Had a lovely meal here, we ate at 6pm on a Friday evening and there were tables but it started to get very busy by 7pm so recommend booking. The staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. The food was top class, really tasty. Had a delicious halloumi salad too. Highly recommend.

Nos quedamos muy decepcionados con este restaurante. El interior se sentía cansado y un poco sucio. La comida se servía muy rápido y era pobre. Los falafels eran horribles. Las patatas bravas fueron muy decepcionantes. Probablemente precocinado y recalentado. La tortilla era de goma. Toda la experiencia fue una que no quisiera repetir. Muy decepcionante pero bastante caro. Nos molestó el cargo por el servicio, ya que el servicio era bastante apresurado y no la experiencia relajada a la que estamos acostumbrados en un restaurante de tapas.

Was there for lunch had the octopus and seasoned very good but they overcooked the octopus and it was hard very disappointing

On a warm day I sat outside and had sangria and Calamares. I'm 77 and use a scooter as am very disabled. I didn't block anyone's way.The food was nice- however after a bit I was asked to vacate the table! Is this usual or because of my motability scooter! I am annoyed.

Cozy tapas/mezze restaurant on Leith Walk. Service was fast and attentive. We went for dinner and the atmosphere was lovely. We shared several tapas/mezze dishes, the albondigas and spinach pie were our favourites. Other dishes like melitzanosalata and potato croquettes were different than usual. Will come back to try the mains.

Not usually a big tapas fan but really enjoyed our family day here. Very busy and good service.

Today's lunch was a delightful Italian treat. I started with a fresh, vibrant bruschetta — the tomatoes were juicy and full of flavour, perfectly balanced with basil and a hint of garlic. The mushroom risotto followed and was rich and comforting, with creamy rice and earthy mushrooms cooked just right. To finish, the tiramisu was light, creamy, and indulgent with just the right kick of coffee. A well-balanced meal that hit all the right notes!

We went there for a Saturday dinner. Didn’t Pre-book, but fortunately they were able to organise a table for two in short time for us. We ordered 4 tapas: mussel, meat ball, padron pepper, calamari. All cooked just right and piping hot. For main we both ordered lamb chops. They were delicious. We were very full so skipped dessert. As our table was near the bar/grill, we can see how busy they were, but every one was cheerful, with a smile.

Food over priced and not great! Had chicken dish, swimming in over salted garlic and cream sauce. No vegetables and a few saute potatoes for around £20! Felt rushed and entire experience left a lot to be desired. My friend had two starters in place of main, served separately so was eating on her own. Would not recommend

We love this place, the staff are very friendly, the selection of tapas is very good, the size of each dish is very good, especialy when sharing, and the quality of the food is also very good. We were in for a late lunch and shared 6 dishes between the 2 of us. We didn't stick to a theme, we mixed and matched but found all the dishes went together. We had 1 fish to vegie and 3 meat and it was superb. We had a lovely chat with the staff as it was quiet by the time we finished, and to be honest, they don't come much friendlier. Definately recomend it.

Great dinner. We didn’t have a reservation but the manager was very proactive in trying to accommodate us. Thank you. And we ordered 6 dishes and we politely told one of the service staff that we liked everything but that one dish. When the bill came, the manager said they took off that dish that we didn’t like. We had a lovely meal here. Each of the four tapas we had (felafel, gambas, patatas bravas and halloumi cheese) was delicious, and the ambience was perfect.

Great restaurant with good food and excellent service

I had the pleasure of being served by Eri during my visit to LASA CASA, and he truly made my dining experience exceptional. I was unsure about what to order, but Eri recommended the Linguine Gamberoni, and it was absolutely perfect—now one of my favorite dishes! His friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and excellent suggestion really stood out. Thank you, Eri, for such a memorable meal. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others!

My girlfriend took me here for Valentine’s Day. We had such a lovely time, everyone there seemed lovely and having the same night. Our waiter was wonderful and made the experience so easy and nice. The food was incredible. I couldn’t stop eating even when I got full because it all tasted so so good. Also the house wine was really tasty with it all.

Best mixed grill in town! Loved the Spanish twist of having grilled chorizo next to Greek loukanikon. You could tell both the veggies and the meats were very fresh. Fries tasted like they’re homemade.

Service was quick and friendly. We were seated straight away with no booking. Food was good. A Tuesday lunch time was quiet but still a pleasant atmosphere.

Very good portions, we got 4 tapas between two people and it was more than enough. The member of staff responsible for taking our payment pulled a judgy face (raised her eyebrows) when we decided not to pay the optional service charge which left us with quite a bitter taste. Would probably go back if that wasn't to happen again, the entire purpose of an optional service charge is that it's optional.

Fabulous service. Struggled to get a restaurant and they were so accommodating and looked after us, even ordering a taxi. Food absolutely delicious and fresh. If you get a chance, go. You won't be disappointed.

I regret to say that my recent visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing, a far cry from the standard I have come to expect as a former regular. To begin with, the chicken we ordered had a strange odour and seemed undercooked at times, which was off-putting. When we were seated, we were given the Christmas menu, but when it came time to place our order, we were informed that both diners at the table had to order from the same menu – either both from the Christmas menu or both from the regular one. This policy was never communicated to us beforehand, and frankly, it felt unnecessary and poorly handled. The hygiene practices were also questionable. We noticed kitchen staff eating while wearing their work gloves, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety standards. To make matters worse, shortly after we had paid – and less than 1 hour and 30 minutes into our reservation – we were asked to leave because there were other customers waiting. This was done abruptly and without any courtesy, leaving us feeling rushed and unwelcome. Again, no one had informed us of a seating duration for the reservation, making the entire experience feel like a “cash-and-grab” situation. The staff’s communication and etiquette left much to be desired. Their rude behaviour and lack of basic customer service skills added to an already disappointing experience. Overall, I would rate this visit a 2/5. What was once one of my favourite restaurants has sadly fallen well below expectations. It’s disheartening to see such a decline, and I sincerely hope the management takes steps to address these issues.

Gem of a restaurant on Leith Walk, lots of choices giving a mix of Greek and Spanish tapas dishes. Tapas sizes are good and a number of vegan options (loads of veggie options). No vegan puddings but we were there for savoury not sweet so not a problem. Great vibe and staff were very friendly and attentive! Will definitely be back!

Llegamos sin reserva y estaba muy ocupado. ¡Nos recibieron con un abrazo y un vaso de proseseco de cortesía! No esperamos más de 15 minutos antes de que una mesa estuviera disponible. Las opciones de tapas/mezze eran amplias. Elegimos 3 cada uno y las porciones eran muy generosas. La comida era excelente, el entorno y el servicio excelente. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita.

Really friendly staff, great service and amazing food. We had the tapas and had 4 dishes each which was more than enough. Each dish was cooked to perfection. We sat at the bar as they were fully booked but they were so apologetic even though we hasn't booked but we loved it

Lovely atmosphere, staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend the bruschetta which was delicious, and also the chorizo with lentils which were rich and flavoursome without being overly oily.

Fusion Mediterranean food with a bang. Great tapas/meze combo. The sort of place that long lunches on rainy afternoons were invented for (but I’m sure you could be in and out quickly if necessary!) The sharing menus are particularly recommended.

Went today for lunch as after perusing the outside menu fancied what was on offer and the prices were reasonable compared to most, no lunch menu, I always find this a little disappointing these days in restaurants but understand the times. So from the À la carte menu it was the chicken mains which we both had, one tomato based the other white wine and mushroom, I can say the portions are very generous. I was delighted with the food, exceeded my expectations, the wine choice was fine, the dessert, Tiramisu probably one of the best I have ever had. Will return for sure.

Lovely restaurant, lovely staff and nice food. But that’s it, it’s nice, not great. Tortilla didn’t seem fresh nor the calamari. Highlights were the bread and the Greek dips. Had high hopes! Note: the portion sizes are not tapas size, they’re huge. This is not a criticism but easy to order way too much!

While the food was freshly made, it had been reheated. My Feta and Spinach pie wrapped in filo pastry was poor. It had not come from a conventional oven because the pastry was soft and chewy. Disappointing.

Best tapas we've discovered in Edinburgh. The staff is very nice. You can either get a fixed menu or choose your own tapas which we did. We had three tapas each which was almost too much. Next time we would only get five tapas for us two. We definitely recommend, especially the sea food. 👍

We love to visit La Casa anytime we fancy light bites or a bigger tapas dinner in Leith. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and the wine selection pairs really nicely with their menu. Their specials are always good to check out, and in warmer weather the frozen cocktails are a delight. Highly recommend!

Very overpriced for what we received. The food was ok but nothing special –undercooked calamari and vegetables and the saganaki was below par compared to other Greek restaurants we’ve been to. In fairness, the falafel and spanakopita were decent and the service was quick. But we left feeling disappointed as our meal came to nearly £100 for two of us. We’ve eaten far more impressive food for less!

Were there twice. First time inside for dinner. Nice atmosphere with very tasty food and fast service. The second time outside. Rather less nice, as suppliers on bicycles kept chatting in front of us on the main street. Tiramisu was ok. Price performance rather expensive. Reservation is an advantage.

Ieri sera siamo stati qua a cena…..e non siamo rimasti soddisfatti …..abbiamo ordinato due tapas per iniziare e capire se aveva senso prendere altro . ordiniamo due birre alla spina pale Ale ma era finita avevano solo birra Moretti alla spina venendo dall’Italia abbiamo evitato di prenderla 6 sterle per una birra da discount anche no per parlare del vino che è meglio berlo altrove. Ci portano Humus e Tzaziki il secondo non sapeva di cetriolo crediamo sia per tutti ma si sono sbagliati come per la birra non era per noi….era per altro tavolo . Arriva polipo murato di limone e rosmarino con patate bruciate fuori e crude dentro….bisogna dirlo che c’è limone a me non piace…..

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and great staff. Melitzanosalata is heaven on a plate. We also shared Horaitiki, Lentejas con Chorizo and Patatas bravas which was a great combination of tastes and textures. The house red was super too.

Perfect place to go if you want to have a lot of little plates to share with a friend or SO. We got the fries, chicken, lentil soup and meatballs between 2 people. Very filling and delicious, I got a mocktail that tasted great! Service was nice and the atmosphere was very warm.

A little underwhelmed after reading reviews. Food was just Ok. We ordered a mixture of dishes and they were promptly served. Had better, had worse. Service was hit and miss. Ordered more drinks but they never arrived. Waiter admitted he had forgotten when we enquired where they were. Unfortunately we had eaten most of our food without drinks. Upon finishing were were not offered desserts or more drinks. Eventually caught waiters attention and got the bill. Wont return.

Booked here as thought was close to playhouse but further down Leith Walk than I thought. Food was excellent and served very quickly. Had a few tapas dishes which were all very tasty. Best tiramisu I've had. Wee bit noisy as quite open but definitely will return.

Nice restaurant where we had delicious tapas. They also served an excellent red house wine. We made a reservation the day before because it is a fairly busy restaurant.

I thought I'd do Leith Walk (downhill) and pop into one of the many cafes. I passed quite a few before this one tempted me in with it's coffee aroma and display of desserts. After a friendly welcome I found myself at an outdoor table in the sunshine, perfect. Water arrived straight away, and my Americano and Tiramisu shortly after. What a glorious way to people-watch without people knowing you're people-watching. I popped inside to pay and the atmosphere was delightful.

Unfortunately a disappointing experience: we chose the chef's tapas proposal and in fact the quantities were abundant and tasty, but I recommend choosing separately from the menu because the choice is certainly better; but together we also requested a catch, fish dish, which in addition to arriving much later, we were disappointed by the unpleasant smell of not fresh fish. We had to have it taken away: I'm clear that we are not fussy people and we adapt, but risking our health... no thanks. Too bad, because it could have been a good dinner. To conclude, we also had difficulty paying, with the credit card we had to make the payment like an online purchase, entering the number and security code.....🤔 We were not pleased. The only positive note is the kind and helpful waiters, the stars go to them.

I was a little bit underwhelmed by food. Prawns were very salty, and chips weren't crispy. Also, service was quite slow and not very attentive. We had to "catch" the waiters attention to order more drinks and to get our table cleaned. I'm not sure if I would go back...

Voluntary attempt at Spanish food, for being in Edinburgh it is good... It is appreciated.... Plus I was staying in front of the apartment...!! Perfect 2 dinners out of 5 on the house

Great evening at La Casa. They were very patient and helpful to us, choosing wine and making sure we were ok with everything. Because we kept talking and talking, our food got cold, so we politely explained and asked if the food could be warmed up and Staverlous (it began with an "S" we apologise if it's wrong...Staverlous) SAVED THE DAY! We couldn't eat it all in the end, so he packaged it up for us. We were there until close and felt bad, but they never felt to rush us. Very kind, professional staff.
