooked from desired request. Seemed expensive for what we actually received.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Stumbled across it when looking for Gluten free and vegan food whilst on a trip away and the menu is very varied, the staff don’t make it feel like a problem to have dietary requirements, which is something I’ve found to be an issue in other places and cater to you wonderfully. The venue itself is really lovely, beautifully decorated and I was very impressed to see a caddy in the ladies room with sanitary products, body spray etc out for free. A small detail that is just lovely. 10/10 place that we will certainly visit anytime we are in the area

I'm not a huge fan of places that have the low light ambience during the day, but I know it's the thing these days, although I did almost have to use my phone torch in the toilets as it was so dark, must save loads on electric! Followed the sign rules that asked to wait to be seated. Waitress came to us asking if there were any allergy requirements to which we said no...she then walked off, chatting to customers at another table as she passed and then never directed us to our own table and went back to the bar (after saying to order at bar or use the app). Don't really understand why we had to wait to be seated when we weren't actually seated and it's not table service. Positives...Food was very tasty when it came and was quick. Staff friendly. My husband ordered the Philly Cheese Ciabata with beef brisket for £9.95. It was very flavoursome, but we were massively underwhelmed by.the fact that there was absolutely no salad garnish, tiny or otherwise or even a handful of cheap crisps...just the toasted Ciabata sandwich on a very small plate. Really wish I'd taken a photo to show how an almost £10 Ciabata Sandwich had been presented. It honesty looked so basic, which is probably why I didn't bother to take a picture. Food presentation and colour is an absolute must, part of a great dining experience is all about the look, smell and taste. A small colourful side salad hardly breaks the profit budget. To be fair, the menu doesn't state any side garnish. The choice of foods for people with intolerances was very varied though and therefore good for anyone who is coeliac etc. May try here again, but won't rush as my husbands light bite was not value for money in my opinion (and I work in a cafe myself)

Love this place always a relaxing place to eat or drink.

They keep changing the menu so every time I dine there, there isn't anything I know. Sticky toffee pudding was a bit disappointing - rather dry. Portions are much smaller than at the beginning and not particularly filling.

Popped in for lunch, staff friendly and welcoming. Didn't wait long for food to arrive but unfortunately my chicken was very dry and chewy. This is the only time that the meal let us down. So it hasn't put us off going again.

Love this place, makes me forget i am in Gainsborough. The food is 10 out of 10. It is so family friendly, my children love coming! Great for friends or a date night. I recommend this place everytime someone asks where to eat.

Quick bite to eat here on Sunday afternoon. Met with nice friendly attentive staff. Food and drink was ordered easily via the app, and was paid for on the app. Food was cooked nicely and well presented. Only small comment was that the food was observed on the serving hatch for about 2 minutes before being served, so wasn’t piping hot, but warm. Not enough to complain about and wasn’t cold. All food ordered (4 x tapas) and a bang bang cauliflower were well made, well cooked and enjoyable. Will definitely return again. Parking 50p for 2 hours. Great for dog lovers as well.

Dog friendly so that makes it more worthwhile from my point of view. Portion sizes not huge, but tasty food.

Awful experience today, nobody came to seat you, as per the sign, found our own table (not a hard thing to do, I know!) sat for 15 minutes trying to order on the app as usual, staff wondering past all the time, asked the next member of staff that we were having problems ordering on the app, only to be told the WiFi was down! Why didn’t they come across as we came in/sat down that they had an issue and we couldn’t order rather than seeing us trying to order!! Awful customer service!!

Dropped in for brunch and enjoyed one of the best Shakshuka I’ve ever had. Followed up with a refreshing Watermelon Ice Tea. Totally delicious. Well done to the kitchen, bar staff and front of house. Great job!

Used this chain of restaurants in Retford.Gainsbrogh so we found the one in Scarborough a little bit not up to Scratch with the other two i think it was the atmosphere.The food very good 👍 Service was great 😃.

Well what a difference in 6 months .called in yesterday for a breakfast .lady with a santa jumper at the bar served me i asked for a large veggie breakfast and a pot of tea .when it came it was a small one bit disappointing but couldn't be bothered to wait for another one .The toast must have only looked at the toaster it was so undercooked the egg looked like it had been sat on the plate warmer since yesterday morning. The tomato looked like it had been in a nuclear war .Usually a member of staff comes and asks if its ok nothing happened I think they was all messing about in the kitchen doing a social media stunt vert disappointing Caldero will not be returning.

Disabled customers note that you can not get through the door without help. It is very hard to open and keep open. Shame as plenty of room inside. Food is not to everyone's liking, maybe. Layout in Tiffany style but music not. Staff do not have uniform or name badges, so it is difficult to order or request something.

the atmosphere never fails to cheer people up in caldero lounge. i’ve been here many times before and the atmosphere, the staff and the food never fails to amaze me. The staff are always kind, attentive and welcoming. i had the pleasure of being served by Booth and Toll today and nothing was too much for them. My sister had ordered the wrong drink instead of an iced one and Booth was quick to make her a different one - which was really sweet and made her day. The fact that we can bring our dog, pip, just makes the experience more enjoyable - thank you for a lovely visit :)
