The best Turkish restaurant in town ! The good was brilliant, it arrived quickly and wasn’t too expensive. Lots of choice on the menu and they were happy to cater for fussy eaters who wanted changes. The staff were super attentive with a friendly welcome and then they went out of their way to make sure the meal and drinks were to our liking. Nice atmosphere with comfy seating and large tables to spread all your dishes out on (we chose pretty much everything !). The restaurant also a large window looking into the kitchen so you can see the food being prepared if you want!

Lovely restaurant. The service was good, nice atmosphere. Very busy for an early week evening (would book if you want to go). Food was great. Price good for what it was.

We had the most delicious dinner here and can't wait to come back! Ali and the team took great care of us and were so hospitable and welcoming. This place is a must for great food in Edinburgh!

Lovely food and a hidden gem in the Leith area of Edinburgh. The restaurant has a great authentic and family run atmosphere. Will definitely return when next in Edinburg

Popped in at 8pm on a Monday. Not too full nor too empty. The front of house chap was a little calm at first but soon turned out to be a thoroughly enthusiastic and warm guy. The decor is clean and, well, Turkish and the kitchen is viewable through a huge glass window - all the scrutiny but no fumes/smells. I've eaten Turkish food in many restaurants- this was the best. Faultless. Three Starters - Halloumi, Mushrooms and Hummus, all with Turkish bread and all superb. Two Mains, lamb chops and a chicken dish with a sauce of yoghurt, herbs and aubergine. Both were ample and very tasty. Add in an Efes Draft, 3 large glasses of wine and 2 Turkish coffees and the bill was a few quid south of £90. All in all, a great choice and one for a revisit without hesitation.

Amazingly tasty food and so friendly and lovely. We had a great time and will certainly be back. Friendly family feel and food to die for.

Dropped in on a Saturday night with no booking - no problem, staff very welcoming. Sitting at the front of the restaurant you can watch the food being prepared in the kitchen. The food is really delicious. As this was our first visit they kindly didn't charge for the Turkish delight we had as dessert. All in all there was not a thing to complain about.

Pleasant middle eastern food. Rather meagre portions, however., only 3 prawns in serve and not enough bread for dips. Cosy and comfy atmosphere. Busy and lively.

Was at Kezban for a birthday celebration. There was 13 of us and we'd booked the area at the back of the restaurant. Fantastic, authentic, fresh turkish food. Those who had not tried turkish food loved it. Adana kebab is my absolute favourite and it was beautiful as always. Ali looked after us fantastically well. Always on hand and nothing was too much bother for him. The meal was finished off with complimentary Turkish tea and some kurdish dancing! Thank you so much for making everything so special. We'll definitely be back!!

Very good food, friendly staff

Amazing place . We were recommended it by one of the staff at the Lind and Lime distillery in Coburg St so we decided to try it out. It's a lovely friendly place, staff were so helpful and pleasant, made lots of recommendations about the dishes and nothing disappointed. Food was fantastic, service was great and very reasonable prices with good value house wine . Will definitely be back !

We were in town on vacation and came upon this little gem of a restaurant and thank goodness we did. It was the best meal we had while in town. Atmosphere is great and the food even better. Don’t miss out on this Turkish dining experience in the heart of Leith.

Food was average, not anywhere as good as some of the other Turkish restaurants in Edinburgh. The main problem was the manager on this Monday night who seemed to have an attitude problem the moment we walked in, gave absolutely terrible service and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. There was a young waiter who said it was his first day and he tried his best in all fairness, but will never go back because of the managers behaviour. Ps charging customers extra for sauces is hilarious, spend your money elsewhere.

Pleasing staff and amazing food. Great service overall

Delicious flavorful halal Turkish food. We ordered the special feast for two. Ample food was given it seemed the amount of food could have fed more than two people. All the courses came out back to back so there wasn’t enough time to enjoy each course on its own. The warm Turkish bread with hummus and two other condiments were delicious but it would have been nice if waiter would have explained what each item was. We had to call the waiter back to explain. I guess the assumption was we already knew the cuisine. Meat was tasty but dry. Overall it was a satisfying experience. I would recommend this restaurant.

Generous portions, full of flavour in a friendly and fun setting.

Had the banquet for two, just turned up no booking, shown to table near the glass viewing area into the kitchen. Drinks served and orders taken, the host was most welcoming and could not do enough for you. The food was one of the best meals and experiences had for a long time. The staff are all good and accommodating without being over bearing. A jewel hidden away in leith, now the trams run down here. Get down and find this hidden little treasure for yourself, the decor and atmosphere make it as well. Will be back

Authentic, no fuzz, Turkish food. The staff is very nice, very friendly, very funny. Their goal is that every client feels like at home. Thank you for a very laid-back evening. We will definitely be back.

Friendly and open late,with good portion sizes

This is my wife's favourite Turkish restaurant in Edinburgh, a gem in Leith. We have been here multiple times over the years, and it never disappoints. Really cozy, great ambience and decor, open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared through the glass, and the food quality is just superb. Melt in your mouth chicken/lamb etc, and just great authentic Turkish flavours. We have always felt welcome here, and the service is also very friendly. Highly recommended.

This place does not disappoint! We ordered the special banquet, what came out was a mountain of food, with a selection of cold meze that had been skillfully prepared, hot fresh bread, a platter of hot meze (the halloumi was grilled to perfection!) And a meat and rice board that we had no hope of ever finishing! The chicken was so soft it melted in our mouths. I could go in and in about everything we are, but here's the crux: the place is not expensive, the staff are attentive and friendly, it is clean and you can even see the food being prepared, and it's competing with the Michelin Starred number a few doors down! Definitely worth a visit.

Recommended by a local hotel, this family owned restaurant is perfect with their fresh mix of meat and veg dishes. Perfectly seasoned portions and a lively atmosphere. Very welcoming. With the new tramline only a short walk, and a buzzing vibe along the waterfront, this restaurant which apparently have rooms available makes this a great find.

My wife and I were recommended to come to Kezban and it lived up to the recommendation! The food is exceptional and was cooked to perfection. They had a wide variety of Mediterranean options and pricing was very reasonable. The service was great, professional and provided a family feel all at the same time. 100%, we would pass on the same recommendation to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Soo sorry to say this. The food was good but not happy with the service. We were few in numbers who visited the restaurant. It was clearly evident to us that the staff was not happy because we didn't order something like a 'feast'. No matter for how much amount a customer/consumer orders food, all should be treated equally. Or else mention that in front of the place so that people who are not into trying out or eating lesser amount will just skip the place. Not to indirectly insist them to order bigger portions or whatsoever. We felt bad. We've never tried Turkish coffee and heard a lot about it. Planned to try it at somewhere else but couldn't make it. So during the last day of our trip all of us went to the nearest place where we could get it. It was the only reason why we went there and regretted it. We ordered other items even though we didn't want to. I'm a foodie and for me hospitality is one of the reasons why I visit certain spots frequently.

Good option for a meal in Edi. Generally I do not have any regrets going here for a dinner with friends. Service very proper. Food was ok. Had some better and worse experience with Turkish / Mediterranean restaurants.

Borderline abusive service. When our waiter came to take our order after making us wait 25 minutes, he rolled his eyes and stood there waiting without saying a word. Food ended up being pretty good, but we've never been treated so badly at any restaurant.

The welcome from the staff was warm and genuine. We visited on a Saturday with no booking, very luckily they had a spare table for us. The food was amazing! We had a chicken dish and some hot mezze, the liver dish was sublime, and the halloumi was just perfect. Everyone was so friendly and I wish we lived closer to come all the time!

It was good but as a veggie it was expensive compared to the fish dish,I really enjoyed it but I left with a feeling of not value for money. The food was 5 star so the review got to reflect that.

yesterday we went there and bymistake we puted cup on there menu the lady who was there behave very bad she said bad thing to us she was so rude her menu book is more important than customer the things we orderd wasn't good waste of time and money we felt so bad because the lady insulted us we will never go there again so rude

Arrived in Leith, got out of the car at our apartment and went ‘what is that lovely food smell’. Followed our noses and came to this fab establishment Three different dishes. All enjoyed. Great welcome. Busy place and lots of takeaways going out Yum!

What a lovely experience. From the warm welcome to the utterly delicious grilled meals, this is a gem of a place in Leith. Go for a nice walk around the neighborhood and then head straight to Kezban. Highly recommended.

Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of family members living in Leith. Must say it was an excellent choice. From the minute you walk-in the staff are very welcoming. There was 7 of us who ordered a variety of dishes, everyone was extremely please with the flavour and value of their dishes. That being said we made it a priority to ensure a 2nd visit was made during our 9 day vacation and trust me 2nd visit was just as great. Would highly recommend if your looking for meal to check out the place. Visited from Canada

Food was great. But one of the waiters was rude. So 3/5.

Its my second time visiting kezban and overall the food is pretty good but not amazing. The rice is a bit stodgy,the salad is a small portion and not much variety. Ive been to almost every turkish restaurant in edinburgh and Verdo is still the best by far. On a more positive note,the waitress was very friendly though and the interior of the restaurant is very nice.

Had a fantastic lunch . Restaurant was quiet which worried me at first but food and service was excellent. Stayed for 3 hours without any hassle from staff . 6 adults and everyone loved the food with no complaints.

We ordered the chicken Ali Nazek - very good; the Izgara kofte - pretty good; Cacik - very good; the falafel - okay, but short on herbs; the Ezme - ok. We also ordered two baklava and two kopperburg (fruit cider) but got back to the hotel and they were nowhere to be seen. Too far to go back and when I called the number on the website there was no answer. We lived in Turkey for two years and feel pretty confident in our taste. Disappointed!!!! I lost 20 💷. Guess they thought the Americans could afford it.

Extremely warm welcome, super friendly staff and incredibly good food. We came by chance and it was the best decision to have dinner at this place!

Dinner was delicious. We had the hummus and bread as an appetizer. We tried 3 different chicken dishes and they were all tasty. For dessert, we tried the chocolate pudding and baklava. We also tried the pomegranate tea which was fantastic on a cold day.

This was an incredible dining experience. We had a large group with a toddler and the staff and owner made us feel like we were at home. Not only was the food some of the best we had on vacation, the staff were so inviting and friendly it made me wish we could come to this restaurant all the time. If you have a chance to check it out, you will not regret it!

Very expensive. Small portions . There was nothing special about the food. actually the lamb ribs were dry and the rice was not cooked properly. However, it is clean and spacious. The staff were polite.
