La Chooza Peri Peri in Tunbridge Wells

considering the distance the food travelled to get to me, it was very hot and the chicken was on point

The food had a veggie wrap missing and staff brought it into my room before medicine was offered (room 20) in Priory Group Limited hospital in Ticehurst.

chicken was so dry it sucked the moisture out of my mouth , had clearly been sat under a lamp all day ,fries were OK but portion was small , 1 item was missing because they messed up the menu and the cheesecake was biscof rather than salted caramel , I 2as hoping these guys might of sorted themselves out . they haven't.

I phoned up as they deliver to my area on just eat just confirm about the meals and the company turned round and said we would have to pay £50 minimum which does not say that on just eat and when I asked him about it he said we that that which my answer was you need to change this asap as he did care not very goodcustomer service

They went above and beyond, excellent service

They called about issues with the order, terrible English, hung up on me before I could understand. Called back and asked 10 times what the issue was before they hung up on me again. They answered questions i did not ask 10 times (ignored mine). Food

2nd aug 2024 guy manning the phone continuously lied about when the phone was going to arrive. food itself was rubbish over cooked chips and the chicken so dry I think it was reared in the desert!!! will never use them again......

Took forever to arrive when it did the driver called me 5 times and had no clue where he was going I had to go outside and find him my food was cold and my drink was wrong and ice cream melted

incredible staff very friendly and welcoming . Was on a late journey and they went out of their way to re open the shop and cook food for us despite being closed. Shukran !

Never turned up. Called at 10.45 was told a couple of min. Waited 11.10 got a notification stating it was delivered at 10.50. Nothing at all checked ring door bell and no one had come to the property. Tried to call the restaurant at 11.15 and they where shut. If could not honor a order why accept it

Chicken was incredibly dry & tough. It was cold, & the pieces were mostly all bone.

Great fried chicken and peri wrap is excellent. My order took a bit longer than expected and they hooked me up w some free wings :) so good

I normally love La Chooza steak meal and their wings however, today I was a lil dissapointed, there was quite a small amount of chips and I've asked for fresh cooked wings, this is the second time I received wings that weren't freshly cooked and small amount of chips, which is not worth how much the money came up too, sorry La chooza for giving a bad review but I hope you can improve from this review cos I genuinely love your food 🙂

Good food as always no problems with the product itself more the fact that I ordered large fries and received a small this has happened 3 times apart from that food has no problem itself

Overall the main part of the meal was nice, unfortunately the 16 fries I received with it wasn’t nearly enough and only receiving 6 mozzarella sticks instead of the 8 I paid for was also disappointing

I ordered 2 medium buckets, one of them was missing the 6 hot wings. I submitted a refund request but I couldn’t specify, I only want the refund for the wings.

First it was late The order had half a chicken missing and the Greek salad and the rest of the food is not edible at all th me humans is off out of date smelly curdled I have photo !!! Inside was a chicken tap I did not order , no spicy rice inside. I spend £35 £5 was delivery charge!! I could only eat the fries but even those were covered in salt so much ! So I want all my money back not a credit the food is Poor poor quality and wrong items and missing items and cold and late !!!! I will never order from this terrible restaurant ever even if u paid me. I want my money back in my bank account pls . I ordered food in good faith and did not get what I paid for and what I did get I trusted the quality because of u guys . So upset pls sort this

Hi there, my recent order arrived and it was completely unsatisfactory. Having waited extremely longer than usual the food arrived stone cold and therefore inedible as I have no means of re heating my food as am currently moving house. This is not how I expect to be treated as a loyal customer in a cost of living crisis who now have children giving them an earful as they can’t eat their dinner. This is utterly unacceptable and quite frankly I do not understand how you deem it acceptable for me to have to pay for the inefficiencies of your service. I spend a lot of money with just eat and I want this dealt with asap or I will be forced to take my business elsewhere. Thank you

I got my good but not what I ordered

Food was nice. Only issue was one of the burgers was incorrect. We ordered a beef burger and ended up with an extra chicken burger. Didn’t call up as it was getting late and we were hungry.

They said they had delivered but had not 30 minutes later it turned up the shop said it was on its way second call they rang the driver then it turned up 10 min late 30 mins late. The driver was rude and stated he had to say he delivered the food on time as it looks bad on him. I am not happy with this or the service I received.

Can never go wrong with their spicy wings (hot southern fried style chicken wings) fries were good too. Decent price

I don’t know where to start here. I thought after my last order that this place had finally learned, but after tonight’s farce I don’t think they ever will. The order info explicitly states they accept delivery orders until 10:45pm. I ordered at 10pm on the dot. I wait, wait, and wait. An hour and a half later, nothing. I message the driver, which the app stated was enroute, and got a response saying it was their cleaning time and they would deliver after. So firstly they take my money and accept the order, but decide I’m not good enough to be delivered to on time despite spending nearly £40. The driver finally arrived, and to his credit apologises, but the excuse given is that apparently I need to order before 9 o clock. Excuse me? Why did you accept the order then if you knowingly couldn’t fulfil it?!?!? The driver leaves, and I already feel things aren’t right from the bag. We ordered 2 burger meals, a chicken burger meal, onion rings, some sauces, and 3 desserts. What arrived was a sack of cold, sweaty chicken I didn’t order, a box of cold chicken wings I didn’t order, a box of cold lemon and herb wings I didn’t order, 2 portions of stone cold chips, and only 2 cans of drink. BARELY ANYTHING WE ACTUALLY ORDERED. I had to throw half of the food away as it was inedible and not what some of us like to eat, hence not ordering it. I had to microwave some of the remaining food that was salvageable and it was a disgusting mess. Honestly - I’m so offended that I am considering reporting them to trading standards or the council, as they could kill someone with this rubbish. Also, to advertise as open and take my money but then offer this abysmal level of service is beyond insulting. I’m here kicking myself for giving this place another try. Absolutely disgraceful.

Over two hours to be delivered and the bad food was cold. Absolute joke

Pleased with the food but appalled with the service. Some of my order was substituted as they didn’t have what I ordered, but instead of contacting me about this first they switched what I had ordered for something I would never had ordered. Even upon delivery nothing was said and unfortunately the driver had just gone by the time I noticed. Called the restaurant who seemed to think that switching two things that cost £11 for two things you don’t want was completely fine and no problem. Asked for my money back for that part of the order and was refused, but was told that next I ordered they would make sure that they got it right. Then offered to give me free food next time, when all I wanted was what I had ordered or my money back and refused either. Utterly appalling service and will never use them again and nor would I recommend them to anyone ever

Have ordered 6x chix strips, chips, BBQ & Mayo. I was late. Gentleman working today sort me out in 30 seconds with fresh tasty white chicken strips, delicious & chips. Thank you guys! Who likes clean meat and good potatoes will be coming back. Kr, J

Lovely tasting food worth waiting for

I can only give it 3 stars as I was very disappointed with the fish burger. I was expecting it to be a fish fillet but it was actually a fish cake, which I hate. I tried to eat it but it was very mushy and didn't taste of fish, just sickly potato and herbs. It should say on the menu that it isn't a real fish fillet. Other than that, everything else was good. Very y pleased with delivery and quality of other food items.

didnt know what to expect as it was new to our delivery area and the quality was really good as we live in the countryside i never expect things really hot so when it turned up was surprised it was quite warm.. as of writing this review the chicken alone was KFC quality same taste..

Do not use this restaurant. I placed an order on Sunday night and they got it completely wrong. Ordered a burger and corn on the cob and received neither when the delivery arrived. Spoke to the restaurant and they did not want to help. Point blank refused to do anything and refused to correct the order or send me the correct food. Absolutely shocking customer service experience and would strongly advise avoiding them at all costs. Very poor.

Absolutely degusting! I ordered food which I waited over an hour for. I rung the shop which told me the driver had delivered it to the wrong person and he had gone to pick it up to deliver to me. When he arrived said to him I hope my food hasn't been touched which he said it hadn't went indoors and half my food had been eaten then I had to kick of go make them give me a refund as the driver kept saying it weren't is fault even though he delivered my food to someone else then delivered me half eaten food! Do not use this disgusting place!

Ordered a kid's meal of one piece of chicken and an apple pie. Received no chicken but extra chips. The burger and another two pieces of chicken was very tasty.

Very poor undercooked food, had to phone the restaurant to complain.

Out of 6 bits of chicken there was 1 leg, the wet and floppy skin coating reminded me of a fat lass that's lost 400lbs Overall the meat was grey and flavourless , how a seasoned coating can actually make something taste worse i have no idea , I was almost happy the other 5 bits of chicken were the bits that are mostly ribcage with very little meat , it was absolutely swimming in grease and arrived in a transparent paper bag, i was reluctant to stand on my kitchen side , on the bright side the chilli cheese bites and the can of drink were nice .

KFC would not deliver so had to have a plan b, traffic was chaos but La Chooza delivered, a little late but under the circumstances it was fine, the food was excellent, still hot and to be honest I'm glad KFC would not deliver, will definatly order again, top class !!

First time trying and I must say very impressed with the food and the service. The jalapeno cheese bites are amazing!!! Give it a try.

Hash browns weren’t cooked and took over and hour and a half to get here. Disappointed

Ordered food at 6:30pm and it arrived at 8:10pm, with an ASAP delivery. The food was expected to come at 7:10-7:30pm at the latest and was still a further 40 mins. I rang the place and they said they would chase and come back to me. I didn't hear back, until the food literally arrived at the door. Considering it was a £38 min spend, with a £2 delivery, it was not what I had paid for. I won't be ordering again.

I've been ordering from La chooza for years now, even when it was a Dixie's and never had any problems with my food. It's always been absolutely delicious and great value for money, I highly recommend the mountain burger meal!

45mins late and the food was obviously cold. Called to find out where it was and driver said he’d be 5mins and turned up 25mins later. Won’t be using them again.

1 hour and 40 minutes the order took to arrive and when it did I was so disappointed. The kebab tasted of chemicals and was so acrid it was inedible. The hummus was very bland and runny and ended up straight in the bin. The Greek salad was fine but bland and almost no cheese. I would say though that the chicken was tasty....but £35 for an order that I waited nearly 2 hours for that went pretty much straight in the bin is incredibly disappointing.

I can't describe how disappointed we were with our order. I have never seen such dehydrated corn on the cob! The chicken was nice but the rice was clearly old as was in clumps rather than grains. I also ordered a side of mozzarella sticks which I was charged for but didn't appear, even after calling to say that I wasn't at all happy. I was told basically I was lying and that my mozzarella sticks would be delivered which didn't happen. Old rice, disgusting corn and charged for something I didn't get? Don't bother people unless you order just peri peri chicken...
