La Casa has long been a favourite of ours - never disappoints. Generous size tapas/mezze, with options for vegetarians, vegan etc. I’m gluten and dairy intolerant and have no problem selecting. Lovely decor, professional staff, great cocktails, nice atmosphere.

Lovely service, great big fresh mussels and lovely cod in lemon sauce. always ask for lunch menu if it is within the time scale

Do not visit solo on a Saturday afternoon. I arrived approx 14.45 but they would not admit me even although I could see a vacant table of two.

Really nice mezze, mixture of Spanish and greek dishes

Pretty decent. Garlic prawns and fluffy grilled pitta bread triangles amongst the highlights. Mussels good too. A simple but well put-together wine list, vibrant dining area and friendly staff complete the picture.

Brilliant. Thoroughly recommend this place. Especially the albondigas.

Fresh food, well cooked. Range of dishes. Halloumi, cheese croquettes & meatballs good. Falafel is incredible! Service was warm and friendly - fractionally more attentive/speed for 5⭐ but was a busy Saturday night when we went and we the food and drink arrived in good time. Free limoncello at the end great place would recommend and hopefully will be back soon.

Albondigas (meetballs) awful fell apart just like eating mince in a bland tomato sauce, Halloumi rubber no olive oil, patatas bravas NOT boiled potatoes, croquettas de serrano, should have a competition to find any serrano in these, gambas pil pil only passable thing we ordered that was anyway Spanish tasting, just 4 small prawns overpriced.

A bit on the higher end of the pricing, but good food, lively atmosphere and just overall the cafe passes the vibe check. This was great to have a dinner with friends who are not very adventurous foodies as the cafe mostly serves tasty classics. Would eat here again!

You must to visit this place lovely tapas menu. Octopus, ham croquettes, beans soup and prawns were delicious!

We were at la casa leith on Christmas eve and it was so nice, warm and welcoming with seats next to the window and the radiator!! The staff are brilliant and so is the food. Served very efficiently, it really was a nice time. Thank you

The hummus and pasta with shrimp were really good. The food came quite quickly, and the service was decent. I would visit again for the lentil soup.

The ambiance of this restaurant was really nice. The food was very tasty. The waitress was very nice with us and he was waiting until we were everyone in the restaurant before he could give us the main dishes. The only thing I don't really like is the Braves Potatoes. I'm Catalan and the braves potatoes don't use a tomato sauce, reather it uses the all-i-oli or brava sauce.

Delicious food. I found the portions rather large. So next time I go I will order 2 dishes not 3.

Love this restaurant,service was super friendly specially the spanish waitress with glasses(forgot to ask her name) and efficient.Portion bigger as a normal tapas,we ordered a bit too much .But all the tapas look like so appetizing,difficult to make a selection.Food fantastic,5 stars nothing to say negative.Will be back.

I went there yesterday and I have to say the food is way better than cafe Andalus at George Street. The service was impeccable and the two waitresses were so nice and kind. This kind of service and feeling of warmth would make you go back again. Just lovely.

All of the tapas and salads we had were excellent. The two paella dishes were also very good, fresh seafood, prawns, mussels... as too were the desserts. Best tapas we have had in recent memory.

We were pleasantly surprised after eating here after walking by. Food was excellent. Service was great. We were slightly rushed, but that was only because they had existing reservations. Would definitely recommend.

I have been a fan of La Casa(one at Fountain Park) for 2 years, and it is my first time noticing a La Casa at Leith. It should be a pleasure night since I have my favourite restaurant on a Saturday Night but it turns out that I am troubled and disappointed about tonight's experience. The decorations of this La Casa is exactly the same as the one at Fountain Park and it is always quite cosy and comfortable when dining in. There is nothing to complain about the setup or decorations. The food is terrible at this restaurant and it is probably the only time that we left almost the whole main course on the table and left. When the food is served, my first impression is that the food is generally smaller compared to the food at La Casa Dalry. The octopus that we ordered is burnt and tastes quite weird. Since I have been to the La Casa many times at Fountain Park, I know exactly the tastes. The Octopus is really burnt and there is no other taste than the burnt flavour in my mouth. The spaghetti with the king prawn is always my favourite main course and I order it every time I go to La Casa. So I chose it again this time when I was at the La Casa- Leith. The food is salty and my girlfriend was laughing and said "Has the chef forgotten to wash the pot?" I don't want to be rude but La Casa is really one of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh so I spoke to the waitress tonight and it was my first time to directly stress the issue of food. I can't really remember how many times I mentioned the La Casa to my friends. The waitress indeed apologised and said she would speak to the chef. However, I didn't hear any word back from either the waitress or the chef. Since my main course of mine is too salty while my girlfriend's is full of weird herbal tastes, we asked for the bills soon after discussing the food issues with the other waitress. From the very beginning to the very end, there were no people to explain what was wrong with the food and I only heard a small "sorry" from the poor waitress's mouth when we left. I hate Karen's behaviour but it really gives me a feeling that the restaurant is arrogant and doesn't really care about the two random customers. My sincere apologies for mentioning La Casa Dalry many times and comparing the two La Casa. I am not really sure if people will read my reviews but there is a lovely story happening at La Casa Dalry that impressed me and made me a fan of La Casa since that time. I was having some tapas at that time and then the main course(the spaghetti with king prawn that I mentioned above) was served. Since I was still eating tapas, so I left the main course aside. The waiter noticed that and spoke to the chef. The chef came out from the kitchen and came to my table to place the main course at the very centre of the table. The chef even asked me if there was anything wrong with the main course that made me put it aside and only ate the tapas. I indeed felt that the whole restaurant respects every single customer and that is why I am a fan of La Casa. I valued a lot of the food at La Casa and the interaction with either the waitress or the chef. My apologies for saying so much but I am really disappointed about tonight's experience at La Casa Leith. It would really be nice if any of my voice could be heard by any chance. This is a nice spot. Quick service, friendly staff. Very clean environment, spacious. I found the chorizo far too salty, the falafels too tough, and the octopus was overcooked and chewy. The ham & cheese croquettes however were great, as were the pork & beef meatballs with tomato sauce. The tzatziki was also very nice. Overall, not a bad experience but there are better tapas options available around central Edinburgh (in my opinion) within the same price bracket.

Reasonable Mediterranean cuisine.

Delicious food with great presentation and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Best Pita I’ve had. Excellent Prawn Gambas. Other favourites were the patatas bravas, Baba ghanoush and calamari. Service was very fast.

We had a girls day out and popped here for lunch and it set the tone for a fantastic day. We opted for the tapas style menu. We shared lots of beautiful dishes such as ham croquettes, mussels, gambas pil pil, calamari, bruschetta and more. Every dish was filled with flavours and the portions are generous and well priced. The atmosphere and staff are excellent, you can tell the staff genuinely care about what they do. We will definitely be back soon.

We had the bruschetta, saganaki (AMAZING), albondigas, pulpo, and pepper dishes which were all excellent. We loved the atmosphere. Well worth the money and some of the best tapas I'd had in a long time.

Nice place with friendly staff. Food …. some dishes are ok, but some are not acceptable. Menu very hard to read, no children options. If you compare to average chip shop the food is better but at this price point you should expect something far better.

The food was bland and the tapas not the best but the service was nice and the interior design was lovely.

Everything was outstanding! We enjoyed it so much last night, that we had to return again tonight, and we were equally impressed. Possibly the best Sangria (pitcher fulls), tzatziki, and tiramisu I’ve ever tasted. The main dishes were fantastic. The service was wonderful both nights from every staff member that helped us. The ambience and atmosphere were absolutely lovely, including a live band last night. Good value for meals. Not a single bad thing to say! If I could pack this whole place up and bring it home with me, I would!

Great food, excellent service and the Greek wine was much classier than a standard rioja.

I took my dad for a birthday lunch and he loved it! Pulpo, Calamari and the Lamb Chops 5/5!!

Food and staff were excellent. However, the tip already added onto the bill is quite rude, meant to be optional. Also for other customers, when I enquired who the tip goes to. The staff don't even get all the tip, the owner takes 20%. If the owner is reading this, that reflects very poorly

We went to different restaurants of this company, the food was delicious everywhere, but the service was simply terrible. After waiting 20 minutes for a glass of wine, we asked the waiter where the wine was. He grimaced, covered his mouth with both hands and screamed something. Obviously this meant that he had forgotten about the wine. But this does not mean that you need to organize a circus. Also, when we left, I put on my jacket, my phone and bag were on the table. The waiter came up and started spraying spray on the table and on my things too. It seems to me that you can wait until the guests leave and not try to drive them out in any way. Otherwise they were simply impolite. And the octopus was too tough

Very nice place, pleasant staff. Tapas and main meals to choose from. We had a plentiful array of tapas and a couple of meals within the group. Everything was great, particularly liked the manchego chicken. The desserts from that days’ specials were also fantastic.

Lovely resturant great atmosphere. Food was fab staff very friendly and the service excellent. Good selection of dishes and alcholic drinks.

It seems that they don't cook from scratch. I'd bet that their croquetas come from the Lidl nearby (in Spain croquetas are made of thick bechamel, not of mashed potato: big mistake). We also tried a poorly overcooked chorizo in a swim-pool of oil

Visited this location a couple weeks ago to celebrate my birthday with my partner and was not disappointed. La Casa is one of my all time favourite restaurants and the Leith Walk branch definitely did not disappoint (the Dalry one left me with high expectations!). Staff were friendly and incredibly efficient without it feeling rushed. Even when we accidentally smashed a glass they were there in a second cleaning it up and checking we were okay, even drying off the umbrella we brought that some water spilled on! Food was out so quickly and was all so tasty and good. Atmosphere is so bright, welcoming and lovely. Would recommend to anyone who lives in, or is visiting Edinburgh. It’s me and my friends go-to place, and slowly but surely I’m making sure to take everyone else in my life too!

Food wasn't great although some dishes were nice. The tortilla had too much olive oil on it & the patatas bravas were hard & tasteless.

This is really so nice, visited on Friday and the food, ambience and staff are all brilliant. Also helps with the Tram stopping right outside the door! 😁

We had a couple of tapas- Albondigas, Octupus and Patatas bravas. The food was absolutely delicious but the quantity was a bit less for the price. The ambience is lovely for a date night and the staff are sweet.

Had lunch party 3 persons. Nice Variety of greed small plates. Can get costly by ordering small plates. Good value for daily main specials. Enjoyed the lunch but a bit more than I expected. We did order wine. I will return.

Had an amazing meal here. Can’t rave about it enough - delicious food, great service and a vibrant atmosphere. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, but please book ahead as we were lucky and got the last table for 2 on a Wednesday - and I’m so glad we did!

Fajne miejsce, super atmosfera, wspaniała obsługa . Smaczne jedzenie, zapomniałam zrobić zdjęcie dan obiadowych które zostały zjedzone zanim zorientowałam się, ze nie mam zdjęć! Hahaha, było tak apetyczne, ze nikt z nas nie myślał o fotografowaniu.Tak wiec skończyło się na deserku, tiramissu.Zjadłam pyszny obiad wegański, makaron z grzybami, suszone pomidory, świetnie przyprawione, parmezan. Polecam. Oczywiście owocowe piwko cydr!

We had a lovely evening at La Casa sharing lots of different options between a large group. Great sized portions to try a little of everything. Food is plated beautifully and tasted delicious. Staff were very helpful recommending their favourite dishes and ensuring we were well taken care of!

If you have a mixed vegetarian/vegan/carnivore dinner then this is perfect. I love the wines and the atmosphere and the food here. The albondigas, the padron peppers and the cheese thing covered in honey (name escapes me) are definite must gets every time I go

Beautiful room with excellent windows and features. The staff were super friendly and the service was really quick. They have a great selection of Spanish and Greek tapas/small plates which actually really complement each other well. And all of it was delicious. Especially the fried cheese dishes. And also the tortilla, which i always use as a good benchmark of tapas. Loads of veggie options.

Avoid this place at all cost. You get spoiled with the most amazing food wine and atmosphere. An absolute joy but I had no room for any food for three days after. A real diamond of a place 🌟

Just a stop along my walk. Well it ended up with a glass of wine, quinoa salad which was yummy! And ended with seafood risotto. Yes yes yes!

I often overlook La Casa but whenever I go back, I’m reminded about how lovely the place is! There’s seating outside and inside with a fantastic range of options on the menu. In the past I’ve selected items individually but the last time I went, a friend and I ordered the vegetarian shared tapas set menu. For the two of us, it was around £20 per person, offering a hearty variety of options with generous portions. The selection included a basket of bread, tzatziki, houmous, tortilla, cheese croquettes and bruschetta. We were stuffed and there were even leftovers to bring with us. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, the staff are great and I would highly recommend!

Food is fine, more expensive than it should be. I don't like the service charge being added. Although optional, I don't think it should be there.

We came here for dinner. The restaurant is bright and allows for lots of natural light which gives it a great atmosphere. The service is blisteringly quick, from ordering to getting our first tapas took less than 5 minutes. And it just kept coming from there. All of the food was delicious(and hot). I have heard a lot of good things about La Casa, and I can now also heartily recommend it.

Excellent value & quality set lunch served in a very pleasant restaurant with great service. 2 Course £13.95, 3 Course £15.95. The mussels I had for a starter and tiramisu with blueberries for dessert were fabulous. The chicken oregano I had for the main course was very good but it came with a salad. This was a very fresh salad but in my opinion, salad doesn't go well with hot saucy food. If the chicken dish had come with vegetables, pasta or rice it would've been just awesome. This is a minor gripe of mine but overall La Casa is exemplary. I'll have to go back and try their tapas and other dishes some time.

Wenn wir hier wohnen würden, würde ich vermutlich sehr oft hier essen. Das Essen war super frisch und extrem lecker. Keine Mängel zu finden. Der Kellner war super freundlich, das Essen kam sehr schnell und war toll angerichtet.

What a joy to dine here. The staff are attentive (dispute the busyness) and helpful, the menu sits in the perfect spot between options and streamlined, and the food is incredible - we had six tapas dishes and each was outstanding. Honestly La Casa is nearly worth a visit to Edinburgh on its own.

In the exciting discovery of the wonderful places to visit on Leith Walk (in the month or so of the tram extension), this place is an absolute standout. Situated about 30 seconds from the Balfour St stop, this is possibly the most delightful restaurant you could choose, not just for the food, which is excellent, but especially for the oustandingly friendly, welcoming and accommodating serving staff. If the weather is fine, you can sit outside and approximate the experience of a Mediterranean bar; extremely good food and wine with fantastic ambience. I went for a quick lunch, a friend passed by and we stayed three hours. I don't remember a more pleasant cafe experience in Edinburgh in years and I wish this wonderful cafe/bar restaurant all my best. The staff are simply wonderful.

Visited without a booking, they squeezed us in on the understanding they'd need the table back within the hour but never made us feel rushed. Food was quick, fresh and tasty. Definitely visiting again.

Had meze/tapas - six dishes for two persons (the menu recommends 3-4 dishes per person). The food was very good and the greek red wine too. Six dishes were however too much for us. Would like to come back another time.

Sadly a disappointment. All the food we had seemed reheated, possibly from frozen. Not fresh at all. The calamari was awful. I won’t be returning.

My favorite spanish/Greek restaurant, the food is perfection and everything else is just complimenting it! We had veggie boards and loved the wine pairing and the special cocktails. Special thanks to Stelios for taking great care of us 🤍

Went for my mother in laws birthday and the food was lovely. We picked 3-4 dishes each and it was plenty of food! Have recommended this place to friends. FYI on Google maps it says that it is temporarily closed but it is open.

Very impressed. Lovely food with a cross Mediterranean menu. The only negative was that the tables were close, so I felt I was sharing my dinner with a big family next to me.

Not great, thought the service lacked a fair deal, the tapas were mediocre, certainly not the best Spanish food to be had in Scotland, it was busy so maybe just bad timing but we certainly won’t be rushing back

The food was great but the fact that they add a service charge is annoying. Tips should be optional and we should do more to stop the service charge nonsense that seems to be expanding more and more. On top of that, we had to ask for our order to be taken, and the staff was not particularly friendly so that makes the service charge even more annoying.

Seated right away, nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. Food came within 10 minutes and tasted delicious. We enjoyed everything and left happy, full and satisfied. Would definitely go back. We got the Greek salad, soup of the day, and patatas bravas. All delicious, no complaints. Good gluten free options.
